Hazel - Good to know Zorba calmed down on the growth a bit. I hope you go natural and not have to be induced. I have had that before and I prefer natural to drug induced. lol Do you think you will go completely drug free or go for the pain meds? I am surprised we never really talked birth plans in depth before. Especially now that we are getting so close. lol Yes, the cowboy waddle... exactly! lol Andrew was looking at me strange as I was doing that on the way to the bathroom just yesterday. I said don't worry, I won't look like this on my way back. lol It feels like if you don't walk like that and go too quickly you might bust your bladder all over the floor, right? I found out that no one is engaged down there. The pressure is just the weight against my cartilage that has been stretching so that doesn't feel good. It is scary to think that we may be in the hospital around the same time. It's just too early for me, but now I guess my belly is bigger than yours at 40cm. In all reality, it could be any day that my body decides it thinks it is time. I have been an A student so far though so maybe I will last a little longer. I am surprised to have done so well holding twins in this little frame of mine. I just hope not to bleed or if I do that it isn't a hemorrhage bleed. That scares me more than anything. So lets hope you go first! lol  Beautiful Zorba bump by the way. lol I can se your button a bit through your shirt, how cute!

Claudia - Not sure why people keep insilting you like that. The old wive's tale about a girl stealing her mother's beauty goes to her complection not her ass. lol Plus, all of our hips spread to prepare for birth so that is why it's called an old wive's tale and probably why an old lady told you that without ven knowing you. I was always told that boys will make your butt look bigger, but that of course isn't true either. Our bodies just handle pregnancies differently. However, I have had a feeling from the beginning that Flick is a boy. No rhyme or reason, just my intuition and thus far I have gotten everyone's gender right that has found out so maybe... ?? I guarantee you 50% that Flick is a boy. LOL There was someone else with me on this if I remember correctly. ;) Either way, I bet you still look great, even if your butt got a little bigger I have no doubt that you are still holding your petite frame. Last time an old lady tried to say rude crap to me... I told her to go get a grave. No kidding. Alex was there and still remembers it too and likes to tell people from time to time. I was on the phone with my ex at the time I said it and he was like.. Did you just tell an old lady to get a grave? I said yes and he laughed for about 5 minutes straight. She just came past me in the grocery store and swore up and down at me for being on the phone in a grocery store. And I mean she swore, F word and all. Not like I was driving a car, but she didn't like me being on the phone I guess. Oh well, enough about that. lol Yes, a lot of love went into that nursery. I wish I could have gotten the paint rails straighter though. I hate cheap paint! lol Alex does have a bf, same one from last year that she dumped because it was rumored that he liked another girl, though he always denied it. The drama begins already! He texts her all the time (yes she has her own phone) and tells her how much he loves her and how hot she is. I am going to have my hands full and Andrew is going to start carrying a gun. LMAO

Pa - Collecting urine all day? What fun. (heavy sarcasm) What is the point of that? I never heard of that before. I suppose you can't carry a big ole container of pee around with you to places. I would think it would be better to collect it in seperate cups, but I guess not. Oh, I told Andrew that everyon loves the letters. He is quite proud of himself.

Katie - Not completely ready, but thank you! I am just waiting to get the panels to match the pink valance because the brown ones were way too dark for the nursery and the pink valance only covers half of the window so I really do need panels. I would love to get a 2nd valance but they don't sell that kind seperately, lucky me. Also the rugs that will match the colors of the nursery and cover up the nasty brown rug a bit. lol Glad Chris got the glider all together so now you are completely done right? The rocker in the nursery is an antique. It was what my mom used to rock me when I was a baby. I begged my dad for it when I was in PA last and he gladly gave it up. It matches the finish pretty well so it works. I get to rock my babies on the same rocker my mommy rocked me on. The simple things really do tug at the heart strings huh? I miss my mommy. lol The glider we have is downstairs where we have the swings and the fancy pack n play. During the day for a while that is where the babies will be so we can rock them up or down stairs and they have a place to sleep in any room the way we have it set up. It helps having it set up this way since I will b recovering from a c-section. Plus, if anyone who might come out to want to help, they can do so without going up and down stairs too. Everyone who has offered to help so far is old. lol Oh, yes Alex has a boyfriend. She has had a few, but all that means is that they each have the right to say they have a bf or gf. lol The one she has now is one she had last year. He is the only one to talk to her outside of school. He texts her, sometimes a little too much. You think she is spoiled having a cell phone at 11, nope.. this kid has an iPhone! His daddy is an officer though based on where he lives on post. I am sure you know that they seperate officer housing from enlisted. Officer housing is usually nicer since they have a higher BAH amount. I am sure that is how dad affords to give his kid an iPhone. Anyway, as far as the miracle grow babies... I am sure that I can get them to the 4lb mark. As long as they are at least that plus, I will be happy. I will feel like I did good enough. I can't help but wonder the different ways I might go into labor though. lol I seriously don't see me getting to the scheduled c-section, but maybe my bdy will surprise me. When my mom was born, she was only 3 lbs and she made it just fine. Though her twin brother didn't... BUT that was 1953 and medical science has come so far. There was no such thing as a NICU back then. I am feeling good about them being fine no matter what happens... well, as long as I don't hemorrhage. I haven't had any signs of that happening and it's been over 11 years since I last had a baby. I think the 11 year break helped a lot, making my cervix tougher than it was when I was pg for three years. lol

Bei – It is good to hear from you! I found out what gender I was having very early … it was actually around 14 weeks because I am getting weekly u/s but since it was so early they told me that they couldn’t be positive but they were about 70 to 80 percent sure she was a girl. But, normally physicians schedule your anatomy scan between 18 to 22 weeks and they will usually confirm the sexes (if the babies cooperate) then.

Gabriella is doing just fine … that you asking!

Gi – Yes, you are right, I am so uncomfortable right now especially after sitting for awhile and then trying to stand up. Sometimes, I feel like crawling … no joke!

Oh Gi, your DH sounds just like mine. I told my DH that he needs to get started on Gabriella’s room and he told me he has plenty of time. I said look, I have to carry her; the least you can do is get her room prepared before she gets here or I will be a severe thorn in your side. Of course, he just laughed as he normally does!

Katie – It’s funny that you say a lazy day because I feel like having several lazy days. We are on vacation and I am refusing to get out of the bed … lol. But, DH is very understanding, he said take your time and we will go when you feel like moving. Then of course I felt guilty, so I finally got up around 2pm so we could go out and enjoy ourselves.

Stephanie – So, Alex has a boyfriend already! I am glad that she is enjoying school. Please take it easy and not overdue it. It might not be a bad idea to add the progesterone weekly shot for you since they can’t measure your cervix length. I know my cervix length has actually gotten a little longer since I have been injecting them. They are very unpleasant but I keep reminding myself that it is what is best for her.

Oh Stephanie, I just love Angelina and Ethan’s nursery. They look perfect!

PA_FA – I agree with you. I would just rather they keep me high risk and keep a close on me. So you had to do the 24 hour urine huh. I had to that a few times in the past and I didn’t like it but it should be almost over for you soon!

Claudia – your get away sounds great. Please don’t pay attention to what that lady is telling you about your body. I am sure you are just a beautiful as you always are. But, I agree with everyone that you are having a girl!

Hazel – I love the baby bump! You still look great but I bet you are uncomfortable right now. Yeah for Zorba being 3/5th engaged! She’s on her way.

Natasha – it is good to see that you are doing well! So, March 20, 2010 was your big day. That is wonderful!

AFM – Well, we made it here safely and I am enjoying spending time with my DH. Even though I haven’t completely given up work … I been checking email and replying. I know … bad Angie but I can’t help it! Anyway, we went across the border today to the casino in Canada but didn’t win anything but had a enjoyable dinner at a nice restaurant. So, tomorrow we will go to the Henry Ford museum and maybe some other site seeing places.

Angela

Hazel - You look gorgeous! I love the pic and your yard looks great too. I hope you're not too uncomfy, but I guess thats a silly question at 38 weeks, isnt it? 8 lbs is fantastic. I was getting worried that Zorba was becoming the 10 lb baby, so I'm glad to hear that the growth has slowed a little, for the sake of your labor and delivery of course. Aw, its so sweet that your DH comes running each time you call him thinking that "its time" its so easy to forget that this is nerve wracking for them too. Good that you're all packed and ready to go - now its just up to Zorba.. We picked the closeset hospital also but it was the one I wanted, so that worked out well. If we had to we could make it there in 15 minutes. UGH, you are a true lady for not flipping out on that woman who just decided to put her hand on your belly. I've been dreading that! I already attract every odd type as it is, from the lonely elderly, which doesnt bother me, to the " I'm going to tell you my life story" strangers, so it must be something about me or my face or something - lol. Maybe that woman was a multiple IVF failure who was just looking (hoping) for some baby dust? Thats what i would have told myself to to calm down - hee hee. Hang in there soon to be Mum!

Steph - Oh, how wonderful to have the rocker that you were rocked in as a baby! That makes it so special! I know that you miss her greatly, but know that she's watching over you & your family ( soon to be bigger) I mean you got your double BFP when you were wearing her ring  Aw Alex & her BF - an OFC's son. yes I sure do remember how separated enlisted was from officers. Any time I got one of those awful invites to the officer's wives mandatory teas - i wanted to scream. My ex would try to push me to go and I'd dread it!!! It was so pointless to go and listen to them spout this nonsense about "supporting" them while deployed. I was like umm, hello my DH was in the field while yours was where? And for that I should have to take time off work? I ended up refusing to go after a bit, because it was super frustrating and a complete waste of time. But then i'd always have to hear how his career wloud be affected eventually by me blowing off "mandatory" wive's meetings - ugh. I'm so happy to not have to deal with things like that anymore! You have done an awesome job of growing those babies! I dont think Ethan & Angelina hitting 4 lbs will be a problem at all. But I have the same feeling you do, I somehow dont see you getting to Sept 30 either. But as long as the babies are mature & safe (which they are) I'm more concerened with how much you can take without being ready to want to get them out already! you've got it 2 times what I do and I'm getting close to wanting to be done too! - xoxoxo

Claudia - You still have the cutest belly ever. OK, so we're taking bets on Flick now? I'm going to vote boy - no particular reason, just a feeling. Well plus this is the pinkest thread ever - we only have two boys and those are the twin mamas who have one of each. Whew if Flick is a boy, he'll surely have lots of girlfriends to choose from late on - hahaha - Good luck with your GTT! it really doesnt taste that bad, just super sweet.

Natasha - no honey, i didnt know you got married in March either - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! So now the baby will be here in time for your 1st anniversary
I think that means 2 gifts - hehehe your anatomy scan is soon! Do you have a feeling about boy or girl? I did and I was completely wrong, I was sure I was having a boy - I was pretty surprised how wrong I was

Angela - I'm glad that your long drive wasnt too hard on you. Dont you feel guilty at all - with the long hours you put in each week at work? You must be soooo overdue for a nice vacation and some sleeping late lazy days - it isnt easy to that while you're pregnant. You deserve it! Have fun at your own pace!

AFM - Well I think the 3rd trimester finally caught up with me. Yesterday I spent 10 hours in pain curled up on the couch. I was fine in the morning, went to run errands and by the time I hit the bank, drug store, and was halfway through the grocery store that pain was back and wow! in full force, each step I took I think I was wincing and saying ow under my breath. I didnt think too much of it when it happened on tuesday, I just layed down on my left side, since this pain is on my right side and it went away in like two hours. Well yesterday was a whole different story! By 2pm it was bad, real bad. It sort of feels like sciatic nerve pain except its under my belly only on the right side goes down through the groin and halfway down the front of my right thigh. So I went home and tried laying on my left side again, but nope it wouldnt stop. It kept up and nothing helped, walking hurt, sitting hurt, standing hurt. ugh. by 8pm I was looking on Dr Google and you know thats never a good idea, all that did was scare me about preterm labor. It finally let up at midnight, so 10 hours total! It made me start wishing for early labor it hurt that bad. Now thats its happened for 2 days in a row, i'm stressing that it happens again today - (please no) And sitting forward hurts alot too - which sucks because it makes it really hard to type leaning back in the chair (what I'm doing now) cause I'm afraid of getting it going again - ugh. Other than that I feel fine, just patiently waiting for my OB appt on wed where if I dont get a u/s i'm going to pitch a fit after what am I up to now? oh yes 15 weeks without one! Luckily this will be the last new Dr for me to meet and this is the HR one, so hopefully he'll have an idea about this nerve pain? Please? much love to you all - xoxoxo

Katie- oh yuck!! Did you call your ob about then pain? My friend was having a horrible time with her sciatic nerve as well. I think the baby stayed there for a few days and then finally moved. Hope Savannah gives you a break!

Steph- how is Alex doing in school? And sept 30 is only a month away! Hopefully you can make it, you've done such an amazing job on those sueper babies so far! The nursery is adorable!

Bei- we found out at 15 weeks that one was a girl, but the other wouldn't cooperate. Had another u/s at 17 weeks and found out the other was also a girl...then made them confirm at 20 weeks just to be safe!

Claudia- you look amazing! People keep asking if I am ready to pop but still have three months left! I quickly tell them it's twins :D

Gi- oh wow! Looooong weddings over there! I have even more respect for you for making it through at least most of them!

Angela- can't wait to hear about your trip!

AFM- thanks for the input on the reflux. Sounds like that is exactly what I have, though it's usually not too bad. Tuesday I was feeling really good and took Scarlett out for her first mani/ pedi with my sister. Of course they just painted her nails and toes, no foot scrub or anything, but she loved it. Yesterday I started feeling crappy again. Ah well. Better today, but I am so sick of these BH!!

The GOOD news is that I just scheduled my 4d u/s for tomorrow!! Yay!! AND the hospital tour for next week. I am so proud of myself for getting those both on the calendar. I was debating if I even needed the tour, but I'm not sure where l&d is, plus I'd like to see the NICU just in case. DH can push me in a wheelchair :D I'll finally get around to registering as well. Hoping I don't end up in l&d for 10 weeks or so, but I might as well be prepared!

Katie- 2 days of pains???? Please don't wait till Wednesday. Call your OB now just to be on the safe side. I'm sure they will say it is nothing but pain is one of the reasons they want me to call asap. So....get on that phone girlfriend!
Oh and speaking of people touching your belly....HA I have already had 3 people come up and try to touch me. I'm like...hi, you are just touching my PB&J sandwich...baby is still much lower. Even my own mom was like awe I think you are showing. I was like...no mom not yet....that's just fat. THanks. LOL I have lost 8lbs. Who knew that getting pregnant was the secret to losing weight?

Claudia- You are just so cute and tiny! I can't wait till I get a belly!

Angela- Have fun in Windsor. I used to live in Detriot when I was 19 so I spent quite a bit of time in Canada. Loved that lower drinking age. Oh and there was a really good ...ahem...bar (male strip club)...that we would frequently have girls night out at. LMAO. AH...good memories. :)

Babyluv- Yeah for getting things scheduled! I made a list last night of things I have to do, tests, papers to fill out etc and when they have to be done. It really helped me to see everything on paper. WOW. Have fun registering. I can't wait to do that!

AFM- Nothing new today. Just working on making my schedule perfect for September. Moving all my trips around and trying to get better trips. Time to run to the grocery store for my mom now. She has multiple sclerosis and COPD so I do most everything for her. I'll check in later tonight. Have a great day!

Claudia – I love the baby bump pictures. I told you that you still look great!

Katie – Oh today was worse for the laziness. We didn’t leave the hotel room all day … lol. Well, I take that back, we finally went downstairs to the restaurant around 7pm! But we do have big plans for tomorrow. So hopefully I will be all rested up by then!

I agree with the other ladies; please call your RE and tell him/her about your pain. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Babyluv – I am so proud of your for scheduling your tour and 4d u/s. I promise myself that I will do that when I return back home. One thing that I do have off of my list is the registration. I completed that at 15 weeks but I still have to pick a pediatrician before delivery time.

PA_FA – it is funny you said that you liked the lower drinking age because my DH’s brother lives in Toronto and he went to see him for the first time when he was 19 in Canada and he said he had a ball. He couldn’t believe the age either!

Natasha – Your anatomy scan is coming up! That is so very exciting. Do you and your DH have any names in mind if you have a girl or boy?

AFM – Well, I hope our day is more productive tomorrow. We didn’t leave the Marriott hotel the entire day … lol. It was funny … I would become tired and fall off to sleep and then when I woke up and looked over at my DH and he fell off to sleep! Oh well, at least we are together right?

3D/4D u/s today = FAIL! Amelia was sleeping, BACK TO US basically the entire time. NO face shots. Juliette had her hands and feet in front of her face, moved them a few times so we have like TWO shots of her face, but that's pretty much it. The tech tried so hard, spent extra time, but no luck. Sigh. At least this place will bring us back for free up to three times to try to get a good shot. So next Friday it is. If it doesn't work, I may just give up because the place is 45 min away. Good news is, they gave us an extra bag of formula samples since we have twins (the u/s was the same price no matter what) and that alone is around $100! Soooo...that's something. It was fun anyway, hope next week works better!

Steph - What are you up to twin mama? i'm hoping that you and Andrew are getting some quality time in togther while the peace and quiet lasts - lol
Wheeee! 30 weeks now mama! Ethan & Angelina are moving right along, I just hope they're not jumping on your bladder lol
When will it start to cool down in TX? We've had a few days now of cooler weather and I hope it doesnt go back to brutally hot, but it will. Oh boy, the closer we get to fall the more anxious I'm getting about labor... I'm wondering how you're holding up?

Hazel - How are you feeling Mum? You must be so ready to meet little Zorba by now.. it wont be long now...

PA - oh honey it must be rough to have your mom have MS and COPD, I'm sorry to hear that, now how will you and her manage when you get into your 3rd trimester? Hopefully your DH will be willing to run errands for you both.

Natasha - oohh, you'll know soon if you've got a boy or a girl! So exciting!

Angela - aw honey it doesnt matter how many places / activities you squeeze into your vacation, just having some free time with your DH, thats the fun part, right? Enjoy, but dont overdo it.

Gi - Haha - me too! thankfully its been so hot here because trying to put socks on? sooo difficult! Probably funny to watch, just not funny for me - lol.
Aw that is so sweet that J is your first and only love - I adore stories like that! Has J made any headway on your nursery furniture yet?

Babyluv - Oh no, Amelia is a comedian already, huh? and then Juliette thought she was funny too? Aw, well its great that they'll give you 2 more chances to get a good facial pic, but I know, 45 minutes away isnt making it easier. OK girls, you need to let mommy see your pretty faces next friday, OK? How are you holding up on the modified bed rest?

Claudia- Are you and the cutest bump busy buying out the baby stores?

AFM - I probably shouldnt say anything and jinx it, but I think Savannah finally moved and stopped pressing on that nerve thats been causing me all that pain the past few days - yay! I woke up today and felt sooo much better, but I do think its triggered by too much sitting forward ( like I'm doing right now typing  ) or leaning forward to eat without dripping something all over my shirt, so far so good today. i did end up calling the OB's office and they said exactly what I thought they would, it happens sometimes, and she will eventually move off of that nerve, and to just try to lay on the other side until it subsides - so pretty much what I figured out for myself. I'm just glad that it stopped because last night it got bad again and I was telling Chris that there is NO WAY I can live like this for another 8 weeks! I told him (joking) that I'd go walk a marathon to make labor start if I had to -lol. - xoxoxo

Hey girls I have a question - What kind of diapers have you all been buying? I've picked up a 108 pack of Pampers Swaddlers with the umbilical cord cutout. Well I wanted to get another box and I find out that now every box even the newborn size is with that "dri max" which has been causing a stir with complaints of bad diaper rashes. I thought Pampers was the best brand with a good reputation? I've read all kinds of reviews and it seems like ALOT of moms feel this "dri max" is whats causing these horrible rashes - but its now in every box - what do you all think? I did find that Pampers Sensitive doesnt have the Dri max until you get up to size 2, but they dont have the umbiliical cord cutout. Is it really important? I mean cant you just fold it down before closing it?
Jeez, I never thought diapers would be so confusing???
