Re: Summer cycle group

Post by Tiger04 »

Sorry, I haven’t been on in a few days!

Fitz – I am so so very sorry! Do you have any embies frozen?

Lou – I hope this is it! That’s the one good thing about IUI, you can do them back-to-back, so there’s not much time in between. Here we go again! 10/15 is going to be here before you know it! Have you thought more about a get-a-way? Sounds like you had a fabulous weekend. I’m so glad. How are you feeling?

Franny – I’m so excited to cheer you on soon! How was your vaca? Are you a little glad to be home? I always miss sleeping in my own bed! DH always says, I think if you could bring our mattress with you every where, you would…wouldn’t you! I always answer, hell yes.

Ester, Teresa, and Franny – I know, it’s so sad when they go and say that. DH has said the same thing to me too, I think it’s natural. I always say, it takes both of us and it’s not something that I want to do alone. I couldn’t do it alone. This was a major conversation when we were going through the process of deciding to do donor sperm. Ester, like you, DH didn’t want to feel like he was just observing, or not equal. I told him that will never be the case and I just couldn’t do this on my own. We’re a team and equal through everything. It’s only DNA, it takes a person to be a parent and we need to be a parental team.

Teresa – HOW WAS THE WEDDING? You should start stims soon? Yes? When is your first SnS?

Tammy – I’m so so sorry that this cycle didn’t work, but that’s awesome that your RE is so supportive. Seems like you have a great RE. Tammy, I totally agree about the boards… I’m really glad that you guys are going to try 1 more time! That’s really exciting! Isn’t it peaceful when you have clarity? It’s super great. I’m glad you have that now.

Chili – totally understand! Awesome that you’re starting soon!

Katie – I can’t believe you only have 61 days left! Congratulations my friend!

Ryann – I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. Poor guy. Does he have time to think about the options out there or is something that should happen quickly?

Rebecca – TODAY IS THE DAY! Can’t wait to hear how everything went!

Dys – CONGRATULATIONS!!! YEAH!

Lauren319 – you are seriously cracking me up! Stick with it!

Cakes – this is fabulous news! YEAH!

Ester – only 1 more week. Are you staying out of crazy town?

Quick Update:

Apparently, my RE doesnt like for me to be in crazytown for a long period of time, just short bursts. Anyway, got a call from the nurse and they want me to come in on on 8/31 for a U/S. I will only be 6w1d. What will they hope to see at that time? Sometimes I dont know whether to laugh or cry. Can you say, "emotional rollercoaster"?! Geesh!

Dys, Renee, and Cakes -Congrats!!! It all sounds awesome.

Ryann - I was told not to lift anything more than 15 pounds (which is almost nothing), so be careful, k?

Tammy - I'm so excited to hear that you're trying again! And so soon!! I'm rooting for you.

Rebecca and DC - What happened? Don't leave us hangin'

Franny - Did you start???

Ester - I'm here, I'm here. I'm really down lately. How are you? Crazy playing the waiting game?? Symptoms??

AFM - As I just wrote to Es, I've been really down lately. I don't know if it was the HPTs (which were all negative and I'm seriously done with them) or the drugs or what, but I'm just not feeling it. These drugs are crazy. My boobs have been killing me ever since they added Prometrium to the list, which makes me feel like all of my symptoms are just from these effed up drugs. This is so not fun....and I've definitely hit the crazy threshold. So, like, if Wednesday is a BFN that's it, right? there's not hope this worked? Can I come home and get wasted? I'm serious btw.

Well, I am home from my ER. They were able to get 9 eggs and will call tomorrow with more info. I am tired and sore. My DH took the day off from regular work today, but is keeping busy completing side jobs while he has the time. He keeps popping in to see if I need anything. I was going to go in to school tonight for our back to school open house, but my RE said he wanted me in bed the rest of today so my DH won't let me go. I guess I'll listen and just rest now.

lauren we all get wasted after a BFN. my RE even tells my DH to take me out and get me drunk...seriously...i thought it was funny the first time...after that it just made me mad, and a drunk mean franny is no good for anyone!! I am a total anti POAS gal. i did it the first cycle and of course it was a BFN...i drove myself crazy, and drove DH crazy too...after that i promised never to give another dime to those evil HPT companies who feed off of womans emotions and hopes. the meds make everyone crazy, its not just you! like its not stressful enough they gotta mess with our hormones and make us feel like we are going crazy right?? you will start to feel normal again i promise!! i really do think it was too soon for you though! you only have one more full day of waiting now, and i am crossing everything you get a big surprise on wednesday!! thinking of you my dear!

es how are you hun?? when is your beta again?? what day transfer did you have? i'm here for you..crossing everything of course!! xoxo

ryann yay for no more birth control pills!!! i hate those things too, and was very happy not to go on them before this cycle. is it thursday yet??? please be careful with the lifting...listen to these ladies...they know whats best for you! i'm sorry about your dad...is there any meds he can take without surgery? so scary. you are both in my thoughts!

afm so my RE messed up my med order and decided i needed 600 boxes of menopur, and 80 viles of HCG!! ummmmm yeah....thats not right!! when my pharmacy called to confirm shipment they were reading my list of meds, and i was like..yeah no..i'm pretty sure i'm not going to be triggering 80 freakin times!! hahaha so they had to call my RE and get the right amounts...needless to say i didnt get my baby in a box today, and i am waiting for them to call me with the total so they can ship it out tomorrow. (crossing fingers) seriously though..i can never just have an easy med delivery..its just something i have come to accept as normal haha
so i am torn as to if i should stay over here in the summer thread or move my butt over to yet ANOTHER cycle group and go to the fall cycle.
i hope everyone is having a great day!

Tiger- So how are you feeling on the new meds they gave you? When do you get to find out how many follies you are making? Your next IUI is this coming weekend right?

Lou- I hope that you start to feel better soon but totally understand that you are feeling down. Dont worry October isnt too far away and I'm sure your FET will go great!

Rebecca- 9 eggs is a great number have you heard on the fert. report yet? I totally agree with your RE and DH you should be taking it easy. Your body needs to repair and prepair for their new "residents".

DCmama- How did things go for you? Have you heard on your fert. report too? Hope you are feeling ok!

Franny- UGH! :x I'm sorry that you'll be getting your meds late again! I laughed about the thought of you triggering 80 times for just one cycle. I'm glad you are back from vaca and will be joining the "party" again.

Ryann- I'm still debating about whether I will POAS or not. I did with my first cycle and it showed my BFP which I was really happy about. Sadly, I ended up with a chemical pregnancy and it was a really big let down. So, I dont know if I want it just to be a surprise so I dont get all excited just to have the samething happen.

Ester- How are you feeling? Is your beta at the end of this week? I know that you are worried about this working but dont give up on your little ones yet because they need their mommy's support!

Tammy- I am so happy that you and your DH are going to try again! I'll be here cheering you on.

Dys & Renee- Congrats to you both and I hope that you have very uneventful pregnancies! :D

Cakes- Congrats to you too and I will pray that the ultrasound shows that things are all well in there.

Lauren319- I am sorry you are feeling down but try to remember that its probably just from all the drugs you have been taking. Try to keep your chin and PMA up we are here for you!

Chili- I think its sweet of you to host your brother's wedding. Are you getting excited because September is right around the corner!

Ok I know I still missed a few of you but hope everything is going great!

AFM- OMG my brother's wedding was so much fun but so exhausting. My new SIL wanted everyone to be dancing the whole time and my poor feet are sooooo sore! It was really neat because she is from Mexico and they had several songs and dances that I had never seen before. Also at the end of the wedding they had a whole bunch of costumed dancers come to dance and everyone had to dance along with them. :) Anyway, so I finished my last BCP on Saturday while I was at the wedding and will have my SnS on Friday to make sure that everything shut down like it was suppose to. If so then I start my stims on Sat the 28th! I cant believe how fast things are moving now. It always seems this way once I start injections!

Yeah, I'm crashing again

Tiger - thanks, honey - its sort of frightening to see how close it is now, exciting, but I'm a real chucken about pain, so...

Es - You've been quiet, and I've lost track of where you are. I hope you're not visiting Crazytown...

Franny - Just when i thought you had a med order go through correctly... ugh. And i'll stalk you no matter which thread(s) you're on - much love and glad you're back from the Franny Summer '10 tour... missed you - xoxoxo

Tammy - I'm so glad you & Bill decided to give it another go.. I'm sooo hoping that this is the one!

Lou - Aw honey I know how hard it is to bounce back from all of this... its just too much sometimes... but you have those blasts for a reason, and I'm a big fan of a FET... I also thought that once we went to IVF it was a surefire way to being pg right off the bat - I had no idea that it would take me just under 2 years altogether. After the first BFN, I wasted 6 months trying to work up the push to try again, and after that it took me almost one and a half years of cycling almost back to back - its exhausting, but you will win this battle - I just know it! - xoxoxo

Good Luck to everyone - xoxo

Hi Girls!

Sorry I've been MIA for a while. I was in WV visiting family. I got home late last night. It was a good trip. Hannah had a great time with all of her cousins. It was actually nice to take a break from ttc. I ate ice cream, drank cold drinks and drank wine every night. I haven't done all of that in 4 months. I think that it's safe to assume that this cycle was a bust. I started AF early for some reason. I started on day 20 or something like that. It was strange. It didn't seem normal either. I didn't have any cramps like usual. I've never had a period so early. I started as soon as I got there, so that's why I decided to splurge on all of my favorite things.

As for the donor route. We've decided not to use Bre. I still feel somewhat connected to her. We are both really worried about the strawberry hair and freckles. If our kid had both, it would definitely NOT look like me or him. I would like for my kids to favor me some even if it's not genetically mine. So we are looking again. I didn't look the entire time I was gone. I started this morning. I found a girl that I like alot. Unfortunately a few other couples like her too. She was just added to this website a week ago and could be gone already. I am hoping to find out her status tomorrow. Her donor fee is expensive and the agency is way more expensive too. On the plus side, she's a proven donor. She's donated twice before and had successful pregnancies. I think both were twins.

I am still trying to catch up on everyone's progress. I did see some bad news and it breaks my heart. Lou and Tammy....I am so sorry.

I will do personals later. I need to catch up. I hope that all of you ladies are doing well. You're in my prayers.

Lots of love
~Karin~

Franny...yay for Baby in a Box! What a bummer the baby isn't already in there! Good thing there weren't enough meds to trigger 80 times! YIKES! DH and I decided that I will not go into my classroom to set up on September 1st, but my principal in opening the building over Labor Day weekend, so he will go with me Saturday and Sunday and I will just PRAY that I can get an entire classroom set up from scratch in 2 days! As for my dad, he is on meds right now, but doc says he doesn;t want him to do that for the rest of his life. If he were an older man the doc said he would let him just take meds for the rest of his life, but he is only 58. Thanks for the thoughts!!!

mcfarland...try to keep up the PMA til the 31st! I'm crossing my fingers for you :)

Karin...It sounds like you and DH probably made the rigth choice for you regarding Bre. That's a big decision. My sister, who has offered to donate her eggs to me should I need to go that route, is a strawberry blonde, so I have often wondered if I would be able to keep it private when my baby could resemble her so much! I hope you get the news you want to hear about the new donor!

Teresa...yay for the last BCP! That was a big day for me too :) If you decide to POAS I will be right there with you...if you don't I will be admiring the strength! We should only be 2 days apart starting, but my RE said she is going to go slow, so who knows if our ER and ET days will be the same or not!

Rebecca...congrats on the 9 eggs! I can't wait to hear the fertility report!

Lauren319...PLEEEEASE keep up the positive attitude for ONE MORE DAY! You can do this!!! I'm crossing everything for tomorrow!

cakes...I'm so glad you are going to get in for an us on the 31st and I hope it brings you nothing but good news!

Tiger...thanks for the kind words regarding my dad. I suppose he has a bit of time if he wanted it, but the longer he is on the meds, the worse the side effects are.

Renee...what wonderful news!!! Sounds like a strong number :)

dys...CONGRATS!!!! Look out for those multiples now!

Lou...sounds like you and DH had a great weekend! Life definitely doesn't work out the way you plan it, but that doesn't mean that things won't work out. I visited my RE in November of 2009, 1 month before I even got married. I fully expected her to put me on a magic pill and I would be pregnant before the New Year. I had it all planned out and my first baby was supposed to be here in September. Little did I know that it would take more than a magic pill AND all this time. I was goingto have 3 kids...1 at 24, 1 at 26 and 1 at 28. The best laid plans huh? I'll be 25 in October (2 days after your FET!!!). Please keep up your positive attitude...you definitely need to be strong and you have all of us here to help you.

There's really nothing to add on the AFM side....except that I CANNOT wait for Thursday. I think DH is already sick of the countdown. Little does he know there will be many more countdowns to come! The 2ww is going to drive him nutty. So I should start stims Thursday, and we already have plans for Friday night and Saturday night, so I am wondering how I am going to pull off the shots...I don't know what time I am supposed to take them, but I will soon find out!

Tiger -- yes! We are getting away... NYC for Labor Day weekend. We have tix for the US Open as well. I'm excited that we were able to pull this off... and on a budget too!

Cakes -- I'm hopeful fo ryour u/s on 8/31. Hang in there.

lauren319 -- Don't get too down, ok? I know it's hard with the negative HPT's. That's exactly why I don't take them. I want to believe that I'm pregnant as long as possible. Remember.... HPT's could very well be wrong. There are many cases of positive betas after negative HPT's... even on the same day. Don't give up. But yes, if you do get a negative beta... you can go out and get wasted. In fact, it's highly recommended!

Karin -- Welcome back! Glad you had a great trip.

Mcfarland -- Good luck on Monday!

Ryann -- Thanks hun. My PMA is just taking a bit longer to bounce back this time. I'm really excited for your cycle. I've got a good feeling for you.

Teresa -- Wow... You're starting again already. That's awesome. Glad you had a fun time at the wedding. It's important to keep somewhat of a "normal" life when doing IVF. Can't wait to cheer you on this cycle!

Katie -- I love when you crash. Thanks for giving me hope and support. I can't believe your precious baby will be here so soon. I'm so happy and excited for you. I hope you'll still find a few mins to stop by and offer your support and wisdom. My journey is still ongoing. I sure hope I get there soon.

Rebecca -- Congrats on 9! Hoping for an awesome fert report tomorrow. Definitely rest up today... you'll need it.

Franny -- Haha... triggering 80 times would be nuts! But you and I both know that we'd do it if we knew it could get us a BFP. So glad baby in a box came today. Yeah, there's never a baby in mine either! You'll be PUPO again before you know it. I say you hang out on both cycle groups! We'd love to have you pop in on us in the fall group for sure. You're an inspiration to many.

AFM -- DH and I are taking a short trip for Labor Day weekend to NYC. We have tickets for the US Open tennis tournament. Nosebleed seats... but at least I'll be there. I'm hoping getting away is exactly what I need to recharge. I hope to come back with renewed hope and find my PMA. I'm on BCP's for my FET scheduled for 10/15. It's a looong process. So I've hopped on the Fall board. I will post in both places for a bit and I want to see the last few BFP's on this thread as well. Anyone cycling in Sept/Oct/Nov... stop on over. We need the company and everyone is welcome. I need something to keep me busy. I've gone back to working out every day. It's part of who I am. I took time off this last cycle but need to get back in there to relieve stress. I think about my BFN a million times a day and wonder if this will ever work for me. I'm definitely not giving up. But I hate this journey and wish I knew when it would be over. I wish my baby didn't die last May. I'm supposed to be 29 weeks right now. I'm not greedy... I just want one healthy child. I just can't accept that 12 weeks pregnant is as close as I'm ever going to get.

Lou - you can't think like that , hun. it'll happen for you. I know, easier said than done, right? I can't help wondering how affected my 3 month old would be now and if I made the right decision to terminate at 16 weeks. I not only feel like a horrible person, but that I've missed my only chance at having a child, mentally disabled or otherwise :(

Hi ladies! Sorry for the delay!! We had our egg retrieval on Saturday and got 9 eggs, 8 were mature. They did 100% ICSI and only 5 fertilized. My RE's protocol has changed since we had our son and they only do Day 5 transfers now (we did Day 3 w/ my son). As of today (day 3), the embryos "look good" and there are only 4 remaining. God, I hope we have two for Day 5. We've really been debating 1 or 2 blasts to transfer, but I think we are going to go for 2 b/c we're more afraid of this not working than we are of having twins. Please please please let this work.

Lou71--Don't look back at past plans...it's too depressing. Just tell yourself that we are all on our own paths.

DYS24 & Cakes: Congrats! Enjoy this moment.

RebeccaJM: did you notice that you were more swollen AFTER the ER than before??? I stayed on bedrest for 1.5 days. I was feeling pretty beat up/sore after my ER.

teresa: the wedding sounds fun and like a GOOD distraction!

OK--off to actually do work. Ate too much strawberry rhubarb cobbler today...tummy hurts.
