So, I had my second beta today. It was at 200 even so it tripled in two days. My RE is happy w/it and my progesterone levels are fine so they said they don't need to see me again until my u/s on the 20th. I'm a little nervous and I originally asked to do one more and my nurse said it was unnecessary. The RE feel things are going well and I need to get used to things like this b/c I'm going to be released to be OB and I'm going to be seeing them only once a month. If something is wrong or if I have any questions I should call but I'm OK. I realized the nurse is right but I can't help being nervous

Well, loads of baby dust to everyone!!!

Krissy...I was sooooo about to send you a message b/c I knew you had your second beta too today...I do my u/s on Aug 20. I'm a little sad we're not doing it on the same day. We've been on the same schedule until now. I'm going to go pick up some HPT's so at least I feel like I'm doing something these 9 days...this is almost as bad as the 2WW...I want to know how many they see and know they're doing OK.

Mrs IVF thats fantastic news.

Newsie- powerade dos the same thing. The nurses also recommended I have chicken noodle soup, protein and V8 to help with the symptoms.

Melo- stay positive, i know that is hard sometimes. Your 4 are dividing nicely, thatś really good news, the less fragmentation. 4 good ones are worth more than a pile of fragmented embryos

AFM
1st IVF ER 35 none of which fertilzed, imagine my shock, I started to bawl. DH´s numbers were great and there was no real explanation. Just told maybe thatś why havent conceived in the past, theyŕe to shy to ask for directions, LOL. Emergency ICSI was performed and in the end had 2cell and two 4cells at ET.

2nd IVF had ER 24 but by day 3 only 15 were still viable, 4 ET and none of the others made it to freezing.

So while I had ER 18, today´s report was that 12 fertilzed. I´m hoping that at least half of them continue to divide, and that we´ll have good ones to transfer. So thatś why I´m praying that this cycle was one of quality rather then quantity.

Hope your all going well.

Good luck heidi - the wait between ER and Transfer is hellish with those daily reports. Heart really in your mouth! Yes I'm all for quality over quantity! Keep us posted

Sounds like all you pregnant ladies are doing nicely. I hear a tradition within certain cultures (I think) where pregnant ladies rubbing bellies bodes well and passes on fertility. So lots of belly rubbing for us next in line pretty please!

AFM: I have transferred today 2 x 8-cell day 3 embryos. Hellish decision between now and waiting it out to day 5. And I'm a coward couldn't wait it out. So now I just sit tight and hope. Beta on 8/24

Heidi67, 12 fertilised is great- looks very promising!!! Good luck with the ET.
Melo P- well done for transferring on day 3. Does it matter if they are day 3 or 5 as long as they keep developing? Also-you have transferred 2 which hopefully will give a you a better chance. I wish you all the best, look after yourself –hellish time ahead indeed!!!!!

Macsi and Melo, thank you for the good wishes.
Melo- 2 8 cells is great. Good choice to get them back in their natural environment. :D Did they give you pictures?
Nelisiwe- How are you feeling?

AFM Yeah  some made it! Transferred B, C, C, and D 8 cell embryos (max 4 since I´m over 40) Pregnancy test 26/8 (my birthday). The 4 remaining ones are being cultured for 3 more days, don´t expect them to make it to freezing as their D ( more than 25% fragmentation) but you never know. My ovaries are still swollen, so hanging out in my bedroom today, saving venturing downstairs until tomorrow.

Heidi and Melo I am glad the transfers went well for you ladies!! I went in today and both sacs progressed 3 days since my US on Monday. We saw a yoke in both but no hb. I am only 5w6d so I am not panicing yet. I go back Tue. My blood work also went back up over 5000 so they will go strictly by US now. Krissy Ivf Macsi and Nelisiwe how are you??? Soccermom how are the shots going? Its like riding a bike starting those over again. Hope all is well with everyone!!

I ended up having an emergency appointment w/my RE b/c this was the second night in a row where I have been woken up by sharp stabbing pains in my stomach. I know it's not cramps...I've had those but I've never had pain like this. Last night I woke up crying over it and I did again tonight. I tried to wake up DH tonight and he just woke up for a second and then went right back to sleep. Well, I wake him up to let him know I'm going for an emergency appt. and he looks at me and then goes right back to sleep!!! Are you effing kidding me??? What more do I have to do? So, I found out it was my OHSS...he(my RE) said it's just really bad and I need to try not to move around at all. It's making my ovaries slosh around and causing all the pain. He said it should go away by the end of next week but I'm on complete bed rest. Thank God it wasn't an ectopic pregnancy(which is what I was worried about)but the fear of waking up in the pain I have for an entire week makes me want to cry.

Mrs IVF I am sorry to hear about your OHSS troubles. Did they do an US to confirm? If so did you get to see your sac(s)? Feel better soon. Krissy no real symptoms yet I have been nauseous but not sure if that is from pregnancy or progesterone. I heard symptoms don't start until 8weeks give or take. I havn't puked but sure felt like it a few times (TMI) I hope everyone is doing well. Keep us posted!!

Hello everyone,

First of all congratulation to all the preggos ladies!!!!!!!!! that s so good news!!! it really give us hope.
Mrs IVF, hang in there! this will be over soon. Can t wait you to tell us about your next u/s.
Katie, keep us informed on your next u/s. Twin is really what i am wishing for. Did you get use to the idea yet? is it your first baby?

AFM, i am 7dp3dt, i had the transfer done on my birthday. So really wish this was a sign from god giving me the present of my life. I transfer, 1 8cellS grade AB, and one 12cells grade B. This was a natural fet. The 2ww, are killing me. i don t know if what i feel is from the progesterone or from a possible pregnancy. This is so tricky!!! and playing with my hope. I am bloated, nauseaus, exhausted, have acidity, and my stomach is growling all the time. My beta is for next sunday. But i will start testing this wenesday.
Good luck for all the girls in the 2ww.

Hi, itsmyturn!
Welcome! it is a very difficult time this 2 weeks waiting! I got through lying on the sofa, watching countless DVD s and the second week went back to work to take my mind off things. I was prepared with questions to ask and actions to take if the outcome was to be negative-like FET related etc.
Krissy, I saw your post on another thread-did you get checked out by your doctors?
Melo P –thinking about you-expecting good news!!!
AFM-I am having my third blood test tomorrow and am planning to ask my GP for a early scan referral for next week( when I will hopefully be 6+ weeks) and pray for a viable pregnancy. I did not want to do a scan before HB is detectable. So-I am waiting too...for the outcome of my BFP.I am not experiencing any pregnancy symptoms yet!
How is everybody else doing?

MSIVFNY- So sorry to hear that your OHSS has returned with a vengence. I hope the week of bedrest helps. Have your DH pick up some mags/novels from the library to make the time on bedrest go easier. Hope you have a laptop to help ease the time away.

Krissy and Katie -Hope your test give you nothing but joy tomorrow

Macsi- Hope your outcome next week is also wonderful

Itsmyturn- welcome, not long now before you POAS

Melo- how are you doing?

AFM: 3dp3dt and tired of chicken noodle soup, my belly's still bloated and I'm getting antsy (not use to doing nothing). Glad the weather has turned cooler as I can turn off the noisy portable airconditioner. My big adventure was going to the acupuntrist today, first time Ieft the house and my pjs since ET. He's going on holiday until the 30th (when I go back to work) Hopefully life will be stress free until then. other then the stress of the TWW that is.
