Blair - I really don't think there is any method to avoid those balls under your skin, but I use a hot compress. Lately I have been doing my own shots because I fight with DH when he gives them to me. Anyway while I'm filling the needle I run only the hot water, do the shot then wet part of a towel with the hot water. I usually rewet the towel one additional time. Since I have been doing that the knots don't seem as bad and when I do get them they go away in a couple of days. I hope that helps.

Itsmyturn - I am nervous and anxious about tomorrow morning but it is almost here so not too much longer to wait. I'm sure tomorrow will be the longest day ever waiting for that call.

Yarnista - I have been thinking about you all day. I hope you got good news. How was your first day back? Just the teachers right?

Kizmet - Did you start looking for an OB? I am with itsmyturn, get an OB and schedule a visit as soon as possible. My OB always does an ultrasound at the 1st visit, hopefully yours will too.

Jersey- I have actually been doing my own shots here recently too. Since DH isn't home sometimes I found it easier to just do it myself. Its usually less painful too. My knots usually only last a few days but I keep adding on to them. As long as this ends up with a BFP I would be ok with horns on my hips though! I'm getting so anxious for your appt tomorrow!!!

Yarnista- I forgot you started back to school today- how did it go? Hope to hear from you soon.

Hey girls!
My first official day of school was good just sweated to death in the 100 degree heat though with no a/c. The kids were happy to see me back, I was supposed to transfer and ended up staying so it was nice to see them happy I was still there. I had to go for my Beta late in the afternoon after school got out so I don't know the results yet. I'm feeling very teary eyed hope it passes soon. I think the hormones have really thrown me for a loop. I will post as soon as I know anything, Hugs!

JerseyJane - Not long now! I can't believe how strong you are not to POAS again! I'm impressed. Oh, and I got my pessaries from a different supplier yesterday and these ones have to live in the fridge. I'm fine with that though, since they were half the price!

Blair - sorry, can't help you with the knots other than to say have you tried massaging the site of injection directly afterwards? I sometimes get them from my insulin injections and this helps. We also do it on the horses when we give them IM penicillin.

Itsmyturn - You're going to have to take out a loan to pay for all those HPTs at that rate! I've quit them. I figured at this point, my HcG is going to be high enough that even if I lost Bean, I'm still going to be getting positives on the HPTs for quite some time after, so I'll just go with the weekly betas for now.

Yarnista - Good Luck!

AFM - I did tell my boss and he's thrilled. I knew he would and I know I can trust him not to say anything to the other girls. He also understands that the risk of miscarriage is still high. He's a good guy. I went for my second beta today, so fingers crossed all is well - I'm more nervous about it this week than last because last week all I was going to find out was whether I was pregnant or not, today I'm going to find out if that pregnancy is viable still, not a nice feeling. I've got an appointment with my GP to get a OB referral tomorrow morning, so hopefully I'll be able to get an appointment for the OB for next week and move that US forward. If not, I'm OK with the 7 week US, I'm sure it will be here in no time.

Kizmet- yea I do rub the area after I give the shot, but I still end up with some knots. Like I said I guess I will just deal with them for now. I may mention it to RE when I go next tuesday if its too much of a problem. Glad you got to tell your boss- I'm sure you're relieved to get it off your back.

Jersey- what time is your appt tomorrow and will you get the results right away? Best of luck- we will all be thinking of you!

Yarnista- it stinks that you have to wait to get your results. You are such a strong person for waiting. Keep us posted.

Itsmyturn- still feeling ok? When do you go back to the next appt?

Blair - My clinic doesn't schedule an actual time to have blood drawn. I just have to go there between 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. and have them draw it. Then one of the nurses calls with the results somewhere between 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Of course you know if it is later than 4 I will probably be thinking "oh my god, is something wrong, they probably don't want to give me the bad news, etc." I have been going there since Fall of 2007 so I am pretty close with 2 of the nurses. They have always been the ones who call with the good news. My only BFN was with my first FET and a different nurse called with those results. I am sure I am reading too much into this but I think my heart will sink if it's not one of the two that I am close with.

Jersey- try not reading too much into who makes the call. I'm sure they just get whoever had downtime to make the call. Kind of stinks that you have to wait all day but exciting knowing that you get the big news tomorrow! Get some rest tonight and I cannot wait to hear from you tomorrow. Tomorrow makes my 1 wk past transfer...only 1 more to go which seems like a lifetime.

Well I got the call at 1:12 my time and it's a BFP!!! I am so excited. My beta is 166 and now they will have me come in Thursday morning to make sure my level is rising appropriately.

Blair - It was just as I said, 1 of the 2 nurses that I am close with called. As soon as I heard her voice I smiled so wide and she said "Congratulations!" I am so happy she actually got my results and called me earlier than normal because she new I'd be so nervous just waiting. I am so thrilled but there is still that part of me that has been down this road before. I will feel much better after the first ultrasound.

Blair - Thank you so much. I am pretty excited myself. They didn't schedule it yet. They wait til the 2nd beta just to make sure it's rising. Now from past experience they schedule it for 2 weeks, so during the 6th week of pregnancy. Now I have to keep praying for Thursday's number to be good.

Hey girls!!!!
Jerseyjane: So happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations! I can't wait to hear about your first ultrasound!
Blair: Hope you're hanging in there okay and the time is passing quickly.
Kizmet: I'm so happy for you that your boss was happy too, that is so nice for you. I hope your next few weeks go great.
Melo and Melmar: Hope you are both doing well.

AFM: I had to talk to the nurse at my RE briefly during classes today and the results were what I thought. I'm doing okay just feeling kind of blue but think that's normal. I'm feeling very lucky that we have DD and DS and giving them both lots of hugs and kisses. I'm really looking forward to no more PIO shots, my butt hurts! lol. I registered for a grad school class today, didn't think I would go if things worked out but it will be something else to keep my mind busy. I spoke with the nurse about another FET but think I will take a few months to recup, feel like myself again. Will keep up with all you here and can't wait to hear all about everything. I will also post a picture of DD when I finish her sweater! Hugs to all of you. :)

Yarnista- I am sooo sorry. I know that nothing I say can make this any easier for you. I know you are a strong person and will make it through this. You have been here for us every step of the way so remember that we are here for you if you need anything. I can't wait to see the pics of the sweater though. Keep us updated.

AFM- one week in and already going crazy. I want to poas so badly but know its wayyyy to early to get a positive. Keep trying to delay it but know I will cave in eventually. Technically I should be having my beta sunday which is 12 days, so starting thursday wouldn't be too early right?

Yarnista - Thank you and I am so hear to hear about your results. I think it is wonderful that you are going to try again and I also think that taking a few months off for yourself is a great idea. We are here for you whenever you need to chat. What grad school are you going to? I got my master's with the University of Phoenix, I started at a university here in Jersey but it was easier for me to finish online.

Blair - I got that almost non-existent line at 8 days past transfer so I think Thursday is a good time to start, that's 8 days past. Just think that's only 2 more days.

Melo - It was so great to hear from you, we miss you. It sounds like you're doing well. How is Maia?

Kizmet - How did the beta go?

Itsmyturn - How is the nausea? Do you have any other symptoms yet?

AFM - This stinks that I have to go back to school tomorrow. Today has been so weird, all of sudden my boobs are starting to bother me, not really hurt but kind of throb and definitely look a little bigger. Now I'll be all self-conscience tomorrow wondering if anyone at work is looking me thinking, did she put on weight? I know it's probably just in my head but for the past week I really am so bloated, not to wear I can't wear my pants but just where I am slightly uncomfortable in my tight pants. But it's all worth it so whatever right.
