Lauren319 -- Good luck! I'm thinking of you.

karin -- Sounds like you are getting closer to finding your donor. How exciting! Keep us posted. I don't think the Paxil sounds like that big of a deal. Docs prescribe that for everyone these days...lol. If she did well on the psych eval, then I wouldn't worry. Esp if you like her that much.

Cakes -- How wonderful! I'm so happy for you. You give inspiration to other women in beta limbo that things can work out.

dys -- We don't know who we will see play at the US Open because the schedule isn't out but we do have tix to three sessions. We are going on Thurs, Sat, and Sun of Labor Day weekend. Andy Roddick is an american favorite for sure. I'm really hoping to have the chance to get to see Rafa Nadal play.

Rebecca -- Good luck on ET!

hey everyone

lauren seriously what time zone are you in because its late here on the east coast and i'd be swearing left and right by now!! still crossing everything for you

afm i started my first estrogen patch today, but then also got a call this morning from my RE saying that the embryologist just called them and said we needed an updated seamen analysis and we need it by friday or else they would have to postpone my cycle...ummmmm what??? i talked to the nurses at the start of the month and said everything was good, then i talked to the other nurse a week ago, and she said everything was set to go....soooo why on the day i start my meds do i get a call?? DH is perfect and has had 4 different analysis' in the past tell us so..not to mention the IVF cycles that were perfect...WTF??? seriously! and to make things even better is i was dealing with all this while i was in the waiting room of mass general (an hour away from where all my records and paperwork was at home) waiting for 3 hours while DH had an MRI done for his crohns disease. sounds fun huh?? well luckily DH's students dont go back to school until the 1st so that he is able to go get it done tomorrow. of course it has to be done in their main office, back down another hour to Mass!!
anybody wanna trade days with me??
good news is that it will be taken care of, and i will be starting my injections tomorrow...not stims though...just the antagonist...i still dont really understand what my estrogen priming antagonist cycle is really about, but i'm just doing what i'm told and happy i have another chance!!

dys..yup! tomorrow is my day!!! That is awesome about your beta doubling!!! Congrats!

Lauren...I am so, so, so, so sorry. Like the other ladies have said...do what you need to do, and we are here for you.

Franny...Yey for stabbing tomorrow! I can't wait to stab myself for the first time! Haha! I'll be thinking of you as DH shoves that needle into my belly!

Cakes...That is awesome news!!! Congrats!

Karin...I just thought I would throw my 2 cents in about the donor who took Paxil...I don't think it always means that there is actual depression. I was put on something similar many years ago due to a rough situation with an ex-boyfriend. It was used more as an anti-anxiety rather than anti-depresant. I was on it for 3 months, came off and have been fine for many years. I think if you like everything else about her, you should trust your gut. And as far as the mother who suffered from a drug addiction, I know that it is genetics and evrything, but you also just never know. My brother suffered from an addiction, went to rehab and everything. NO ONE in my family history ever suffered from an addiction...so it's really a crap shoot. Choosing a donor with no history of addiction in the family doesn't gaurantee perfection. If you like her, then, again, trust your gut! Good luck!

Klinger...sounds like you had a great post-oP! So glad to hear your good news! And that's awesome that you get to use all of your meds...what a relief!

Ester...I forgot to comment on what you said about my sister...it really is beautiful. She is the absolute best! In 2007 when they found my first tumor, the first thing out of her mouth was that she would carry my babies for me...and we didn't even know I would have trouble! This when I had my HSG my RE said my uterus looked a little tshaped. Well I googled and freaked out, and of course she overed to carry my baby again. I am so lucky to have her. But, I really think the first time she is pregnant it should be with her own child :) My aunt, who is 50 and done having children, has also offered me all the same things. I have a great support team! ONLY 4 MORE DAYS FOR YOU!!! My fingers are crossed for a BFP!

lauren319- sweetie i'm so sorry! i hope you're getting trashed as i type this. get trashed, scream, cry...just remember, we are here for you & you will get your bfp! (((HUGS)))

ryann- sounds like you have an amazing support system...good for you! have fun getting stabbed in the belly tomorrow!

dys- awesome beta & that's great that the progesterone increased, too! can't wait to hear how many you have in there! i was driving through oxford today & thought of you :-)

franny- i HATE when that happens! you talk to the nurses & triple check that everything is all set & good to go & then something like this...seriously??? glad that dh can get that taken care of. so what's the name of the med that you will be starting tomorrow & when will you be starting stims?

cakes- i'm ecstatic for you...what wonderful news! can you believe it w/ the low beta #s that you started off w/ & the increases weren't exactly doubling...it just goes to show you that ivf is not always by the book! congrats mama...you're preggo!

karin- that sounds like something really minor about the paxil...i say go w/ your intuition. yes, school is keeping me busy....i was there today setting up & will be there tomorrow. thanks for your words of support!

amanda- i'm so glad the doctor was able to save your ovary...what a relief! that is great that your meds won't go to waste...that's a huge $$$ saver! i will be stalking you on the fall board.

dcrunningmama & rebecca- good luck on your et tomorrow!

I just got home from my US/BW...and I have to say...I don't have the "I'm going to get the green light to start stims" feeling. I guess I thought I was going to leave there with my instructions for tonight, but I didn't. The ultrasound tech ended up calling my doc into the room to point out a new spot on my left ovary (last week the spot was on my right ovary...which is still there). RE said it looks like what they are calling scar tissue, blah blah blah. Nurse drew my blood and said she would call me this afternoon after RE has a chance to look over my scans better. WTH does that mean??? Do I get to start or NO?! What a frustrating process. I did peek in my chart and it looks like I'll be doing 150 units of Follistim Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and then go back in on Monday...that's a big IF I get the green light. Thanks for always letting me vent! :)

rypell- ohhh how frustrating! I hope the spot on your left ovary turns out to be nothing. Your follistim dose sounds similar to mine i was on 183ius and then dropped to 150. I hope you get to start today.

moore- i cant wait to! Its like my numbers are high for this early but some girls had it that high and it was only 1 and some had lower and there were 2 so you just never know. I just want a healthy baby(ies). I had pre-term labor with my DD so the thought of twins scares me but I will cross that bridge when i get there. Oh man you were driving by you should of stopped by my house :) So your beta is on monday! how do you feel? I'm so waiting for you to get your BFP! when do you start teaching?

ryann what happened yesterday??? did you get the green light??? hope you got good news and we can poke ourselves together tonight!

lauren thinking of you hun! please check in when you are ready.

es hows the classroom coming? this week has been going really slow for me (and all this rainy weather isnt helping) so it must be going super slow for you! how are you feeling? you are always on my mind my dear! :D

afm i start my injections today (ester you can move me on the list please!! yay) its ganirelix..i know its confusing...what i am doing right now is taking the estrogen patch and changing it every other day, and starting today i do the ganirelix shot for 3 days...still doing the patch until AF shows up, and then i keep the last patch on until it falls off on its own, and go in for my basecheck, and start stims on day2!
why am i doing this?? i dont really know haha but like i said before, i'm just happy i am getting another chance to try again with my own eggs (my old RE said she wouldnt cycle me with my own eggs again)
i'm off in a lil while to go with DH for his S/A! wooohoo haha
