Lou - Dont panic, honey. Sometimes you just stim faster than other times, if he didnt lower your FSH meds (follistim) then he just wants to ensure that you get as many as you can.The Ganirelix will give the others some time to catch up. My best cycle was an antagonist and on that one I stimmed quick, just 7 days and triggered on that night. if you have 1 @15mm, and more between 9-13mm, you're doing fine. If it were a dominant follicle, you'd have all the tiny ones with no chance of catching up well under 10mm. I know its freaking you out to stim so fast, but you did have a nice long break from these meds, and time for your body to regroup. I do think that now you'll get bumped up to daily monitoring, though, so they'll be keeping a close watch on you. and dont forget that they prefer to to go to ER with follies at 20mm, but can get an egg from one as small as 16mm, my RE didnt like to trigger until 20mm, but said that optimally 20- 23 or 24mm is what they want, so you have plenty of time still. You're doing great so far! And remember that antagonist leans towards quality over quantity

Wow..I haven't been on this site in a few days and so much has happened. I'm still catching up.I wish I could dedicate more time to you all but for some reason I can't log on at work and am usually too exhausted when i get home to sit in front of the computer. Anyway, let me start by saying you are all truly amazing woman. No one (unless they are going through this process) can really understand the ups and downs that we all are going through. But one thing i learned these past two years is that this whole process has made me stronger and I CAN deal with anything that comes my way.

Miyaya, amanda1979- I hear you. The 2WW totally stinks. It feels never ending. Do something nice for yourselfs and have some fun you deserve it.

Margie - glad to hear about your rising betas. I am learning alot from this site. Until now i didnt really know what a Beta was and still learning the lingo and all the different types of procedures. It took me a few days to realize what ER and ET meant - I'll get it sooner than later. :)

Rypell1985 - Hope your dad is well. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Klinger13 - When I first made the decision to move onto IVF, I couldnt wait to get my period. Strange right, but just wanted to start as quickly as possible. So hope AF come soon so you can get the process rolling.

Hey TammyS - So how did your DH do in Battle of The Bands? My DH plays the drums in 3 bands. Unfortunately one of the band member (who plays in 2 of them) is moving out of the country so they are breaking up. So sad I always enjoyed being a "band chick." I start Lupron on Thursday. Unexpectedly got AH while on the BCP this weekend and though it took me by complete surprsie my IVF RN states that its common but it still makes me uneasy. Hope this doesn"t mean any delay in my treatment.

Lou71 - sounds like you have a difficult decision to make. I wish I could help out but this is all so foreign to as I am still trying to understand it all. I am sure that you will end up making the decision that is right for you.

Karin1 - good luck on your search and wishing you well.

I know there is so many more of you on the site - fitzjrll, gr8countrygirl,tohavefun08, chili. And I am sure I am missing others - wishing you well and take care. Its' nice to come on and hear your stories and know there are other woman that can understand what I am going through.

Okay, I am going to pour myself a little glass a wine and listen to my DH play the guitar. He sounds so sexy ;)

Have a Good Night

Wow I just read much, I don't think I can remember what I wanted to write. I am on my IPod and can't scroll back.

Franny - so sorry you have to hear about all these fertile women and their babies! 3 people close to me have had babies withing the past month, and 2 more are due within the next two!

Lou - I use Cetrocide when I start to get some big follies. I don't think you will have any problems.

Tammy - how is your stimming going?

Ryan - So sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he is doing better!
Don't worry about the stims, you will be doing shots soon too!!!

Esther - Great job with the chart!! I do not have a set ER we take it day to day.

AFM - After 6 days of stims I have about 5 follicles on each side but not measurable yet. This is normal for me! My E2 was only 270. Last cycle they had me doing a vaginal estradiol pill after 6 days of stimming, but this time the nurse said to wait. I go back Wednesday so I hope theysay to start it then. I need a kick start!!!

Wow- I was just out of town for a couple days and feel like I missed quite a bit! I hope everyone is doing well! Tammy- I think you were asking about my estimated schedule - I should be ER on 8/2 or 8/3 and then transfer later that week. So it does sound like a few of us are very close.

I went in for my first u/s and b/w since i started stimmning on Friday. I have 3 follicles on the right and 3 on the left that are measurable. So numbers look ok but what has me concerned - especially now that I'm reading Lou's post and the replies is that there is one that is ~25mm but the others are only 8-12mm. Why is the one so big?? My E2 is 606. You guys think this is ok? Even with seeing the size of that follicle the nurse was expecting that I would be triggering this weekend - she didn't sound super concerned with it, but should we be doing something different? I'm so nervous that I'm going to be in the same boat as last time where we only had a couple mature eggs to work with :(

Also, how much water do you think is enough to be drinking at this stage or do you think I should just keep drinking as much as possible? If it helps the follies grow, I'll be drinking it by the gallon but I've been up going to the bathroom multiple times in the middle of the night - so it makes it difficult to get some solid sleep! Maybe I should try to drink lots in the day and then taper it off after 8pm.

Didi - congrats on your BFP - that is VERY exciting!!!

Lou - really sounds like we may be on the same schedule and with some of the same issues. Let me know how your next U/S goes. My clinic only has 2D - wish I could get the 3D measures. My next one is Thurs am.

Moorebaby (is it Ester?) - you do such a great job of keeping track of everyone! I really love your quote in your signature - trying hard to keep my attitude positive cuz I want a miracle!

Miyaya...Ohhh...I would be sooo mad, too. I would insist if this cycle does not work that he do another one for free. I'm sending up lots and lots of prayers for your little embie. Big Hugs.

Margi...Woohoo!!! That is awesome!!! I cant believe they are making you wait till Monday...maybe call and beg for another one sooner?

Didi...Congrats mama!!! Awesome news!!!

Lou...I have no idea and wish I did. Did you ask Ghost his opinion? Praying that all is well. My RE does a 2D ultrasound.

Ester...Thanks for keeping the chart updated and yayyyy for adding yourself to the list finally! You nearly made me cry reading your kind words. I can do this! Thanks for the encouragement. I cant believe you had to do the pap twice...but at least he was hot! lol

Franny...Vent away! We all understand and I know that I have vented a few times on here myself. Great Big Hugs.

Lauren...SnS went great ...sounds like everything is going very well for you too. You go back tomorrow? Let us know how it goes.

Gogirl...They lost by 3 votes! Can you believe it? The band who won really should have been disqualified...because they only played 1 original and they were only 17 yrs old in a bar. lol It was supposed to be all originals only. But, they were cute and good.

Chris...Good Luck tomorrow!!!

Carol...Yes, basically that is what a beta is...it measures the amount of pregnancy hormone. And, yes you always assume that your pregnancy is going well unless your beta numbers drop instead of increase or you get AF. If you get a BFN however, there will not be any pregnancy hormone to measure. Sounds like you are doing very well...keep up the great work.

Katie...Thanks for your kind words...you make me feel stronger just reading that. I felt the same way...never felt like I belonged in the baby stores until way after Zach was born.

Klinger...I'm still dancing here for you. Anything yet?! Geesh. My ovaries are hurting...so my dancing looks a little like I have a stick up my butt. lol

Fitz...I'm bruising sooo bad now, too. It stinks.

Kbillsy...Yes, we are very close. Sooo exciting! I wish I could help with the E2 numbers ...I just dont know. Ask Ghost? Praying that all is okay. Keep us posted.

AFM: My SnS went great today. They see 7 follies already after only 3.5 days of stimming!!! Apparantly my ovaries never got the message that I'm 42 now...Thank God! lol My E2 level was only a 60, but honestly not bad considering that I was finishing up AF today and that it was only a 5 on Friday at my baseline. Comparing my cycle with Zach's cycle 2.5 yrs ago...I only had 5 follies after 3.5 days of stimming. My E2 level was 119 then...but I started out at 13 and did not have a period at all that cycle. The nurse told me not to worry because my E2 levels have always been known to jump up very quickly (3200 on ER day for 14 eggs)...and I noticed that too in my journal notes from '08. So, I'm not concerned at all (sorta) about the E2 level and thrilled to have 2 extra follies compared to last time. I did read that they like to see an E2 of 100 or so on the first ultrasound or at least a doubling increase from the baseline...so I will not worry just yet.

To compare further: Zach's cycle I had 14 eggs, 12 retrieved, 10 mature, 8 fertilized, 3 we put back, and 3 made it to blast to be frozen. I am hopeful with todays 7 follies that there will be several more to pop up between now and ER, which is normal anyways. Who knows I may even get close to my numbers retrieved from 2.5 yrs ago...even though my antral count didnt seem very high last Friday, at only approx 10 follies to work with.

My next SnS is Friday. So weird that my cycle is almost identical to Zach's including the days that I am to go back for SnS and everything. I am hoping that it is a positive sign of good things to come. Now, if only I could get the mood swings (towards DH only, poor guy), headaches, and ovary twinges under control. lol

Hugs and love to all!

Franny- I have never been to New Hampshire, but I would love to come give you a big hug too. I actually had a co-worker this weekend ( who just had a baby) ask me if I was pregnant yet? I was so pissed and my response was what kind of stupid question is that. I think I hurt her feelings but come on why would you ask somebody who is going through all this stuff that?

AFM: I am trying to talk my husband into going to wal-mart tonight for some HPTs  It is 10:30 pm here, but we are 3rd shifters so it is really our day time. I don't know if we are going or not. I would go by myself, but this late at night I don't want to be a lone woman at the wal-mart.

Miyaya--I know that you had a hard day...but you've got a precious little embie inside that needs your undivided attention. It only takes one and this could be it. I don't blame you for being mad, I would be too. You have to let go of the anger and concentrate on making a nice comfy place for it to stick. Think positive happy thoughts.

Lou--I wish I could give you some advice. I have no idea. I thought that everything was going great for you. I'm sure that you're worried for nothing. It's good that you're going in tomorrow and that they're keeping a close eye on you. Try not to freak out and just wait to see what he says tomorrow. I'm sure everything is fine.

Chris--Good luck on your beta tomorrow! I'm praying for you!

Amanda--It's so funny that you talk about going to Wal-Mart late at night. When I lived on the east coast I always went late at night. It was the best time. My life was alot different then too. It was before I got Hannah. I actually miss Wal-Mart. I haven't been to one in forever. There's none around here. You have to drive at least 30 minutes and they suck. Not the same as the east coast. So now I go to Target...alot. Remember once you start POAS...you can't stop! Good luck! :)

Margi--Congrats on rising betas! :D

Tammy--I'm glad that your stimming is doing good. I'm jealous of your ovaries! You'll have a sibling for Zach in no time! Keep it up! :D

AFM....I took Hannah and a friend to see Eclipse. It was good. I think the acting is pretty terrible, but the story is good. I was waiting for her to get home from ATL to see it. Even though she saw it while she was there. The other day, I picked up her phone and her screen saver was the ultrasound picture of my ex's baby. His girlfriend had text it to her. Wasn't that nice of her? You know she did it so that I would see it....biyatch! I was looking at her messages and Hannah had text her friend..."I'm going to be a big sister!" Isn't that great? Hannah does see my ex as a father figure and I understand that she's excited, but it felt like a kick in the stomach. First the photo and then the text....sucks! Anyway...John talked to Hannah and asked her to change the picture and she did. She felt bad and apologized. I told her that it was okay to be excited about it. John told her he didn't think it was appropriate as a screen saver and that we weren't mad, just to change it.

just wanted to say thank you ladies for the support. DH and I have no idea what we will do. I think we will proceed with Fostering a young child with hopes to adopt ...the process takes a while. While we wait, we will consult with a few docs and decide what our chances are before we invest any more money. I know there is still a chance but I also know how slim they are. Need to keep a balance in perspective...at least for me or I let my head run away with itself. I think I will be retreating from the boards for a bit. Knowing we are on a break, I need to really take time off and get IF out of my head for a bit. I wish all you ladies the best. I will check in to see all the BFP's! I promise to be your biggest cheerleader!

Good Morning Ladies!

It is so good to read your posts! Quick question, what does POAS mean? I couldnt figure that one out.

Had my 2nd U/S and BW today. Had 7 good follices over 10. They say Im going in the right direction. I will know my E2 later today. Can someone tell me what numbers I should want to hear?

I am anxious and nervous at the same time. Im afraid to get my hopes up in case it doesnt work. I keep telling myself that the first cycle is trial and error.

Thanks Ladies for all the support. It feels good to be able to talk to someone who is going through the samething!

Miyaya - that's great about fostering a child. I have a friend who adopted a baby from DSS and then went on to have a baby with IVF. In Massachusetts, if you adopt from DSS the child can go to a Mass college for free. There are so many kids, and there is even a MARE website that lists photos of children who are free for adoption. It's sad! The problem is that most of the older kids were in terrible situations, and were either physically or emotionally abused. Most have some sort of behavior issue or something. My DH has a 9 year old daughter, who we have 50% of the time. He is afraid of getting an older child and the two of them not getting along. If my next two IVF cycles do not work, I may look into getting on a waiting list for a baby. It's also free!

Franny -- Well I'm hoping for at least a Fri or Sat trigger. My lead follie is up to about an 18-19. I know I won't trigger today but I'm hoping to get past tomorrow so a few others can catch up. I've got 2 others in the 14-15 range which may have a mature egg. In the past, it's been hit or miss with my 14 mm ones. Then I've got a few in the 11-13 range which I am praying with all my might I get. Then a bunch in the 8-10 range which have "no chance". Thank you for your input!

Katie -- Thank you my friend. You calmed me down with your post. You are probably right... as usual...lol. I saw the RN again this morning as RE was in surgery again. She said he was happy with my results so far. I'm really hoping that's still true.

Lauren1171-- 5 on each side is great! Keep 'em growing!

kbillsy -- Yes, we are definitely in similar situations. 25mm? Are you sure? That sounds really large to me. Each clinic and RE is different so I would definitely ask whether or not he his concerned. I know they want your E2 at least 1000. Maybe that's why they are waiting?

Tammy -- No, I didn't ask Ghost yet. Maybe I will after I get the call from my clinic today with my follie averages and hormone levels. 7 follies so far is very good news for you! Congratulations! What kind of protocol are you on? Lupron microflare? RE won't try that on me because I don't respond to lupron.... ovulate right through it!

Amanda -- So did you get DH to head to Walmart last night so you could POAS???? Too funny! I'm praying for your BFP.

Karin -- Thank you. I'm still a bit worried but doing better. Waiting for the clinic call with my instructions.

miyaya -- Fostering is a great idea! Good luck to you in whatever your next steps are.

Chris -- I'm sorry for your negative HPT and even more sorry that your journey is ending. I understand your need to move on. After all, you do have a life to live! I keep thinking that if IVF doesn't work for us.... that it's not the end of the world. We have each other and we have our health. I truly wish you and DH the best. Much love. XOXO

Cake -- Yep... 7 over 10 mm is definitely in the right direction. Our cycles are very close.... I expect ER/ET next week.

AFM -- SnS this morning again. I've got one annoying large follie in the 18-19mm range and maybe 2 in the 14-15mm range that might have a mature egg in them and then maybe 3 in the 11-13mm range. Unfortunately I've got a bunch that are still in the 8-10 range that will probably never catch up! I'm soooo hoping I don't trigger until at least Friday so I might have a chance at getting around 6 mature eggs. In the past, I've never had a mature eggs in a follie under 14 and even the 14mm ones, only half of those have been mature. I definitely have to go back tomorrow morning for another SnS. Right now I'm waiting for my call with my results and instructions. This is so nerve wracking! RN said RE was happy with my results as of yesterday... but I don't know about today as he was in surgery again. He's supposed to be in tomorrow unless an emergency comes up.
