Cakes – I’m really glad to hear that they have moved up your u/s. I’ve got all my fingers and toes crossed!

Lauren319- IF it is a BFN, you can absolutely drink that day…I took the day off work after my last one and had 2 martini’s at lunch! But, don’t give up so soon!

Rebecca – congrats on the 9 eggs! That sounds fantastic. I can’t wait to hear your fert report

Franny – I can’t believe that about your BOB! I swear you always have an issue with your meds. Well, at least you always plan ahead and are great at double checking! I couldn’t even imagine how much 80 triggers and 600 boxes of menopur would have cost! Yikes! I think we should continue to cheer on Lauren, cakes, and Rebecca, but also head over to the new board. We haven’t had so much luck on this board, so I think we need a clean slate 

Teresa – Hi! I’m not feeling any difference at all, but I didn’t really feel anything on the clomid either. So, I have another u/s on 8/27 to see how my follies are growing..that will be day 10. The 2 previous cycles, I have triggered on day 11 and day 12, so I’m guessing that I will find out on 8/27 when I will trigger! This month I am starting to take the progesterone suppositories, so I think I start that the day after the last IUI. So, in the past, I have just waited to see if I get my period and not gone in for my beta because I’m not giving them any more money than I have to. Now that I am going to be on progesterone though I think I will have to go in for my beta…does anyone know? I’m so glad the wedding was great! Man, your feet must be sore! YEAH! I’m going to be stalking you on Friday to see how your u/s goes. It’s sure moving fast now! That’s so great!

Karin – I have missed you! I hope you are going to come over to the Fall board as well. I will miss you too much! That sounds like great news about the donor. It’s such a personal choice, so I’m glad that you feel good about the new path and I hope that you are able to move forward with the new donor! Please keep me updated. After my first IVF, I got my period really early too. I thought maybe because of all the drugs that it just screwed up my cycle. I don’t know if that’s normal after IVF, but I had a similar experience.

Mcfarland – I’m rooting for you!

Ryann – I see about your dad. I’m so sorry that he has to take medicine. I’ll be thinking of you and your family.

Lou – sorry, I wrote the post before reading your other note  I’m so glad you are getting away! I can’t wait to hear all about it. I’ll be thinking of you as I watch it on TV…definitely not as good. Lou, I know, I hate doing the math on all the what-ifs…but, this FET is going to be your cycle. Try and go into it with a great attitude…A very strong woman has been an inspiration for me that positive attitude is half the battle…that was YOU! So, you can do it!

Lots of love to all of you!

ok ok ok
lou and lauren you girls are just bumming me out man!! we will ALL be the amazing mothers we imagine ourselves being everyday! it WILL happen damnit! you both GOT pregnant..it can and it WILL happen again. i dont even know if i can get pregnant...seriously...this is my 6TH IVF?? are you freaking kidding me?? but i'm not going to give up. i'm going to try anyway possible to become a mommy. it may not be IVF, it may mean that the baby isnt the same DNA as me, but i swear to anyone who is listening out there that it will happen damnit! you both need to believe with me!! i'm not saying you cant be sad, and worried (trust me i cry almost everyday) but we gotta get our PMA back!! i have so much love for you ladies its seriously pouring out of my heart and soul. its ok to vent and be mad, but just know i'm always here to pull you back up...and sometimes we all need a lil tough love!! xoxo

lauren i read your post on the sept. thread, and i want you to know that you belong here as much as my messed up girl-part self, or any of us do!! when my brother had his first baby she was tested for dna and genetics at the hospital, thank god they live in ny state (one of the only states that test for extra genetic problems) and they found out that his baby girl had the make-up for Krabbie disease. its a very very very rare genetic disease that has a survival rate of the age of 2. they had to have tons of tests on her, and both my brother and SIL had to be tested...thank god they found out that she was only a carrier, but then we found out that it was my brother who was also the carrier. my neice is 3 and a half now and perfect! but of course since it was my brother who was the carrier i also had to be tested (like i needed more crap wrong with me right??) well luckily i am not a carrier!! but i just want you to know that i kinda understand what you are going through. what you did was such a hard decision, but it was the right one for you! xoxo
and i'm still crossing everything for you for thursday!!

tiger every freakin time with the meds right??? seriously!! haha! i think i might jump over to the fall group, because you are right...this damn summer group i started has had really bad luck...now am i not just jinxing myself, but i jinxed yall too!!
i cant believe your IUI is happening again! how much sperm did this man give you?? haha it will happen hun...i promise!! jon and kate plus 8 claim they only did IUI, and look how that turned out!! hahaha xoxo

ryann is this not just the longest week ever?? come on thursday!!!!

es i hope you are out keeping yourself busy during the 2ww, but you are being really quiet, and its making me nervous! i miss you, and i hope you are doing ok. when is your beta?? are you gonna POAS?? you know i'm against it, but just wondering!!! PMA PMA PMA and tons of sticky dust to you my friend!!

katie thanks for crashing in on me...AGAIN...seriously i hope there is a time when there will be no more crashing needed...on this side of the boards anyway! i cant believe you are going to have that beautiful baby girl in 2 months!!! soooo nuts!! sorry ive been a lil distant...its just hard is all....you know i have nothing but love for you! i cant wait to meet that lil girl asap!! xoxoxo

Just a quick update then back to getting ready for the first day of school which is tomorrow...

Of the 9 eggs that were retrieved, 6 were mature and 4 were successfully fertilized by ICSI. I go back Thursday for ET.

DC~ I was miserable and definitely more swollen after ET. I had a hard time sleeping last night due to lots of pain when lying down. Today I feel great. I'll be thinking of you and sending lots of good vibes for you ET. Praying we both get positive results.

Thanks to all of you for thinking of me these past few days. I can't believe that this time is finally here. When I woke up after ER and my RE came in to tell me the results I immediately broke down in tears (happiness and relief)...I think it's all beginning to feel more real for me. I have so much respect for those of you who have been through this time and time again. I honestly don't know how you find the strength.

Thank you all for all your kind words of encouragement. I'm so sorry I've been such a bummer lately.

Franny - thank you for sharing your family's story with me. It means a lot. I'm so glad you got your CORRECT baby in a box. #6 has to be it. I'm watching you, girl. This board better not be jinxed! Maybe the rest of us in our 2ww can bring the stats back up. ahaha.

Rebecca - YAY!! 4 is great! can't wait for Thursday!

DC - so soon!! I'm rooting for you. At least 2 will make it!...and then PUPO.

Lou - more hugs??

Ryann - one more day to start!

Es - where are you? I miss you. Seriously. It's weird.

AFM - I find out tomorrow. I might barf. you think my husband will get me lipo in lieu of a baby if it's BFN? anyone have a baby i can just have? preferably a cute one. thanks.

lauren319- i'm here! just have stuff to do w/ school starting on monday. good luck tomorrow! i'm sure you do not need lipo! you crack me up

dys- i'm not giving up. it's actually weird b/c the last 2 days, i have been feeling like i'm not even in the 2ww or even cycling. i told dh & he thinks it's my defenses going up. i don't know...whatever it is, it's helping me not thinking about it 24/7. my view at this point is whatever happens, happens...it doesn't mean i'm being pessimistic, just more realistic, i guess. cannot wait to hear your beta tomorrow! thanks for thinking of me!

rebecca- that is a really good fert report! you're almost pupo! will you be taking friday off from school? hope you have a great 1st day back at school!

franny- sorry, don't mean to make you nervous. just got a lot of back-to-school things going on. i had a 3dt on the 19th. my beta is on monday, the 30th...no way will i poas! i'm too chicken! thanks so much for your support! that really stinks about your baby-in-a-box being late, but glad it finally got there w/ the correct ingredients!

tiger- progesterone will keep you from getting af, so you're better off going in for a beta. but this time you'll be getting a bfp

dcrunningmama- i'll be praying that you'll have 2 nice blasts to trasnfer & 2 to freeze! i love strawberry rhubarb cobbler...yummy!

lou- sounds like you have a wonderful weekend planned for labor day weekend & it'll be just what you & dh need to re-charge! i will definitely be following you on the fall cycle board! if this turns out to be a bfn, i will definitely be back to working out...i love zumba & it keeps me in shape...haven't done it since before my vacation in july. this WILL work for you....you're a strong woman & i know a healthy baby is in your future!

ryann- glad dh will be helping you set up your classroom...do not touch anything! i hope they will be able to figure out a successful treatment plan for your dad...58 is still very young! that is so beautiful that your sister offered to donate her eggs if you ever need them! just take your follistim in a cooler. what kind of plans do you have friday & saturday? when i went to the beach for the day in rhode island, i put the follistim pen w/ a needle & an alcohol wipe in the cooler & it was fine. of course, you'll have to be discreet about it if you don't want people to see you.

ashley- your beta is the day after mine. i know what you mean about having that pma after you've had failed attempts, but we just have to, right? i'm praying for you!

karin- glad you had a good time! your worries about the physical traits are definitely legit & completely understandable. do how did it go w/ the status of this new girl?

katie- hey mama! i'm good...just keeping busy. how are you feeling? can you believe your little girl is almost here?

teresa- sounds like you had a blast at the wedding...good for you! my beta is on monday...i'm trying to stay strong for my embabies...i hope they're little fighters! let us know how friday's appointment goes! hopefully you will be starting on the 28th.

afm...just keeping busy w/ back-to-school stuff...going in tomorrow to set up & make some copies. hopefully, i can get a lot done. i'm keeping up my pma, but at the same time trying not to really think about it....if that makes any sense. the weather has been really crappy since sunday...it's making me blah!

So...I was online and on the computer all day...in between taking Hannah and her cousin to the beach and entertaining them. The girl I was interested in was chosen yesterday. I found 2 girls today that I love. Now I have to choose between the two. They are both gorgeous! Linsey is 25 and has very light blonde 5'7" 110lbs from Florida and has donated before. She got 13 eggs and 10 were fertilized. They did get pregnant. Jennifer is 22 and dark blonde 5'3" 120lbs and is a first timer. They both have beautiful siblings. I really like Jennifer, but after I saw all of her pictures, I got an email saying that she has been on Paxil for 2 half months. Paxil is for depression. The lady from the agency said that she had a hard time with something, but has come through it. What the hell does that mean? She said she would give me the details if I wanted them. I know that depression is genetic and that scares me more than the strawberry hair and freckles. She also said in her profile that her mom had a drug addiction that she has recovered from. Now I'm wondering if she has gotten it from her mom. The problem is that I still like her alot. She has so much personality in her photos. I will talk to my RE tomorrow and see what he says. The process does require a psych evaluation anyway. And for Linsey, she lives in FL....so I will have to pay for travel expenses on top of her fees. Plus, I'm wondering if 13 eggs is good for a 25 yr old. All of these questions I will be asking my RE tomorrow.

I did talk to my RE for a minute today and told him about my AF. He said that it was normal to be early sometimes when you've done a cycle and you have decreased ovarian reserve. He said that I will start bcp on my next AF...which sucks. I had no idea I'd have to wait another cycle. Now I wish I'd called him while I was away and gotten a prescription. So this will push me back even further....sigh. I didn't think that it would matter.

It looks like I will be joining you ladies in the fall cycle group. I'm hoping that a new group will give us all something to smile about. I will be on both as soon as I can catch up with this one. I've missed so much! I promise to do some personals as soon as I get a chance.

Lots of love
~Karin~

Karin...I wish you the best of luck in choosing your donor. Sorry that you got pushed back another month...that is one of the hardest parts of all of this!! I'll be sure to watch you over on the fall board!

Ester...Glad you're keeping up the PMA!!! I have promised DH that I will not lift a THING! Friday nights during the summer there is a car show in the town next to us that we try to make it to every weekend. Since it will be beautiful here this weekend DH and I are going with my parents. We usually walk around then find a place to eat, so I'll have to sneak into the washroom to give my shot. Saturday night we are going to DH's brother's house. They are HUGE fans of UFC and there is a big fight Saturday night. It's always quite the booze fest, but since I don't drink anyway no one will question me. I just know there will be a lot of nosey people there when DH and walk away with my needle pack! I'm sure it will be fine, I just like to over analyze things :) My MIL will also be there because she stays there when she is in town. She is SO anxious for a grandbaby and knows that we will be going through IVF, so I wonder if she will be able to contain her excitement over my needles!!! Get ready to move me on the list tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

Lauren...That is so funny...I actuallly asked my DH if I could get lipo if this didn't work. I got the "I'm not even going to answer that ridiculous question" look. I tend to get that look a lot :) I can't wait to hear your results today! I hope you have once bouncing baby boy!!!!

dys...can't wait to hear that beta rising! I can't remember the name of the protocal (although some very nice ladies here explained it to me once!!) but I am on Follistim and Ganirelix. It's nice to see success from someone my age with PCOS!!! That gives me tons of hope :)

Rebecca...I will be thinking of you tomorrow!! I hope you get perfect little embies to transfer and to freeze!

Franny....loooooongest week of my liiife!!!! But tomorrow is so close!

Lou...I'm so sorry that you are so down. I wish there was something magical I could say to take all the pain away :( It sounds like you and DH have a wonderful weekend planned, and you SO deserve it!

Where oh where is Tammy???

TOMORROW IS MY DAY!!!! I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve...I will probably stay up all night waiting for Santa to come! DH keeps reminding me not to get my hopse too far up because I fell pretty hard last time when they cancelled my cylce :( I'm a bit of a nut...I have an iPhone app called "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and you can type in your date of conception and it tracks the entire pregnancy for you...well I typed in what I THINK will be my ER date and as of today I am 1 day pregnant (I know, it's a sickness)!! This is the point in the conversation where DH rolled his eyes at me and told me to take this one day at a time. I deleted the app after my last cancelled cycle, but took the plunge and re-downloaded it. Maybe I should have left it off til I get my BFP!

Lauren319 - Hoping to hear great news from you today! I once told DH if we can't have kids after all this trying, I'm going to get a tummy tuck. He laughed...I guess he didn't realize I was serious. :D

Karin - Wow, what a tough decision you have to make! Hope you're able to have your donor all picked out and checked out soon!

In the AFM portion, I missed a couple hours of work this a.m. for my doctor's so to save time and get back to working, I'm taking the lazy route and pasting in what I wrote in the Fall cycle thread:

AFM, I just had my post-op follow-up appt with the RE and all went well. I found out the tube & e/p had adhered to the ovary (same thing happened with my Feb e/p when I lost my right tube & ovary) but this doc was able to "tease" the tube off the ovary and just remove the tube & e/p. Thank God for this doc because otherwise I could have lost my last ovary too. He said the left ovary looks good now - GIANT PHEW!! And he had pics of everything from the surgery for me so I could see the big blood clot, the adhesions, the ovary post-tube removal, etc. It was really amazing to see it all.

Sooo...we should be able to start our IVF cycle mid-October, YAY! We have to wait 2 months after the surgery which is fine because we have to do a lot of the screening before then. DH's S/A will be a year old in Sept so he has to redo that, I need to have the saline sonogram & trial transfer once my next cycle starts, we both need to do the infectious disease screening, etc. Because I only have the one ovary he's going to have me on the antagonist protocol. Thankfully, I can use the Bravelle, Ovidrel, & Endometrin that I already paid for when I was going to do the IUI w/ injectables and I'll just need a bit more Bravelle, another Ovidrel shot, & the Ganirelix. I'm so glad the $1000+ bunch of meds I already bought won't go to waste! So all in all, a very good appointment!

Lou--I think that a trip to NY is just what you need. The US Open sounds great! My husband has been and says its awesome. He loves tennis. Oct will be here before you know it! Hang in there! I'm praying for you girl! :D

Es--School must be keeping you busy. I'm sure it helps pass the time. Sending you lots of baby dust (I've been saving up) :D

Lauren319--You make me laugh....so funny! I'm sure that lipo is the last thing you need. I tell my DH...damn....I really miss botox! I've only had it once, just before our wedding and now I want it again. I also want to get a chemical peel. I was thinking about asking my RE about the peel since I'm now just waiting. Think of how much stuff we could get 'fixed' if we hadn't spent it on ttc. I am crossing everything and praying that you get a BFP! PMA! :)

Ryann--Just can't wait to stick yourself...huh? I know what you mean. I'm excited for you! You'll be pin cushion in no time!

Klinger--Wow...you have alot going on. I'm glad that you had a good appointment. You have such a good attitude. I'm not sure I could be so strong. You will be on your way soon!

Franny--You got your baby-in-a-box and there was no baby? WTF? Same thing happened to me....4 times! They have to get it right sooner or later. I'm glad to hear that you're ready to go again!

Tiger--When is your next IUI? You are such a trooper! It's going to work! I just know it!

Tammy--Just wanted to say hello. I hope you're doing better.

AFM...I talked to the agency about the Paxil girl. She said that she had a boyfriend she'd been living with and wanted to break up with him. She was feeling anxious about the break-up and moving out and couldn't sleep. I'm waiting for a call from my RE about it.

I hope that all of you lovely ladies are having a wonderful day!

Good Afternoon Ladies!

As most of you know I have been in Crazytown and Beta Limbo, well today I am in Nervousville! It is about time. I had some really bad cramping this morning and very small spotting but enough to have me call my RE. They immediately had me come in for an U/S. Can you believe that they would do that so early? I was freaking out the entire way there! I am only 5w2d. Apparently, they know more than I do. Go figure. So did the u/s and Im looking good. They could see the sac and after they showed me where it was, I could see it too. I can never see anything on the u/s but black holes. I have a few cysts on my ovaries, but that is what they wanted to see. I always thought cysts on your ovaries was a bad thing since I had to have one removed years ago. I guess not when you are going through IVF. My ovaries are huge!!! That was the tech exact words. That is why I am having all this pain and I still have some fluid. But all in all, they were very happy. When my RE is happy, Im happy. So they have cancelled my u/s for next week and I will go back on the 7th. I am happy with that. I am still a nervous wreck but no longer driving DH crazy. Well, not for the next day or so. It is so hard for me to think that Im BFP. I said to the nurse, "So Im offically pregnant?" She replied, " You've been that way for a few weeks now!" Still cant seem to grasp that concept. Knowing me, I wont until I get 4/5 months.

I will check back in later. Just wanted to share with my IVF Besties!

Just dropping in to give Cakes a big huge CONGRATS! I'm happy that they found the sac on the u/s and that you can count yourself as offically pregnant. Remember to still take it easy and dont worry it will seem more real when you starting getting the famous morning sickness.
