Hey ladies, thought I'd check in with you before you all start wondering whether I'm MIA becauuse I've gone into labour! On that front, there are no signs of imminent movement from Zorba. Three out of the six couples from our antenatal group have now had their babies, all of whom came early (12 days early, 10 days early and 9 days early respectively), which has made us a bit freaked given that I'm 38 weeks tomorrow! DH and I had a nice relaxing weekend - we didn't do very much for our 6th wedding anniversary on Saturday, we walked the dogs in the morning at a nice country park, treated ourselves to some junk food at lunchtime and went to the cinema in the afternoon to watch Salt. It was actually pretty perfect for a heavily pregnant woman!

katie - I know, I'm likely to be the first to go... I actually alternate constantly between being really excited that meeting the baby is now so close and absolutely terrified of the labour and delivery. Just have to keep telling myself that however bad it is, it won't go on forever, I suppose! How are you today honey, did Savannah continue her all night dance parties every night over the weekend?

babyluv - hope you had a good weekend. Looking forward to seeing how your OB appointment goes today and whether you're coming off the bed rest...

Steph - I imagine that you've got Alex off to school by the time I post this, I bet the house is going to seem really quiet without her! To answer your question, yes I've been getting an increasing feeling of pressure at the bottom of my belly over the last week or two, I'm not really sure whether that's caused by the baby moving down or simply the increased weight of the baby (if he/she is still growing at the same rate as prior to my 35 week growth, it'll weigh about 8.5lbs or so by now). One thing that is new for me (and so I'm assuming that it's caused by the baby engaging) is that each time I wake up in the night over the last 4-5 days I am in excruciating pain in my lower abdomen and it's difficult to force myself to get out of bed. The pain goes once I empty my bladder so I think it's just the lack of room in there, and that having any fluid in the bladder becomes painful because of the baby pressing into it. Yay for having a handy husband who can make wooden letters for the babies' room, that's such a nice personal touch. Did they all get cut and painted at the weekend? Please, please take a photo of them when you've done the accent walls and got the lettering up!

claudia - hey you, good to hear from you! Hope you had a good dinner for your brother's birthday. Can't wait to see an updated belly pic, I bet you still look amazingly cute and neat! I feel like a blimp these days! Totally forgot to get DH to take a beach ball picture at the weekend but I will try and grab him if he gets home from work before it gets dark one night this week.

PA_FA - wow, you do your orientation tours really early in the US! DH and I didn't do our hospital tour until I was about 33 weeks pregnant, mind you, we'd already decided on which hospital we were going to go to, so it was more of a 'here's a delivery room and this is what to expect' than a 'this is what we offer, so that you can make up your mind whether to come here'. Like you, we were in a tour group with some 'interesting' people, including a couple of men who loudly asked the midwife giving us the tour where the nearest pub was so that they'd know where to go to kill time when their partners were in labour. Charming... Good luck for your OB appointment today, look forward to hearing how it goes.

Franca - like the others, I know several people who've been given similar odds of a DS baby, and the baby has been perfect in every way. Take care...

angela - have a fantastic holiday, hope you get a chance to check in with us while you're away, if not speak to you when you get back!

Sara - glad to hear you've got a nice class, let's hope they continue to behave for you! I see that you're already 27 weeks, with twins being in there how long are you planning to work before going on maternity leave?

gi - yay for being 28 weeks. Glad to hear that the nursery project is still going strong, it won't be long now until it's finished! Can you get J to sort out photos to show us when it's all done?

Hope - wow, getting Christmas shopping done already, I wish I could be that organised! I just know that I'll have good intentions of going to the shops nearer to the time, and then I'll probably end up just ordering a random load of presents over the internet! Happy 7th anniversary for tomorrow!

Hazel - Yes, I got my little diva off to school this morning. lol I will have to post a picture of her new look. She got her hair done over the weekend. We did get the letters painted over the weekend, they look great! So you should find out soon whether you will be going in early or waiting it out. Wow, you are so close to meeting Zorba! Soooo exciting!! I know what you mean about the painful feeling in the morning. Mine doesn't always go away after I pee, though it does feel a lot better after I go. I almost limp to the bathroom, a strange looking pregnancy limp. lol Turning at night I can feel that pain too and also pain on my sides, I am guessing that it from the weight being pulled to one side and then the other when I roll. To be on my back at night is really painful so when I am having back and belly pain caused from laying on my side, I will angle myself on my back but a little to the side and prop my arm or a pillow under my belly. This is the only thing that helps. Though if I choose my arm for a quicker fix, it will end up eventually falling asleep.

Franca - I understand your decision and it's a great one. I am sure everything will be perfect, after all, look what all you have been through just to be blessed naturally! :) I do believe in a mother's instinct. I believe in everyone's instinct, mother or not. I just think not many people trust it enough. I have had instincts about my babies. I wanted two boys, but in my heart I knew it was a boy and a girl and sure enough that is what I am having. :) It's a little thing, but I was right.

Natasha - Good luck at your next appt! Think you will get to see your little miracle? Glad you are off those shots and all is well. I knew it would be! It is better to know for sure though. :)

Hope - I am glad you like the sprinkles idea. Sip and see sounds good too and makes a lot of sense. A lot of people have those types of gatherings too when they have more than one child. It would be more comfortable for you not being pregnant and able to enjoy family and friends and a newborn as well! I say lt the girl have the big room too! Boys don't need a lot of space especially when they are there they aren't using that space. You will need the room for the crib, dressers, changing table, rocker, toys, etc. Then as she grows, well we all know how much room a girl needs, heck, we all know how much room WE need. lol It just never ends. ;) I can't wait to see how your nursery turns out! Sad to think you aren't enjoying your anniversary with DH. Hopefully you get some kind of quality time in.

Gi - No need to worry about me, I am sure I will be fine. Andrew comes home for lunch and if Doc happens to put me on bedrest then he will be home all the time. Not too sure I want the Army wives popping in anyway. lol They are gossipy and talk a lot of shit that I just don't want to be bothered with hearing about. One girl is always complaining about her husband all the time, but I think she is the looney one. It is cute to watch them really push out of your belly isn't it? Ethan is always doing that. It looks so strange, feels funny and so cool to watch. So your nursery will be done within two weeks? I hope you post pictures!

Babyluv - Happy Birthday Scarlett!! I know I am late but still wanted to say it. :) That is so cute how they both love the Escalade and Darren going all out! It's always the little girls that get their daddy's heart into mush. With two more I can only imagine how torn he will be. Just wait till they all want a car, or the credit cards. lol What will he do then?

Sara - Wow, starting a new school year this pregnant, how is that feeling? At least they are 2nd graders and are behaving... my daughter's age it's all about girl drama and boys. What a headache, lol So you are starting work and starting on the nursery as well as helping a friend? You must be super mom! lol I couldn't imagine having to do so much. What a big heart you have though to be there for your friend with so much going on in your life. It's always sad to know a child is sick. Type 1 diabetes is much over looked by the public because it is treatable, but still can be very scary if people knew what all it can do to a person's body.

Angela - I think Alex did great getting off to school today. As far as I know, she didn't gt sick. lol I hope you have a great time on your trip. Remember to get up and stretch those legs on the long drive. I hope you can enjoy yourself even though you can't party like you could if not perggers. Take it easy, listen to your body and I think you will be just fine. Enjoy the simple things, after all who needs alcohol and a bunch of running around to have fun? You have something special to celebrate on your vacation... a healthy miracle baby in that round belly of yours. ;)

AFM - Ok, we went and got two pints of extra paint because we decided to paint the letters a contrasting pink and blue so they stand out. The walls are very light pastel so that is why. Now that we have some extra paint, we decided to make a paint rail on the wall above the cribs on each wall. lol We keep adding little tasks for ourselves, but I think it is a great idea. It will only take maybe an hour total to do, with taping and painting. I am hoping to have as much visual fun painting this time as I did last time. Alex was away for the weekend and not being able to "play", Andrew decided to paint the nursery nakie. That was fun. Anyway, enough about that, I am sure it's tmi. lol I have on order pink panels to match the existing valance and two little rugs that match the pink and brown/blue and brown color scheme. The brown is just a trim so it won't take away from the colors. :) Once I get those, the room will be done!! I can't wait! The letters are painted and all they need now is their glossy coat and to be mounted to their bases.

Alex got off to school just fine today. I even gave her some fake nails and straightened her hair this morning. lol No getting sick that I know of (she's done it at school before) though she did text me saying she left her lunch money. She thought she had it in her pocket. Andrew ended up getting it to her. She got a new look over the weekend. She wanted her hair done again before school but was with the sperm donor for the weekend so I got him to pay for it. lol The least he could do right? So she came back with brown hair with red low lights. Pretty bold but pretty awesome looking I think. It works well with her skin tone. I took pictures so you can take a look. :)

Hi everyone-

Whew! I see that the one day that I dont check in here you all go and have a typing fest - haha. Chris had me running all over yesterday so I just didnt get a chance to log on, but since the weekends are ususally so quiet around here, I thought it wouldnt matter, but oh yes, now that football season is getting going, I guess that will chance soon, huh? We sort of had a date day yesterday, which is rare so it was really nice, he took me out for breakfast and then we went to pick up the glider and of course got sucked into the vortex that is babies r us. I have a real love/hate thing going with that store, I cannot figure out what it is about that place that gives me temporary ADD. I mean really how long does it take to pick out a monitor? baby wash? mouthing toys? car seat cover?
I'm telling you we were there all day again. Somehow we got lost in the bathing section and managed to take like an hour to pick out a tub spout cover and bath toy organizer! And yes, haha I do realize that we wont even be needing these things til Savannah is old enough to sit up ny herself!! In any other store we can be in & out pretty quick, but this one just sucks me in every time. We stood there forever trying to decide between mylicon drops, gripe water, or something called colic relief - ummm, what is wrong with me that such simple decisions now take an hour? And baby thermometers?? jeez, that was a nightmare! Theres just way too many choices in that department, we finally went with a flexible rectal that came with a tympanic for later on. Luckily this trip we were smart enough to stay far away from the stuffed animal section, they make these things so flipping cute now that you have it in the cart before thinking that you have enough of them at home - lol. On a high note, other than a few small items - we are done!! Well, at least until she's born and we'll probably realize we forgot some things, but for now - I'm so happy to be done with baby shopping, and the credit cards are too - lol. Oh and Chris was acting so cute all day, holding his arm out for me when walking and helping me in & out of the car - it was so sweet.

I had to lay down this morning on my left side for a while, it seemed like she was positioned on a nerve again, I had pain/ pressure radiating down my groin, to my the front of my right thigh, while walking, so I figured if I lay on the other side maybe she'll move a little? It took a few hours of having to stay laying down, but it went away - weird, huh?

Claudia - Haha now Flick has started to be kickboxer in training too! Picking out furniture was way more fun than shopping for all the baby gear - what color nursery are you going to go with? I cant wait to see pics!

Steph - Aw how was Alex this morning on her first day back to school? Hope she got over her nervousness and was excited instead. Of course I worry about you, but now for the next 2+ weeks you'll have your man home with you and I wont worry that something happens when you're there alone. Wow, Andrew is super quick! His first dat off and you're all painted already? Good man! I'll bet that by now he has the letters done or almost there. I cannot wait to see nursery pics! I'm glad to hear that you're getting some good days too, I was thinking that you were in pain all the time now - so whew! We got lucky with curtains since the valance came with the bedding set, or else that would have been another quest into indecision. I just added sheers to the valance, and oh that reminds me that I still need a shade for the sun - so much for the list getting smaller....

Pa-FA - That guy at your orientation class was a jackass! I'll take a wild guess here and say that they werent infertile and struggling to get pregnant, huh? I feel bad for his wife, but she oicked him, right? Good luck with your u/s today. I cant wait to hear how it went. Yup, I had on maternity jeans by 8-10 weeks, cause it make the nausea worse to have anything tight on, and now I love them so much I may never go back to regular jeans. The most comfy pants ever!

Angela - Yay you should get your own car back today! Enjoy your vacation, but dont try to overdo and walk too much, your DH will understand. And if he doesnt, we'll strap a bowling ball to his abdomen so he can see how it feels - hahaha. I can only imagine how many rest stops you'll see during a long drive...

Sara - Whew! 23 second graders?? wow its a good thing that htey're so well behaved - that sounds pretty tiring! Try to take it esay twin mama

Babyluv - Happy 3rd birthday to Scarlett!! Aw, of course daddy picked the Escalade with all the features - men cant help but choose the best vehicles!
Hee hee, You are so right, it should be fun to watch him when there are 3 little girls around! Is he and your DS still feeling outnumered? At least they have a big brother to look out for them! So sweet. How is the nusery coming along?

Gi - Hooray for 28 weeks! Jeez, if you think of where we were this time last year - would you ever have believed that we'd be setting up nurseries this year???? sometimes I still cant believe it! Now Kayla, sweetheart, kicking mama in the lungs sounds like OW! See, Gi, she's a funny girl already. I cant wait to see your pink nursery! You have to get J or your sister to sort out posting a photo, please. Yes, I was going to ask you how your summer of weddings was going. So, 4 more?

Hope - You busy, busy girl! UGH alone on your 7th anniversary? Thats no fun. Your nursery plans sound simply adorable, cant wait to see the pics of it!

Natasha - Wheee! Isnt it great to not have to have shots everyday? Enjoy! Good luck with your appt on Wed, and enjoy seeing your baby on the u/s!

Hazel - 38 weeks!????!! When did this happen? My, God the time is going so fast now! Do you have your hospital bag packed and ready to go yet? I havent done mine yet, I must do it soon though, just in case. Yes, me too, the more I think of the labor anf delivery the more wound up I get about it. but with Zorba at 8.5 pounds already, are you sure you're still not thinking of pain management? I have a feeling Savannah will be a little peanut, and as soon as I'm at the point of wanting to choke someone, anyone near me, I will take the epidural, no problem - hee hee. You get to choose which hospital? Wow, I wish we could do that here. We have to go by where our OBs have privledges. So I was sneaky and only looked at medical groups that had privledges at the hospital that I wanted, which is maybe 15-20 minutes from home, because they have a really great reputation (for L&D) at least. OMG, we'll be there soon! Is your DH starting to get a wee bit anxious? Chris is very excited, but scared of how small newborns are - I have a funny feeling that he'll be afraid to touch her at first.

hugs& prayers to us all - xoxoxo

Steph - gah! we were posting at the same time. Haha, somehow I just knew that those letters would be all squared away by Monday! a paint rail sounds like a god idea - and even better when done by a hot naked guy!!!! I love, love love Alex's new color! it really compliments her complexion beautifully. Good thing the sperm donor took her to someone good with color - when they mess up your color, it doesnt matter how old you are - its traumatizing! Aw, she looks so happy in the pictures, is that her BFF? well at that age she'll have many BFFs. How are you feeling twin mama? better now that your man is home for awhile? - xoxoxo

Hi girls,

Katie so you are just about organised thats great!! I still have a bit to do but will try buy most of it this wk so when jason finally puts the furniture together on Sat its just a matter of putting it all together. I will also need to wash all the baby clothes as well. I will get my sis to come over and take pics for ye and my long promised bump when its done. Ah this time last yr i had just found out i was pregnant again, i cant believe that was a year ago it has gone by so quickly but i know i have 2 little angel babies who are minding my little Kayla.

Steph must have been a funny site seeing Andrew paint naked!! Which reminds me on my sis bought us baby video monitors so jason decided to test them out on sat night, i had the video part in my bedroom and he had the camera end in the kitchen and turned off all the lights so it would be totally dark he wouldnt believe me that i could see him walking around the kitchen so decided to test me by mooning in front of the camera....hmmm not a pretty site ha ha.
Alex looks lovely and so happy go lucky, glad school went well.

Hope shopping for 6 hrs oh i am aching just thinking about it!!! It does sound more practical to move the boys into the other room esp. if they are not living there full time and besides girls need more room!

Franca personnally i wouldnt get an amnio either i will love whatever i am given besides your motherly instincts are correct and your baby will be fine.

Hazel only 2 wks left!!! Sorry to hear you are getting soooo uncomfortable something for us all to look foward too

gi xxx
7th IVF finally our precious miracle girl Kayla born 24/11/10, 8th IVF FET Sept 2012 BFP!!!

Katie - You always make me laugh! Yes, painting rocks with a hot naked guy doing the painting. Who needs Chippendales guys when I got a hot nakie soldier that I can touch for free! :P Andrew is enjoying his first tru day off of work. He was getting calls bright and early though from soldiers anyway because no one believed he was really on leave. lol Even when he said he was on leave, the one said, no really.. where are you. He is out trying to find long thin screws that will work for to secure the letters to the base. He doesn't want to jus glue them and possibly make a mess or have it look like crap. lol As for Alex, sperm donor got lucky, she only charged 75 for three colors, light brown, dark brown and red. I never get that lucky and I only use two! Anyway, so nice that you got a little date time with Chris. Even a little quality time is so nice to have. Take advantage of as many as you can before Savannah demands all your attention. lol As for the pain. I am not surprised. Sometimes it takes laying down, standing up, walking around or a literal nudge to the baby to get them off of something. The ribs are an easy one to nudge them away from. I get quick little sharp pains shooting from time to time. The really fun ones are the ones that shoot straight to the cervix. (heavy sarcasm) Those are the most uncomfortable and feels like someone is poking it with a needle. I love to be poked but not that way. :? At least Savannah moved and let her mommy feel better again. :) Me... I am ok. Still having BH and I have yet some more questions and concerns for the ob tomorrow. Everyone I know asks me if I am on bedrest when I tell them about the previa and are shocked that I am so far along with twins and a previa and not on some kind of rest with the BH even. I don't want to be on rest, but without anyway of knowing what my cervix looks like, I am worried. If I get the order to be on rest that means Andrew can be home until the babies are born and that would be nice for him and me! lol

Gi - That is so funny mooning in front of the camera. LOL A lot of monitors with video have the night vision so it is very possible to see everything. So I bet Jason believes now that you can see everything? It should reassue the both of you that they work quite well. Though I am sure that your toosh was a beautiful sight to him. ;) Andrew being naked was quite enjoyable for me, but a hell of a tease considering we can't do anything. ven with this big ole belly and being uncomfortable most the time, I still wish I could play. lol Sorry to get off the subject. Back to the monitors... Andrew says that once the babies don't need the monitor anymore that we will put it in Alex's room to make sure she doesn't sneek out the window to meet boys. lol The look on her face when she heard that was priceless.

Katie- Yeah for date day! Boo for getting sucking into BRU again. We went there for the first time today...ugh. We also went to Buy Buy Baby. I'm glad you are done. I felt so overwhelmed and we were just looking at furniture. OH UGH!

Steph- I hope you are feeling a bit better tonight. I had to LOL about naked painting. Everytime I paint rooms I always end up a mess...so I can only imagine how funny it could be. It could be like finger painting but with...oh well never mind. LOL

GI- I want to get a video monitor too. Oh Lord...DH could end up doing the same thing to me. Better not give him any ideas!

Hazel- WOW only 2w left. I am so excited for you.

AFM- OK I was wrong. I did NOT get to see my little bundle today. :( I guess I was under the very wrong impression that I would get to see every time since I am considered high risk by the office. Not so much. I did get to hear the hb. That was good. I almost started crying when I found out I wasn't going to see him/her. My next apt is Sep 13 with the OB. I don't get to see then either. :( Next time I get to see is Sep 29 at the perinatal center for my level II u/s. I did get to meet the other OB in the office today. She was really nice.
I bought the book Baby Bargains. Has anyone read that? I was hoping it would help me narrow down some major shopping choices. There are so many choices with brands and it's confusing. (Especially being a first time mom) However, this just gave me more to think about. UGH. So my question to you ladies is about furniture. This was my first goal to tackle. I want to find the nursery furniture soon. I heard that sometimes it can take months to get stuff in. EEKKKK! OK, let me focus....furniture. Where did you get your furniture...what brand did you choose. Did you end up getting a convertible set? UM....anything else I should know? Feel free to let me know. I am on the verge of freaking out.
OK....well....have a great night ladies. I'm off to do more online furniture research. Oh and Grease is on TV> :) DH has never seen it. Can you believe it???? So I am torturing him but singing every song! :)

PA - I bought the nursery furniture at a local store four years ago, but it's been great. We did get a convertible crib, but only used it as a toddler bed for Scarlett. Alex went straight into a full size bed when we needed the crib for her, she was in crib and was in the toddler portion for about 8 months, and now she's in a full size bed. We'll make it back into a crib, eventually order another one that is similar for the twins, but probably move them to twin beds when the time comes. We've definitely gotten our money's worth!

Katie - BRU was my FAVORITE store for so long! I loved browsing until Alex was two (could still look at toys), and then loved the excuse to go back and look for Scarlett. This time around my trips are pretty quick...in fact, I did all of my registering online! Thankfully I already knew which kinds of bottles, tubs, etc I wanted, so it was pretty easy. Darren has barely stepped foot in that store! He happily goes if I want him to, but has no idea what to look for so unless it's a big purchase (like a crib), I usually leave him home (though we did go there on date night a few months ago). Good luck! I remember how crazy it was the first go round.

Steph - HAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!! And I must say, PA's comment about finger painting but not...oh my goodness, hysterical. HYSTERICAL!!! Let me know how your OB appt goes and what he says. Mine has pretty much become known as the Twin Doc around here, and he's VERY conservative. If you are worried and think you should be on bed rest, put yourself on it...but definitely ask for it from him if it means Andrew can stay home! It's always better coming from a doctor.

Gi - WOW, that is CRAZY long for a wedding!! Ceremonies here generally last 30-60 min, then an hour or two for pictures, then about a 4 hour reception. Sooo....if a wedding starts at 1pm, it's usually over no later than 8pm...and that's a long wedding. Ours was super short...started at 2:30pm and we were out the door at 5:45pm!! We had about a 30-40 min ceremony, and hour or so for pics, then just under two hours for reception (we didn't serve dinner, just heavy appetizers). Darren and I each took about 1/2 the guests, split up, said hello, had the toasts and dances, then we were gone! We didn't plan on greeting the guests that way, just sort of worked out. And we loved it :D

Hazel - TWO WEEKS OR LESS!!! I am so excited for you!!

Natasha - Whoo hoo for getting off the shots!!!

Angela - How are you doing today?

AFM - OB is really happy with my u/s results, still keeping me on bed rest. That's totally fine, I am finding I can't do much anyway! And the BH started to slow down the first week, but now they are coming with no rhyme or reason. Blah. So, I'll just be on the safe side.

But here's my random question. Ok, so I feel like maybe I have some reflux as I randomly feel a little regurgitation (usually at night), but I'm not sure. Also I have almost a coldness that starts in my chest and ends in my throat. By the end of the day, my throat feels like I've been eating ice all day. Weird, right? I've heard some people have heartburn but it feels more like ice than burning, but I am not sure what it is. I DO know my tummy feels a little nauseous by early evening. Another thing I heard happens in the third tri... morning sickness can come back.

So, thoughts?

Pa - LOL  So funny where your mind went with the naked painting. He didn't get messy at all, but we are about to do the stripes on the walls so now (thanks to you) I am thinking (if he gets nakie again) that I might give him one pink hand print and one blue hand print on each cheek. I don't see him dipping that "non finger" in paint. I love where your mind went though. Too funny! Anyway, on to your non naked guy questions. lol I got a 4 in 1 crib from BSF (Bright Steps Furniture) Isabella style. BSF are the people who make it, I bought one from BRU and the other was bought for me from Walmart who was so much cheaper. I bought the first one for 260, Walmart had it for 240 and rolled it back recently to 198!! What a steal! It goes from a crib, to a toddler bed, to a day bed to a twin bed's headboard and footboard. It is definately something that can last throughout the 18 years. When I bought them I was thinking about that. Who knows what our budget will look like with growing twins. lol I say pay attention to reviews on the cribs you are looking at. Nothing is going to have a 100% 5 star rating but you can really weed out a lot of things based on others complaints verses their praises.

Babyluv - Thanks for the advice for the OB. I will find out how that will go tomorrow. I wonder what he is going to say now. The symptoms you are having sounds all like reflux to me. Even the cold type feeling is probably some acid coming up just not all the way up to the point of feeling like you just threw up in your mouth. It might just be stewing in your esophagus and maybe not that acidic thanks to all the water you drink on a daily basis. Mine is always worse at night too, I keep tums next to my bed since I wake up a lot, sometimes due to the heartburn/reflux and have to have something to help me right then and there. It does enough help to let me get comfy again and go back to sleep. Might want to let your OB know and he can prescribe something for you if you prefer? I don't really get the nauseous feeling, not yet anyway. I do know that some moms do experience that though. It takes a lot for my tummy to get upset. Even in the beginning I didn't really have morning sickness. Just a little nauseous when I didn't eat often enough for a couple weeks. I hope you find some relief to those things.

I know, I hav been hanging around checking up on you moms a lot today, but only in between helping Andrew with the finishing painting touches. He has put a few glossy coats on the names now. They are no longer just letters now that they are all put together. It looks great and he is so proud of himself. Of course, they aren't without imperfections but that is what makes them special. I rather have them this way done with love than pay 130 for perfect and impersonal. :) Hoping to have pictures by tomorrow for everyone. :)

Steph- Hand prints sound hilarious! ;) I could picture my dh putting a butt print on the wall...maybe. Sometimes he is such a priss about getting dirty. LOL I think I do want to go for convertible. I like the idea of it lasting longer than just a couple of years.

Babyluv- Can't say I have any advice about your symptoms. My thoughts are that the multi berry TUMS are quite yummy. :D

Franca - Please don't ever think you are being a pain. That is the beauty of having everyone around because when we feel a little worried or scared we can lean on each other. Especially, how many questions I have asked the other ladies ... lol.

To answer your question, at 14 weeks, I felt pretty good. I did start to feel Gabriella move a little but that timeframe is really early. It felt like someone was tickling me softly. At that stage, I only felt it when I laid on my left side and not when I was moving around and it wasn't something that was constant, only every once in awhile. From what I have read; if a women hasn't been pregnant before or reached that stage it is difficult for them to tell when the baby is moving that early, sometimes it can take up to 18 to 20 weeks for others to really feel them. Also, around that time I noticed my breasts weren't as tender as they were when I first became pregnant and the nausea was gone.

This is a web site posted below that I signed up for early in my pregnancy. It is so nice because each day they send me an email of what stage I am in in my pregnancy, what my baby should be doing, her size, and what symptoms to expect, etc. Click on the link and see if it is something that you would like to sign up for so you can get the emails also.

I hope this helps!

PA_FA – I love your post. So, I read it to my DH and of course he just laughed again. I will tell you, I don’t know where he would be if it weren’t for me taking care of paying all the bills and keep track of really important things around here … lol. He always tells me that is why he married someone who is so responsible. Too funny right? Yes, I promise when I return from my vacation next week, I will make the appointment and then I will be so proud of myself for completing this much needed task … lol!

I just read your next, why do they consider you high risk? I am just curious … I am with a high risk OB also because of my late loss during my last pregnancy, clotting disorder, and a million other reasons … lol.

Sara – yes, you are so right that Gabriella’s health makes all y problems insignificant. I am truly blessed that she is healthy so far!

23 second graders huh? I think kids are so cute around that age. I am sure you are enjoying every minute of it!

Babyluv –Your daughter turned 3 … that is so great! I think that is a wonderful age separation from your twins. I am sure she will really enjoy then once they arrive!

Yes, that certainly sounds like acid reflux. I suffered from it before I was pregnant so you can imagine how bad it has been since I have been pregnant. Tums is the best solution and if that doesn’t work, I would mention it to your physician as they could prescribe something else to help. The soreness that you feel in your throat is from the acid irritating the back of your throat. With you being pregnant with twins, there is a lot pressure on your stomach, esophagus, and sphincters that hold your liquids and food down. Also, progesterone helps weaken the sphincter also. If it gets so bad you might want to sleep with one more pillow so you are a little elevated.

Gi – It is great to hear from you and know that you and your bundle of joy are doing well! I wish you good luck with the weddings. I officially can’t sit still for more than 30 to 45 minutes, so I don’t know how I would make it through an entire wedding.

Hope – I know you were truly exhausted after shopping for that many hours. I think I would have to ask for them to wheel me to my car because my legs would have permanently given out. Wow, you are so prepared … you are already shopping for Christmas! I wish I could do that but I am having trouble just shopping for the necessities that we need daily. I find myself completely exhausted after only a few minutes of shopping!

Natasha – Of course I remember you going to the Bahamas but I don’t recall that being your honeymoon. Congratulations is in order!!!!! When did you and your DH get married? How long have you been a couple? I love details … lol. What a wonderful present to have your precious baby during your first year of marriage. That really makes me smile!

Even though my DH and I have been married for 10 years, it seems just like yesterday that we were newlyweds! You won’t believe this but my DH asked me to marry him after only officially dating for one week! I met him back when I was a sophomore in high school and he was a senior at a teenage night club but we didn’t talk anymore after our first encounter. He then approached me 8 years later at a local night club and asked if I remembered him. I have always been attracted to him but at the time I had just graduated from nursing school and I wasn’t interested in a serious relationship because I was working so many hours and trying to get used to my new role but he was persistent … lol. So we were phone friends for about 6 months before we even went on a date. The rest is history as they say!

Franca – I too think your baby will be just fine. Oh yes, I do believe in mother instinct … I am sure you are right!

Hazel – I think Zorba just wants to make her grand entrance … lol. I am sure it won’t be too much longer before all three of you meet one another! Yes, I plan on taking my lap top with me on vacation. I know I am supposed to be relaxing but if I don’t check company email daily, it will take weeks to catch up! I learned that the hard way after we went on two separated cruises. I almost cried when I saw how much I needed to catch up on.

Stephanie – I too love Alex’s hair. They look so darn cute!!! Thanks for the advice regarding my vacation … I will do my best to have a good time and take it easy.

Katie – your shopping day sounds like what mine would have been like. I am so indecisive sometimes. You should see me ordering food … it drives my DH crazy … lol.

The drive is only 4 hours, so we will probably stop every hour so I can stretch my legs and go to the restroom so I don’t burst!

AFM – I had another weekly u/s yesterday and I just can’t believe how big Gabriella is! She is so long that her head is just above the cervix, which I can certainly feel. I noticed that my cervix and private area are so much sorer than it normally is. Thank goodness that my cervix’s length is still measuring correctly and I have no obvious problems! Well, ladies I have to get off of this computer so I can go pack for our vacation. I will check in later!
