Tammy - Hey hun! Glad to see you stopping by. I am sure you know there are a couple of us stalking you and Lou over on the other thread. I stalk Lauren too since we are old cycle buddies. YAY for trigger and ER tomorrow! I can't wait to see how many you get!

Lou - If you are reading this... hoping for a 5 day transfer!

Babyluv - The BH are fine as long as I don't do much AT ALL! lol Walking or even standing up too long seems to be triggering them. So as long as I sit on my arse all day, I don't have as many. I know what you mean about not knowing if it's the babies moving or BH. Sometimes they can push so hard against my belly that I have to feel around my whole belly to make sure if it's them or BH. If it's hard everywhere, it's a contraction, if it's just one spot, it's a baby. lol Glad you had a great time with the family! And YAY for Scarlett's bedding! Everything is falling into place just fine. :)

Gi - How are you feeling? Kayla bhaving her little self? :)

Katie - I feel for you, I really do. Food poisening 2 months ago was bad, but even farther along, ouch! I didn't like all those trips in the middle of the night to the bathroom either, but if I had that now I am not sure I would make it. It's getting harder just to roll my arse out of bed. lol If I had to do it in a hurry there might be issues. Glad you are feeling better today enough to let us know how you are. Go wash your arse and feel pretty then come back and let us know how you are. Hopefully better! ;)

Natasha - I know what you mean, I didn't have much of an issue sleeping on my belly as long as I could when I had Alex 11 years ago, but now with this pg I found myself trying to be so careful because of how hard it was to get pg this time. I normally sleep on my stomach, it's what's more comfortable for me, always has been. Now I can't sleep on my belly at all even if I wan't too because of size. I can lay on it from time to time, but can't sleep that way. That was my first obsticle in sleeping at night, now all the uncomfortable joys of being this big is causing sleeping issues as well as my nose always being stuffy when I lay down. Oh yes, gotta love it. :)

Well, hello ladies! Hope everyone is well. I'm so glad today is FRIDAY!! Now I get a weekend to spend with DH! :D

Gi - Have fun with the weddings! I love going to them. Nothing beats love & free food!! Just a few more days now until Kayla's furniture gets here.

Angela - GL with your scan on Monday. I loved our big anatomy scan; it was so reassuring for me.

Steph - I hate relying on others to do things for me. It never works right...darn her for not having them to you already!

Katie - I hope you're feeling better!!

Babyluv - I did want something she could grow into for at least a few years as far as decorations. I'm glad your vaca was fun!

HJW - I can't believe Zorba is already 7 lbs! An early delivery wouldn't be such a horrible thing.

Bei - Hi, of course I remember you! Congrats to you!!! This is also my first baby, so I'll give you the quick rundown on our nursery. Keep in mind that I am the tightest penny pincher in the whole world! All of our furniture came from Walmart.com on sale except for the little tables. They came from Kirklands clearance as did the 3 pictures above her bed and Eiffel tower hanging. The dress form and hanging behind the glider are from Hobby Lobby sale. The mirror and bookshelf we have had forever and they happened to match. My mom and I made the bumper pads, bedskirt & curtains. So, a very inexpensive nursesry for our miracle baby!

AFM - Well, baby Reagan weighs in at 4 lbs 1 oz. She's on track to be 8-9 lbs if we go full term. I've had contractions for so long that I'll be shocked if I go full term, but I really want to! DH & I met in October, became a couple the next October, love Halloween, fall and everything that comes with it!! But, if we end up with a September baby I won't complain either!!! Thank you all for the kind words about our nursery.
Me - 32 - no issues
DH - 36 - low count

Stephanie – you are so right about the Doppler; I just hope when I am trying to listen to her HB that she is resting so I can catch her … lol!

Natasha – It is so exciting to think that all of our babies will be here soon! I am so very anxious too!

Katie – OMG, I am so sorry that you have been so sick lately. I certainly hope you feel better soon and can stay hydrated.

Gi – thanks for the reassurance and well wishes for my anatomy scan on Monday. I hope you are doing well!

Babyluv – Your vacation made me even more excited when it is time for our vacation in a few weeks! I can’t wait until next year when we are able to travel to those fabulous places like we have always done. This year I think we will go to Canada since I am unable to fly and driving too far is also out of the question. So we will see …

Tammy – It is great to hear from you and I hope you are officially back here in two weeks also!

Riley baby maybe – I am also glad it is Friday but I will have to wait to spend time with my DH as he is golfing with his colleagues. Yeah, for baby Reagan weighing 4 lbs already; she is well on her way to being in your arms soon! This is so exciting!

AFM – Just like Riley baby maybe stated I am thrilled it is finally Friday! These work weeks keep getting longer and longer because of this darn heat. I can’t wait until September as it should be cooler! On a good note, the pack-n-play I ordered came in yesterday. I was too tired to open the box last night so when my DH gets home from golfing, we will open it to make sure everything is there. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Hi everyone -

Whew! I'm feeling much better today, but boy am I tired! I'm not sure if its getting over food poisoning, the awful heat, or just normal for the 3rd trimester, but wow I could fall asleep at any minute. Speaking of sleep, I was woken up this morning by Savannah kicking up a storm and I was thinking maybe I was laying too much on my stomach? I usually sleep sort of half on my side and half on my stomach - so I kind of took all that kicking as "hey, you're taking up all my room in here, so move it lady" hee hee. I have to say that I'm getting a bit jealous that you all have been hearing your baby's weights, I've heard nothing so far but I do have an OB appt monday (no u/s though, ugh) but this is with a different OB so maybe I'll get more info than usual, I hope. i'm guessing that you all are getting the weight from a u/s? I'm now in week number 11 of no u/s for 14 weeks so I should have one by the end on this month - finally! For the love of! I havent had one since I was 18 weeks! Like how do they expect us to stay calm after not seeing the baby for so long? Good thing this one is a gymnast in training in there, or I'd be a nervous wreck by now.
I've been reading this baby book "baby 411" and I love it, its definitely written for those of us, like me, that feel clueless. See, I hadnt even remembered that I'll need an overnight bag  Now I just have to remember to actually pack one - haha. Anyway this book suggests that you should make an appt with the Peds Dr while you're still pregnant, a "prenantal peds appt" has anyone done this? i just picked one from my "in network" list off the insurance website. I have a funny feeling that my cheap insurance co wouldnt cover a peds appt that has no baby involved yet

Hazel - OMG! How did you get to 35 wks already? And Zorba is at 7 lbs? Oooh, slow down baby! Aw, honey it wont be much longer now, Zorba will be home and in your arms soon! Good thing your nursery is done and you can just relax for the rest of the time, right? I'm with you on the heart burn, it just never stops, oh well its all a part of it I suppose. And the same for the awful fatigue, its hard to keep up with just housecleaning, never mind taking on any new projects. It sounds like your dad is doing whats right for him and your mum. Its so difficult, I'm just sorry he has to make this decision at all, i'll keep him in my prayers. Thanks for explaining about the prostiglandins, I've been really, really lax about pregnancy research  I think I just dont want to have too much info since it will just give me even more to worry about. As long as they keep telling me my pregnancy is medically "boring" I'm a happy girl. So far so good. Is your DH starting to get a bit anxious yet? I'll bet he wants to know where you are every second! Just take it easy and realx as much as you can, soon to be Mum! much love - xoxo

Lou- Oooh, I love the pics of Roxy & Sidney!!! So adorable! 6 embies are great, since you've been quiet today, I'm wondering if you went to ET today? Or will it still be on Sunday? Either way I've got everything crossed for you girl and cannot wait til you're back over here where you belong! - xoxo

Tammy - Yippeee for a great number of eggs! I cant wait to hear your fert report tomorrow! get some rest honey - xoxo

Steph - How are your BH doing twin mama? I hope they are less than before? I swear I get nervous every time you or Babyluv say they're back again. I know they're normal, but still, you know? I'm so glad that Andrew's meds are helping him so quickly. It sounds like his Dr found the right dosage off the bat - so yay for that! I'm crossing everything that his leave gets approved, i think its really important that he gets a break! he's been going nonstop for too long now, he needs some time off before Ethan & Angelina make their arrivals, and your house gets turned upside down, just kidding, well it will, but i mean in a good way  And he better get time off when they do come home, you're going to need all the help and extra hands on board! I think Alex will be a great helper, aw she is really growing up fast, huh? Time for training bras? I remember how embarrassed I was when I went to get my first one, I was mortified at the lady measuring me, but it wasnt anything compared to the first day back at school when some idiot boy snapped my bra strap - I wanted to belt him  for calling attention to the whole bra situation. - xoxo

Riley - I love your nursery!! How talented you are to make your own bedding! I wish I could do things like that, you did an excellent job, it looks great!
Yipppeee for Reagan getting to be 4 lbs already! You're getting so close now! How are you feeling?

PA - FA - Oh, honey that was wonderful news!!! All that worrying for nothing, will it ever end? sigh. I feel the same way about the u/s i wish i could go every day too! OK, so 4 finger sticks per day, if it means a healthy baby then no big issue, right? Is your DH over the moon? I'll bet he is!

Gi - That black dress sounds just perfect and comfy too! I have to say the thought of wearing heels makes my feet hurt though. I cant wait til you get your furniture on tues! Now, I hope Jason feels the same way - haha, well thankfully we're not the ones who are stuck putting all the things together! Chris actually had no problems putting the furniture together, so maybe its not as difficult as we first thought? Ah, we want to see it all assembled and pretty, who are we kidding? as long as the husbands get it done, right?

Angela - Are you off playing with your new dopplar? hee hee. Yup, the heat here is just awful too, its so draining. i'm with you and cannot wait for the cooler weather, even not pregnant I'm not a fan of hot & humid at all. Enjoy opening your deliveries, I was opening them as they came in until Chris said to please wait for him -ooops, I forgot he's excited to play with the new "toys" also haha. You get some rest this weekend, you busy woman

Babyluv - Glad you had a fun time at the beach, even if it went too quick, ah, doesnt it always, though? Yay for super fast shipping! And getting the correct product too! I'll bet Scarlett is loving her new room! And now its nursery decorating time - fun!

Claudia - I hope you're feeling better, honey, ugh theres nothing worse than a cold in the summer to make you feel awful - poor girl - xoxo

hugs& prayers to us all - xoxo

Katie - Glad you are feeling better. I would be going nuts without an u/s this long too. I never had but one before when I was preggers, but that's the norm in a regular pregnancy. Not sure how I managed back then. lol Now of course the only reason I get so many is because of the twins. The OB doesn't want to fuss with a doppler and like to check the previa each visit. Then the peri, that's where I get all the cool information like the weight and how they are developing. I can't wait till Wednesday to see how much my twin chunky butts are now. I am curious if they have started to slow down in growth with the belly restriction or if they will still be a week or so ahead of schedule. I am hoping they are still ahead, that would make me feel more secure in an easrly delivery. Alex is growing up fast, she has had training bras for a year now, she has grown into a real cup size now. If it wasn't for her short stature, you could easily mistake her for being a teenager.

Angela - Glad the pack n play came in! Soon things will start to really flood in and you will be busy with the nursery. How exciting!

Riley - I am trying not to let the remaining furniture get to me. She said she would get on it last night, I see she hasn't. Hoping she gets it done today. If not, I will just grin and bear it. After all, she will get to it eventually and I don't "need" it right away even if the twins arrive earlier then 35 weeks. I just don't want to stress. :) Well, I am hoping for an October baby for you. The reasoning just kind of sounds magical in a way. The story to go with it would be sweet to tell over an over again.

HI All!

Good news for me!!!! Clinic called this morning and I was soooo nervous. If I was having a 3dt then that would mean I had less than 4 embryos left or they weren't doing well. Sooo.... she said I'm going until day 5!!!! Which is Sunday. I don't know what I have because she didn't have that info handy but I know I have at least 4 good ones!

Katie -- So glad you're feeling better. I missed you. XOXO

lou - GREAT NEWS!! I can't wait to hear your update on Sunday (or whenever you get around to it) and those awesome embies!

Katie - Glad you are feeling better. You're u/s is just in a few weeks! Yay! And how on EARTH can you sleep on your stomach? I took a picture on July 4th of Scarlett and forgot I was pregnant, so I got on my stomach. It hurt so much! No way could I lay on mine. I'm usually on my side.

Hi ladies!! Where has the time gone? Life has been so hectic lately-I have missed you all!

Lou-I am so excited it for you! It sounds like a very successful ER and I can't wait to hear great news at ET time. My thoughts and prayers are with you!!

Stephanie-It sounds like your shower went well after all the concerns you had before. It stinks that Andrew missed out on the gifts/cake and that there were crazy dads/kids but hopefully you enjoyed it. Are you having another shower? I'm so sorry Andrew is getting deployed again and the Colorado move isn't worked out yet but I will have my fingers crossed that it works out for the best

Claudia-I'm so glad you get a break from the heat with swimming over. I think we are all counting the days to cooler weather. It's so funny that everyone predicts a little girl for you-it will be an exciting surprise for everyone :)

Katie-You poor thing!! Food poisoning?! That is just cruel for a pg. lady. I have had severe heartburn/acid too. I have been eating the maximum dose of tums every night and still have acid burning my mouth and throat. It has really cut out my beauty sleep-hehe. I hope you are feeling much better

Gi-I am sure you look beautiful in all of your dresses! You have that preggo glow  Weddings aren't as much fun when you are pg. and have to sit in those chairs and skip the drinks.

Angela-I love that you are getting excited and have started all the planning/buying baby things. It is fun! Are you still going to the doc. often? Glad Gabriella is looking great and doing well.

Hazel-You are so close to the end, it will be here before you know it. I can't wait to hear how Zorba is doing at 38 weeks-I am praying that he/she is a good healthy size without being so big that makes delivery difficult for you. It sounds like you had a great holiday with DH-glad you're enjoying this time with him.

Riley-I love your nursery and that you did that all with your mom! It is precious and Reagan will love it for a long time to come-she can certainly enjoy it after the baby years as it isn't so "baby" in theme.

Natasha-You should definitely stick with your shower time as this is your first and it is a big deal. Your sister sounds like she does want equal attention but I'm sure she'll have a change of heart with time (hopefully). How are you feeling these days?

Bei-Bless you my dear. I can't imagine how awful you feel with the morning sickness right now and I hope it passes soon. Have you seen the triplets lately?

PA_FA-That is such great news! I am so glad that it was best outcome with the cyst and your baby's development. It stinks that you have to go through pin pricks 4 times a day but always better to be safe.

Emerald-Moving is no fun but I hope you are enjoying your new place! How are you feeling?

Tammy-I'm so glad your cycle has gone well and we can't wait for you to come back and join us. Best luck-I'm praying for you.

Babyluv-Scarlett's room sounds like it is coming together beautifully and I bet she is really enjoying it! Does she like sleeping on the big bed? How are you and the twins doing?

AFM-I am starting back to work on Monday and have already been working at school to set up my classroom. I have so much to do and much of it I can't do by myself (hanging things on the walls using a ladder) so my lovely DH is helping alot! We are also in the middle of painting the babies' room-I just want things done before I start back because I know how busy I'll be and that will stress me out! Painting was interesting-my DH is color blind so he was no help picking the colors. Oh well, it gives me full reign! I had a doc. appt. with the perinatologist yesterday-he said my cervix still looks great and that if it were going to change it would have by now. That means I might actually be done with transvaginal ultrasounds for a while-YEAH!!!!! I do go back in two weeks to measure the babies' growth. Everyone keeps telling me that I don't look like I'm pregnant with twins. I think I might know why now-on the u/s I found out the girl is breech and taking up the right side on my body (with her feet kicking my bladder!) and the boy is sideways right under my ribs. He sits so high he isn't adding to my belly much. He is robbing me of all my air though-I am winded just walking up the stairs in my house-AGH. Gotta love the joys of pregnancy-but I know it's all worth it!

I hope it didn't miss anyone in the novel I wrote-I am thinking of you all and hope you are doing well!

Hi everyone -

Hope you all are having a great weekend. I had the strangest thing happen last night, I've never felt movement like that before. I was standing at the kitchen counter sorting mail and all of a sudden I had maybe 3-4 seconds of pain in one tiny spot, but enough to make me gasp and then I swear she moved an organ or 2 around. It felt so weird! I dont know what she was doing in there, but I hope she doesnt do that again, it was just bizarre feeling. The pain part was over so fast that I barely had time to register it, but the feeling of organs being moved over was definitely unexpected. So far I havent made any "theres an alien inside me" jokes, but if she does that move again, I may have to! And Chris brought home a practically brand new high chair from one of the guys at work, who is done with babies, and says he also has a pack & play that they never used! Oh, and he also sent over these 2 stationary toys that babies sit in front of, or stand up at that play music, with lights and things to push, pull, open close - yeah we both played with it as soon as I saw it - haha. Oh, like you guys dont play with this stuff too, right? If I ever get any energy today, I want to get all the baby clothes washed and put away, finally. But we still havent had a day to get that wall size decal up, which is holding up the rest of the decorating, since this thing will take up a whole wall, I think - i want to post pics after its together - so we've got to get it done soon. Yay, girls, we've finally reached the fun part of all this that we went through - I cant believe that I'm 29 weeks now!
And we're all getting so close now - its so exciting - who else is getting a little nervous with me?

Steph- HOORAY!!!!! you know I've been stalking your registry, right? And i'm so happy that your furniture is all accounted for now!!! Whew! Even I was stressing that getting done, but now it is!! Now you just have to wait for it to ship to your local store and then its relax time! OK, so it still has to be put together, but I'm sure Andrew wants to see it done as much as you do. And I cant wait to hear how much your babies are weighing on wed either, jeez I wonder if I can nag this other OB on monday for a guesstimate on Savannah? Oh, I also plan to nag him for some Nexium, so I dont have to wander around in pain all day - grrr.

Lou - Oh, honey I'm thrilled that this cycle went so well! 7 fert is excellent! I know it was awful to have to have waited so long to start, but girl it sure was worth the wait, yes? And now a 5dt? awesome! You'll be PUPO tomorrow - yay! I'm crossing my fingers that you get some frosties too, I think you will :D
And how great is it to have an RE that has a sense of humor as well? OK, I'm on board too, "I'm not gonna take no for an answer" either - much love and the best of tranfers tomorrow - xoxoxo

Babyluv - Oh no, I dont sleep flat on my tummy, I couldnt ever relax that way, I'd feel like I was squishing her! I have this sort of mostly on my side, but a bit leaning towards my stomach position, if that makes sense? How are you feeling these days?

Sara - Yeah, I've come to see heart burn as a 24/7 thing too  I'm glad to hear that your cervix is looking great, and the end of trans vag u/s has got to be music to your ears! I'm carrying very high up also, so I hear you on the hard to breathe sometimes - of course you have it twice as bad as I do with 2 in there. I dont even try to lay on my back for more than a minute or so because it is much harder to feel like you're getting a full breath. Ah, what can we do?
Yes, mama you let your DH get up on those ladders for you! he's sweet to help set up your classroom with you. How long will you be able to continue teaching before mat leave?

Katie - Not sure I am familiar with the moving of organs feeling. What an interesting exprience. I have had a few sharp pains here and there tha I couldn't say were ligament pains so I just wrote it off as a nerve being pinched. I think all my organs definately have moved and are being cramped though all I feel is babies beating me up all day long. lol I am sure the only organ I can feel is my bladder. I can't say I play with the baby toys. The ones that make a lot of noise will quickly become annoying once the babies are old enough to play with it ALL the time. So I make sure not to play and expedite that experince. lol I can't wait to see your nursery photos! As for ours, seems as though things will all be together shortly with the furniture and decals coming. All we will need now is the shelves and just a few stuffies or something to put on the shelves. I might go get the shelves today actually. :) As far as your OB... if they aren't giving you an u/s then he will just tell you that your baby weighs around the weight they should be weighing at this stage in your pregnancy. If you get an u/s then you can get a better answer on your specific little Savannah. Since we all know that the "average" baby isn't "our" baby! Even my twins have been bigger than average so far!

Sara - Yes, the shower went fine. We have gotten a few gifts since the shower and I make sure not to touch them and wait for Andrew to open them. lol This way he gets the fun of that since he missed out at the shower. :) So school is almost back in session. Glad that DH is helping! After the classroom move last time and no one helped you, I assume it would be the same this time if you had to try and rely on them. YAY for no more dildo cams! I haven't had one of those since I was 8 weeks preggers. That must be nice to not look so overly huge that people suspect that you are caring twins. lol I look farther along than I am but no one ever thinks I am having twins or they tell me I look great for caring two. I don't think I will get any bigger than I did with Alex since the twins are coming 6 weeks early.

Lou - It's transfer day!!!!! Time for all my baby dust to work it's magic. lol Two weeks!!

Tammy - Haven't forgotten about your countdown! 12 days and counting. ;) Unless you get an earlier beta.

AFM - Not too much going on. Just getting the last little things together for the twins and getting back to school crap down for Alex. I will never understand this damn state! It is Texas... it's hot, really hot! Yet no matter what store I go to I can't find capris for Alex or even shorts that wouldn't get her kicked out of school. So my only options for my 11 year old is hoochie mama shorts or pants in 110 degree weather. Thanks Texas!! :x Of course we chose pants, she didn't even want to get the shorts because of how short they were. Andrew has been working these side jobs and made some more money so I will try to head out again today and find some more clothes for her. He is doing great with his meds still. I am very surprised that a couple pills was all he needed to start feeling better. Of course we are still waiting on leave, but I won't let him not be on his platoon sgt's ass about it. lol We went out last night to a friend's house who had a poker night at her place. Andrew won first place with his great gambling talent. It was great to hang out again since other than the shower, I haven't seen most of the girls since a year ago. The host has had a baby and got married so she had life happen, but she is starting poker night up again onc a month so that's something to look forward to. Well, I won't be able to take the twins for a couple months, but still, something to look forward to. :) Anyway... hope all you mommies are doing well and had a great weekend!

Katie – I am glad that you are feeling better now. So the hard kicking is what I have to look forward to when I reach your stage in my pregnancy. I’m sure it feels so strange but I am looking forward to the adventure.

Lou – Good luck on with your 5 day transfer today!!! I am praying for sticky embryos for you and your DH.

Babyluv – I am with you. I can’t lie on my stomach either …

Yes, I am still having my weekly u/s and every 4 weeks appointments; although, they might change the frequency of the appointments after my next visit on 4 weeks.

Bei – I am so glad that you took my advice and called your doc. It’s just miserable to sit there and be sick all day long. You are supposed to be enjoying your pregnancy, right? The Zofran worked best for me also because the Phenergan did absolutely nothing but made me very sleepy.

Stephanie – I am glad that you and the babies are doing well. So, school shopping has become a problem … I hope you have better luck when you go out again. It sounds like you had a great weekend so far … enjoying friends and a great poker game!

AFM – I am feeling much better today as yesterday I insisted we clean up our house yesterday and I over did it. I started having Braxton Hicks that just wouldn’t go away. My stomach remained contracted for a long period of time but luckily I had no pain with it just a very uncomfortable feeling. So I drank more and more water, took a shower to relax, and finally had to lie down for the rest of the afternoon and night. When I woke up this morning, I felt so much better. Those Braxton Hicks are not fun at all! I became just a little nervous because it just wouldn’t go away.

Hey girls!!!!!!!!! Nothing going on here. Just waiting for True Blood to come on tonight. :)

Katie- Food poisoning!!!!!! OH HONEY! I am so glad you feel better. I had it once from airport pizza but I can't imagine how awful it was being preggers! Organs moving?????? EEEKKK what a weird feeling! Did you call the Dr?

Stephanie- Love me some poker night!!!!!!! My in laws down in GA have Bunco night once a month. It rotates between 12 ladies. Basically I think it's just a way for them to drink and gossip. Of course...they don't REALLY need an excuse. :D

Angela- I'm glad the BH are getting better. How scary that must be. I have a question for you and other moms who are further along than me. How can you tell the difference between BH and a "real" contraction. How am I supposed to know the difference and not go running to the hospital every time???? I've really got to figure this out since I will be flying until 27w and they seem to start sooner.

Lou- Good luck and buckets of sticky dust to you today!!!!!!!!!!

Babyluv- I can't lie on my stomach either and I'm only 12w! What's going to happen when I start to pop? Although I may be showing a bit...I can't really tell the difference between chubby belly and baby. LOL

Well, I go back to work tomorrow. Staying domestic this time. Just off to Houston for a day. Hello TX heat!!!!! :) Have a wonderful week ladies!

Pa_FA - This is the information that was provided to me regarding Braxton Hicks/Contractions:

How can I tell the difference between Braxton Hicks and true labor contractions?

In the days or weeks before labor, Braxton Hicks contractions may intermittently become rhythmic, relatively close together, and even painful, possibly fooling you into thinking you're in labor. But unlike true labor, during this so-called false labor the contractions don't grow consistently longer, stronger, and closer together.

What can I do if my Braxton Hicks contractions are making me uncomfortable?

If you're within a few weeks of your due date, try these measures:

• Change your activity or position. Sometimes walking provides relief. At other times, resting eases contractions. (True labor contractions, on the other hand, will persist and progress regardless of what you do.)

• Take a warm bath to help your body relax.

• Try drinking a couple of glasses of water, since these contractions can sometimes be brought on by dehydration.

• Try relaxation exercises or slow, deep breathing. This won't stop the Braxton Hicks contractions, but it may help you cope with the discomfort. (Use this opportunity to practice some of the pain-management strategies you've learned in your childbirth preparation class.)
