Hi Ladies
I've been lurking on here since early July and have finally decided to 'come out of the closet' First let me say thank you to all of you lovely ladies for sharing your stories, wealth of knowledge and support on this thread. Just reading your posts has been such an amazing source of support for me. I'm currently waiting for AF after an exceptionally poor first cycle (13 day stim - only 2 follies). My RE decided to proceed with ER anyway. (I'm not sure why - and for some stupid reason I didn't think to ask ) Needless to say we didn't make it to transfer.
I have a long list of questions for him to discuss at my f/u appointment next week. I tried to get some answers from the nurse but when I finally got a reply she said "in a case like yours it's best for you to speak with the doctor directly". UGH! What does THAT mean exactly? I guess I will find out next week!

Tammy - My DH does not drink coffee. He drinks 2 redbulls a day!!! God forbid he doesn't lol! I did not have this much pain last time at all. I told DH that if he had as much pain as I do right now, he would be laying on the bed whining. I have only taken Tylenol so far. I have the heating pad on though! Yes, it is worth it if it works, which it better for both of us! I can't wait to hear our fertilization reports tomorrow. I go for a 3dt on Monday too.

Tammy--My husband did his 'part' at home and we brought it with us. Yours did it there? I joked with my DH about having to do it there. He was glad he could at home.

Lou--Lucky #7!!!!! Great news! Oh yeah....forgot earlier....we are not telling anyone about a donor. My DH is a twin and it will be difficult for him to keep it to himself. I've talked about it to my best friend, but said that it would be a while before we would even think about it. We want to do it soon so that no has any idea.

Missmerrilee...Hi and Welcome! Sorry that things have been soo tough for you lately. RE arrested?! I'll be doing the AF dance for you...so that you can try again soon. Did your doc have you on a microdose lupron flare protocol by chance? If not, ask him about it.

Lauren1171...Good Luck on your fert report tomorrow!!! Bill is hooked on Starbucks. Hope you are feeling better soon. I had a percocet at the clinic and then a tylenol 3 with codeine this afternoon...and I'm still in pain.

Karin...yes, they have a whole little room all set up for the guys full of magazines and movies...just in case they need some inspiration. lol We are very open with everyone about IVF...and Bill's friends from work were sending him topless girl pics all morning...just to razz him. lol

Typing has become quite the chore here...Zach ripped 14 keys off of my new laptop and some wont go back on correctly or at all. I forgot to lock it. Yes, new computer...he destroyed my other one 2 months ago. Hence the lock on this one. lol Ugh.

Tammy....I still can't imagine my DH doing his business in a room at a doctor's office. That would be so funny! He's such a conservative, goody-two-shoes kind of guy. I actually bought him a subscription to Playboy (for inspiration) when we started doing the IUI stuff. He was so paranoid about the mailman knowing that we got it. I thought he would die. He cracks me up! I said..."If anyone ever sees it, tell em it's mine". It's Playboy...not Hustler. I always look at it when it comes. I can't even open it until I find the hidden bunny on the front. It doesn't bother me. I'm not a jealous person. We're married....not blind. After all....he's mine and I'm his....

Beta level now 43 .... The clinic wants to discontinue treatment but I said I want to go atleast 2 more days. :{ what do I do?

Oh no Klinger...hoping and praying that it is not another tubal. I'm glad to hear the doc is retesting you again Monday and watching you closely.

Dys...Yes, I'm sometimes on the parents board...though it has been awhile. You are almost there...soooo exciting! Hope ER goes smoothly this time and they get lots of good mature eggs.

AFM: We all got a decent nap this afternoon...but, I'm hurting again now...so gonna go lay back down. I dont remember being in this much pain last time or bleeding. Oh well...it'll all be worth it.

Oh by the way...they did put me under this time (no spinal and watching it all) and DH was busy with his part while I was in there...like you all said he would be. lol He was sooo happy to finally have coffee after his part (I wouldnt let him have any for the past few weeks even while working 15 hr days)...that the nurses gave him 3 cups of french vanilla. lol

Sher...what was your other beta and on what dpo?

Karin...Yeah, I'm not a jealous person either. Boys will be boys...and some of the guys Bill works with are pretty immature. I just laughed when Bill told me what they were doing. lol

Amanda...they say that coffee can reduce fertility for both men and women. Here is just one article of thousands if you google. This was just the first one on the list when I googled. http://www.marilynglenville.com/infertility.htm They also say that any life style changes that you make takes 3 good months to produce new good sperm. Honestly, we only started Bill on a cocktail of vitamins for morphology issues 2 months ago (we werent gonna do another cycle till Sept due to overtime so it would have been 3 months) and stopped him drinking coffee 3 weeks ago...so not sure that any of it will really help. It did seem to help 2.5 yrs ago...when he was on vitamins for 3 months and had stopped coffee for about that long too. But, really who knows. Dont worry about any of it...if you havent already. IVF will bypass most issues anyways. Doing this just makes us feel like we are doing "something".

Does it go by the date since your ER ?? If so 18 days afer ER my beta was 58 and 20 days after it was 43. I had 2 embryos transferred ... could this mean 1 didn't stick ? Why would they want to cancel at this point. We told the clinic we want to atleast continue 2 more days of treatment and test again Sunday. (tomor) Help ??? What does all this mean.

My clinic lets the men bring the sample from home, or do it there. The last couple of times he did it there. I think so he could sleep later! My DH hurt his back, so we have not had sex since. I was sort of freaking out that his sperm would nit be good, because they say you should not have sex for 2 days before ER, but not more than 3. His quality is normaly great, but once it was very bad, and that was when he last hurt his back. The other day I sent him a text and said why don't you put in a movie and do your own thing?? He never replied lol!!!

Yes, from your ER date. I'm sorry Sher. It most likely means that you are having a chemical pregnancy. However, miracles do happen...and if you want to wait till tomorrow to discontinue meds...do so. I've been through this as well as many many women on this board. It sucks and I am really really sorry. Vent, cry, punch your pillow...and then try again when you are ready. Great Big Hugs.

Lauren1171...When we were doing IUI..we were only 10 minutes from the clinic and took it with us. Now we are 45 minutes away...so that may have something to do with it. Did you get your fertilization report yet?
