Tess- I'm so sorry to hear about DH's nana. Family is important during loss and I hope you are both doing better.
As for any opinion for how many...well we transferred three and only one stuck. Still not sure how that works but anyhow, I would have LOVED twins and the "instant family" but one healthy one will be just fine too. Not sure if we will ever do this again as DH is super freaky about money and saving. Guess we'll have to see. Just decide what is right for you both. That's what is important anyhow! :D

i transferred 2 five day blasts and only one implanted.....i asked to put 3 back but RE said no...i was kinda hoping for twins too but am happy with my one little bean just as well....hey can someone help me make a sig?? i have no idea how..

Hi all

Kitty, PA_FA, Kamaile - thanks for your thoughts on how many embies to transfer. It's a tricky one really. DH and I would also love the 'instant' family but at the same time it would be nice to know we had another frosty put aside should the first FET not implant. Personally, I'm veering towards implanting two - mainly because of my age. DH and I haven't discussed whether or not we would go through the IVF process again after (hopefully) having a singleton or twins. I'm fairly conscious of my age but at the same time am trying to stay open minded. I think DH is rather stuck on the idea of twins. We have friends who went through IVF and have twin girls who are now nearly 9. We've known the twins since they were babies and it's been lovely watching their relationship grow. Who knows two frosties might not make it through the thaw and then the decision would be made for us!

Kamaile - signatures, took me a while to figure out too. Go to User Control Panel (UCP) above the title of this forum i.e. May Cycle babies. Under the profile tab, go to edit signatures. Let me know if you have any probs.

Rio - are you out there?? How was your last HCG level?

All you other lovely ladies - hope you're all fine.

I'm happy to move over to Feb 2011 babies board with you ladies if you're finding it a pain posting to two forums. As long as you're happy with me hanging in there. Hopefully, I'll join my own cycle group again in a month or two :D I still want to follow everyone's progress and hear all your lovely preggie tales.

Tess - we had a hard time deciding how many to transfer as well. For us we wanted to just add one more to our family. In the end we decided to transfer 2, because it gave us a 15% boost in success rates. They both stuck for us. I think age is an important factor though, I am 30 so that may have something to do with why both of them stuck. I am really happy that you are still sticking around and making plans for your FET. I know you will have some great luck, just keep up the positive energy!

i ordered a fetal heartbeat doppler...its supposed to come today......hope it works!

Just received my fetal heartbeat doppler from the UPS guy and it works!! Heard my lil beans heartbeat!! AWESOME!

OMG really???? You can hear the hb already? Maybe I should order one. Of course what happens if you just can't find it and then you would worry. Hmmmm what to do, what to do?

My friend had one and would use it thru out her pregnancy to give her peace of mind, especially because she was spotting thru out her whole pregnancy...she said it really helped her....i bought mine from Amazon and it was cheap only 27.99 and they said you can hear the HB from 8-12 weeks, alot of people saying they heard it at 8 or 9 weeks..

Saw my OB today...also saw the lil bean..he (or she lol) had a 178 HB but wasnt moving around this time, DR said he was sleeping. My OB also cut my progesterone down to one shot in the am and a suppository in the pm. YAY! Taking 2 progesterone shots a day was insane! I get to have a gender U/S at a fetal diagnostic center in 4 more weeks and my OB already set my date for my c-section as Feb 1, 2011!

I had a c-section with my last child (14 years ago lol) so i have to do it that way again...I have 3 older children from first marriage and had my tubes tied after youngest...thats why i do IVF now....just a lil of my history lol
