Nurse FINALLY called and confirmed beta is negative... I'm so bummed about this. I feel like a few months ago I was so hopefull that IVF would be our solution - now after 2 failed cycles, I just don't know what to do. The nurse is going to have the doctor call me tomorrow to consult on our case and what he thinks is happening and what he recommends for our plan moving forward. Hopefully he will have some encouraging suggestions... Sorry to be a bummer on the board :(

Hello All

Oh my I have missd alot! We just arrived at Myrtle Beach :) I am so excited bc we have never been here before. On the way here we stopped in South Alabama at a Waffle House. Now I am a southern girl now to my toes, but the employees at this waffle house reminded of the movie "Deliverence". My husband was telling hurry up eat eat so we can get the hell out of here..lol then later he decided to pull over for gas in the ghetto (LMAO), but we finally made here in one piece. I hope everyone is doing well on their journey. We are on hold until October, but we are thinking of going to get a 2nd opionion.

:( Hi to you all.....it is all a big scam or something...I am convinced that Progesterone is evil and so are hpts!! I had gotten my beta results at 2pm...ALL those symptoms and a BFN!!!! I was all set to hear something entirely different and know that IF I do a second cycle of IVF, I will NOT be on boards comparing symptoms and looking for a positive in everything. This is my fourth failure and I feel like a useless human being. My DH had long ago resolved himself to the fact that he would never have kids and then along I came. I have let him down four times!! I cannot cause or risk causing him the emotional turmoil of a BFN yet again.....
Love and hugs and thanks for your support.......I have a lot to think about and a lot to talk about with my DH. I would definately do another cycle, but I don't want to hurt him again...I guess I'll get his opinion on it all and maybe talk to my dr before I make a decision to not do it ever again, but I am OLD and I don't have much time and no insurance and blah blah blah....I guess we'll see!!
Great Big Sticky Baby Dust to all of you!!
Hugs,

I am so aggravated!!! I just went to the bathroom and when I wiped faint pink!!!!!!! WTF! How many do I have to put in to have it work? I don't get it? My stupid insurance will make me do another FET for my final paid for cycle since I have 5 eggs frozen. I hope AF comes fully tomorrow so I can get an early beta, go on the pill and make her go away before Friday. I don't think it's going to be a sober cruise!

Whoa, Lauren. let's not get ahead of ourselves. It could just be spotting...and not even. All you did was wipe faint pink. You're not even bleeding....and even if you were, not profusely. Deep breaths, my friend. We will get through this.

dys- hey! how are you? yeah i'm happy w/ 18! let's hope most of them are mature & there's a good fert report tomorrow. i'm really glad that you're feeling better! less than a week & you'll be getting your bfp!

jenna- i'm so sorry sweetie! i think talking w/ dh will be good. you are not old...plenty of women in their 40s (especially early 40s) go on to have healthy pregnancies & healthy babies. i wish you the best in whatever road you choose.

amanda1979- i love myrtle beach...you & dh will have fun. how long are you staying for? please keep us updated if you decide to get a 2nd opinion.

kbillsy- i'm really sorry about your beta result. please don't give up & dont apologoze. i hope your re has a new plan lined up for you that will be just what you need for a bfp.

ryann- that is awesome news! you have been moved on the list...woohoo!!! what do you teach again? sorry, i know i've asked before & you told me. the same thing happened to me last september as far as my students go....they were like "mrs. moore, are you ok? you've been coming in late & taking days off."

teresa- have fun at your class...do you practice on an orange? let us know how your sns goes. thanks so much for your words of support.

renee- have you heard yet? that is very sweet of your dh to walk w/ you...what a nice guy.

tammy- it is still too early to test. i'm sorry about the death in your family. sounds like you had a really stressful weekend...i feel so bad. (((HUGS)))

klinger13 (amanda)- how did your u/s go? i'm praying for you.

cakes- when they did your beta on friday, that wasn't scheduled. so think of it (as hard as it may be) as today's # as your 1st #. so on wednesday, it WILL increase in a good way. pma, pma, pma!

lauren319- no dh didn't watch this time, lol!

lou- good luck tomorrow!!!

tiger- are you going to your beta tomorrow?

Hi Everyone!

I received my 2nd beta results rather late in the afternoon and have been ripping and running with errands ever since. But my HCG came in at 2381! And my RE said I can stop all my medicines and will have my 3rd beta this Friday, yay! I'm very happy, and hope being off the progesterone and estradiol will help my ohss go away sooner. I'm excited and am thankful for all the support received from this site. But I am also sadden to read the heartbreaks this week. I'm praying that more BFP and healthy progressing pregnancies start taking over this thread.

Baby Dust, Baby Dust, Baby Dust!

Kbillsy...Ugh, I am so so sorry. This really stinks! I hope your doctor has some suggestions for trying something different and that you can jump right back in and try again soon. Big Hugs.

Jenna...Progesterone is evil and does mimic pregnancy. I am really really sorry and hope and pray that you and DH can get through this and try yet again. A friend of mine did 14 IUI's/IVF's and brought their baby home last April. Now that is extreme, yes...but who knows...the next one may be the one. And, you are not old! I'm 42 and still trying and did get pregnant in April which is a good sign for this old(er) gal. lol There is a saying from one of the girls on here that I adopted as my motto..."Never give up something that you can not go one day without thinking about."

Cakes...Congrats on your beta! Please no worries at this point! Your beta is good for technically being your first one. Hang in there! Big Hugs.

Ryann...Yayyy!! That is awesome news! I am sooo very happy for you!

Amanda...Your trip there reminds me of the one time we stopped in West Virginia...we thought we were in some sort of horror movie and couldnt get out of there fast enough. lol Have a great time! Second opinion cant hurt anything...that is for sure.

Dys...How many days past will you be on Thursday? Cant wait to hear the good news!

Klinger...I am still holding out hope for you! Praying sooo hard!

Ester...Wow! Now that is how it is done! lol I take it you'll be going for a 5 day transfer. Cant wait to hear the fert report tomorrow.

Lauren1171...That could be implantation spotting!!! I am actually having a really good feeling for you and am not worried at all. So go grab your PMA back off that shelf and hold on tight! Remember that PIO wont allow AF to start. If you do bleed...it mostly like has nothing to do with a negative. Many pregnancies have bleeding...the docs were just up there a week ago messing around...is it really any surprise that IVF'ers tend to have alot of bleeding issues during positive pregnancies?

Lou...Good Luck tomorrow!!! I have a terrific feeling for you!

Renee...Yayyy Renee!!! Congratulations!!! That is awesome news! Just got your PM while writing this...going to go give you my full name for FB now! =)

AFM...Uhm yeah...remember that negative test I took and then went and laid down afterwards for a nap? Well, 2 hours later I see a faint line. Is it an evaporation line...or did I miss the faint line earlier?! Could go either way. It was a cheap dollar tree test (New Choice) that picks up 25 units or even a little less...and it was afternoon pee (very concentrated though cause hadnt gone in 4 hours or had anything to drink either). No, I can not tell if the line has color or is colorless...cause it is just that faint. I did test on Saturday night to see if the hcg shot was gone and it was...and no evaporation lines at all on that one...even today. I have been reading online that dollar tree tests do have evaporation line issues...and then others saying that when they had 2 lines show up 2 hours later that they were indeed positive results every time...and others saying that there are no problems with those tests having evaporation line issues. So really it could go either way. I am almost a wee bit excited to think that maybe it is something and that I may have very well even missed it the first time and it was actually there the whole time. Bill doesnt really see it at all...and is skeptical...but that is just how he is though. I will test again tomorrow morning and this time with a good test that I feel confident in...the FRER. Anyone have any experience with these dollar tree tests and evaporation lines? Thanks.

Tammy - Yay, I am glad you got your PMA back! Get an Early Response test for Wednesday AM.
I am on the vaginal Crinone progesterone. You can get AF with those, as I have twice before. My AF is due Wednesday (28 days). But I just have a bad feeling that this is it. All the period symptoms have started too.

So you're on the vaginal suppositories? Well then, you know that they are very irritating and cause pink bleeding all the time. I am even more convinced now that it is nothing. That is sooooo common! That is why I dont like the suppositories.

Also, how can your AF be due Wednesday...if retrieval was the 6th...if 28 days, then it isnt due till Friday? Dont go by your last period. Your due date should be the same as mine...April 29th. Here let me show you what I mean...this is a super cool website that I just love and followed all through my pregnancy with Zach...and boy was it right on with everything.

Also, you know that pregnancy and AF symptoms are the same...so STOP IT...and quit getting yourself down girl! (said with lots of love) :D

I have the First Response Early Results 6 days sooner (FRER)...same as you're saying...gonna try again tomorrow. I'm addicted.

Tammy - Thanks, that chart is pretty cool. I say Wednesday because that is 28 days from last AF, but also because in all my IUIs and fresh IVF cycles, it has come 2 days before my beta. I guess only the next few days will tell.
