Kizmet - Omg, omg, omg!!! I am thrilled for you. You have no idea how happy I just got when I checked the boards this morning and read your last post. CONGRATULATIONS on BFP! See I told you the spotting could be implantation bleeding. I know what your clinic said, but I trust my RE he does a ton of research on the studies and he said you won't get a period til you go off the meds.

Melo - Just a few more days and I think you should hold some hope. You never know, just look at Kizmet. For getting back to work I know just what you mean. This is the first time I have cycled in the summer. As a teacher being off for the summer I have way too much time on my hands to overanalyze every ache, cramp, etc. With my other cycles I would take the day of transfer and the next day off of work then return on the third day. Being at work allows us to get our minds off the situation at least for a little while.

Melmar - How are you doing? Good luck tomorrow. Please keep us posted.

Blair - It's finally just about here for you. I can't remember if you said already, but how many are you transferring?

Itsmyturn - Good luck with your 2nd beta today?

Yarnista - When is your beta? Have you POAS?

AFM - All is well in Jersey. I picked my daughter up this morning for the first time. She has been treating me differently ever since my transfer, I guess she realizes mommy is being different. I am always the one who baths her, puts her down for her nap, changes her, etc. Now my husband or mom are bathing her, picking her up all the time and chasing her. She is kind of giving me the cold shoulder and it breaks my heart. That's why this morning I said screw it. Even though I want another child, I can't neglect the one I have. Its not fair to her you know.

Yesterday I felt pretty crampy all afternoon, hopefully that is a good sign. With the other pregnancies I have had I never felt diffently during my 2ww so I am not expecting too much this time. I have also never experienced implantation bleeding before and kind of wish like I did just so I could say, "oh, maybe it's working." Oh, well you can't have everything. Anyway, since I have never POAS during my 2ww, and I think I will this time. When do you ladies think I should start? I was thinking 8 days past my 6dt.

Hey girls!
Congrats Kizmet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, so happy for you. Hope the rest of you are doing okay hanging in there waiting for your beta. Mine is on 8/30 we did our transfer was on 8/17. I feel Like I'm going a little out of my mind trying to stay busy though. I POAS this morning and shouldn't have because it's too soon, pysching myself out, of course it was BFN. Now I can wait a little longer.
I've had it with the progesterone shots, seems like they are way more painful than they were 3 years ago with DD. On the upside my beret I'm making right now is coming out nice and I'm starting a sweet sweater for DD in purple. DD is potty training right now and doing great! Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend :)

Oh gosh Kizmet-congratulations!! That is unbelievable!! I am sooo happy for you...you must be over the moon with glory!

Jane-you seem to be doing well and hanging in there. I also couldn't not pick up my children-you made it longer than I. I was laying on the floor the night of the transfer heloing DH dress them after their shower and play with them. It is just too hard not to-the only thing I really did was not go up and down my stairs for 3 days. But I agree-transferring over the summer stinks-way too much time on my hands. I really did not know what to do with myself.

Blair-your time is coming-you must be soo excited to finally be nearing the transfer day.

Melo-how are you hanging in there? If this doesn't work for you, I forget, do you have more frozen embies?

AFM-POAS this morning...hoping beyond hope-but still a BFN. Was going to go to the gym, but my husband talked me out of it asking me if I wanted to chance it one day before the official blood test. I tried to tell him that 11dp3dt is time enough...but he talked me out of it. At least I know he cares. I have been the moodiest b!#ch lately. I even got mad at my one year old son for going in my closet and pulling down all my shoes...I felt terribly after. I am usually the patient, calm one with the kids, so I am pretty sure my DH realized how badly I wanted this one-even though I made it out that if it failed I would be happy with the family we have (which I truly am...but right now, have kinda lost sight of that if ya know what I mean). Well, I hate a pity party, but I think I am going to throw one for myself tonight, as tomorrow night I will be in a 4 hour CPR and First Aid recerification class from 6-10 so I can coach tennis again this year at school. Ugh! I would rather poke my eyes out with a hot poker!

Anyway-I am thinking of all of you..and am so happy for the BFP we have on here!! It is so exciting to see good things happening!

Kizmet- congrats!!! So excited for you. I'm glad you stayed positive and didn't give up hope even with the emotions involved with all the meds. Thanks so much for posting the pics...I don't know why I was having so many problems with that.

Jersey- thanks! I like to think we make a great couple too. He's a great guy and I couldn't have found someone better. You have a very nice looking family! How's the 2ww going for you? Starting testing friday?

Yarnista- you also have a great looking family. You should keep updating you blog. It was great looking through all the great stuff you've done. Hope all is well with you.

Itsmyturn- what a great 1st beta. I can't wait to hear about the first ultrasound in sept! I am guessing that will be around when my 2ww is over.

Melo/Melmar- how are you all doing?

AFM- same stuff. Went to the state fair today...nothing too exciting. Just trying to stay busy until tuesday morning. Question to all- what size needles do you all use for PIO shots? I have tried a few different sizes but want to know if you all have certain sizes you prefer. Just let me know. Hope everyone is doing well.

Blair - I don't have a choice in the needles, it is what my doctor orders for me. My needles are 22 1/2, 1 1/2 inch syringes. The 22 1/2 is the gage and the 1 1/2 is the needle length. I am not going to lie to you they hurt like hell, however they are big enough for that heavy oil and it doesn't take that long for DH to deposit the PIO in my sore butt. What size are you using?

jersey- Well my NP had originally ordered 22g 1 1/2 inch needles but when we met with the RN before the first transfer she said I was small enough that I could probably use a smaller needle. Especially since sometimes I have to give myself the shot. I think she gave me 25g 1 inch needles- which felt sooooo much better. So we got some at the local pharmacy (i think 10 cents each) to hold us over. Then with this cycle I told the NP and she didnt believe me that I could get the Progesterone pushed through a 25g. So she still ordered 23g 1 1/2 inch needles. I honestly prefer the 1 inch and can walk the next day but didnt know if that meant it wasnt working like it should.

Melmar - Good luck today, I am thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed.

Blair - My RE said you want the 1 1/2 needles because it has to reach something or other under your skin. They truly do kill though.

Jersey- I guess I should ask tomorrow when I go what the RE and NP think about using the 1 inch vs the 1 1/2 inch. I would obviously prefer to be able to walk and use the smaller needle, but if its not doing what its supposed to then I will switch. Oh I cant wait to tell this baby how much we went through to make sure it got here. How is your 2ww going? I never actually answered but we are doing either 2 or 3 embryos depending on quality. Fingers crossed.

melmar-Best of luck to you today. Keep us posted!!

It's official girls-BFN for me-doctor just called. I pretty much had a break down yesterday, crying and just wanting to be by myself, so I am dealing with it okay for now. Listen, in the scheme of things, I know how lucky I am...I have three beautiful children, a loving husband, good job, health-so I am ahead of the game. I am just going to refocus my attention again to what I have instead of what I want, like I tell my four year old all the time. I have an appointment with the doctor next Thursday and will see if there is anything we can do other than another IVF procedure-I have had it with them...way too many. I will see what he says...

Melo-I am here for you..no words can cover the sadness you are feeling, but I am listening whenever you need.

Kizmet and itsMyTurn-I am so truly happy for you girls!! Can't wait to hear your beta numbers tomorro Kizmet.

Jane and Blair-it is getting close now...good luck tomorrow Blair! BTW-I use the 221/2 inch also, but only find it painful for the first couple of shots-then I just get used to it...except if DH is mad and picks a ouchy spot!
