Dys~ I hope you are feeling better and good luck with your transfer tomorrow!

Sunshine and stars~ you are in my thoughts and prayers...

Amanda~ I'm so sorry to hear your news and I think it's great that you aren't giving up. You should definitely do what is in your heart.

Karin~ I hope you are enjoying your trip and relaxing.

Jenna~ It sounds like the nurse was sending lots of positive vibes your way...hang in there!

Nancy~ I'm glad that your appointment went well and that you like your doctor. We love our doctor and all the staff and I think that makes all the difference. Good luck as you continue!

Tammy~ Wow...4! I am praying for you too.

Lou~ I love the pictures of the blasts you transferred...that is really a neat part of this process.

Ester~ Thanks for the protocol information. It helps me understand all of the different medications I keep hearing about. I hope all is well with you.

To all who I missed today...thoughts are with all of you!

AFM...My AF finally started on Sunday. I was so ready for it to start, but have been unusually miserable the last 3 days. I never remember my AF being this painful. I went for my baseline u/s and b/w on Tuesday and got a call Tuesday night telling me that everything looked good and I was ready to start my Gonal-F and lower the lupron. I go back again on Friday.

Rebecca...congrats on starting Gonal-F, but sorry you were feeling so miserable :(

dys...9 fertilized is great, but sorry you're feeling like you are getting OHSS. I have a question for you though...PCOS means you produce a lot of eggs? I hadn't heard this. I have PCOS as well...so should I be hoping for fewer eggs as well??

Amanda1979...If you still feel like you should try with your own, then you should try with your own. My RE mentioned donor eggs to me before we even tried a cycle, just because of my history with tumors. Of course I decided I need to try on my own before going that route.

Lou...you are much stronger than me if you aren't going to POAS. I haven't even started stims yet and I stocked up on pregnancy tests yesterday (they were on sale and I just couldn't pass them up!!). I have a feeling it is going to be a sickness for me! Keep up your PMA, even if it doesn't feel like what you think it should be!

Lauren319...that's great that all 6 fertilized!! Congrats!

Jenna...those are some encouraging words from the nurse!!!

AFM....STIIIIILLLLLL WAITING. I don't remember being this anxious the last time I was waiting for AF to start...I know I'm really nervous that I will be cancelled again. I jsut want to get my baseline and hear them say "go ahead and start"! Like I said to Lou, my sister and I were shopping yesterday and I stocked up on pregnancy tests. Seemed like a good idea at them time, but now I just want to have a reason to use them!!! I'm feeling a little crampy, so I hope that means good things are on their way! My sister and I are going to see the latest Twilight movie (again!) with my cousin who is leaving for college next week! It will be nice to have a girly day :) HI hope you all have a good rest of your day!

cakes- if your cramps are severe I would call the RE just to be sure its ok. I always had light cramping on and off after transfer but not severe.

rypell- My RE said that in most PCOS case its quality over quantity. Since PCOS women have way more antral follicles which are the follicles that they count on your baseline appt they need to take things slower. For example I'm 26 and on my baseline i had 45 follicles where as a normal 26yr old would have 10-12. Thats one (and most obvious) of the symptom that they look for when they diagnose with PCOS hence why its called polycistic ovarian syndrome. So they usually put PCOS patients at low dose because they dont wont the 45 follies to take off and grow. On my 1st IVF I had 30 follies retrieved with 24 mature ones my e2 was really high and I almost had OHSS I didnt get pregnant and NONE of my remaining embies made it to freeze. The second ivf I had 11 mature with 9 fert. and had my DD and 1 blast embie to freeze. So in my case the less I get the better they are and also I stimmed longer on IVF #2- 10days than IVF#1=6days. Not sure if thats the case for everyone with PCOS but thats what my RE told me. I see that you are young to, are you insulin resistant? or just have the polycistic ovaries? I have everything :) lol so anyway yes PCOS patients usually produce alot more eggs becuase we have way more to start with. I will be doing the AF dance for you!

rebecca- yey for your AF!!! and for starting stims.

Tammy – Keep up those positive thoughts. You just never know what embie is going to stick. Stats are only stats. Just keep up your positive attitude and visualize that embie just sticking.

Miyaya – I am so sorry for your BFN. I know how hard it is. I would love to know how adoption works out and would love to support you through the journey. Lots of love.

Didi – that is so amazing. Congratulations on your singleton! I hear you! Get switched over, so that your insurance will finally cover something! Ugh, but amazing that everything is going great! How exciting!

Fitz – sounds like a good plan! Congrats~

Lou – I am just jumping up and down for you! How wonderful that you have 2 perfect embies and maybe some to freeze! This is fantastic news. You are Pupo my friend! I am doing okay. I think my mind is playing tricks on me. I sometimes feel different and so I think…maybe this is a different cycle. I don’t know any more! Ugh! I just can’t wait until 8/16. I’m going to POAS! I think I will name your embies. Circle and Dot. Stick Circle and Dot! Don’t feel bad Lou, every cycle is different. I was crazy last month thinking that I felt something and clearly that didn’t work out, so you just never know! I’m praying for you!

Lauren1171- congratulations my dear! You are so brave. Amazing that you transferred three great embies. Now you can join me in the 2ww. I will do my best to keep you out of crazy town, but I must admit, I’m already there so I might not be much help!

Teresa – There you are! I totally understand..sometimes it’s nice to just relax on the weekends. I’m feeling fine…a little weird…but who knows. I think I am going to wait one more day and POAS on Monday morning! Yikes, I’m already nervous. Oh my! Two weeks! You are going to have a blast at the wedding. Do you have your dress picked out?

Klinger – keep up the positive thoughts and hope. You can pull through this. I can’t wait until Thursday!

Karin – Hi Friend! I have been traveling for work on Monday and Tuesday, so a bit out of the loop! Oh my goodness, that’s really sad that she is in prison for $38. So, will she get Hannah back in 2012?

S&S – I’ve been thinking about you! I’m so sorry for the loss of one of the embies, but super happy that one is going very strong. I will continue to pray for you and send you lots of love.

dys- how did et go? how many embabies did you put in? how's your tummy feeling? i hope the bloating & pain when you pee has decreased.

cakes- if your cramps are bad & aren't going away, you should definitely give your re a call. i hope it's nothing & just implantation cramps. are you still planning on poas?

ryann- waiting for af stinks...i hope she gets there soon! i'm praying that you will hear those wonderful words "go ahead & start" at your baseline. enjoy your girlie day! i love your 2nd picture...very pretty!

rebecca- woohoo for af finally getting here! i moved your name on the list to "grow follies grow," which is what i'm hoping for you. let us know how friday's appointment goes.

fitz- congrats on the et. you're now officially pupo! af is definitely great excuse as to why you're not in the swimming mood. you can tell them you're on antibiotics & you can't drink, or else you get very sick.

lauren319- congrats on the 6 fertilizing (100% fertilization)...that is awesome news! crossing fingers that you'll have your et sooner than later!

sunshine and stars- don't apologoze for stopping by...you're always welcome! woohoo for a great 8 week scan. i will be praying for you that the next few weeks are good weeks. when is your next scan? i'm very sorry about no h/b in the other embie.

amanda1979- sorry about af's awful symptoms...she can be so evil. i think some re's mention the donor thing when a cycle doesn't work b/c it may be protocol. i think you should go w/ how you feel...if you're not ready to do the donor thing, then stick w/ your gut & keep trying. that's what dh & i are doing.

lou- your babies are beautiful! how is it going in pupo land? i think your chances of this working are in your favor. i know you feel a lot of pressure for this to work, but there's really nothing you can do at this point besides take it easy, get your pma going, & pray, which i will be doing for you. as far as the ganirelix, yes that shot gets done in the am & the follistim in the pm. the reason they had me bring it is b/c you start ganirelix when a lot of the follies are 13. so based on the u/s, they'd just have me do the injection there. however, out of the 18 follies (i believe that's what they told me) only 3 or 4 were measuring 13. so they said to hold off until they got the results of the b/w b/c if my estrogen levels were at 400 or higher then they's call me & have me start, which is actually what ended up happening.

karin- i hope you're enjoying your trip!

franny- how's vacation going? miss you!

jenna- that is really terrific that the nurse was being so optimistic...very reassuring! the 16th is just around the corner!

nancy- i'm glad you like the doctor...that is very important! sounds like you're off to a good start! can't wait until you're in the game!

kbillsy- i'm sorry i can't answer your question, but i'm praying for a nice bfp for you wherever you end up doing the beta.

chili- i teach health 6th, 7th, & 8th grades...haha, yes i'm looking forward to seeing all of my sweet "angels" soon! i do love my kids though, even the pain in the butt ones.

missmerrilee- good luck on your appointment tomorrow! let us know what your new re says. that is 1 crazy story about your old re...glad he is not practicing anymore & how awful for all of those women!

klinger (amanda)- what a rollercoaster you must feel like you're on! i hope tomorrow's beta bring you & dh positive news.

lauren1171- i hope that the tampon box never gets opened & your butt is sore & bruised from the pio injections...well i take that back...no soreness or bruising.

tammy- 4...wow! congrats pupo lady! i hope that your pma has increased since monday night. i'm praying very hard for you & for zack to have a sibling.

teresa- so sorry you hurt your back. let us know how your chiropractor appointment goes. isn't it funny that we get excited about injections?

miyaya- how are you doing sweetie?

didi- how did everything go yesterday?

afm...well is started my ganirelix, which means i'm about halfway through w/ my stims. tuesday's u/s showed about 18 follies total, w/ a few (3 i think) at 13 & the rest at 12, 11, & 10. i have another u/s & b/w tomorrow am. on tuesday, i asked the doctor doing my u/s about possible trigger dates & she said it was still too early to tell, but possibly anywhere from 3 to 5 days, which would mean anywhere between friday & sunday, which would make my re between sunday & tuesday. i have a feeling it won't be sunday, but who knows! dh's tesa will be done the day before my er...poor thing, on both of his boys...w/out being knocked out...ouch. he said it wasn't so bad when they did it last time on 1 of his boys...he's insane...he watched the whole thing...warning, tmi...he watched them inject the boy w/ anesthesia, which he said only hurt for a second when the needle went it...after that he was numb. then he watched them make a small incision & take out part of his testcile & take a little specimen of it. he is crazy! the whole time apparently he was making jokes the urologist & his assistant said...weirdo!

so the tesa this time needed to get coverage permission by insurance. we're still waiting. urologist's secretary is new & the old one just left, who said she's put it in for insurance appoval 2 weeks before the procedure. basically when i started stims. well she must have left right around that time b/c i just got off the phone w/ the new secretary & she said she put in for the approval last thursday. i'm sure it's not her fault b/c the old secretary probably just never told her to or maybe forgot...i don't know. i guess i should've been proactive & called when i started stims to make sure the approval was put in for, but who would've thought that there would be a secretary switch right at that time? so basically if they don't get back to her tomorrow, then we will have to pay for it upfront in case the tesa needs to be done over the weekend. then we will be reimbursed if the coverage comes through.

why is having a baby so dificult, lol? we are some strong women for everything we go through!

so hopefully i will know more about the possible er date tomorrow. oh yeah, when i was looking at my e-record as the nurse was reading up on our last consultation after the 2nd ivf didn't work & i noticed it said "patient will have last try w/ husband's sperm" i was pissed. what did that mean? so i asked, but the nurse said that it doesn't mean they'd "kick me out" she just said they put in the chat when there's more than 1 failed cycle. that's crap...it's my record & that statement "one last try w/ husband's sperm" is NOT true! whatever...they're getting paid!

i feel like i just wrote a novel. i'm so emotional...can you not tell in my post? i was bawling last night & now i'm so emotionally charged up i feel like i can feel the hormones swimming in my blood!

Wow, so much has happened these days!

Cakes, did you finally call the RE?

I am doing the FET and started Lupron 2 weeks ago. We went yesterday for monitoring and were told I was not suppressed yet (I had the feeling they were going to say this because I had not been bleeding). So another week with Lupron and need to be back on Tuesday 8/17. If I am suppressed that day then the ET will be on 9/7. It´s so long!!!!!! Good news is I started belleding yesterday might so that´s a good sign.

I am tired though and feel like I need vacation so I called the RE today to ask whether it´s ok to go to the beach and they´ve told me that I cannot sunbathe because I´m taking Lupron and it appears that some people have reaction to the sun when taking Lupron. Anybody´s ever heard about this?
Good luck to everyone!!!!!!!!!

Ester, Dys, Amaut

Thanks so much for your concern. You dont know how much it means to me. Anywoo, Im no longer having cramps, still nausea and heartburn. I had some chicken noodle soup from Noodles & Co and it took care of that. Im okay, I hope. My RE told me that if I continue then I needed to come in. She said that it was coming from the Crinone, which I use every morning

Im not going to POAS at all. Maybe. LOL. My BETA is on Monday, so hopefully I can wait!

Ok I have some catching up to do but wanted to tell you guys a story. I was swimming today with my step-daughter who is 9 1/2. We got out and I had a towel wrapped around my waist. She was looking at my stomach and said, "Are you pregnant?". I was horrified!!!!! Not that I am so skinny or anything normally, but my belly is so swollen and bloated still! It's like it's hard and I can't even suck it in! I need to go to the gym starting tomorrow!!!!! Now if I really am, she will say I knew it!
