Itsmyturn - Thank you but as I said before the 2nd line was pretty light so I am afraid to be happy. We'll just have to see what happens on Tuesday.

Jersey- a line is a line whether its light or not so try and stay positive. Tuesday will be here before you know it. Thanks so much for posting those transfer dates so I could see what should be happening and when.

Itsmyturn- I guess the 3 days of bedrest was nicer last cycle when DH was home with me and able to wait on me hand and foot. This time he was working 12-14 hour days and I was home alone most of the time which wasn't as fun.

Kizmet- how are things with you?

Yarnista- did you ever retest?? Anxiously awaiting to hear good news from you. Hope all is well.

Melo/melmar- how are you guys?

AFM- finally off bedrest!! DH let us go out for dinner last night which was nice. Still feel random twinges every now and then but I'm sure some of it is psychological. Now its just another waiting game.

Hey girls!
I hope all of you here are doing well and those of you waiting for your Beta the time is passing quickly.
For me I'm afraid it's a BFN first thing this morning had a negative POAS. On Monday I have the official but I really think it's not a go this time. I'm feeling very sad but hopeful that we still have 4 embies left. I went out and bought some sweet fabric to make DD a sweet little dress. I keep telling myself how lucky we are to have her and my 14 year old son but the pain is still here. DH is doing okay, giving each other lots of hugs and kisses today and enjoying DD. Will keep you all updated if any new news. I'm 3/4 way done on DD's purple sweater will post a pic when I'm done! :)

Yarnista- stay positive. Things could still turn up by monday so keep hope. I'm glad yoiu are still staying distracted with your daughters sweater and a dress. I may have to hire you to make me something. You make so much great stuff you should start a website or something to sell some of your stuff. It could be a nice side income. Anyway- keep your head up!

Yarnista - Please just hope for the best. It's not over til it's over.

AFM - Girls that are taking progesterone suppositories... I just received my endometrin suppositories and I am wondering if I should keep them in the refridgerator? My clinic also prescribes suppositories on top of the PIO for BFP.

Hi all,

JerseyJane - hang in there! Maybe that is a line you're looking at after all. I've stupidly kept all my POASs and I keep pulling them out and looking at them! The one I did on the saturday which I thought was negative does have a very faint line on it and then the other four get increasingly stronger.

Yarnista - I hope things change with your beta tomorrow. I'm holding onto hope for you.

Blair - How was that pizza? Glad you're finally up and about again.

Itsmyturn - Glad you've already found a ob. My RE is also an ob, but I really don't like his bedside manner, so I'm going to my GP for a referal to someone else on Wednesday. I think my clinic has been unreliable when I've needed them, so although I'm sure they get outstanding results, I'm not sure they are right for me.

AFM - quietly but surely going insane. OK, maybe not so quietly. After bursting into tears on the phone to the clinic on Friday when they told me I had to wait til 7.5 weeks for ultrasound, I was kind of sooky all day at work. I had to pick up a script for progesterone pessaries on the way home. I got there and the pharmacist who had assured my on TUESDAY that he'd have them by Friday, tells me, "Oh, sorry, we can't get them. I've rang around a few other pharmacies and one in town has some". He offers to ring them again to put them on hold while I go in and get them, so he does. Only to find out they NO LONGER HAVE ANY. I'm in tears again by this point and the poor guy is trying to fix it but I'm just devastated because he had my phone number and had 3 days to fix it! So it was 6pm on Friday night and I am going to run out of pessaries by 6.30pm Monday! I found a compounding pharmacy who has promised to make them for me by Monday, but it's killing me not actually having them. I didn't want to fill the script before Tuesday because they are so expensive and if I had a negative I didn't want to have paid $100 for them and not be able to use them. Now I just feel like an idiot. I'm hoping that if I ring the clinic on Monday morning, they will have some and I can pick some up from them regardless of what the chemist does. Other than that, I've had a nice weekend. I took Bean for her first horse ride - paying for it now though as my legs are quite sore! Last night I had some friends over for dinner and this morning DH took me down to the beach for breakfast, a walk around the market and to pick up some rental DVDs which we've sat on the couch watching. DH is going to tell his kids I'm pregnant this week....that is not going to be fun.

Kizmet - Whatever it was on my HPT my mother saw it too and she said that's a line but I am afraid it's too good to be true. That was 8 days past my transfer so I am hoping that was a good sign. I still have not tested again and I am sticking to waiting til my beta, 2 more days yay. I am sorry to hear that you had to get stressed out like that. That is ridiculous, couldn't the pharmacy just order the suppositories? I just got mine in the mail yesterday, do you keep yours in the refridgerator?

Blair - Did the chart I posted help you? As you can see for most people 9 days past a 5 day transfer should be enough to detect on an HPT. I have read on forums where people will get positives at 5 days past but I think that is the minority not majority. I also see from reading and talking to people that some people naturally have high beta numbers and others don't. I think maybe those with high betas are able to test early and get positive results.

Yarnista - How are you feeling today?

Itsmyturn - How is the nausea? Did you try ginger ale and crackers?

Melo and Melmar - I hope all is well with you both.

AFM - Went food shopping this morning and feel very crampy. Maybe because I carried all the bags, who knows? Only 2 more days til my beta. Not sure if I am excited or terrified?

Jersey- sounds to me like you have a positive on your hands. If someone else saw the line you know you're not crazy. I can't believe you aren't testing again before the beta- you're a lot stronger than I am. I really appreciate you posting that timeline of what occurs after the transfer. I have been checking it everyday to see what stage I'm at. Not too much longer for you!! I don't know how long ill be able to wait to test. Last time I ended up with a positive hpt and a chemical pregnancy so I'm a little gun shy this time. Ill probably start testing on 9dpt- friday but who knows.

Kizmet- looks like your hormones are still driving you crazy. Sorry you had so many problems already. Hopefully things start to calm down for you soon.

Yarnista- how are you doing? Any progress with DD dress or sweater?

Itsmyturn- nausea getting any better? Hope you're feeling better- even though I agree with you that I think I would be ok with nausea just because I know somethings going on.

Melo/melmar- still doing ok?

Hey girls,
Just checking in, hope all of you are well. Tomorrow is my official Beta, and first day of school! Things are good here took DD to the beach today and caught crabs with her, she loved it! Trying to keep my mind off of things a little bit with plenty of distractions, cooking, knitting, gardening. Our teenager got back from football camp and had plenty of stories to tell.
I'm having a bit of a bad headache today but am feeling pretty good other than that. Making more progress on DD's sweater can't wait to see it on her and going to start a hat for my friend who's having a C section this week. Hugs to all of you!

Jersey - No, I don't keep mine in the fridge, it says to keep them at room temp on the packaging, also not sure how nice using cold pessaries would be!

Blair - Feeling fine today, so maybe things are settling down.

AFM - I received a slightly odd phone call last night (6.30pm on a Sunday night). It was my RE basically saying "Congrats on the pregnancy, I'll see you in 8 months when you've delivered". Huh, I thought I was supposed to see him again in 4 weeks but he says no, good luck finding an ob. What the? I really don't like the guy! He's good at what he does but really, the clinic tells you one thing and then does another! Like when I started the first cycle, they told me, you can get someone on the phone 24/7. First emergency I have (with the OHSS causing vomitting) I get a recorded message saying RE is overseas and is unavailable. Anyway, I just thought the phone call was odd. Next beta tomorrow, looking forward to that!

Question for you all - do you think I should tell my boss (nice guy, who will definitely be excited for us) yet or wait? I work in a lab, so there's a few things around that I'd rather not deal with and we often get landed with jobs like moving fridges, etc, which can be quite heavy. So should I tell him now at 5 weeks, or just do my best to avoid these jobs til we get to 12 weeks? I don't know!

Kizmet - Oh, that is such a tough one. Speaking about your boss, I just don't know. If you are close with him then I say tell him I am sure he will understand why you can't do certain things. On the other hand as someone who has had 2 miscarriages I tend to shy away from telling people in the beginning just because I get afraid and don't feel like explaining what went wrong. But since your job is in a lab and I am sure there are potential hazards in the environment I say tell him. About your RE now, WTF? Who the hell does that? See you in 8 months? I think at this point you are much better off finding a good OB. Maybe you could ask your friend who did IVF who she used? I think it was you who said you had a friend like that right? Why doesn't the clinic get their stories straight so to speak. My clinic releases patients to their OB's between 8-9 weeks. I even know some RE's keep their patients through the 1st trimester. This is crazy but I think it may be a blessing in disguise to be released to an OB, you're better off.

Yarnista - Good luck tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed for you.

kizmet- I think either way you would be ok, but I kind of agree that you may want to wait at least a few more weeks to tell your boss. Just in case anything were to happen it would be harder on you to face things. If you cant get out of the heavy lifting, and anything else that could harm the baby I guess you may have to mention it though. Good luck either way. As for your RE- what a jerk. I would not be going back to that place. I think my clinic keeps you until 8-10 weeks just to make sure everything is on track and going normal. Then they release you to the OB. Hopefully you can find a better OB though.

Jersey- How are you feeling lately? Any changes? I know your beta is coming up which is exciting!!!

yarnista- I have been thinking of you all morning. Hopefully you are receiving good news at your beta. Keep us posted and best of luck.

AFM- Still feeling random cramps/ twinges and am hoping that they are a good sign. DH is convinced that we will be expecting twins, but I would just be happy with 1. Trying to decide how long I can hold of POAS. Suggestions? I am only 6dpt today.

Blair - I cannot believe you are already 6 days past, it went so fast. You seem to be a very strong person with a great outlook so I say try to test in 2 days as long as you are prepared that it may not be positive yet. Then again maybe you are one of those lucky people who are able to test and detect positives early. I haven't tested since 8 days past transfer and I am dying but I am not giving in. The big day is tomorrow and if it is positive then they will have me return Thursday for a repeat beta where I think they like the numbers to rise at least 60% in 2 days. I am so nervous. As for how I am feeling, I feel good. A little tired earlier than usual and still have a heaviness in my lower abdomen. The thing with me is with my other BFP's I never had any symptoms either other than the OHSS. With my daughter I felt great, no morning sickness, no ailments, just tired so I guess I'll just have to wait and see tomorrow. I have to arrive at my clinic between 7:00-8:00 a.m. that is when blood is drawn and they usually call between 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. How are you feeling? Did you go back to work today?

Jersey- Thankfully tomorrow makes the half way point for my 2ww. It went slower for me, but I am ready for Sept 7 to get here for my beta. I was thinking day 8 would be good...I got negatives last time when I tested too soon and was surprisingly ok with it because I knew it was early. I may try and wait until friday but I doubt it. I did go back to work today which I think was actually good for me because I was sick of being stuck in the house. You are much much stronger than I am to hold off testing until your beta. I cant wait to hear the results tomorrow!!! And then hopefully you will have to go back thursday for more bloodwork!

I meant to ask earlier- Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get the knots from the Progesterone to go down? Not only are they sore but it looks like Im starting to grow horns or something on the backs of my hips. I have tried laying on a heating pad after- but then convinced myself that it probably wasnt good for bean to lay on a heating pad. Silly I know...but what I can I say.
