Hi Ladies: I have to take the vaginal progesterone twice a day. I'm having trouble inserting it in. Embarassing I never use tampons so I find this very uncomfortable & wonder if this will work for me...Any suggestions?

The first time around - I was on my own. My pharmacy only gives me 100mg suppositories - and I haveto take 400mg twice a day! that's 8 of those damn pills a day! I had trouble 'placing' them... sometimes I asked DH to help. 12 damn weeks...
The next time (my FET), the nurse asked if I 'still' had the inserter...umm... no! She gave me a stupid little plastic thing (looks like a syringe, but with a big opening at the top for the suppositories). That helped a LOT! Then it became as easy as putting in a tampon. Just relax and insert the 'inserter' and press on the plunger. All 4 in one go.
Now, I have to take them again for at least 12 weeks (yay for BFPs!). I finally got the 200mg suppositories! yay!
The stupid little plastic insterter thing really helps. Ask your nurses if they have some, or where you can get some.
Best of luck!

did they tell you to reuse your inserter? Mine came with a whole pack of inserters. It's not that bad, but it's 3 times a day and annoying. Then again, I just had my e/r today, so I'm just starting.
I have individual insert thank God!! I have to say this is more anooying than my PIO. Crazy as this may sound I rather have the shots. I have to insert 2x per day & it's a pain. I feel the shots I was getting the dosage but with these inserts I'm concerned that I'm getting enough dosage because it does leak out. I go for my u/s & b/w this Sunday we'll see then.
Has anyone felt depressed on the progesterone? I feel like I'm aliitle sad & depressed. I know I shouldn't be but I'm not sure if it's the hormones. I know I have so much to be thankful for.

Annpage - forgive typos I'm on a blackberry. I have to do them 3x a day and I ahte them already! To answer your question, I've heard that the progesterone is the hardest to handle emotionally. Its like being premenstrual and pregnant all in one. I have depression as it is so this should be interestin. Hang in there. Its worth it (so I hear).
