Loerira11, the suppositories always leaks, after it melts. My Hospital advice that we lie down for about one hour after insertion, before we go about our normal duties. Normally it begins to leak the moment you get up after the 30mins or an hour. Best of luck . Mally

I remember having some pretty insane leakage with the progesterone inserts, and really throughout the whole process including throughout my pregnancy. I think it's all those hormones making you have more of your own discharge than usual.

Even at 12 weeks I am still on the suppositories and they still leak like crazy. I wear a thin pad. I found it works a lot better than a small liner. But yes, your description sounds like what I go through. I usually leak more toward when it is time to put in another one because the first had melted.

Sorry Leorira - I can't answer your question, but I do have one of my own!
I'm about to do an FET cycle and have crinone gel left over from my fresh cycle as I never got to transfer and have pessaries from the script from this cycle. Doc as said to use the crinone first and then the pessaries. It sounds like the crinone isn't as horrid as the pessaries, so my question is, would it be OK to use the crinone in the morning and the pessaries at night?
Leakage sounds about as nice as a slap in the face with roadkill!
pessaries suck, but it's part of the process (which sucks altogether)
I got my BFP on a HPT this morning - so hopefully I'll keep taking these things for a few more weeks!
As for where yours go if you don't leak - how much do you take? I have to take 400mg 2xday - but the pharmacy only stocks 100mg pessaries - so I have to shove FOUR of them up there at a time. I use EIGHT a day. The pharmacist must think I'm selling them or something! (the dosage on the box says 1xday)

Congrats on your BFP! I have to take 3 a day. 1 every 8 hrs. I set my alarm to put one in. I feel so sleep deprived...but we'll all do anything for this!

If the sleeping question is to me..then yes. I do them at midnight, 8am, 4pm. I usually stay awake till midnight then set my alarm to wake up at 8am. Then I go back to sleep until 10am or 11am. (I work nights) And rectally??????????? I have NEVER heard of that one!

I've heard that I can do them rectally "if I prefer"... ummmm NO!
Maybe it's because of the transfer? I'm told NOT to use them the morning of the transfer - to wait until I get home from the hospital and then put them in (I guess so the goop doesn't interfere with the catheter)
Rectally - not unpleasant - surprisingly. I had to take medication daily rectally while I was pregnant (anti-emetics for my HG while pregnant with the twins - I couldn't take it orally because I would barf it up!) ---- I wouldn't recommend rectal medication for 'fun', but it's not as bad as it sounds.
In other news - I POAS again twice this morning.... 8 dp5dt and still BFP! I'm so excited!
