I only watched a small segment, but read an article that said that even though her doctor said she needed to gain 5 to 10 lbs (of which she gained 5 - i can't imagine a life in which it was a struggle for me to gain 5-10 lbs..wow) that on the show, they still kept coming back to the age issue as her reason.

part of me is happy that they are talking about this in such a public forum - infertility is too hidden and needs to be recognized by the world as a real health issue and come to understand what IUI and IVF are. There are so many misinformed people out there throwing out ignorant and wrong messages, it's frightening.

however, just because someone (including myself) has gone or is going through treatments does NOT make them an expert on the matter and for them to go on the View saying that age is the only, or primary factor when you admit yourself that your doctor wants you to gain weight.... that is irresponsible too. Weight issues, both under and over weight, can be a big factor in fertility from what I've read. I think it's great to inform, but celebrities - get a doctor to assist you with your interviews so you educate properly!
