Post by kbillsy »

Hey Ladies - well I'm still waiting for the official call with results and to talk to the nurse but I'm 99% sure I'm BFN  My dr office has a website where they log all our results and I can already see them there and the HCG is < 1 mIU/mL. I'm so bummed and frustrated but have been somewhat expecting this since we didn't have many eggs or embryos and then the embyos did not seem like they were developing very well based on pix at the transfer. Was really hoping that they would catch up and today would be BFP - I guess it just wasn't meant to be this time around :( I'm definitely not giving up... just not sure what our plan will be - I think I need at least a month off to recover mentally, physically, and financially. This is so expensive and we just did 2 back to back cycles! At least by getting a sneak peak at the results, I won't be stunned when they call and I have a list of questions to ask about what is wrong, different procotocols, etc.

Hope you all have better luck with your activities and results today!

Tammy - you're back!!!! Hi!! I'm so sorry you've been through so much! You never know though. Mayeb the fact that it wasn't your brother is a sign that this time will work? Who knows, right? AND there were 4. 4!!!!
No boys' names yet..we can't agree on any, of course. I will most definitely POAS because I'm an anxiety-ridden wreck most of the time. I can't imagine I'll be able to wait.

Lou - Awesome willpower! I'm so excited to find out!! Don't worry about fighting with your DH. You are right in that he doesn't have to go through what you do, so a little yelling can't hurt him all that much. I threatened to stick my husband with mine and he doesn't even give them to me, so, there's that :)

Jenna - can't wait to hear about today.

Lauren - totally agree with tammy. POAS for our sake. :)

Tiger - It could still be ok! It's sill early. No worries!!!

Ryann - WTF, dude?! I'm sorry. Do they do a hysteroscopy on you? They should be able to do it within 6 weeks. Please let us know. I'm thinking of you.

KBill - they put your results on a website?? Like you have to login to see them or they're public? Did it have your name by it? How do you know it's yours? It's not over til it's over. I'm still hoping you're wrong.

Ester - WOOOHOO!!!! I'm so excited for you! 18 is great!! Did your DH watch his TESA again?? I can't wait for tomorrow's report!

Ester - 18 eggs is AWESOME!!! Congrats! Rest up for transfer!!!

Tammy - hopefully your August streess is winding down and you will get a BFP soon!

Lauren 319 - congrats on PUPO - your baby boy will be perfect! for my dr's site, you have a login and password that connect syou to just your own stats/results. So you can only see your own - not everyones. Sorry that wasn't very clear!

Thanks for all the support...it really is so nice to have you all here to vent to! The masses are called dermoid tumors (sometimes dermoid cysts??? I have heard both, but my doc always calls them tumors). If you google them, they are quite nasty (just a warning, if you have weak stomach, don't google image them!). They don't really know what causes them, at least they haven't told me. The one in 2007 was found because I had AF for 32 days and finally went ot the doc. They removed it laparoscopically (sp??), it was about the size of a grapefruit and sent me on my merry way. I did my yearly cehck-up in '08, '09, '10 and seemed to be fine. They found the other 3 at my last US and BW to start IVF and decided to remove them via a full incision this time, because apparently it isn't common for them to comtinue to come back. These three were smaller, each one about the size of a plum.

Lauren319...what is a hysteroscpoy?

Ester...YAY for 18 eggs! Congrats!

Tammy...I'm so sorry for all the stress! I will continue to pray for your BFP...don't count it out yet!

kbillsy...I'm so sorry about yout results.

Lou...I can't wait until tomorrow!!!!!!!

Quick Update:

Did BW this morning and got a call that it was up to only 32.....bummed!!! My RE told me that they want to closely monitor me as the slow increase may be due to the OHSS. They didnt sound worried at all. Im 9dpt5dt....shouldnt it be higher. I go back on Wednesday for another BW. Just feel down and dont know what to think.

Will check back later.

Ester - Congrats on 18 eggs, WOO-HOO!!!!

Ryann - I'm so sorry they found another mass! They found a large dermoid cyst on my right ovary when they did my tubal reversal surgery. (And yes, the description they gave me was so gross my bff & I had to google them to get further grossed out.) They removed it at that time but then I ended up losing that ovary with my last ectopic (I still wonder if scar tissue from all of that somehow caused the embryo to implant on that right ovary...we'll never know, but it's made me wonder.)

Tammy - sorry you've had to go through so much stress lately. I hope it all gets less stressful really soon!

kbillsy - I'm so sorry for your results. Like others said, I hope when you get the call back those results you saw were wrong.

Lou - you do have wicked good willpower. I just can't wait to hear good news from you tomorrow!

AFM, I don't think it's looking all too great. My number did go up to 1724, but given that my draws this time were 4 days apart, it didn't double within 48-72 hours (doubling time was 3.14 days where my previous draws were doubling anywhere from 1.23-1.64 days.) Needless to say with the cramping, bleeding, low betas (I would be 6 wks from LMP tomorrow), and beta that didn't double within 72 hours I am terrified of another e/p. So thankfully the doc can get me in at 3:45 ET today to have my ultrasound instead of tomorrow. I just couldn't take another night of worrying about this being an e/p. I am really hoping that the u/s shows me I had nothing at all to worry about, but after February's nightmare I just couldn't wait another day to see what the heck is going on in there. Will keep you posted!

Klinger and Cakes - Sorry about your betas. I think getting poor betas and having to keep repeat them over and over just to find out it's a miscarriage, etc is much worse than a BFN. That is my fear this Friday....getting a very low beta and then going away for a week!

Hi All,

Tammy, So good to hear from you! But very sorry to hear about your past stressful weeks. We'll keep up all the PMA for you :) Still praying for a BFP for you. I'll PM you to add to Facebook :)

kbillsy, Similar to everyone else, I'm praying for the best with your results this evening.

Ester, Awesome egg outcome! Can't wait to here the fertilization report tomorrow!

Cakes, Very sorry to hear that your beta was not what you had hoped for. I wish I was more advanced and could provide better insight, but all of this is still so new to me as well. I don't even know what to expect; but I have read in many places, that every woman and even every pregnancy is different when it comes to HCG rising fast or slow. There are many women that have reported starting out slow, but picking up later on to have a healthy baby. So, don't lose the hope. Praying for the best!

AFM, haven't heard back from teh office yet about my b/w this morning. So patiently waiting and praying all is well. I'm finally starting to feel a little better from this OHSS, but the swelling hasn't went down at all. I noticed that though it's rough in the beginning, walking really helps and I have less bloated pain than sitting or lying down all day. My DH said he would walk around the block with me each evening starting today, so that's sweet. :) Anyways, I will post again when I hear something back. Baby dust to everyone. Be encouraged

Ester- Wow! Congrats on your 18 eggies, I can't wait to hear how many fertilized. I hope you and your DH are healing well.

Lauren319- Congrats on being the future mother of three boys. Dont forget to surf online for names and their meanings. They might have more options then just the baby name books.

Tammy- I'm sorry that your "help" wasn't that helpful. :( I'm sorry to hear about the death in your family but dont let it effect your PMA for adding a new addition back to the family!

Ryann- I'm sorry they found another mass on the u/s, but I'm praying that it wont effect anything and you will get the ok to start your cycle. At least AF finally reared her ugly face.

Lou- I am holding my breath for your results tomorrow that way I can shout words of joy for you!

Klinger, Cakes, Kbillsy- I've still got hope for you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you, keep holding on!

Tiger- When was your beta suppose to be? Are you sure you dont want to go in because its easier to pick up the HCG in a blood test. Either way I've still got everything crossed for you. Sending lots of love your way!

Libby- Hi and thanks for checking on us. You are having a boy! That is so awsome and what my DH is hoping for. I would be happy with either sex (or one of each) but I think DH is really hoping our first (and second) are boys. Hope you are feeling well!

Ashley- Offical count down says 3 more days until you are PUPO!

AFM- Ok I had 5 pages to catch up on since I still didnt manage to get on over the weekend (sorry Tiger! Glad that sunday stick was defective  ). So needless to say I have some reading to do to catch up on to see where everyone is and personals. I am so relieved that I get to start SOMETHING (lupron!) tomorrow. It will be a super busy week with my brother's wedding on Saturday. Plus my co-worker went into labor this morning so for the next 6 weeks I will be doing my job plus her's as the owner never hired a temp. Ok enough with the sob story...I send well wishes to everyone and will let you know how things go tomorrow. I think I'm having a Stick and stir tomorrow and then another teaching lesson on how to give the injections (like I would forget  ).

GOOD NEWS!!!! CT scan showed that the "mass" is actually just a spot on my ovary still healing from my surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am obviously VERY excited! So Ester....I know where you can move me! I am on BCPs until Sunday and then I will begin stims on Thursday, August 26th (assuming my us and bw that day look good)!!!!!!!!!!!! The only bad thing is that my students start back on September 7th and it looks like that will be a busy ER/ET week for me :) Oh well...it will be SO worth it!!!!
