Fitz...That's really odd...I've never heard of such a thing. I dont think I even give blood work after the hcg shot...I just show up for ER. Did you trigger with hcg? Did the doc explain what happened? Sending lots of positive energy and prayers!

Maddening is the only word for it. I waited and waited and at 4:56 I called back. Apparently the lab misplaced (!?!?) my results. Lab is now closed, and my clinic is closed...I guess I am going to have to wait another night to know about my beta level...sigh.... :|

HI guys. New here, on my second day after transfer. First IVF, four previous iuis, one of which resulted in twins. Feeling bloated like I swallowed a watermelon and having trouble breathing. Better today than yesterday though. I am measuring my abdomen daily and keeping track of weight and other bodily functions.... PIO shots were tremendously horrid, until I warmed it in my hand first - prior I had been freezing my rear - and can you imagine trying to push cold oil?? Yikes! I was bruised and bumped up like crazy and running out of spots!! Not sure what to expect with this IVF thing, and am looking for support, advice, experience, whatever!!
hugs & babydust,
jenna

ps: I had 12 eggs, 3 were immature, 9 fertilized, 7 divided in lab, ended up with three embies for trf....
Me: 41 (yikes), PCOS, prenatal, baby asprin DH: 50 and normal
1998 daughter
2000 b/g twins, result of 2 iuis.
With DH: m/c twins 8/09
2 iuis, bfns.
1st IVF,ICSI & asstd hatch.
3 eggs trfd 8/1/10 (our anniversary!!)

Hi ladies. Sorry to be such a stranger but work is crazy. Takes me all day to read up on you ladies its so hard to keep up. I will do my best to make some quick personals but I know I'm going to miss so many of you. Sorry!

Ester- Thanks for checking on me I am alive in limbo land. As I work I am trying to send AF vibes your way.

Lou- HooRa! 10 eggs that is super awsome! I hope that you feel better soon remember to drink up on the gatoraid/smart water and get lots of rest.

Franny- Sneaky girl! I'm glad that you were smart to plan ahead with your new RE and that you will be starting soon. Hope you have fun on your Vaca. Where are you headed?

Annashope- I am so very sorry that they didnt find anything in your u/s. :( On the other hand I am glad that you will be starting another cycle right away and will be joining Chili, Franny, and myself in September. Do we have anyone else joining us around that time? Sorry cant remember!

Amanda- Congrats on your BFP! Try not to concentrate on the number but on sending PMA to your babies to burrow in and grow up strong.

Lauren1171- Keeping my fingers crossed that you have the most Sober time in Bermuda. How awsome of a place to take a cruise!

Tiger- Fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed for your IUI tomorrow. Well ...my legs not your's of course.

Cakes- Wow you did awsome too with your ER and fert. report. Congrats! I think your DH is cute for thinking they would put them all back in.

Sher- Hope you are riding Cloud 9 in BFP land!

Margi- I'm sorry your clinic is making you wait for such important results. Hope they call soon

Tammy- Never had the EWCM but I wouldn't worry. Like Es said its probably just the drugs and your follies growing like they should.

Kbillsy- So glad that ER went well for you. Do you plan to transfer both of your embies? Would you be happy with twins? My DH and I plan to transfer two again if they make it and we would be happy with twins but its still kind of scary.

Lauren319- Praying that you get lots of eggs that are perfect. Try to hang in there your ER is almost here.

Karin- I hope your house is amazing when you finally get to see it. I'm glad your DH has good taste as I would NEVER let my DH pick a house on his own. He'd be happy living in anything the resembled a gym.

Fitz- I'm so sorry hun is he checking the BW to see if there is enough trigger shot in your system? I'm sending you all the hope and prayers I can that everything will work out.

Chili- Glad you are getting such good advice from you acupuncturist. Mine hasn't mentioned staying away from any foods. I hope your tea and diet are just what you need. Here's to waiting for September.

Ashley- I am glad that things are right on track and you got to start your patches. Thanks for the PM and helping to keep me sane. I hope you had fun with the family and got some time in with your DH. I'll send you a PM soon (I hope) when things calm down here at work.

AFM- Oh I feel like I am forgetting people and I am sooo sorry if I am. I do read and root for everyone everyday, so please dont think that I have abandoned you all. I dont have much going on other then starting my THIRD pack of BCP on Thursday. Lou thank you for the suggestion on switching BP meds. I still have to call and ask my PCP about that. Other then that ladies I'm just waiting, waiting in the land of limbo. I know that the 17th isnt too far now and I'll be starting Lupron then.

Teresa...Good to hear from you. It wont be much longer now for you! How come you are on your third pack of birth control?

Jenna...Hi and Welcome! Congrats on being PUPO! Sounds like you had a terrific ER and ET. When do you go for your beta? If your symptoms get worse be sure to tell your doctor...I take it you are watching for OHSS...since you are keeping track of everything. Tell me about your twins.

Jenna- Congrats on you being finished with your first IVF. My RE was concerned with me getting OHSS after my first cycle too and told me to drink lots of electrolytes (found in gatoraid and smart water) and to eat lots of salty foods. I hope you start to feel better soon. When is your beta?

Tammy- I am on my third pack of BCP so that they could control my cycles until my RE could get me in for my next IVF. Apparently he is very popular/busy and they couldnt get me booked any sooner! :( Actually I have a question for all you ladies. My RE is having me skip the placebos from my second pack and start my third packs active pills right away. Does this mean I will not get AF? Dont they usually do a u/s on day 3 after AF starts as a baseline? I dont think I have any apointments scheduled with them until I start Lupron on the 17th. Does that seem weird to you all?

Franny - I almost had a heart attack when you said you were going on vacation for 2 weeks! i was thinking, how can I go through this without franny. I calmed down when I read you were bringing your laptop. Thank goodness! Have just the best time ever and suck down lots of beverages for me! Are you bringing Piper?

Hi ladies,

Just woke from the longest nap ever....lol. I'm blaming the pain killers! I'm still hurting pretty bad but I really wanted to get some personals in. You all had quite the type fest while I was asleep!

Chili -- Thanks for the follie dancing! I think it worked. I got 10!!!! I am very interested in your tea. Fill me in when you have a chance. The acupuncture location I used last cycle sold teas as well. Where do you go? I went to Pulling Down the Moon.

Margi -- I'm so sorry you didn't get your beta answer today. That is awful. They must know you were already nervous about it and then to misplace it and not even call you?!?! They definitely owe you something for this mistake!

Sher -- WOW!!! You WERE having the good kind of spotting. I hope you get a great beta number... is it tomorrow? Congrats!

Kim -- So sweet of you to think of me. ER went pretty well. We are optimistic. :D How have you been feeling? Do you have all the pregnancy symptoms?

Lauren1171 -- Holy follies Batman!!! 17 is AMAZING! That's great. Awesome E2 number. Each mature follie puts out 150-200, so you will have a bunch for sure! And your cruise to Bermuda sounds awesome!

Claudia -- Haha... thanks for stalking me! You are so sweet. 10 Claudia.... do you believe it? Gosh I hope they're all good ones!

Tiger -- I am sending you over a heaping pile of luck and baby dust for your IUI. I'm glad we will be in the 2ww together. We both are worry warts and will need to keep one another out of crazy town.

kbillsy -- 2 fertilized means you get to transfer and have TWO chances at becoming pregnant. Quick story... my RE and his wife had twins via IVF two years ago. She only had TWO embryos and they transferred both and both took. Proof anything is possible.

Es -- Seriously? Still no AF? @#$*#!!! Glad you aren't stressing too much because that can delay it as well. Hope she comes so you can get going on your BFP cycle! What dance does she want? I guess it's time for me to break out the old college Pom Pon routine...lol. I'll have to check out your blog later as well. Thanks for posting the link.

cakes -- hahahaha.... sooooo funny that your DH thought all would go back in. You could out do Octomom and maybe even have your own TV show!!!! But 10 fert is AWESOME!!!! I have a very good feeling for you this cycle.

Tammy -- Bahhhhahahaha.... "outcome". Hilarious! I did talk to RE for you. I'll PM you the specifics. Basically, he thinks you're on the right track. :D Also, I did have the egg white CM as well. Mostly the two days before ER. What is your LH level? RE should be watching it closely. As long as it doesn't rise, you won't ovulate. My ovaries twinged on and off throughout the whole stim process too. It's the follies growing!

Lauren319 -- I'm feeling better, the vicodin helps  . Yes, I also believe ICSI is the way to go for us. I just hope they pick good ones!

Franny -- Where are you going on vacation for two weeks? That sounds awesome. I'm so glad you are going to get away. I'm also glad you'll have your laptop with you...lol. I'd miss you too much if you weren't here for two weeks! I love your sneaky cycle story too. Sounds like something I would do as well.

fitzjr -- I'm confused about your bw after trigger shot. What are they looking for? I've never had that done. I just give 10,000 units of HCG and go to the clinic 34 hrs later. :? Whatever the case, I hope you get better news tomorrow so you can continue.

Jenna -- Welcome! I know... PIO shots stink! I put ice on my injection site for about a minute before the shot. It numbs it and it doesn't hurt as well. I just had ER today so in a few days I'll be joining you in the 2ww. Good luck!

Teresa -- Thanks for reminding me about the Gatorade! I'll have a glass right now. And you're welcome. Let me know what your PCP says too.

AFM -- Feeling a bit better after a looong nap. It's one worry after another with this.... now I get to think about what my fert report will be. I really hope there's some good ones. I've never had a 5 day fresh transfer before, maybe I will this time if all looks good. RE asked me how many I want to transfer. I said 3 if they're cleavage stage (day 3) or 2 blasts (day 5). He said that is what he recommended for me anyway. He said he wouldn't ever transfer more than two good blasts but might do 3 if the quality is so-so. OK... time to get out of bed and think about dinner. DH dumped me off at home and went into work. He is working 1pm-9pm today and will be home in about two hours. I DVR'd Shark Week, so I'm gonna watch that tonight. I loooove large ocean animals, especially sharks and whales. We are huge scuba divers, well, we were before IVF anyway. We've been cage diving with Great Whites off the coast of South Africa. I'll have to dig out a pic if I can find one. :D

Oh, and to those of you who enjoyed my story about my evening with 7 year old Sidney.... here is the pic I took of her with my dog Roxy. We had a blast! I'm pretty sure it was all because of my dog though....lol.

Aw Lou - that's a great picture! What kind of dog is he? I have a little Chihuahua who is my baby! He sleeps under the covers with us every night. My friend has 3 Boxers that she is obsessed with. She had a baby last week and she said that I may think I love my dog and he is my baby, but just wait til I have a baby! She knows all about my IVF.
