lou- they never told me the grade but said they only freeze top quality blasts. I only had one frozen it made the thaw and had a chemical pregnancy. RE gave me 55% chance with the 1. You can see UCONN sucess rates for frozen transfers i think the web site is SART or something like that and you can choose any clinic you want to see their sucess rates. Does your clinic provide sucess rates? I personally think that having 2 blasts is great chance and its way easier on your body.

lauren- when was your transfer?

Lauren - When I got my positive I tested at 9 days post transfer. And 4 days after. The line got darker each day.

I POAS today even though I expected a negative. It makes me feel better about quitting the Crinone. It's definitely AF, and I hope she leave fast. I figure that the whole lining of my uterus fell out last night between midnight and 6, so it can't last too long lol.

Lou - I don't want to be old with no family either! That sucks thinking that. Our FET will work for both of us. The only time I ever got a positive was from the FET anyway. I don't even want to think about it not working! I think just knowing there is another chance is why I am not upset. I am more aggravated at how much weight I have gained for absolutely no reason.

Hi everyone, sorry for not being connected these days! We are moving abroad in a few weeks and it´s just being crazy. So on top of everything I am also now worried how they would handle the treatments in this other country!!!!!
We went yesterday to the doctor and good news: I´m finally suppressed which I expected because I have been bleeding for 7 days now... They say it´s not a period but it surelly felt like one.
So now yesterday and today still on 10 units of Lupron and then from Thursday until 8/29 we decrease it to 5 units and at the same time I have to take 2 pills of estradiol. The worst is that (if everything goes well on my 8/30 visit) 9/2 I start with the vaginal progesterone and its 3 times a day! That sucks!

I am now going to read through all the emssages of everyone to get an update of how everyone is doing!

Franny - I am glad you are starting so soon! Are you doing Lupron, or starting Gonal F?

My nice nurse is on vacation all week! That's why yesterday I had to speak to that jerk who claimed my RE does not allow early betas. Well I just called again and talked to a different much nicer nurse. I explained that my uterus fell out so I know it's negative, and how it would make my life alot easier if I could go tomorrow AM and get on the pill after hearing my BFN. She said I absolutely could go in tomorrow....no problem! Great because I can not wait to use a tampon (if there is even anything left by then). Don't you love when you have to speak with the miserable nurses who have no compassion?

Lou, I was reading your posting and first of all sorry for the results. Regarding the success rates with FET we had the same issue before this cycle. We have two frosties (day 5) and didn´t know whether it was better to use this or start a new cycle. We discussed it with our doctor and she told us that the rates for FET are now very similar to those of a fresh cycle, so here we are trying the FET. The con about the FET is that, at least for me, it takes longer than a fresh one but it is a lot less agressive. You really don´t feelt blunted or tired or anything like that. Actually I really don´t feel anything from the Lupron (and the nurse told me yesterday that there are even less efects with the estradiol) so I would give it a try with the FET and I am sure this time it will work!.

Moorebaby please let us know how it goes on Friday!

amaut -- Thanks! That's encouraging to hear. I am definitely going to use my two blasts as a FET since we are cash pay it's much cheaper than a fresh IVF cycle.

dys -- wow, that is a really high success rate for your frosties! I don't know what my RE will say. My clinic does provide success rates and they are very good for IVF cycles, but it doesn't seem they do many FET cycles in women my age. Seems the success rate for FET's are in the 40% range overall, but higher for women under 35, which I am not. So I have to admit, that concerns me a bit.

Lauren1171 -- I am with you on the weight gain. My pants don't fit so I'm not only fat, I'm also not pregnant!

Es --Thinking of you for ET tomorrow!

Franny -- Yay for baby in a box! When do you expect ER/ET this time? I don't know if my FET will be close to yours but I sure hope we can be cycle buds.

My transfer was 3 days ago and I'm already going effing crazy. I'm not gonna make it, you guys.

For all those talking about FET, I recently looked at statistics (at least for us her in So Cal) and the results are really getting up there. Also, I've said this before, but a really close friend of mine got pregnant on her first FET and now has beautiful twins. If this doesn't work, my DH and I have already decided to do FET with our 2 frozen embabies - and implant both. I understand that the chances are lower and it may be a waste of money in the long run, but if it works, it'll save so much money and so much time and effort in doing all the medications again. It's definitely something to think about. I feel like everything is such a gamble at this point.

P.S. I'm so effing sick of pineapple.

tiger & lauren1171 - I'm so sorry these cycles gave you those horrible BFNs.

ester - Wishing you a great transfer tomorrow!!

franny - So excited to hear you'll be getting started next week!

lou - I'm glad you're going to do the FET. We'll be here to cheer you on!

cakes - I'm so sorry you're going through beta hell. It's a horrible place to be so I hope you get some good news or resolution really soon.

And thanks to everyone for all the well wishes after this e/p. I'm still pretty sore & look like I have a bowling ball in my abdomen but the swelling should get better over the next few days. I do my follow-up with the RE next Wednesday so I'm looking forward to that appointment to be able to talk to him about the surgery (without anesthesia clouding my brain) and start talking about our next steps.

Klinger - I hope you feel better soon!

Lauren - Were you a 3 day transfer or a 5? I hope it works this time so you can save your two other boys for when you decide to have another! You could start testing Sunday. It may be early, but if you have enough tests go for it.

Cakes - I know what it's like to have sucky betas and I feel for you!

My follow up with RE is on the 30th. I just texted my DH that I want to put all 5 frozen ones in so there are none left. And if that does not work I am buying another dog and looking into getting a baby from DSS or whatever it's called! My dogs mother is having puppies in 2 weeks and I want one. He is a Chihuahua and the cutest thing in the world! My DH just replied ya we should! I don't know which he is agreeing to lol. He has never disagreed with any IVF decision of mine, so probably the dog.

Ester...Good Luck today!!! Praying for you PUPO!!

Dys...Congratulations!!! That is awesome and you got your BFP very early too!

Tiger...Nooo!! I am so so sorry! This is sooo unfair. I really had high hopes for you this month, too! Big Hugs.

Ryann...Sounds like your principal is very nice...that is always a plus. So excited that you are finally getting started!

Rebecca...Grow Follies Grow!! Any idea when ER will be now?

Kbillsy...Ask your doctor about the microdose lupron protocol...it is for older girls and girls with DOR. I highly recommend it. Zach wouldnt be here without it.

Lou...Your blasts looked perfect and I honestly feel that you will end up pregnant with twins with them. I actually have 2 friends in real life who just transferred 2 FET blasts and both are pregnant with twins. Ive always been told that 5 day blasts and FET's have wonderful odds. When are you getting started again? Hang in there. Big Hugs.

Klinger...I cant imagine going through everything you have. You are a very strong woman. Glad you're follow-up isnt too far off.

Chris...I love that you put your quote back in your siggy. At a time that I needed to see it the most...and you came through for me again! So glad that you are looking into donor eggs. You are one of the strongest most inspirational women that I know.

Didi...Congratulations!!! I cant believe you were holding out on us! That is awesome news!!! I love your Chutes and Ladder analogy. Sorry about the subchorionic bleed...they are so common in IVF. Yayyy for a heartbeat!

Amanda...I'd love to see that video...how fun! PM for my FB name. Glad you're having a great time!

Lauren319...You cracked me up w/your vagina comment. Stay out of crazy town woman! Are you 9 or 10dpo?
I agree with Lou...just do it...but keep in mind that it may be too early and us a FRER (First Response Early Result 6 days sooner) test. You might be better off waiting till Saturday to test though. Good Luck!
My DH makes me pineapple smooties...yummm! I dont get sick of those. lol

Miyaya...How did your follow up consult go? Glad you are checking everything out and still trying to get answers. You had your foster meeting yesterday too? Wow! You had a very busy day. Keep us posted.

Cakes...I'm so sorry that you are in beta hell. Please know that I am praying very hard for you! Good Luck tomorrow!

Franny...Oh that's right when you said you were back in NY...I was thinking you were home...I forgot. Glad you are having a great trip. So happy to hear that you will be starting everything in 1 week!!!

Amaut...Wow! Moving abroad? That sounds awesome and crazy right now! lol Will you be able to finish this cycle here? Where are you moving to? Best Wishes!

Lauren1171...Good Luck today! You know I am praying sooo hard for you that you will get the shock of your life! I am with you on the weight gain...pisses me off big time. Grrrrr. 5 babies and another dog! lol Too funny! I am actually thinking that if I have 5 next time...that they are all going back, too. Obviously, 4 embryos didnt work for me.

AFM...Poas yesterday at 12dpo and BFN. Poas today at 13dpo and BFN. I'm pretty sure it is over for me. I just want to get started again and am pissed that I have to wait till Monday for a beta. I'm going to call today and beg for an earlier beta. I shouldnt have to wait till I am 17dpo...no one else waits that long.

Ester - good luck with your ET today! Can't wait to hear how the embies are doing!!

Lauren319 - poas and let us know how it goes!! May be a little early but you never know - good luck girl, fingers are crossed for you!!

Lou - I think your FET of your 2 great frosties is going to work - persistance pays off and this time it's going to be your time!!

Lauren 1171 - so glad they were able to get you in earlier so you won't be in limbo anymore. It's amazing how some nurses are just not very nice - I don't know how they ended up in such a service oriented profession. Maybe she was just having a bad day. Either way - glad it got resolved. Let us know how it goes today. You must be down to final packing for your trip - have a great vacation!!! Sounds like yo might be getting a puppy and a baby or two when you get back :)

Tammy - thanks for the suggestion on microdose lupron - I'll ask my RE about that to see what he thinks. Assuming he calls me back sometime :( You're still PUPO - I think you will get a positive HPT tomorrow. Would be much better if they would just do your beta - Monday does seem awful late. Good luck!!

Dys - congrats!! I am so happy to hear some positive results! Very exciting!!! It gives us all the hope we need to keep trying!

AFM - Still waiting for the dr to call me back. Yesterday was really busy for me at work so I didn't get a chance to call the office but I will today. Just want some closure on what happened last cycle and a plan for how we are going to proceed. Started taking royal jelly, dhea and wheat grass yesterday. The wheat grass will be an acquired taste I think. I am feeling a bit more energetic today. Hopefully it will have some positive impact on our fertility too!
