July Cycle Buddies-FET anyone?

Hi Ladies,

I just joined the board but I'm just started my 1st IVF cycle last week. I'm on Day 5 of 175 Follistim. I haven't started any other drugs but my Nurse told me that I'll probably be starting Menopur tomorrow. Yesterday when I went into the doctor he said it looked as if things were going well. He say 6 follicles growing on the left ovary and 8 on the right so I'm hoping I'm on the right track!.
So, all of my other ladies doing IVF...How are things going? How is your process? I'm just hoping to get to know some of the ladies on here!

Unfortunately it apears I had a bio-chemical pregnancy. I saw the dr again this morning and he thought AF should have been here by now but it has not started. So I'm starting birth control today. I go back in a month for a saline ultrasound to make sure my uterus looks clean and everthing is gone. As long as the ultrasound goes well we look good for 9/22/10 FET with our last 3 embryos. I was thinking about waiting longer but the more I think about it I think moving forward instead of waiting is the way to go.

So my fingers and toes are crossed for everbody to have positive cycles! Good luck to you all!

MrsIVFinNYC... I am on day 7 of my injections, estrogen this morn was 982 and I now have approx 40 follicles growing strong! Nurse told me to stop my menopur but still taking follistim and cetrotide. It looks like retrieval will be this Monday! This is my first IVF as well so this is all new to me...looks like we are only a few days apart. Lets keep eachother posted!

Jencas - my heart is with you right now my dear. The ups and downs of our fertility roller coaster can be so harsh. I love that you are looking to the future with positive thoughts - that is the one thing we seem to have any sort of control over. I say if you have three to transfer in Sept, then go for it as soon as you can!
Katie G - is your fet soon?? how are the shots going? This crinone s*#t is for the freakin' birds.

Krissy @ We so should keep each other updated...I'm glad to have someone to chat w/who is at the same stage I am right now.

So, Ladies...I'm freaking out now...I just got back from monitoring and the doctor says my eggs are responding so well to the follistim that my eggs are at 16(He said they have to get to 18) and they plan on doing ER on Sunday or Monday(OMG). That will mean I've only been on meds for 7-10 days. Is that normal? Has it gone so fast for anyone else?
I just need to know this is normal...He also told me that I'm probably going to start Menopur and Ganirelix but I won't know until my nurse calls me later this afternoon...

MrsIVF--I too responded well and quick durning my fresh cycle in 2008. I dont remember the exact days but I do know they coasted me a few days. I ended up with 22eggs and 13 fertilized. I wouldn't freak out too much its hard trust me. I'm sure your doc is watching for OHSS. They dont want that and believe me you don't either. Good luck and keep us updated.

I had my transfer today. THey thawed 4 and 2 made it. They said they looked good. I have been very crampy. I don't remember it last time at all but they said don't worry it was probably the progesterone. I hope everyone is doing well. I am home doing my bed rest. It is going to be much harder this go round w/ a 21 month old at home.. But I will stick with it. Take care!!

MrsIVF- I also responded very quickly with follistim. My RE had to lower my does. I think it took around 8-10 days before I had my retrieval. Best of luck to you!

KatieG- I have my transfer Monday. I am very excited, but nervous! Are you going to take HPT prior to your beta? Sending lots of sticky vibes your way!

Jessica---My beta with my fresh cycle was 188 but I dont remember how many days past my 5transfer that was. I have heard the FET betas are usually a bit lower. With my fresh cycle I didnt not take a HPT. This time around I probably will just b/c I feel like I know more and I will read into everything having gone through it already. Good luck with your transfer Monday. Sending baby dust and sticky vibes. I tend to relax more during the 2WW b/c I feel like I have done everthing I can up to this point. Sounds crazy but so far I feel better then I did up prior to the transfer. I'm sure my anxiety will pick up at some point.

BFP alert!!! Got back from the beach yesterday & went for b/w ... which was the LAST thing I wanted to do after being in the car for nearly 6hrs. My 23 month old was totally spent, she slept 12 hrs last night! Anway, didn't get the news until this morning. My levels are low at 19, but I'll do more b/w Monday and Wednesday. I did not do a home test (was it called POAS?). Felt it was too early & didn't want to go through the ups and downs associated with it. Cautiously optimistic at this point.

My fresh IVF girls...I too responded overly well to the meds. I ended up with OHSS, felt like a chicken over producing eggs! Retrieval went well, and if I remember I had a number in the high 20s, 14 fertilized, 8 made it to day 5 blasto stage. We transferred 2, and ended up freezing only 3 - since the remaining ones weren't as strong. A few days after that transfer, I had a cyst rupture from the hyperstim, and let me tell you that was not pleasant! All was well though, we made it through & that cycle gave us our beautiful daughter who will be 2 next month! And it looks like she'll be a big sis!

Sticky vibes to you Katie G! Other than sitting in the car, I did a lot of sitting on the beach & sitting on the steps of the pool this past week. Tried to relax as much as possible...but like you said it is hard to do with a toddler in your life!

OK...My issue of the day...Yesterday, I started Menopur(1 vial) and Ganirelix. A little bit afterwards I started have lower abdominal pain and the constant feeling as if I'm bloated and now it just hurts. When I spoke to my doctor today during monitoring he said that it's just swollen ovaries. Is that normal? What can I do to make it feel better? I'm just laid out in bed praying that I feel better soon.

MrsIVFinNYC...I am feeling the exact same way almost like I am full of gas!!! I am hoping that they will retrieve this weekend...I suppose this bloating will prepare us for similar preggo symptoms

Soccermom congrats on your BFP!!!!!! Im sending baby dust your way for your numbers to keep rising. Krissy and MrsIVF what your feeling is your ovaries. I remember feeling that way its uncomfortable but should be expected. I'm sure your doc will keep a close eye to make sure your dont over stimulate. Day 2 of bedrest is going okay!

Hey Ladies...I'm just getting back from the beach so I wanted to catch everyone up and say hi!!! My ER is on Monday at 11:30...My nurse called me and she was so excited for me...I have to take the Ovidrel at 11:30pm tonight! I hoping that it all goes well. I'm really afraid about it to be honest but I'm trying to remain strong!!! Well, My swollen ovaries still hurt so I need to lay down...A lot of baby dust to everyone!!!

MrsIVF...I just took my trigger shot at 9:45pm, my transfer is Mon at 9:45am. Thanks for the baby dust...back at ya
