Ang-- sorry to hear about your BFN

Dakota-- wow.....Texas! Do you want to move? Thats great news for your husband. I hate moving though.

Well Jack is 17 months old tomorrow! Where has the time gone? He is so busy! And he fell and hit another table today! The child falls all the time. He always has some huge welt on his head! It looks like I beat him. His legs and cuts and bruises! Its awful! And tonight was a good one....he really hit hard....this will take at least 2 weeks to heal. Anyone else having these problems?

Neffi - Yep, we have the same issue here. I sign at least 2 forms a week at Audrey's school for her biting other children or falling and smacking her head on something! DH would like to put her in a bubble, but I think it's just part of growing up. They'd rather run than walk and at least for Audrey, she rarely looks where she's going..is always trying to multi-task :) It's hard to believe how fast they've grown and how old they're getting, time certainly gets away from us. Glad to hear little Jack is doing great though, he's absolutely precious!

Well I'm about to start a new job, so DH and I decided to take a quick trip to Cabo for a week and try to get some sleep :) Planning to do nothing but lay oun the beach, read several books, and have lots of cocktails. We've pushed our next IVF cycle to end of August, so hoping we're successful this time around. If not, we may give it one more try and then move on to other avenues.

Audrey is doing great and seems to learn a new word every day. She actually said the word seriously yesterday, was so darn cute. She's really just mimicking everything we way, but it is awesome..well, at least until she says a word that mommy shouldn't have said to begin with  Other than that, she just got her first molor, and is working on a 2nd molar as well as 2 additional bottom teeth near the front. It's making for some long nights, guessing she's really uncomfortable..poor little munchkin.

OK, enough of the chatting on by me. Hope everyone is doing well and happy summer!

Wow, I cant believe I have been MIA for a month, I am usually really good about coming on here every week or so to see if anyone has posted.

Anyway, DH's job is in Houston, so we will be looking around Houston, but no idea where to start. We've had alot of people who tell us where they think and it seems most people say the same area's. I am excited, I just wish it would get here sooner!

Angram- Is TX a part of the mandatory states for ins to provide infertility coverage? I remember when we first started IVF I looked it up and there was about 16 states at that time and I heard there was more added since, but I cant find the darn website. I hope all is well with Audrey and she came out well past her 15 month shots? I hope you had a fab time in Cabo!!!

Neffi- yes, I want to move, I do not like GA and have not since we moved here 7 years ago! Any news on the adaption?

Well, it must be this age thing because Gracie looks like she gets beaten as well. She is non stop covered in bumps, scrapes and bruises, but the girl has fun! DH gets mad at me when she does something silly and hurts herself because I laugh at her. Like running full force, while looking behind her just to turn around at the right time to run smack into the wall.

We have discovered Gracie is afraid of big dogs. I hate that, but ever since we put our dogs down we havent got anymore and dont want to anytime soon, that was just so hard. We have been used to big dogs for so long that it kills us that she is scared to death of them.

She is learning new thigns like crazy and is so stinking cute. She is such a happy baby its unreal.

Hope all is well with everyone!!

Dakota - Nope, TX does not have mandatory coverage of IVF..in fact, most fertility coverage in our state is horrible. My company has a $3500 lifetime benefit (used that after 2 IUI's, which left nothing for the other 7 IUI's and 2 IVF's :)). Good luck though, his company may have great benefits! Audrey's 15 month checkup was great, 95% height and 90% weight..she's doing awesome! Cabo was so WONDERFUL. I pretty much slept the entire first day, was so nice. We rented this huge king-size covered bed on the beach and I slept there with a few cocktails for about 4 hours :) We had such a nice and relaxing time, totally needed it after not sleeping much the past couple of years.

Sorry to hear Gracie is scared of big dogs, maybe she'll grow out of it? Our german shepard is 14 and Audrey absolutely loves her, so not looking forward to the next stage...will be so darn sad. Isn't it crazy how fast they grow and how much they've learned in such a short period of time! Glad Gracie is doing great and they are just so stinking cute!!! :)

Angram- Cabo sounds awesome!! I would so love to get away and relax, oh and sleep! Gracie STTN, but I dont. My hormones never went bacl to normal, so I still get up every night at 3am and am up all night long.

Gracie has grown drascially in the last month. I am curious at what her height will be at 18mo check up. She is talking up a storm. I have no idea what she is saying, but she is having a conversation all the time, with someone? She will be playing at the chair, all by herself, just a talking away. She is not talking sentences yet, like everyone keeps asking, which I dont understand why because I read that comes along around 24 months? SHe puts two words together on occassion, like night-night mommy...aaahhhh, I love it!!!

DH's start date in Houston, TX is Sept 1st of 2011, we will start the relocation process in spring 2011. I am excited and wish it would be sooner!

I hope all is well with everyone, it has become a ghost town on here!!

Seems like everyone is pretty much in the same boat with whats going on with the little ones! Jack is 19 months next week! this is so crazy! The time is flying! We had our 18 month check up today. Still only 5% for weight at just under 22 lbs. The child never stops running, I dont know how he could ever gain an ounce. His head and height are about 25%. He is a little peanut but right on track with everything he should be doing....including throwing fits! He is such a little devil lately. He does everything he shouldn't and then looks at me with this grin! He is something else. And he climbs everything. I can't turn my head for a minute. He threw a fit at the drs appt today, it was so embrassing. I guess those appts will only get worse.

No news on the adoption yet, we are just patiently waiting to be chosen by a birth mom.

Dakota-- glad to hear that you are excited about the move!

Ang--Cabo sounds great! DH and I are excited to get away to a wedding in Johnstown, PA! How pathetic is that! We haven't even stayed in a hotel since our honeymoon!

Hi All - been a while since I've been on, life is just crazy these days. Started a new job a couple of months ago and working way too much. Still pick Audrey up by 4:30, but then start working again as soon as she goes to bed...the insanity has got to stop :) DH went to Europe on a business trip and was gone for 9 days..other than being a bit scared at night, everything went great. Audrey was such a good little girl, so she made the single mom life so much easier. Audrey has gotten so big, just had her 18 month checkup and was 27lbs and 34". She's such a big talker (no surprise, she's mine :)) and started throwing lovely temper tantrums, gotta love that. We've been through one failed IVF attempt and the 2nd one last week had to be turned into an IUI, only made 2 eggs. Keep your fingers crossed it worked! If not, we'll try one more round of IVF next month.

Babyloves - Nice to meet you, could not possibly imagine how crazy your life is with twins! Would love to have you join our board, welcome!

Neffi - Glad to hear little Jack is doing well. Keeping you guys in my thoughts on the adoption, hope you're chosen soon!! Hope the wedding is/was fun, and you enjoyed your time away :)

Dakota - Sorry to hear you're not sleeping, I'm pretty sure I fall asleep before my head even hits the pillow. I think after all the time of not sleeping, my body will get what it can, wherever and whenever. Happy to hear you guys are moving to TX and hope the move goes great! I lived in Houston for several years growing up, and still have tons of friends and family there. I really like it, other than the humidity.

Well, I'm going to enjoy my last few hours of the holiday weekend. Hope everyone else is well. Talk to you soon.

Howdy! Boy, has things been really crazy here! The day Gracie turned 18months old, all hell broke loose!!!! At nap time I went to put her to bed and she started crying, which is not normal. So I thought, we'll she must not be tired. That night, holy crap. She FREAKED out when I put her to bed. Histarical!!!! I let her cry for a few mins thinking she would quit, lay down and go to sleep, NOPE, that made it worse, she started throwing up and shaking, its was just horrible. She was so frantic!!! I didnt know what else to do, so I took her to bed with me. The 2nd she layed in bed, she was out. I put her back in her crib then. She slept until 6am and woke up frantic again. Now, almost a month later, I still cant get to to sleep in her bed. What we are doing, she is taking naps on her bedroom floor and at night she falls asleep on her floor then I put her in her crib, but 3-4 hours later she wakes up frantic again. In the end, I end up taking her into bed with us. I would just let her cry it out, but she gets so frantic, she starts throwing up. The Dr said then just go in there, clean it up and start all over again. My DH refuses this, he says its cruel. So what we are going to try is turning her crib into a toddler bed. Then I can lay down with her until she falls asleep, sneak out and continue this, hoping its a faze. My goal is to get her out of our bed!!! She is such a crazy sleeper, DH nor I are getting any sleep, which is normal for me, but not he. Other than that, Gracie is doing good. She is speaking over 60+ words now. Not quite sentenses yet, she puts "Its" or "Thats" in front of words, but mostly its jsut two word frazes, like thank you or night-night mommie. She talks "her talk" non stop. Today she was walking around the house with her cell phone just talking up a storm and every once in a while I would hear "ashley" (her cousin who is 3 months older), so I asked her "Are you talking to Ashley" and she yelled "its ashley"!! I thought that was so cute!!! She understands poop to an extent. She will say poop when she does it, but she also says poop when she farts really loud...lol. At Gracie's 18 mo check up she was 27lbs and 32 3/4 inches.

Angram- congrats on your new job!! I hope things have slowed down for you since you last posted. Any news on your IUI? I wish you the best!!!

I dont know if anyone remembers me telling my sisters story? Anyway, the first pregnancy ended in m/c, but she is pregnant again, with twins!!! She is 10 1/5 weeks now. I am so excited!!

How are everyone's LO's when it comes to the pacifier, potty training or toddler bed?

Hi Dakota - we went through something similar about a month ago, but Audrey's seemed to settle down and is back to sleeping normal in her bed. She would not let us put her down at bedtime and was totally freaking out, so she slept with us a couple of times but it wasn't nearly what you're going through with Gracie...I'm so sorry. She was doing the same thing when we dropped her off at school and the pedi said it's separation anxiety. Some days are better than others and I hope Gracie gets through it soon. Maybe the big girl bed will make her feel better, I sure hope so. Audrey still uses a pacifier at night and during naptime (and sometimes randomly throughout the day), but our pedi said it's not a huge deal and not worth the battle until around 2 yrs old. Audrey is telling us when she poops and pee's in her diaper, but it's right after the fact. I figure that's a good start, so we'll go from there. They're working on using the potty in her class, so hopefully between school and home she'll figure it out. She likes to strip down and sit on the potty but isn't sure what to do from there :) She loves her bed so we haven't talked yet about converting it over to the toddler. I figure the longer I can keep her in there the better. Other than that the only issue we're having is major tantrums! I need to start time out, but haven't figured out where to do it and so for now we just ignore the tantrum (if at home) and she eventually calms down. Audrey's 18 month check up went well and she's growing like a weed..27lbs and 34 inches. So exciting about your sister, I wish her the best with this pregnancy!!

Well I started my period last Wednesday (pregancy test was scheduled for Friday, but didn't go), so we figured we weren't pregnant and have been working with our IVF nurse to start the next cycle. I started BCP's on Sunday but have felt a bit odd. I decided to take a HPT tonight and it was positive! I'm concerned it's an ectopic pregnancy, since I had a very heavy period, so I'm going in tomorrow for b/w to see how the numbers look. I'm cautiously optimistic and hoping for the best. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

HI everyone!

Ang-- well? I just read your last post and am dying to know if you are pregnant!

Dakota-- I'm sorry to hear about the sleeping issues. How is it going? Is she in a toddler bed now?

As for us......Jack is doing great! He sleeps like a champ, but I am taking his pacifier next weekend so we will see how that goes. He still isn't really talking much, but from what I read....boys are usually later. He understands everything I tell him and just speaks in his own language. He throws fits a lot, but it is getting better. Time our works sometimes and sometimes he laughs and goes running to the chair! So who knows.
No news on the adoption yet.....just waiting.

Hi Neffi - well we've been on a rollercoaster, but it finally came to an end on Friday and we've confirmed it's not a viable pregnancy. I'm 7 weeks along, but everything just quick growing. I go in for a D&C on Tuesday, so I'm ready to get that over with and start again. Once my body is back and ready, we'll start our last round of IVF and hope for the best.

Glad to hear Jack is doing great and sleeping like a champ. I'm going to hold off on the pacifier for now, so let me know how that goes and good luck :) We haven't tried time out yet, but know it's right around the corner. I need to find a good place to do it in the house. Good luck on the adoption and keep us posted. Can't wait to hear the wonderful news when it does happen!

Other than that, we had to put my sweet dog Sadie to sleep a couple of weeks ago..it's been a really rough few weeks in our house! I'm so ready for some good news to come about, but am so thankful for my beautiful and healthy family. Audrey is doing great, so I really can't ask for more.

It's like coming back to an old friend to read all the posts on here. I've missed hearing all the news, just haven't been getting on the forum for the longest time.
Glad to hear that everyone's lo's are growing big and doing great. Sorry to hear about the sad news too, and I hope that the bfn's become bfp's that stick.
Dakota - we are still sharing our bed with CJ and Amy....thank goodness it's kingsize that's all! It was just CJ as he was still nursing for the longest time, but Amy ended up with a couple of bad ear infns and so I ended up putting her in our bed (couldn't leave CJ as he would cry instead.....), and there she stayed.
I love it! DH is not so keen, but we have a spare room that works until sleep time if u get my drift......The babies go to bed around 830pm, and occasionally wake before we go to bed, but most nights they sleep and just stir as we get in....they move around in the night which can be a bit disturbing but I love the snuggles we get to have. I know it has to end sometime, but I"ll miss it when it does!
We are flying back to England this Friday for 2 weeks - one baby per lap, so wish us luck, it's an 8 hour flight argh!
They are growing so big and gosh they are so cute, Amy has started telling CJ night night and kissing him when they are going to sleep, and he is just the sweetest little boy. Last count he was around 34 inches and 28 lbs, and Amy 32 inches and 23 lbs.

Welcome to babyloves, I remember seeing you on the forum.....how is life with twins for you?
Try to get back on here more often,
miss you guys and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! x :D
