Lou - Awesome news!! With that great count, there will be a good fert report tomorrow! Can't wait to hear how things go for the next few days. I am crossing my fingers for lots of blasts!! I'm Polish and German actually, but when I have a brain fart I blame the Pollish side. lol

Pa - They do say stretch marks are hereditary, though I disagree. If that were the case, then why is every celeb who's ever had a baby not gotten stretch marks? lol I say cocoa butter! Just keep using it till the day you deliver! A growing baby isn't the only thing that causes stretch marks, when the baby drops into position and all that weight pulls down, you can stretch then. That is what happened to me. I stopped at 8 months last time, bad choice! I was doing great till the baby dropped. My stretch marks are way better than they would have been had I not used cocoa butter lotion. They are very thin and match my skin tone. Good luck at your scan tomorow. I am hoping that the cyst is gone as well! Lets stay positive! :)

Hazel - Welcome back from your get away! Glad you had a great time, I am so jealous that you have access to all that history and beauty around you. Someday I would love to take a tour of Europe. I am big on European history, so I would have to hit London for at least a week to see all I want to see there. lol 35 weeks! WOW, just 5 weeks or less. It's so amazing to think that one of these days you will disapear and come back a few days later telling us about the whole labor, delivery and of course ALL about little Zorba... name, weight, length, boy or girl! lol I am so excited! Here they tell us to have a bag packed and ready when you hit 7 months preggers. Of course they suggest we be prepared in case of an emergency. No one wants to go into labor and have to stop and say, "Wait, I have to pack!" I probably should have mine done now since twins come earlier, but I will be getting to that here soon. I am just 2 days from the "official" 3rd trimester. lol The shower... the kid situation is a lot like the bbq because one of the kids was the same kid. lol I told Andrew that the next time we have a party of any kind, we are getting a gate so no little kids can go upstairs. I would never allow my kid to go up stairs anywhere without me. Not sure how people are ok with just letting their little kids (2 and under) go anywhere out of their sight. As far as your dad, that is the decision I would make too if it were me. I knew that about myself after seeing how my mom was effected. No matter what the doctors and professionals say though.. listen to your dad! We know our bodies better than any doctor. So even though they give him a year or so... if he tells you to come home in 3 months because he has a feeling... trust it! My mom begged my brother to come home because she felt funny (he was in the Army then) but the doctors kept telling him she had 6 months left and was doing fine. He trusted the doctors. 2 weeks later when he was just leaving to come visit, she passed away and he didn't get the chance to say goodbye. I know that isn't the best thing to hear, but it might be good advice someday. So just trust dad! :)

Claudia - I am going to stick to my gut and say Flick is a boy. I am normally really good at being right. lol So far everyone on this thread I have guessed correctly. So we shall see if my intuition is right for you. :) There is no such thing as carrying like a girl o a boy anyway. Those old wive's tales have been busted for years, though they can make it fun to guess. I was told before (not this pg) that I looked like I was carrying a boy and had a girl. I must be doing pretty decent on how I am carrying this time because no one has even guessed twins. I look further along, but not too big spite the babies both always measuring a week or so ahead. :) I did only gain 5 pounds, maybe that helps to not looking so big? lol As far as the shower, you said you wanted to join the thread registry but have yet to do so. Let me know if you are still interested. :) I know it is suppose to be bad luck or something in the Jewish faith to do something like that, so I guess it depends on how supersticious you are. lol You can always do it for after Flick is born and we can send you things then?

Angela - I wouldn't be surprised if Gabriella is bigger than Ashley. She is a healthy baby girl after all! :) You are now to the point where you will start to experience things in your pregnancy that you didn't have the chance to before. Don't worry, all the pain and discomfort is normal! lol Just make sure contractions and spotting aren't included. Though once you start having BH contractions I am sure you will be a little nervous. I can't wait till your anatomy scan. Would be nice to know the final verdict on gender and how much she is weighing. Have you tried out your new doppler by now? I let one of my pregnant friends keep mine. I don't need it anymore with all the obvious movement from both babies now. One day you will be that confident too! :)

Gi - Oh my are you a busy girl with so many weddings! Reminds me of that one movie.. minus the funeral of course! Hopefully the other weddings will have better chairs! lol You will need it! I have noticed that no matter what position I am in now, it hurts. Back pain is every day now. Fun fun! Hopefully Jason will give you some good rub-a-dubs when you get to that stage. Andrew doesn't, rather he wants me to rub his back! lol I know he has osteo arthritis and buldging discs, but sometimes I think he is a little selfish. I hope he is more helpful after the twins are here! lol

AFM - Not much left to do to prepare for Ethan and Angelina now. Just have to wait on my dad's wife for the rest of the nursery furniture and a few small items. It's a good thing too since back to school shopping for Alex has been put off for the most part. I have gotten her a few things, but not enough. This next paycheck has to go towards that. This is also the first year I will have to buy bras with her school clothes. *sigh* She is 11 and hit a cup size already. Where does the time go? As far as Andew, he has been on meds now for a week and ups his dosage to 100mg of Zoloft today. I have never heard of anyone having to have a dose that high, but his doc said it's what they do for PTSD so ok. It has had an effect thus far. He has calmed down and hasn't gotten a temper spite the news of a deployment coming and the stress of being broke as broke can be lately. lol So YAY fo meds! I am curious to see how the higher dose will effect him. He is putting leave in today for the 23d though the 3rd so lets see if that will get approved. Like I said, we gave up fighting for his promised free time off. He couldn't even get as much as Friday off when he was told he could. So leave it is and that will be a nice break. Then just a few weeks later the twins will be here and he can take the bulk of his leave then. He is thinking they won't approve more than a month so he will have to go back to work and request leave again. He will try to put in for two months though and see what happens.

PS. I have been having issues with my keyboard lately, T's and R's I have to practically punch to make it type out, so if you notice letters missing that I over looked, chances are this is what happened. lol

Well, I am horrible at keeping up! Even my good intentions can't help me now. We have been so busy lately with our work schedules, family get togethers and friends wanting to get together before baby gets here it seems we never have a moment. I did have my shower Saturday. It was the perfect time to have it because I'm not HUGE yet so I still look like me and I was pretty comfortable physically. We got lots of gifts, very humbling to receive so many things especially when I know how much each one cost! Someone has already offered to buy our pack n play and I am going to return some duplicated items to get our swing. That only leaves my breast pump and lots of little things (crib sheets, mattress pads & covers, changing table pad, more diapers, etc.) We have been working on the nursery little by little for the past several months and we finished it up last night for the most part. We still have have to figure out the book shelf organization and some other minor things. We are not much into 'baby-ish' stuff (sorry if that's offensive to those of you who are) so we went with a look somewhat different.

Oh, the BH are killing me! Good thing is, at last check, my cervix was still closed up. Someone asked how to tell if you're having tham. To me, it just feels like a tightening or hardening of my stomach. Initially I thought it was her balling up, but learned quickly it was BH. It is not painful, just annoying and it gives me a strange sensation in the back of my throat, kinda like I got the wind knocked out of me but it's very muted. I don't know how else to describe it! LOL! Also, you'll know the difference between the real thing and BH because the real thing is said to feel more like menstrual cramps and it is very painful. Well, this is all coming from my Dr and his nurse, so take it for what it's worth to you. Speaking of, I have an appt tomorrow for a routine OB and sono to check weight. I can't wait to see her cute little face! After this I have 2 more two week appts and then we start into the weekly appts. How did we get here? This is still so unreal to me.

I'm so glad to hear you are all doing well. Please forgive me for not doing personals...I'm terrible, I know. I do think about each of you often and love to see that everyone is doing well.

A quickie update from me. We're just back from the hospital - Michelin Baby currently weighs almost 7lbs already at 35wks1day and so is still on course to be 10lbs by full term. So much for hoping that the growth had slowed down a bit - he/she has put on 2.5 pounds in 4 weeks! There are no decisions yet on whether they are going to induce me early, and if so when - I have another scan at 38wks on 25th August and we'll take it from there.

hjw- OUCH 10lbs.... slow down baby!!!!!! :)

Angela- Arguments suck. I'm so sorry DH (darned husband this time???) got you so upset. Boy sucks sometimes! We love you honey!

AFM------- I was at the perinatal center for over 2 hrs. I LOVE THAT PLACE!!!!!! I want to move in and look at the baby everyday! The Dr who talked to us was wonderful!!!!!!!! He said he did not see any kind of a cyst at all. He does want to see me monthly at the perinatal center because we did IVM. Hmmmm more chanced to see my little jumper? OK! :P My little guy/girl was jumping all over today! Like really bouncing away! DH was in AWE. We got to hear the HB for the first time. I cried. It was the most beautiful sound. After the u/s tech was done the Dr came in to talk to us about the scans. He said they were absolutely perfect. They saw 4 chambers in the heart, a great umbilical cord flow, perfect brain forming and all of the insides are in place and in the right spot. They saw the nasal bone and said there was nothing to worry about at the back of the neck. He said it was all very normal and there were no markers he could see. I am over the moon happy. I keep crying because I was so scared and now I feel so much better. I so have to start sticking my finger for diabetes 4x a day. Only because I have PCOS and am taking metformin. They just want to keep an eye on me. So far so good though. SO....I just wanted to share that with you wonderful ladies. Love you all for your support. XOXO
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Hey girls,

Hazel wow 7lbs already!!!!! Your baby is gonna have such cute chubby cheeks

PA ah your post made me smile it is amazing isnt it hearing the hb for 1st time and seeing your little baby wriggling around, wait till you feel it move now that will bring a tear to your eye!! I am using baby oil for stretch marks it says to use it on wet skin as it locks in more moisturiser, my sis didnt get stretch marks till 39 wks she was disgusted thought she dodged them!!

Riley baby oh i just love your nursery so classy and cute at the same time, you have such great taste i dont really have much imagination. So you are now in single digits for wks left how great is that!!!!

Angela i am afraid i cant turn down any of my wedding invitations as they are all close family/friends but i will only stay until i start feeling uncomfortable (which i am assuming will be straight away at 30 wks!!) uggh the thoughts of them esp when i will be the only sober one and not dancing as we are staying overnight i am thinking i will nip out early!!!

Babyluv your little one is going to be thrilled with her room! Have you started on the nursery yet? Oh and i weighed myself yesterday up another 3lbs, i am heading towards 10 stone mark and still 15 wks to go!

Lou sounds like you got some great embies and hopefullly they will all fertilize now go get yourself that BFP and come back over to us we miss u xxx

AFM my furniture will be arriving next tues anytime between 7:30 am to 6pm you would think they would narrow down the time but sure its not as if i am going anywhere!! I have 2 dresses for the weddings one my sis had which is grand, and i bought a pink and purple one but i am going to return it as i really dont think it will fit in 5 wks time i can get a full refund so its fine, i saw a simple plain fitted just above the knee black maternity dress today and my bump looks gorgous in it plus it emphasis my other curves so i am thinking of getting that (it was also soooo comfortable) and dressing it up with some red heels and accesories, ah i dont really care what i look like as long as i find a comfortable seat

Babyluv – I really like the Doppler for the price. I can’t wait to hear how the pedicure goes w/ your daughter.

Claudia – I hope that you feel better; head colds are horrible during the summer. It could also be the increased progesterone also that is making you feel so congested because it increases as your pregnancy progresses. The running stroller does sound very nice. There are a lot of parents who use those in my neighborhood.

I say get the foot massager if it is going to make you feel better.

Natasha – I love the idea that your mom came up with for your sister. Leave it to mom’s to come up with good ideas … lol. Pretty soon that will be your job as your baby’s mother!!

I hope that your migraines get better. I have been having horrible migraines also. Sometimes the Tylenol helps and sometimes it doesn’t. Yes, my DH finally apologized and understands why I became so upset. He can be so bullheaded sometimes, which is strange because normally he is wonderful. Oh well, I guess he is entitled to an off day every once and awhile!

PA_FA – I hope your 12 weeks perinatal scan went well. I am sure that the cyst is almost gone or completely gone by now. I am praying for you! Thanks for the support … my DH came back and apologized, which he should have because he was in the wrong. Men can be so bullheaded sometimes. I think the pregnancy hormones made it worse for me though. Oh, well time to move on now. Oh, I just read your next post and I am absolutely thrilled about your appointment! I am sure every appointment will be smooth sailing for you and your baby.

The stretch mark cream that I use is the Palmers cocoa butter lotion for pregnancy. But, Hazel is right, if you are prone to get stretch marks you will get them no matter what cream you use. They say your mother will be a good indicator. But, the cream definitely helps with the soreness of the stretching of the skin.

Hazel – I can’t believe that you are already 35 weeks! I am so jealous … lol. I can’t wait to hear about the upcoming weeks. Well, it sounds like your baby will be a nice and healthy baby. So, they think 10lbs by the time you deliver. I think I will have a large baby too. I guess I will have to wait and see.

Lou – that is so exciting that you got 10 eggs! I am sure you got a good fertility report today!

Stephanie - It funny that you mentioned Braxton Hicks because they started today and it was relieved by me lying down this afternoon, which makes me happy. But, you are right they are a little scary! Oh, I hope that the furniture arrives soon so it will complete your room.

I can’t believe it is almost school time again. I am glad that Andrew is responding well to the Zoloft! I am hoping the leave is approved so you have some time before the babies arrive.

Riley baby maybe – I love the nursery. The colors blend together very well! Thanks for sharing the pictures as it gives everyone some good ideas.

Gi – I understand about not wanting to disappoint them regarding the weddings but just make sure you take care of yourself.

Bei – I sure hope your morning sickness gets better! If you still aren’t able to hold water down, I would call your physician because you don’t want to dehydrate yourself. They can prescribe something to help w/ your nausea. My manager had it so bad with this last pregnancy that she was hospitalized for dehydration twice but they finally prescribed her Zofran and Reglan, which helped her out a lot!

AFM – Well, I finally got my Doppler yesterday and I found Gabriella’s heartbeat pretty quickly. But, she kept moving so much that I lost it just as soon as I found it … lol! Now, the next step is the anatomy scan on Monday and we are crossing everything that it will be smooth sailing and uneventful!

Angela - Hope you are feeling better today and things are smoothed over. :) So you got your doppler!! That's the thing with getting a doppler this far along in pg, the babies at this point are really active and move so much. I ended up not being able to find a heartbeat much so I would just listen to the sound of them moving around. lol Don't worry about the scan, it will be perfect!

Gi - Great news abou the nursery stuff coming soon! Hopfully it comes at a decent time. Again, good luck with those seats at the weddings. I am sure you will look gorgeous with your beautiful baby bump! Just try to stay comfortable! :)

Pa - Great news about no cyst and no abnormalities!! Thinking positive really works!! lol That's so sweet how emotional you and DH got. It is a miracle to see and here your little baby inside of you isn't it? Glad there is no sign of gestational diabetes, I am sure you will dodge that one. Think positive... it works.

Hazel - Zorba really is packing on the pounds... wow! I wonder if you will make it to your next scan... Maybe baby will decide that for you? ;)

Natasha - Don't worry about rolling over on your belly. It won't hurt your baby since there is plenty of room in there still and lots of cushion. There are times where I can lay on my belly still if I am in the right position and if I haven't just ate. lol It gets uncomfortable quick being this big, but doesn't hurt the babies. Hope your mirgaine goes away!!

Riley - The decore looks great! I love pink with dark colors like black or even brown! You did a great job! I wish I had the talent to make stuff. I am just not crafty at all. lol Glad you had a wonderful shower! Sounds like you and me have the same things to get, the breast pump and little odds and ends. Well, I am still waiting for family to buy the other crib and dresser/changer, but other than that... all little stuff. I hope the scan went well... can't wait to hear how it went and how much little Reagan is weighing! :)

Hi everyone -

I didnt go MIA - I've spent the past 2 days fighting off food poisoning - blech!!!!
I insisted Chris bring me a falafel on Monday and while it was yummy, I feel like I've been knocking on Death's door since the middle of the night on monday.
OMG like food poisoning is awful when you're not pregnant, but at 7 months? No one should suffer like this- ugh! I've spent the past 2 days lurching from the bed to the bathroom, every half hour, and I wont even mention what was going on, I'll just say intense cramps immediately follwed by liquid pain - ewww!
By yesterday I was too weak to even take Gracie out to pee, I felt like if I stayed upright I would pass out, so thankfully Chris had a short day & was home by dinner time, but then he felt the need to keep reminding me that if I feel this awful surely Savannah does too - ummm, how does that help? She was moving around, but less than normal, I kept sipping water and forced myself to eat some toast, but I never want to see another falafel EVER! It figures, I havent had one in years and as soon as I eat one, this happens, right? So I woke up today feeling normal, but still hot & tired, and dont forget gross since I havent showered, changed my clothes, or washed my hair since this started on monday! - eww. I havent gooten caught on on your posts, but will this afternoon after I'm clean again, i cant wait! I'm hoping that I get a little more energy first because I dont want to be stuck in the shower home alone and start feeling weak again, so I'll give it a little while. I'll do personals and catch up later - even in my haze- I missed you guys so much - xoxoxo

Katie - OMgoodness, that sounds absolutely HORRID!! I am so, so sorry. I hope you feel better soon! And I'm sure Savannah is handling it just fine. Just think about how much those babies deal with during morning sickness.

Angela - So glad you got your doppler and feel better! Hopefully you can start to breathe once you get to 22 weeks...every week I get a little more confident, then I think, "I really need to make it another x number of weeks."

PA - LOVED your post!! What absolutely WONDERFUL news!!!!

Hazel - Oh wow, a nice big baby! Zorba will be sleeping through the night in no time.

Natasha - I was tickling DD and she accidentally kicked me in the stomach yesterday. I was a little nervous waiting to feel the babies kick again, so I know how you feel. Like the others said, you're LO is fine...but I know it's hard not to worry!

Riely - The room looks fabulous! My nurseries have never been very baby...more big kid, so I know how you feel. Love what you've done with it.

Claudia - Feel better!

Steph - How are the BH? I feel like I had a lot yesterday, even when laying down. It's getting a little harder to distinguish between an actual BH and the babies just rolling around for me.

AFM - We are back from our little beach getaway and had a GREAT time! We went to Hammock Dunes in Palm Coast, FL (about a 1 1/2 hour drive from us). The resort was fab. Right on the beach, lots of pools, lazy river, huge water slide for the kids...perfect family getaway, especially with kids that are old enough to swim. Alex has never been a huge fan of the ocean, but after one day he was loving it. Darren even taught him how to boogie board! So proud. They have GORGEOUS golf courses there, but Darren didn't get a chance to play because we were so limited on time. We had a fabulous three bedroom condo, so I think next time we are going to stay for at least 4 nights.

Scarlett's bedding also came in! Yay! It looks so cute. I have a few more finishing touches and then her room will be done. Then I just have to make a few alterations to her old room (change out some pictures, turn toddler bed back into a crib, etc) and the nursery will be done. That is one nice thing about having two more girls so close to Scarlett's age...I only had to do one room!
