When did you get a BFP?

I tested for the first time today (6dp3dt) and got a negative. I know it is still really early (my beta isn't until Tuesday) but if you were testing on your own, when did you get a positive?

i think i got a bfp at 8dp5dt and it was a very faint line...try again in a couple days...best of luck to you

I got a faint line, so faint I did not see it till hours later, at 5dp5dt. I was convinced it would be negative and DH refused to let me POAS anymore. I held out until 9dp5dt. I POAS again and it turned BFP while I was still peeing.

Give it a few more days...till Sunday if you can hold out.

i tested 7dp3dt and got a bfn. I did not test again until my beta 14dp3dt. my beta was 154 a pretty solid number i wwouldnt test again until 10-11 days post transfer youll drive yourself nuts

6dp3dt is too early! keep your hopes up!

My name is Leora, and I am also addicted to HPTs... I call myself a POAS-a-holic. (We were were trying before we knew of our problems, I would pee almost everyday!)

I've only ever gotten one BFP, but that was the cycle I didn't test until the day before my beta (11dp3dt).

6dp5dt or 11dpo ...but honestly no one but me could see the line. Most women cant see it till 12 or 13dpo. Heck, there are numerous stories on here about girls poas the morning of their beta at 14 to 17dpo getting a BFN...only to get a BFP at their beta a few hours later. You're testing way too early.

I think it was 5dp5td... there was a line at 4dp5td but not convincing until the next day.

The best advice I got on here was to go out and get a digital test. They are a little more expensive but you get the results right away and dont have to guess whether there is a line or not. I had starting getting faint positives at 10dp3dt...it ended up being a chemical pregnancy but the digital test did help ease my mind for a few days.

Thank you so so so much for responding ladies! It just makes me feel better to know that everyones results are so varied.

I honestly hadn't been planning on testing until 2 days before my beta (Sunday), but then I read about a woman who tested positive on 6dp3dt and it totally screwed me over! I swung by the drugstore on the way home and bought 6 sticks!

I tested negative again this morning, but I'm still feeling pretty positive, and I have to say I almost feel better testing at least. I was so on edge just wating, so right now at least I feel like I'm at least actively doing something.

The stick I peed on this morning has a super faint line now that it didn't have this morning (I actually took a picture this morning, so I was able to zoom in on it tonight and make sure I hadn't missed anything - how ridiculous is that?!?) The one I peed on yesterday doesn't have that. I know better than to count something that showed up hours later, but I'm still hopeful it means something good and that tomorrow or Saturday will be the real thing...

SIF that's exactly how it happened for me. The first stick looked negative then much later in the day it looked like a faint line. Stay positive and lots of sticky baby dust to you!!!!!!!!!

SIF, that happened to me also! I told myself that this time around I wouldn't POAS, but caved and bought some... then was so impatient that the first test I actually peed on at work. I thought it was negative, but as I was at work I wrapped it in papertowels and stuck it in my purse so it wouldn't get found in the trash can. Then after it sat for a while I took another peek at it just to make sure (yes, there are LOTS of us who are that "ridiculous"!) and thought I saw a line so, heart thumping, I went back into the lav and stared at it for like 10 minutes (OK, probably less but it felt like a while crouched in that stall). I was convinced I saw something, but a couple hours later it wasn't there anymore. I decided that I would wait for my stronger "morning pee" to test again but only made it until I woke up at 4 in the morning. Again after a shorter wait but still longer than the recommended 5 minutes it looked like there was this faint line. So I ran back into the bedroom and started shaking my husband to ask him if he could see it too. And he did, though he was disappointingly blase about it (in his defense, he was still asleep at the time). I think that was at 8dp5dt. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

It happened to me again this morning, only I *thought* I saw a shadow of a line initially, that did get darker after a few hours.... can you really count that?!? I mean, does it count?!?

Tomorrow is another day... in like 12 hours!
