Antral Follicle count

Hello All, I am new here. Very happy to find this place. About me -- I am 33 years old TTC. My first IVF cycle is starting today but already I am very disappointed the way it is starting. I had a baseline ultrasound(Day 2 of my period) done this morning and I had antral follice count of 10 . My RE did another ultrasound about a couple of months(on day 11 of my period) back and she said she saw about 30 antral follicles. I am not sure what happened this time. Looking at the count of antral follicles a couple of months back , she gave me a very low dose of Follistim that I am supposed to start tonight. I didnt get to talk to her today to see if she wants to increase that dosage. For my age, 10 is too low. Does this count depend on what day the ultrasound is done ? Did anyone have this low count of antral follicles and get pregnant ? I am wondering if I should ask my RE to cancel this cycle and wait for another month when the follicle count would be higher ?

I am not sure of anything at this point and I am worrying myself to death. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

It is my understanding that the counts change every month. I had a count of 8. I got pregnant on my first IVF and ectopic on second so it is not the end of the world. There are a lot of other factors such as are the follicles around the same size when you trigger or egg quality that matter also. I would not be concerned with 10 if your RE is not concerned. It only really takes one.
