:? Morning....
So last night we had to drive down to pick up my daughter at my ex husbands house and I drove. In a somewhat new car. The smell was atrosous!! It smelled like fish sticks!! I kept putting my hand up to my face to smell that instead while we drove and made a very conscious decision to swallow slowly to not barf. By the time we got there, I go in and felt all sweaty and clammy and needed something in my stomach or that was gonna be it. I ate a granola bar. Still felt like I needed something else and the kids gave me an apple juice. I took that with me and drank it on the way home slowly. The smell was still really bad on the way home but I was the only one who could smell it. WHY am I SO tired every 4 hours, like knock down drag out tired? WHY can I smell this nasty horrible fish sticks smell and WHY is it making me sick when I am NOT PREGNANT??? I JUST DON"T GET IT!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone - I'm still kinda groggy so I'll have to go back and read all the posts later, but the u/s wasn't good. No sac in the uterus, but they could see a sac outside of it. And I had blood pooling behind the uterus so it was too late for the metho shot. Went straight from the RE's to the hospital and had emergency surgery last night to take out the e/p and my left tube. So I'm down to 0 tubes and 1 ovary, UGH!!! At least the left ovary was ok, I was scared to death of instant menopause if I lost that too. And this surgery was 6 months and 1 day from the last e/p...what crappy luck.

So I have my post-op follow-up with the RE in a week and we'll talk more about moving on to IVF at that visit. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers while I went through this beta limbo the last couple of weeks. I really appreciate it!

OMG Klinger! I am soo soo sorry. Please get some rest and take it easy. Sending you lots of prayers and hugs.

Fitz...Good attitude! You just never know! Your post actually gives me hope and I seriously need to adopt your attitude.

Jenna...Progesterone will do that to you until it is out of your body. I deal with the same exact symptoms and so does most of the women on this board. Sending more hugs!

AFM...I took another hpt this morning...the good one (FRER) and BFN at 11dpo. This isnt helping my PMA. :(

kbilsy...sorry for the ocnfirmation on the BFN. I cna't wait to hear your plan for moving forward.

amanda1979...I hope you have a great time on vacation. My husband and I drive from Chicago to Florida every year and we always stop at least at one place where he starts humming the song from Deliverance!

Jenna21...I'm so sorry about your BFN.

dys...I can't wait to hear about your POAS marathon beginning Thursday! When is your beta again?

Lauren1171...now i don't have any advice for this, but it seems like the other ladies think it's pretty normal??? Try to keep the PMA! I teach 6th grade.

Ester...THANKS FOR MOVING ME!!! That's been a long time coming! I teach 6th grade, self contained. I was coming in and out a lot at the end of last year because I was supposed to start and they are just so nosey! Then I'm hearing all this talk about all of you looking 4 months preggo and I'm like GREAT! I'm going to have a million questions to combat!

Tammy...Oh Tammy, please try to keep up the PMA. You NEVER know!

Franny...That's so exciting! What do you start on the 26th? That is the same I day I get to start my Follistim!

Klinger...what an awful thing to have to go through again. I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you.

fitz...good job keeping up the pma!

Ester -- 18 eggs is wonderful! You must be really happy. I can't wait for your fert report.

Lauren319 -- How ya feeling? Any symptoms yet?

Ryann -- Great news about yor ovary! Yay for the green light to start! I'm excited.

Cakes -- I'm so sorry for the low rising beta. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Wednesday.

Klinger -- OMG! You poor thing. I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I guess the only bright side is it would be really difficult for you to have an ep now, right? Rest up, heal, and try again when you are ready.

Renee -- Congrats! Great beta!

Ronda -- Yeah.... the stress is about killing me too. I honestly have no idea what it will be.

Teresa -- Thanks! Nice to see you back. Good luck on your SnS!

kbillsy -- I'm sorry for the BRN result. It just plain sucks. Do you know what your plan is next?

Amanda -- Funny story! Have a great time on vacation.

Jenna -- Yes, I agree, PIO is very very evil!

Tiger -- Are you going to POAS or get your beta today? Good luck 2ww buddy!

Dys -- HPT addict alert! Once you start, you can't stop. Best of luck to you. I hope you get that BFP when you do it.

Lauren1171 -- Don't read too much into the spotting. Could be from anything at this point. Tammy is right.

Tammy -- Don't lose your PMA now! You are in the home stretch. But honestly, that's exactly why I don't POAS. We both know you could get a negative HPT and still have a positive blood test. But it just really sucks to see it right there in front of you. I'm not giving up on you yet.

Franny -- So glad you saw your surge and have an idea when you're starting your next cycle. A game plan is exactly what you need right now.

fitz -- Waaaay to early to POAS. Give it another day or two.

AFM -- Beta was drawn this morning. Now the agonizing wait for the result. I expect to get the call between 2pm & 4pm CST. I'll be at work. I might not be able to get on here until I'm home but I promise to update everyone either way tonight or as soon as I can. I am terrified and I honestly have no clue what the result will be. I was VERY tempted to POAS this morning, but I decided not to do it. My two negative cycles I did it and I didn't on my positive one. So I'm keeping with tradition.

lou- i'm so antsy for your beta result...i just know it will be a bfp! i am very happy about my dozen & a half eggs...very nervous about the fert report. last time we had 21 eggs, 14 were mature, & 2 fertilized. i'm having visuals of my eggs growing & dividing.

ryann- just get a lot of baby-doll style tops...gives you a reason to go shopping  6th grade self-contained...wow, that's a very challenging position!

tammy- you are still too early...i've got everything crossed for you! i don't think it'll be a 5dt...we've always had a low fert report. i'm actually super nervous about it.

fitz- you are definitely too early...don't lose your pma!

klinger (amanda)- omg sweetie i'm so sorry! i'm really glad they were able to save your left ovary, but everything else you had to go through is just awful...i feel so bad (((HUGS))) get some rest...you've been through a lot! keep us posted on your follow-up w/ your re.

jenna- i'm so sorry you're having all those preggo-like symptoms...it's the progesterone most likely.

franny- yay for moving forward!

lauren1171- thanks for your words of encouragement...means a lot!

renee- that is a terrific 2nd beta #...very happy for you!

didi- how is everything going?

sunshine and stars- how are you sweetie?

tiger- did you decide to go for your beta today? thinking of you.

rebecca- did your re adjust your meds? hopefully everything has improved.

teresa- good luck w/ starting lupron today!

amaut- just a few more days of lupron. do you start stims after that?

missmerrilee- has af showed her evil face yet?

afm...supposed to get the fert report today anytime between 1 & 4...so nervous. we've always had a low fert report. 1st cycle- 25 eggs, 20 mature, 4 fertilized/ 2nd cycle- 21 eggs, 14 mature, 2 fertilized. i hope this time will be good. we're doing something different this time. they are fertilizing half of my eggs w/ fresh ejaculate & the other half with the tesa sample. last time they didn't use the tesa sample (dh was PISSED he went through it for no reason!) b/c the embryologist said that none of the sperm were moving. but according to the urologist they should've been used b/c there are many times when the sperm in the tesa sample are still immature & not moving, but can still fertilize an egg. also, last time the tesa was done the same day as me er. this time the urologist's suggestion was to do the tesa the day before, which may give the sperm some time to "wake up & mature a little." hopefully, this will all help the fertilization.

Franny - Welcome back and YAY for starting!

Jenna - Ugh. I'm so sorry. It's like a constant reminder for you. Hopefully, we can get the progesterone out of your system.

Klinger - OMG! I'm so sorry! Take it easy and heal so we can get this started again.

Fitz and Tammy - It's TOOOOO early!!

Renee - Congrats!

Ester - I can hardly wait! Any minute now. Interesting about the TESA sample. It'll be cool to see if the sperm actually matured over a day.

Lou - I'm so excited for your results. The anticipation is killing me. I don't think I have any symptoms. My bed rest is over in a couple of hours (and by that I mean I'll move to my couch, I think). I did have an episodde last night where the chicken I was eating smelled like horses. You know that gross horse poop/hay smell, but I think it's just the progesterone. Anyhow, I had to throw out my salad, which drove my DH crazy. Other than that, I'm just chillin', which makes me nervous. What am I supposed to feel?

Ester -- Are you using ICSI to fertilize the eggs? I am really hoping you get a great fert report. I know how nervous you must be. I never get a ton of eggs, I mean, 7 mature this cycle was my highest. But I guess I'm lucky that with ICSI 6/7 fert. And here you've got the opposite problem! Here we both are.... nervous and waiting for that call between 1 and 4pm! I soooo hope it's good news for both of us.

Lauren319 -- You really crack me up! "You know, that horse poop/hay smell"...hahahaha. And how the heck did you eat that chicken if it smelled like THAT?!?!?

AFM -- I'm in waiting for beta hell. Sucks ASS. A vendor brought in Chinese for lunch today. My fortune cookie said "You will receive good news today". I am so hoping that's right!

I didn't eat it! It smelled and tasted so bad to me I couldn't even just take the chicken out. I made my DH make me a whole new salad, which he was so pissed about, but I explained that he didn't have a vagina and therefore had it easy.

Ester -- 18 eggs--- thats great!!

Cakes -- Sorry about your slow rising beta....maybe youre just taking your time developing carefully. Sending you well wishes!

Klinger -- I cannot believe how selfish I have been! You have been through it! I am so sorry!!! Sending you great big hugs!!

kbillsy -- I'm right there with you with that bfn result. Its horrible. What do you think you will be doing next? I talked to DH and he is ready to try again - - miraculously !!

lou -- waiting to hear on your beta.....!!

AFM -- Had a huge mental breakdown with dh and sent my last ivf update email to all my sils...all 6 of them....who were all rooting for us. How depressing! DH is ready to go through it all again provided we have a good consult with the dr. I didnt ask my beta level if there even was one, and I wasn't sure I even wanted to schedule a follow up consult either at that time of that dreaded news.... DH came home and left our business which is totally something he does not do ever. He was totally concerned that I was going to fall into some great depression. I was concerned for him doing the same. We talked about us doing this all again and he is ready, maybe waiting a month I guess. Concentrate on healing and getting a little more stable in our finances. Our lives are unimaginable for most of you who I am guessing have atleast one partner who is a 9-5 breadwinner with some stability. Our life is one huge rollercoaster. I may start up my Massage Therapy Spa business again just to get some money into our lives. I did that before we started all of this and before I married into body shop business ownership! Some medical insurance would be nice too!!
hugs,
