Summer cycle group

Teresa~ I don't know yet if any of our embies made it to freezing. I was expecting a phone call and I haven't called because I think I am afraid to find out. I'm so emotional right now that I guess I just don't want to think about it if that makes sense.

I went to my RE this morning for bloodwork. I just received a phone call letting me know that I need to do a novarel shot tonight...they also gave me one right after my ET. I go back to have more bloodwork done on Wednesday. This is my first IVF procedure. Is it normal to have these shots after the ET? I guess it just makes me worry because I am assuming something must be wrong.

ester oh sweetie i am just heartbroken for you! it just makes me so mad. why is this happening? its not fair at all! you are an amazing woman and i feel so blessed that you were brought into my life. i want nothing but the best for you, and you sooo deserved this. i know there is nothing that can help us understand why these things keep happening, and usually RE dont know either. my RE pretty much gave up on me...she said that the other RE's in the clinic didnt feel comfortable with me doing anymore cycles with my own eggs (i assume its because i keep messing up their success rates)! i am obviously in a very different situation then you as far as egg quantity so i dont see why they wouldnt let you try again, but there are times when RE's dont. but that doesnt mean anything...there are a billion RE's out there, and maybe a change would be what you need. i cant believe you have to wait until oct. for your F/U. that seems really long. anyway i dont want to overwhelm you with a long post (too late) but just know that you and DH are in my heart! Ester....I am so sorry to hear your news. I really thought that you'd be the one to turn this group around. Talk to your RE and I'm sure you'll be able to go again. Lots of love and hugs for you.

Well ladies it looks like I will officially be a Fall Cycle Buddy jumping on the October bandwagon! I am developing OHSS so after egg retrieval we are going to freeze all our embies and do a FET in October. I'm bummed, but I have heard horror stories about how sick people get with OHSS after a pregnancy, so I guess it's good that my doc wants to avoid that. It looks like my egg retrieval may actually be this weekend. My right ovary finally woke up and we have lots of good sized follies on both side!! I just hope we get a lot to freeze so we have good chances for our FET.

rypell- wow OHSS this soon? I've never heard of that. I thought OHSS comes after your trigger shot. I'm glad your RE is keeping you at check OHSS is really painful and scary i only had a little of it twice but i was able to overcome it with lots of potato chips and gatorade and cup noodles.

Ryann- Wow I'm sorry about the OHSS but us PCOS girls are prone to it because of how many follies we tend to produce. I'll pray that your ER goes well this weekend and you have lots of embies to freeze. Hopefully you wont have too many bad side effects from the OHSS.

Rebecca- Sorry I'm not sure why they are having you take a Novarel shot. Do you think they are worried about you getting OHSS too or maybe it is to help the embies implant???? I would ask Ghost or maybe call the RE back and ask and maybe they will give you an update on your embies.

AFM- My E2 came back at 111 yesterday so they are having me continue my same dose of Follistim until my results of the SnS tomorrow. I dont really feel anything going on in there and I thought this time last cycle I was feeling my ovaries quite a bit by now. Hopefully everything is going ok and I cant wait for my u/s tomorrow to make sure it is.

Tiger- Sorry I forgot to ask how your IUI's went? How did you end up responding to that new drug? More follies I hope!

Rebecca...no idea about the shots. Did you have a chance to ask your doc yet...I'm curious too. I'm sure it doesnt mean anything is wrong...so dont worry any. Did you get a call about your embies yet?

Ester...I'm sure that he will let you continue and you will be BFP real soon. It just has to work for you!!!

Ryann...I'm so sorry that this is happening to you. Praying that you can still have transfer and no OHSS after all.

Tammy- I read your post on the fall cycle and how exciting that you could have ER this weekend. I'm on Menopur too but this is my first time and I dont have my first SnS until tomorrow. I cant wait to find out how many follies I have too and hopefully hear if I'm still on schedule for my Monday ER. Sounds like we are still pretty close together.

Franny- I saw your pics on the Fall group too. You and your DH do make a cute couple and Piper dog is adorable. So catch me up on what's going on with your cycle! You are starting stims? Seems like I'm missing a lot by not being on the Fall cycle group. Maybe I should just jump over there and call the Summer cycle group quits.

Is everyone already on the Fall Cycle Group? Am I the only one posting only here?
