ohhhhhhh Katie!!!! Congrats! I'm hoping and praying your numbers will skyrocket!!! That's great if the HPT line was really dark!!!

Good luck tomorrow Mrs IVF!!! Sticky vibes to you!!

I'm back on the wagon ladies! AF showed up on Wed, went in for baseline b/w & u/s today. Protocol is different this time than last back in late '07. I started - and get this irony - birth control pills today...anyone else have to do that?! Lupron on 8/10, AF maybe mid month w/ more baseline testing, then Gonal F like last time...but also Menopur which is also different from the last go 'round...and how can I forget, the not so lovely Crinone yet again. All for a good cause!

Hi Ladies
Gosh lots happening - will try and keep up!!

Katie - Yahoo!! That is a great great sign. So happy for you and will keep everything crossed for you until your beta - when do you have your bloods? Yes I could have been around in 2008 - this is my fourth cycle - or eighth attempt all up with the FET's too. Whats that about "err super lucky number 8" or something. I don't know - JUST MAKE THIS ONE WORK PLLLEEAAASSSEEE!

Mrs IVF - yes someone or something out there is screwing with a whole bunch of us. It really takes the strength to go through what your going through and to work through the extra difficulties on top of all of this - so wishing you heart and courage through the last hurdle with these extra challenges that are being thrown at you.

Nelisiwe - 16 eggs - thats fanstastic! Keep us posted on progress. Is this your first cycle?

Cakes - 14 follies. Wow thats great too. I must be on the thread with the crazy egg hatching gang - hope this bodes well for me! I forget how horrible the anticipation of each stage is. How crushing it will be if there aren't hundreds of follies all at a perfect size when I have the US this week - err if I get to the US this week!

Hi Amaut - it's positive that your frozen embyos made it to a good blast stage - I'd be super hopeful about that! My clinic here definately rates the five days over 3 days - though I've rarely had embryos get through to the later stage. You didn't do anything wrong! And you never know - I know so many people that have had good luck with the FET after expecting a success with the Fresh. Don't give up hope :)

Hey Heidi - welcome. So thats next week for us. Eeek!!! I still haven't told work I need any time off. Also I travel with work - and my manager is getting antsy about booking trips over to Europe in the next few months - which by my calculation is no way happening if I get pregnant - but what do I do? I keep hoping I can speed this whole process up somehow! I started shots last Wednesday too. But lots more fat this time around . . . so they hurt less! Tomorrow have bloods to check the hormones are going crazy and off the charts as intended and then I guess a US this week. Do you know when your having yours?

Soccer mom - glad that this your able to get back on the wagon so soon! There aren't many months when seeing AF brings any iota of joy - so revel in this one!! Good luck with the next round!

Krissy - where are you in your cycle?

Sorry for long waffle - poor attempt to check in and try and catch up/know everyone on the thread. sorry if I forgot anyone!

Hi to everyone,

Melo, thanks for your support! I really need it. I am positive about the new IVF cycle and all it´s just that I don´t want to get my hopes up too much but I neither want to be too negative about it......... I guess everyone has similar feelings, right?

Right now still taking the lupron which I must say it´s a lot easier than the shots I took for the fresh cycle as the dosis is so small! Let´s see what they tell me on the 10th!

Hello, Ladies
iIam just joining the tread and want to say ”Hello!” to all of you July cycle buddies!
Congratulations to all with the good news-nelisiwe what a good result-14 fertilised eggs is brilliant!
And Melo P-good luck on your 8 time-hope it is works. BTW-I also live in Wellington-may be we have crossed paths at the FA if you are with them? It is difficult to plan time off work-almost impossible...And whatever you tell them it is not going to go down very well. I thought about explaining things to my manager too beforehand ( my job does not require travelling though ) but decided against it-spare my self some unpleasant vibes coming towards me...at the end of the day if we need the time off-we have to have it! We will be able to plan better when we get pregnant.. :D
I am at the waiting stage at the moment-had a fresh transfer last week-waiting for the test in 2 days. Not easy...
Good luck to all!!!

Hey Macsi Good luck with your beta. Mine is also in 2 days so baby dust for both of us. How are the OHSS ladies feeling? Take it easy it is a long two weeks. Macsi did you do a HPT. I did and it was good news but I am not over excited until I know my numbers and see them double. Take care! Good luck to all the up coming transfers as well!!

I've been having cramps but I have been taking tylenol every 4 hours to make myself do better. I feel a little worried and I want to cry b/c I dealt w/mild OHSS and I know once HCG is in your system it's supposed to flare up again. Well, I have no symptoms and I'm feeling fine except for the slight cramps so that means no HCG...no pregnancy...this sucks today...I'm just in a down mood

Nelis@I've heard different answers since I came to the boards but in my experience it was easy...it was a little weird my legs being in stirrups but outside of the piece of pie. It's like going to the gyn for a pap smear. That was how it felt in my opinion.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow but dreading it at the same time. Tomorrow I'm allowing myself to POAS for the first time. I was really crampy yesterday but it didn't seem any different from the cramps I've been getting from the progesterone. So, I'm just not sure...I've had no implantation bleeding. I've had no symptoms of OHSS again...I feel as if there is no way I can be pregnant b/c I show no signs. I'm trying to remain positive b/c I'm only 4dp5dt but I'm feeling rather down right now

My girls are taking my on a movie day so that should make the time move a little faster and keep my mind off of things...well, I hope to catch up w/everyone later. Loads of baby dust to you

MRS IVF Please get this before your POAS at 4or 5dpt. THAT is WAY to early. You should wait until 7 or day 8. Here is the activity on a 5 day transfer. All POAS will do at this point is make your feel worse b/c it will be neg. At this point it has not even finished implanting. Also I did not have one drop of blood this time or during my fresh cycle. Its normal to feel "normal" don't give up all hope. The only thing I noticed is I am really thirsty both this time and during my fresh cycle. see the chart for a 5dt.

**this is what happens in a 5dt :
-1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst (transfer day)
1dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt.. Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt.. Morula is completely implanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
6dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT
