Fall 2010 Cycle Group

Post by klinger13 »

Hi everyone! Just starting a thread for those of us cycling in the Fall 2010. If you're cycling (or hoping to cycle) sometime this fall, we hope you'll join us!

I've just come over from the Summer Cycle Group thread. DH & I were originally going to do IVF, then decided to try IUI w/ injectables but before we could start that we got pregnant. Unfortunately it was another e/p - I've lost 1 ovary and both tubes in the last 6+ months so it's definitely onto IVF for us. Just waiting for Wednesday to get here to meet with the RE to discuss my recent e/p surgery and IVF plans going forward. Fingers crossed, we'll be able to start the process late Sept/early October.

Once we get some folks onboard the thread, I'll put a list together so we can keep track of where everyone is in the process. Wishing everyone lots of luck and sticky BFPs!

amanda- glad to see this thread started. i will most definitely be stalking a lot of you here...you, franny, lou, tammy, lauren, & many of the other ladies from the summer cycle group who unfortunately had cycles that didn't work out....& rooting you all on! i'm the crazy 2ww right now & praying & hoping for a bfp, but if things don't work out, i still wouldn't be able to jump back in b/c dh had a tesa, & according to him, the urologist said that he'd have to wait 6 months. however, i think dh maybe misunderstood him..i think the urologist meant if he wanted to do another tesa, but not to work w/ fresh ejaculate. does anyone know anything about that? we do have frozen sperm, so even if dh is right, i guess i can use the frozen sperm. either way, w/ school starting for me, i wouldn't want to cycle in september & probably not in october. it would be nice if i can cycle in december & have the er & et fall during the 1 & 1/2 weeks off i have for x-mas break. this of course all depends on af...i know i can take bcp's to "schedule" it, but i don't know if i'd want to...don't really like them, but it's not a definite no. i know i'm only 3dpt, so i have a long way to go until i found if this worked, but i guess i'm just planning "in case."

Ester - I'm hoping you get that BFP so you don't have to plan your next cycle :D. And I'm glad you'll be cheering us fall ladies on!

Hopefullintime - Welcome! And it's nice to have another person going into their first IVF cycle (like me)!! We had some ladies on the antagonist protocol in the Summer Cycle Group thread and I'm sure some will chime in here. I learned a lot of "what to expect" from the process by being on that thread. I'm hoping I'll get some info from the doc this week as to what protocol & timeframe to expect...we shall see.

Best of luck Ester please god you will get the BFP.

Thank you Amanda, its good to see I am not the only one on a first attempt here :) I have decided to go with 2 eggs transfered on day 2 rather than waiting for day 5 blastocyst transfer in the hope that 2 eggs will be better than 1, I have had the pre period scan on Thursday which showed I had 2 large cysts on each ovarie and loads of small ones so if they do not burst by day 2 scan I will have to wait another month which is becoming very frustrating as it has taken 6 years to get this far, I was suposed to start sept 09 but 2 neg smear tests put it back a year as I had to have colposcopy done, please god the AF starts tomorrow and all is well,

I wish you all the luck in the world

Hi everyone! I have been posting in the September thread, but since AF is now 2 weeks late (no chance of BFP barring bonafide miracle, alas) it's looking more like October for us.

Hi Girls,

Looks like I'll be joining you this fall as well. I'm planning a FET for October 15th. Currently I'm on BCP's and start Lupron 9/7/10. My baseline appt is 9/17/10. Since my last BFN, I've been really down and I just can't seem to shake it. I'm starting to wonder if this will ever work. I feel lucky to have 2 frosties, so I'm praying they are the ones.

Looking forward to having a great group with a ton of BFP's this time around!

klinger13 - Thanks for the miracle wishes, but my husband would had to have grown vas deferens! :) He was born without them, so IVF w/ICSI is literally the only way kids are going to happen for us.

Hello everyone,
I'm a newbie here. I have been checking on this board for 2 years and today I think I will post.
Lou, I am in the same clinic with you and I will be doing FET in sept but only with 1 embie which is from my previous cycle.
This past cycle really brought me down. For the whole month I could not concetrate on anything. I feel guity about work b/c I really didn't do as much as I'm supposed to. Just hope this FET will work.
Wish everyone good luck.
later.

Moorebaby – That’s right, DH would only have to wait 6 months if he was going to do another TESA. It’s because each time a TESA is done, it can affect the testosterone level in the male, so they want to wait a number of months. But, based on the last cycle you had, you probably wouldn’t do TESA again, so that would be fine. You could start another cycle and just do fresh ejaculate. BUT, I HAVE A GREAT FEELING ABOUT THIS FOR YOU! So, this is going to be your cycle!!

Dee– you’ve come to the right place! These women are so wonderful. I’m glad I can help cheer you on!

Wondercat – Welcome! I will be doing the AF dance with Klinger for you!

Lou – Hi Friend! This is going to be it for you and me this time…I swear!

Klinger – thanks for starting the list. I think I’ll pop onto this thread because the summer one is winding down and I will need all the help I can get to keep me out of crazy town. so, I will have IUI on 8/28 – 8/29.

Welcome yingz! I'm sorry you're feeling down from the last cycle but hopefully this FET will be a success! Just let me know what step you're on in the process and I'll add you to the list.

Tiger - so glad you're joining us over here! How did the Femara treat you? Did you have any u/s yet to check the follies or do they just do that closer to the IUI date? And I'll get you added to the list when I update it tomorrow. :)

Hi Ladies, I hope you have room for one more. I will be doing my first IVF/ICSI in September/October. My story is a bit different. I guess I'm a bit of an odd ball in the infertility world but here is my story. I had a tubal ligation very young and I won't even go into all the reasons why that seemed like the best thing at the time. I was young and I know that played a big part. Anyway fast forward 13 years later, I married a wonderful man who has been a wonderful father to my girls. We were together for 11 years before we were married in 2008. We decided to have my tubal ligation reversed. Although my RE could only repair one tube, we were hopeful that we could conceive soon. But 2 years go by and no BFP's. We even tried IUI w/injectables. I responded well the first time 3 follies on both sides but the second time, only one follie on my good side, both cycles were BFN! Had AMH and FSH tested and my AMH was .47 and FSH was 11.1....FSH was only 6 a year earlier. I was devastated. I thought I had time before I had to go the IVF route but I was wrong, My RE says I have diminished ovarian reserve so we are now doing our first IVF/ICSI. I'm scared, nervous, excited... you name it! I'm doing the Lupron flare protocol. It looks like my ER will be around the end of Sept and ET the first of Oct. My clinic only does 5 day transfers. So here we go..... Thanks Amanda for inviting me to this thread ;)
