This board has been super quiet! You'd think you ladies were busy or something!!  We just finished moving into a new house. Let's just say I was actually happy to come back to work after a week off moving!

My twins are growing like little weeds. Chaz is sitting up on his own and we've just started to sit him on the carpet anywhere with or without pillows. When and if he falls over it's slow and we say "boom boom" and he just laughs . Jos just isn't very interested. She can sit for a short while but she'd rather be on her tummy slithering around like a little "slow" snake  Just this past weekend Chaz has started to work his legs more and try to get on his knees. I'll give in a few weeks and I think he's going to crawl! Joslyn seems to want to just skip to walking :D .

aims, the last few nights the twins have been waking up several times. They were doing good for a few weeks and sleeping from 7:30 to about 5:00 a.m. Not sure what's going on now, maybe teething? Whatever it is, hope it passes soon!

Cymplicity - Chaz and Jos could be teething. Ren is going to have his first tooth soon. I can feel it about to pop through the gums. I was expecting Piper to get hers first but Ren has her beat so far. I'm starting to get the twins to go to sleep better. I was on 3rd shift for a little while and their sleep schedules got really off track. I love my DH but he just wouldn't put them to bed like I would. How much do Chaz and Jos weigh now?

AFM - I have an issue. DH doesn't want any more kids but I think I do. I have 5 frozen embryos left and we're having to decide what we're going to do with them. I would never force DH to have children he doesn't want but I don't think I can part with the embryos. It would be wonderful if I could donate them to another couple, but I'm not sure I could handle knowing I have children out there somewhere. Our other option would be to donate them to stim cell research. So, I just wondered if anyone had any advice. I'm starting to think I should keep them frozen for awhile.

Hey Everyone!!
I haven't had time to write on here in a while. But I have been reading your posts :D Gabbi is sick today, she's had a fever for the past three days, but is doing great otherwise. Not sure why she's sick, probably a virus. She is getting her first tooth, it's poking through now. I don't think the fever is from the tooth though, since the fever is so high (103.9) She still sleeping though the night, from 9:30pm to 9-10 am the next morning. I'm so glad, just taking care of her during the day makes me so tired, (as you guys know) and so I'm soooo ready for some sleep at night. She is sitting up great, she can sit up and play with her toys for hours and not fall over. Not crawling yet...I'm hoping that's next :)

aims327 - I know exactly what you mean...my husband really doesn't want any more kids either. He says he is happy with just one. But I could NEVER destroy my embyos...I don't believe in abortion and I feel like destroying them would be killing them. I just can't do it. On the othe hand, donating them would also bother me. I would look at every child I saw and wonder if it was my child. I know people donate, and there is a need for it, but I can't do it. So, sometime next year I am going to use my last 2 embryos. I have no other option in my mind. My husband will just have to "get over it!"

dys - How did your FET go? Are you preggo? I can't wait to hear how it went.

cymplicity27 - The new pictures of the twins on Facebook are so cute!!! They are just little dolls!!

Hello all,

I have been MIA for weeks. I had to deal with the loss of my father. It is so sad that Faith will not be able to play with her grandfather anymore :-(

Otherwise, she is doing great. Not sitting yet, but crawling backwards a lot. She is not crawling forward yet. I heard tihs is how they start. Is that true???

She is also trying to talk (make sounds) a lot.

Have you all started giving eggs & meat to your babies already?

Tara.

Tara - Sorry to hear about your father. :( Piper isn't crawling yet but she is trying. She moves her arms likes she wants to but can't seem to get her legs to work like she wants. Ren hasn't even tried crawling but he can roll his way around. lol

Kellie - I haven't decided anything on embryos I have left. For right now, I'm just keeping them frozen. Piper and Ren have teeth poking through too! Piper actually has two coming in and Ren has one. They've been really fussy but not as bad as they were with colic.

Hi everyone!

Tara, so so sorry to hear about your father! My condolences to your family. The twins have had chicken, beef and turkey (in jar food) but no eggs yet. We are just starting to feed them things from the table. They are sampling things off the menu at day care and I offer them a little of whatever I'm eating sometimes.

AFM - Chaz and Jos had Hand, Foot and Mouth disease a couple weeks ago. It started with a fever and then the rashes started. They were totally fine and it didn't affect their mood at all. Apparently it was going around school. It only lasted a few days so it sounds much worse than it really is...thank goodness! Now they have colds again. I've learned to just live with the fact that if it's out there, my kids will catch it  .

Jos has started to get on all fours! Out of the blue she sprung up and can even move her knees. She just can't figure out what to do with her hands  .

I haven't checked this board in a while - interesting for me to see that the subject of another baby has come up! Anyone know if dys got a BFP? We have 4 frosties left, and sounds like I'm the odd one out whose husband is more anxious for another baby than I am!! We are thinking of starting the ball rolling again this fall so that they will be about 2 years apart. The only person against it is strangely enough my mom, who thinks I should just "wait a while." Of course, that's what she said when we first started trying to get pregnant and it took 4 years! I totally agree on not wanting to just "dispose of" the leftover embryos. We have enough for two tries, and even if the next FET happens to work we still might end up doing another FET just to give those last 2 a chance at life.

Sounds like all of your babies are doing better than Sean at sitting up. The boy does NOT like to sit! I try to sit him up, and he throws himself backwards trying to stand. Then he clamps his mouth shut, glares, and goes "MMMmmmmmmmmmmeh" until he gets bright red in his face. If he is sitting next to something sufficiently tall enough he can pull himself up to standing. No crawling though he does get on all fours and rock. He can walk holding onto a walker if I hold the walker so that it doesn't go too fast.

Sean has one bottom front tooth halfway out and the second one is just starting to come out. We gave him a little bit of Earth's Best chicken, but he was not a fan. He is also on a prolonged strike from drinking formula. I can't wait until he can drink milk. He loves pears and this cereal my aunt sends from Austria that, according to the packaging, is flavored like butter cookies. Yum!

We just had our first real illness, pukiness with a fever of 103.5 which was no fun. When I referred to my baby book it said there was no need to call the doctor at his age until the fever was 104, then it literally said in parenthesis "Yes, we know this is way past your comfort zone." Ha. So I gritted my teeth and didn't call the ped, just used vinegar socks and Tylenol which brought the temperature right down. We all survived. :D

We have been in "swimming" a lot the past week since we have had some seriously hot weather - hot enough that my 88-year-old Nana got in the kiddie pool too! He loves the water, so I want to make sure that over the winter we keep going to an indoor pool so that he stays used to it.

OK, THAT was a hugely long update! Picture of my little dude attached. Hope to hear more from the rest of you!

Hi Mommies!

I know I havent checked in in a while had a very busy schedule with work, baby, summer and of course the FET. Speaking of which it was a BFN :( actually it was a chemical i had positive HPT's and they got lighter and lighter up until my beta which was negative. It wasnt as hard as my first negative IVF, actually i didnt even cry maybe becvause of my DD i didnt take it hard. Anyway the good news is I'm gearing up for a fresh cycle! I'm starting lupron tomorrow and when my AF comes probably in a week or to will start stims. I'm excited yet nervous. I signed up for a shared risk program so will have 3 chances to concieve if not i get a refund so I'm relax just as with my DD's IVF ( i took the plan then too)

Anyway, Wondercat Sean is sooo adorable! and dont worry my DD isnt sitting up yet either. I mean she sits well by herself but she gets so excited about everything that she starts wiggling and she falls over or just falls back all the time. She can stand when holding on to something and really loves it. I bought a walker but she havent figured out how to use it yet (she was only in it twice)

I tried meats for the past week and she loves it! she tried chicken and turkey and will eat the whole jar and say ummmmmmm for more! lol both of them have sweet potatoes in it and she loves sweet pt. so no wonder! I tasted the chicken and it actually tastes good. I buy the beech nut "yummy meals" ones because the only intergers (sp?) are chicken and sweet potatoes no additives like in the gerber ones. All of their meals have no weird additives just the meat and veggie and water. They were pretty cheap at BJ's 18 meals (jars) for $7.50

i feel so lucky that we had no illness at all with her ever since she was born! She's teething now but she's us fussy around night time and rubs her gums all the time poor thing :(

i dont know about you all but i feel like this is the best time now with my DD. I havent really enjoyed her that much up until she turned like 5 months Does this sound harsh? I feel like she sooo cute and lovable now that she plays and laughs and tries to bang on things and pulls stuff ohhh i just feel so blessed! Dont get me wrong i always felt blessed to have her but i hated the getting up all night, and especially colic screaming all day spells. The one thing i do miss is her being small. She so big now almost 29'' and 18.5 lbs at her 6 month check up i miss her being the little peanut.

ok g2g clean the house a little

Tara- I'm so sorry about your dad :(

dys24 - Sorry to hear about your BFN....I had been wondering how that went. So you didn't get upset? I guess already being a mom probably helps a lot...when you have fertility problems, just to be blessed with one baby makes us feel lucky. I really hope your fresh cycle goes well and you end up with a BFP :D
I can't wait to try for another baby, but my hubby and I have decided to wait till next summer before going through it all again. IVF was really hard on me...I found it so painful because I was over stimulated (they got out 32 eggs) and I was just in a lot of pain for 3-4 days. So I didn't like IVF one bit....I'm going to give my body a rest then gear up for baby #2 next summer. I wish you much luck :D

Otherwise, I am fine. I hope everyone else is doing fine. Everyone seems to be MIA, I guess we're all so busy now.

kutekellie- thank you! I'm probably going to start stims sometime in a week or two. I guess you are right, having my DD made it much easier to get a BFN dont get me wrong i was pretty bummed but it wasnt as bad as when i got bfn on my 1st ivf.

My baby said dada and mama today!!!!! she was saying all day long lol it was the cutest thing ever!

dys24 - Also sorry about your BFN, but sounds like your head is in the right place and you are already on to the next one. I don't think it sounds harsh to say that you didn't enjoy the difficult parts of being a mom. I think there's too much pressure on us moms to enjoy EVERY part of motherhood even things that any normal human being might find desperately unpleasant, that's how we end up neurotic! And DANG, yes your baby is big! She is so much younger than Sean and he was just 29 inches and 18.5 lbs at his 9 month checkup this morning!! Of course, my husband and I are short but they told us that his height was 90th percentile. He also has a 90th percentile head (18.5 inches), but his weight is only 25th percentile. Doctor said he looks great though, which we already knew. :) My grandmother said it didn't matter what the doctors said anyway, because "Nana thinks he looks perfect!"

kutekellie99 - Holy crap 32 eggs!!! I was pretty overstimulated my first round, too, but not like that! I don't blame you for wanting to wait a little while to let your body recover.

Speaking of bodies recovering, I have a general question... I am back down to at least a weight I have been before but despite the fact that I stopped breastfeeding almost 4 months ago my boobs are still significantly bigger than they have ever been in my life. My husband is in heaven (typical man) but I was really happy smaller. Has this happened to anybody else? Anybody know how long they should take to go back down? I just had to order over $100 of bras from Victoria's Secret because it's really hard to find bras in 32DD... Actually I ordered 32D's and had to send them all back - it's ridiculous!

Faith is turning 8 months next week, but she had her 6 months check up only last week because we were out of the country as my father passed away. Faith's weight is 20.2lbs and her height is 28 inches. Doctor said she is doing great.

Their first birthdays are approaching!!! Anybody have any big plans?

Hi Everyone!

dys24, sorry about the BFN :( . Good luck on your fresh cycle! I agree that the babies are much more fun now! Before I was always worried if I was actually teaching them anything or helping them develop because all they did was eat, sleep and poop  . To see them exploring, babbling and laughing now is such a joy!!

Tara, just wanted to say I'm sorry again about your father. Sounds like Faith is doing great! Yeah, I can't believe that we're only 4 months away from first birthdays!! Those first few months for us seemed to go by so slow...now time is flying by! The twins' birthday is the weekend after Thanksgiving so we'll probably have a party while all the family is in town. Unfortunately it may be bad timing for any of their friends that we'd want to invite (but at least they are too young to be too concerned about that  )

AFM, the twins are doing well for the most part. Chaz had ear infections again. The pediatrician said that if he gets another one in a few months that we'll consider putting tubes in his ear. DH had to have tubes as a child and apparently the ear infections can be hereditary. Dys24, the twins also love sweet potatoes and anything with sweet potatoes in it!! We buy the exact same food from BJ's :D .

Anyone crawling yet?? Jos scoots or does an army crawl and pretty much gets to where ever she wants to go. Chaz can sit in one spot for the longest...doesn't seem as interested in getting around although he can wiggle to whatever he wants to get to if he wants it bad enough.

Hello Ladies,

How is everybody doing? I have a problem. Faith has been eating solid food very well for the past 2 months. She has been eating whatever I gave and we were falling into a good schedule. Suddenly for the past 4 days, she is refusing to eat solids. She is drinking her formula though, but she just has no mood for solids. I don't know why this sudden change?! Is it because of teething? I am worried that she might start loosing weight.

Anybody came across this situation. Any advice?

Tara.
