Angela - Thanks for the links. I am going to look at those! Congratulations on getting a shower from your co-workers. How sweet is that? Just goes to show you how much you are loved. :) That ordeal with the anatomy scan is rediculous. I got my anatomy scan when I was 18 weeks and here they are arguing with you over a few days? I thought 18 weeks was too early, but sure enough they said it was fine. It sucks you have to go through such crap with these people when they are so far away and had to come back from vacation to deal with it. UGH! It sounds like you handled yourself very well. I would have blown a gasket. lol I have little patience these days of my pregnancy. I even look at Andrew and Alex and tell them that they aren't allowed to complain about pain until I am not pregnant anymore and done recovering from a c-section.

Gi - That's great that Kayla's room is all done. Think you might post a picture or two? Yes, 5 weeks... just about 4 now to go. I am hoping that I make it, but then again I am so tired of the dicomforts. The discomforts out weigh what might happen if I go early so I will endure. :) As for your backside issue. I know they are common though I haven't had that issue. I have had an anal fissure though. It's a rip or tear right there where you don't want one. It bled and was very painful. It has since healed thankfully. Try stool softeners or fiber pills? Also there are creams you can get to help shrink them and make them go back inside. The less you have to strain yourself, the more they will heal on their own. Hope your bum feels better soon sweety. :)

Hazel - WOW, you are so close. I keep wondering which one of these days will be the day we see a post and hopefully a picture of little Zorba who will or should have a proper name finally. lol How are you feeling? I am the same, thanks for asking and babies are staying put. :)

Katie - All is well, no worries. :) I am glad all that diaper talk helped a bit. lol I am not really going to worry about the dri max unless I see it becoming an issue with the twins. I am going to just accept what I get. lol When it comes to actually buying diapers, I see us more going for whatever is on sale. Like that commercial, Live, Learn then get Loves. lol It's true! You go get the "best" diapers according to reviews and popularity and they are normally the most expensive. Then you find out that another kind works better after all. It might not be Loves but the point remains in place. :) I know what you mean about the tight belly. I have been there for a few weeks now. I feel bad that you have now hit that UGH part of the pregnancy though. You seem to be the kind who hates to sit or stand still but Savannah is making you anyway. It's a good thing in a way since you will need your rest. :) Oh gosh... you know, I think Hazel will beat my to labor and delivery though I am not too sure about us. lol I see you and I more on the photo finish of this race.

Sorry if I missed anyone but I hope everyone is doing well and happy!

AFM - I gave up waiting on my neighbor doing my belly pics. She is a professional and it would have turned out extra nice and all, but even though she said she would do it, she hasn't gotten back to me at all. I am not the kind of person to bother/pester until they do it. I mean, I want them done before I pop. Can't exactly get the belly pics I want without a belly right? So I improvised and had Alex take a some of Andrew in a few different poses with my belly. Then I used photobucket to help make a few adjustments like border and color. Andrew likes the bronze look so we went with that. :) They certainly aren't perfect, but I kind of like the old look they have to them. I guess I can post a few and maybe you fine mamas can tell me which are your favorites? I want to hang them on the wall by the closet. The wall is bear there so it could use some love. lol I think Alex did a great job. In the one pic of Andrew looking up at me, she caught that one candid and I told her that was a great eye she had to capture that. If I would have thought a little further ahead, I would have done my hair and make up and had a few more pictures taken of us with my whole body. lol I was just thinking belly though. Anway, I am doing as well as can be expected. Sleeping is so much fun. I snore, a moan, and to add to the list... I snort! My nose stuffs up so badly at night now that I suppose when I am not getting enough air I automatically snort to suck all the crap in. I have woken up doing this a few times now. How attractive, huh? Sleeping on my back with a slight tilt to either side seems to be the most comfortable. Totally on either side pulls too hard on the side facing up and no amount of pillows under the underside of my belly helps that pain and totally on my back crushes a few things inside that makes it just painful. At least I found a way to sleep. lol It works and I am satisfied. :) Ok, here are the pictures. Please excuse the stretch marks.

This last one, he liked it cropped smaller. That's why it's so little.

Natasha – Yes, I remember you saying that you are taking off a semester, which I think is a brilliant because you will want time with your precious baby.

Stephanie – I had to reply to your post. I love the pictures especially the last one with Andrew’s eyes closed! I even showed my DH and he said that they are very good pictures.

You stomach looks great … those twins are itching to come and join us.

AFM – We had a pretty good day today! I hope you ladies are doing well also.

The site wouldnt let me on it last night or this morning - sooo frustrating! I only have 2 minutes before I have to run out the door for an OB appt - wish me luck on finally getting a u/s. Savannah finally moved off that nerve because yesterday i felt normal again - yippeee! And so far so good today, gee maybe I shouldnt say that since the last time I did, it came right back  Now that i can finally sit upright without pain, i'll post & do personals when i come back this afternoon - I missed you guys! - xoxoxo

Hey ladies, just popping in to say hi! I saw my midwife today for my 39 week check-up - stomach now measuring at 39 weeks, b/p low as always, the only change is that Zorba is now FULLY ENGAGED!!! Yippee, but scary... So it's really just a case of waiting now. I see the midwife again on Tuesday 7th when she'll do a sweep to try and get things moving if they haven't already, and before then I have acupuncture tomorrow so I'm hoping my lovely acupuncture lady may do a few needles to encourage labour. But who knows...I think Zorba just plans to come out when he/she is good and ready and not a minute before! It's just that the closer I get to the due date, the slower the time seems to pass...I just can't wait to meet him/her and see what I've been cooking in here for the last 9 months!

Steph - aww, thank you for saying nice things about the huge beach ball stomach, I have to say it doesn't seem so beautiful a lot of the time and I feel the size of an elephant most days! To answer your question from last week, I really hope to keep the labour and delivery as drug-free as possible. But then I haven't done this before, so who knows, I may walk through the hospital doors calling out for the nice man with the epidural! I just love the photos of Andrew and your belly, they are so gorgeous - like angela, I especially like the last one with Andrew's eyes closed, it looks as if he's listening to Ethan and Angelina talking to Daddy through the wall of your stomach!

katie - oooo, they'd better give you an u/s today or there'll be a board full of angry IVF women! Can't wait to hear how Savannah looks and what she weighs... Please, please, please do make sure that you mention the pain and how bad it has been, and see what they say.

angela - so happy that you and DH had a good holiday, but oh honey I didn't like reading about your contraction pain overnight! What did the OB say when you mentionned it?

claudia - yep, just as I suspected, still the cutest and neatest baby bump around!

babyluv - hope the reflux is behaving itself. I'm a little jealous of you getting 4D pictures, I was half tempted but DH wasn't, so we ended up not doing it. You'll have to post pictures of the final products once both girls cooperate!

gi - oh, your nephew is so cute! And quite right too, clothes don't count as presents, at least not unless you're a girl and not until you're way older than 3 - until then, they're just boring! I'm afraid I can't help with the piles question, I've been lucky and escaped those. What did your OB say today?

Jeez! why does this site hate me lately? First it wouldnt let me in, then it just ate my very long post - grrr!
Ok so my OB appt was anything but boring today, my weight went up by 2 lbs, my urine has no protein or glucose spilling over - Yay!
Then they took my BP and it was way high! 140/98, so they had me lay down and tried again - it was the same, so a different nurse took it, and the same, so they had the HR OB take it and he sent me straight up to the L&D floor, I started getting really nervous because they didnt say how long I had to stay. I was thinking (freaking out actually) that I still dont have the baby clothes put away, or my hospital bag packed yet, the dog was home alone and Chris has a really long schedule this week
once they explained that I wasnt getting admitted, just monitored for awhile I was calmer. Whew! So they stuck me in a bed and the sweetest nurse attempted to put the fetal heart rate monitor on - and of course Savannah (ever the comedian) decided that this was the perfect time for gymnastics, lots of it! The poor nurse couldnt believe how many times she had to move the monitor- like every 2 minutes. She said a few times how Savannah is super active. I laughed and told her "oh yes, just when you want her to move - its like no way!" So they kept me for 3 hours and finally decided that Savannah is totally fine, just active like a hummingbird! the nurse even said that she can feel Savannah moving away from the monitor when she tried to secure it - hee hee. We really kept her on her toes today. Finally after 3 hrs the nurse said that every fetal movement raises their heart rate 20-30 BPM and that we're right on target. But the HR OB has now labled me HR, and I have to take BP meds twice per day and go for weekly visits. I did nag/ whine about my lack of u/s and he was so sweet and wrote an order for me to have a u/s every week! So yippee for that! So next tues I'll FINALLY get an ultrasound & and guesstimate on her weight!
He assured me that the BP meds are common and completely safe for the baby - so I guess I did get my tour of the L&D dept after all - just not in the way I wanted to - haha.

AHA! I figured I'll outsmart the site and post personals separately - no eating my posts today, ok?

Angela - Argh! What a runaround they gave you for that u/s! I dont get why they did that? I'll assume that someone forgot to write it down that you'd be a tad early for that scan? Well at least you finally had it and gabriella is doing great and 1.5 lbs already! And yippee for having lots of baby showers! we arent having any so I'll live vicariously through yours - haha. Umm, yeah, me too - I'm definitely slow moving lately, and waddling, just really slooooowly...

Natasha - Whats up with your sister choosing the same name? thats not nice. hee hee, maybe if you tell her that you've picked something different, she'll jump on that one and then you can sneak in and keep the name you chose - ok, maybe a little sneaky, but hey it was your name first, right? Oohh, nursing school and a new baby? its a good thing you're young and can handle it just fine. I've been putting off the bridge program from LPN to RN for awhile now
I wish I had just jumped in right out of school instead.

Hazel - I'm serious, every time I see your ticker - I cant believe it! And now Zorba is fully engaged!!?? That must be a great feeling to know that you'll have him/ her in your arms soooo soon! Hope your hospital bag is ready & waiting to go - and dont feel funny about if you happen to need pain meds, of course I'm hoping that your labor goes quickly so that you can get through it easier, but if you're hurting that bad, thats what pain relief is for. I already know that I'm a wuss about pain, and admire those who will at least give it a go of toughing it out. Bravo honey! Doesnt it figure that I have this awful sciatic nerve pain for a week, and the day before my appt, it disappears?? Now that its gone I can make jokes about it, but I sure hope it never happens again - ow! - xoxo

Gi - Yay for your nursery being finished!! Now I bet you're in there hmm, 4 times a day? or is it more like 8? Enjoy it Gina, you've waited a long time for this, I hope you treasure every single moment of this whole wonderful experience - hee hee til you try for another baby maybe? I'm glad that J didnt have too hard a time getting the furniture together and I cant wait til your sister posts a picture of it, it sounds just lovely. Hi to your Mam! :D

Steph - Oh, honey, thank you for posting those pictures! I loved them so much I just had to get Chris to see them too! I think your Alex has a good chance at photography - she did an excellent job! She takes better pictures than I do - she has a real eye for it. Is she very artistic? I agree with every about the one where his eyes are closed, its a beautiful shot, but I also love the one where he is kissing your belly too, something about how his wedding band looks against your belly makes that one my favorite. And seriously? I cant see not even one mark on your belly at all, so dont even worry about that. Speaking of your belly, how are the BH treating you lately? Are they still often, or have they been letting up? It must be fantastic having your man home for a while, yes?
Soon the house will be upside down as far as sleeping or resting goes, I think Andrew will be so cute with them, trying to get used to cahnging and feeding them
I think Chris will be really hands on, but only after he watches the nurses and then me do it a few times. he has already said twice to me "I'm afraid of dropping her" I told him thats a common fear ( I am too sometimes!) but I cannot imagine it actually happening. Now I can see, her learning that when she cries we both come running! Ummm, I really dont want to get her spoiled, but its kinda gonna happen no matter what, right? And umm, yeah, I think hazel will first (our fearless leader) and then its you & me - eeeekkkk! like I didnt get enough of a scare when I thought they were going to admit me today - whew, when she didnt have me change into a hospital gown, I knew I was in the clear, but no way am I ready yet! We need to bake these little muffins just a little bit longer, right? - xoxoxoxo

Katie - YAY for getting regular u/s's from now on! Why couldn't you meet with him first? lol Sorry you had to be a bit scared having to go to L&D but at least they are keeping a good eye on you. That's so funny how Savannah was moving all over the place. Sounds like her and Ethan will get along. Thanks for your input on the pictures. What did Chris think? Thanks for not seeing my marks though I can see them. I think the color of the pictures help disguise my stretch marks a bit. I can look and see them. Especially in the one with Andrew looking at the camera. They start towards the bottom and go up towards the front of my belly ending around where his mouth is. They just look more like shadows I guess. We ended up choosing the one with his eyes closed as the 8x10 and the rest are 5x7. We hung them up and they look great on the wall. Alex wanted to make something for the twins too (like we did with the letters) so Andrew cut out two butterflies and she is painting those. Once she is done with them, we will hang them up with the pictures. She is pretty artistic. She likes to draw and paint, not to mention sing and dance. lol I think the BH are ok. I try not to pay too much attention anymore unless I feel really uncomfortable/painful with them. I read that they should be around 4lbs now so that makes me feel better. Knowing they are always ahead, and they should each be 4lbs or more, I can rest a little easier from here on out if anything should happen. I wish I had a crystal ball and knew when and how they are coming. I still haven't a bag packed. We are such procrastinators when it comes to us aren't we? lol Always focusing on the babies and not ourselves. I think spire the few common fears that you and Chris will both do great and be perfect parents. Tell him he is not going to drop her because he will be holding her so tightly, there is no way any harm could ever come to her. Not to mention it might be hard prying her out if his arms so that you can have a turn at holding her. lol I can see him being very attentive and protective over his little girl. Boy is Savannah going to have her daddy wrapped around her pinky! :)

Hazel - WOW... you are still here huh? lol So little Zorba is fully engaged and ready to come at any time now. That must be so exciting. I hope Zorba hasn't gotten too big lately as you might need those medications if you do end up pushing a big baby out. lol I know that if I had the chance at natural birth I would want to take it. Though I did tell Andrew that if that were to happen that I know I would get to the point where I would likely be begging for it. It's hard to stay strong enough and put up with labor when it really starts getting intense. If you have ever gone a long time without sleep and started to talk a little nonsense, that is similar to what you might be like while in labor... plus pain of course. That's when all those not so funny things happen that everyone laughs at later in hindsight. Like I remember how I wanted the epidural so badly but the baby was coming so even though they were in the room to give it to me, they couldn't. I wanted to sit up for it anyway and my ex kept pushing me back down, I kept sitting up, he kept pushing me down. Finally he got me mad enough that I grabbed the back of his neck and pinched with my whole hand (digging nails in and all) pulled myself up and said in a demon-like voice... I want to sit up damnit. He finally was like ok, you can sit up. All the while I look over at the epidural woman and she has her mouth about to the floor and her eyes about popped out of her head. LOL I also almost broke his hand when he gave it to me to squeeze. Make sure DH knows not to give you the hand he writes with. You will do great though. I can't wait to see Zorba!!

Angela - Thank you for you and DH's compliments on the pictures. I think Alex has a pretty good eye. :) I definately feel like these babies should be coming out soon though I know they need to stay put as long as they can. If only time could go by faster!

AFM - Ok, ready for an in-law rant? So at first we were told that IF anyone comes out it will be his brother and mother because of lack of funds. Everyone is poor, they can't even afford a stamp to mail a birthday card. Now it is the brother, mother, the demon sister, the 3 year old, the step father, step brother, step brother's wife and their two kids, oh and maybe his grandma and grandpa. Umm... when were they going to ASK if we can even handle all these people after just having twins and major abdominal surgery? Who is going to feed these people? They are talking about taking an RV here, gas alone will cost them $1400 not to mention food on the trip here and back and they have to contribute while they are here because I am not supporting that big of a croud. They can't afford a stamp but they can afford a bill like that for a trip? I told Andrew I am literally scared to have his family out here, especially that many people. Recovering from the c-section, coming down from all the hormones from pregnancy, the stress of taking care of two babies, the stress of his mentally unstable sister and nagging mother critisizing everything I do. The last time we were all in the same place for a long time, it was my wedding where his sister yelled at me and started a fight right before the wedding making me late because she wanted to know why I wanted to marry her brother. Then his mother flipped out in front of all the guests calling me a liar and not good enough for her son, later to tell me that I shouldn't be a priority in his life, she is because she is his mother and he should never had left home. So what am I to look forward to this time? It isn't like she calls to talk to me and see how I am doing. She hardly ever calls Andrew unless it is to cry that he hasn't called her in too long of a period of time. I can handle the men in the family, they are quiet and keep to themselves, but the sister and mother?? His mother once made fun of me for how I wiped down a table after dinner. How will she act watching me take care of two babies? I know there is nothing I can do, I will have to deal with whatever happens, with whomever shows up and whatever they have to say, but I am still scared to have to go through all that when I should be focusing on adjusting to twins. Boy is this going to be fun.

good evening ladies

stephanie & hazel-omg you just about due! how exciting. YAY!

Katie- yeah i am going to be busy. it was crazy last semester with the ivf cycles and work and school but i did it somehow. the summer was a relief. im actually itching to start already back. im so bored sitting at home and nothing to do but search online and watch the same shows repeat on tv. im glad the have your BP handled. it'll be ok your almost to your due date. a few more weeks and it'll be well worth it all. the whole sister thing. rrrrr is so irritating. i was thinking about telling her we decided something else but that still doesnt mean she's changing her mind on the name too. but i just think oh well they will just have similar names no biggie. they are cousins not sisters. oh well if she decides to keep it im not going to stress anymore over it. yes i am young i think alot younger than all of you here. but i couldnt wait to have children. we found we both had problems and needed ivf to ever reproduce and we no that the older you get the slimmer your chances are. its actually funny that all the nurses and dr's think i should be in top shape being so young as they claimed but every test they ran on me i failed and needed treatment which was disappointing. especially cuz they kept assuring us that they bet i'll be ok and pass but the test proved them wrong and they were only looking at my age.

everyone else- i hope you all are having a good week!

afm- i had to change my anatomy scan up a day to the 7th because me and and both start school on the 8th and i forgot. o we'll find out a day sooner.

Natasha- Yeah for finding out a day sooner!

Katie- OMG that is soooooooooooo not how you were supposed to check out the hospital silly girl! I'm glad you are ok and Savannah was being a wiggleworm today. Yeah for weekly u/s. Very nice! Did our RE's office call you? They said they were going to be adding on a new part to their web site about real life testimonies and asked if I wanted to do it. I said heck yeah and told them maybe you would want to also since you and I both adore our Doc. :)

Stephanie- O M G....inlaws from hell! Do you need to move to PA with me for a bit while they are visiting??? :D I can't believe what they did to you on your wedding day. The audacity just shocks me. Yes they would definitely have to contribute. You are not running a soup kitchen!!!!!!!
On to happy topics...I love your pics! I agree with Katie though. My fave is the one with Andrew kissing your belly with his wedding ring showing. It really signals unity to me. But I do love all of them. Your DD is very talented!

Hazel- Oh I can't wait for you to have Zorba. I was telling DH about it last night...how you will be first and I got all teary eyed. These darned pregnancy hormones. UGH. I am so excited for you!

AFM- Just scheduled some prenatal classes today. Trying to figure out lamaze. For those of you who took it or are taking it, did your place offer an all day class or once a week for 4 weeks? Ours offers both but says that new moms should do the 4week class so it isn't such overload. That is going to be really hard with DH schedule. I'll already be on maternity leave so no biggie. I only have 2 months left...wow mind boggling. Anyhow just wondering what you all thought of lamaze.
I also got some of our registry started. I put on there the stuff that does not matter if it's a boy or girl. I still have to choose bedding. I will have to pick a matching rocker after that. Oh and a stroller. Gotta find one that DH likes too since I fully expect him to help push the baby! :)
That's pretty much it for me. I start flying again on Friday for 6 days. Well, depending on how Hurricane Earl acts. Who knows...my flights could be cancelled. :)
I hope you all have a great hump day!

Stephanie – Oh no, the in-laws are coming. They sound absolutely horrible. If I were you I would have to say no and if they do come they will have to sleep in the R.V. or at a hotel … lol. I mean seriously, is there room for them at your house with the two new babies, Alex, yourself, and Andrew. That is too mind boggling to even think of right after giving birth. But one thing that I do know about you is that you will definitely stick up for yourself and that you are a bright lady, so you can handle whatever they have for you … maybe Andrew will just tell them NO!

Natasha – yes, you will be a busy lady with your schedule but I agree you can do it.

Now, you have me curious, exactly how old are you? If you don’t want to share that is ok but looking at you, I say early 20’s. Am I right? Lol!

PA_FA – it is great that you are taking your classes soon. I am still battling my DH over whether we will or not. Obviously, he doesn’t want to but then I said to him I can’t believe that I am listening to you because you aren’t having the baby … lol. We will see. The schedule thing is a particularly concerning for me also. My manager, who just had two kids in 3 years, took hers all in one day and she said it was torture because she sat there for hours and she was already uncomfortable from being pregnant. I already know a lot from my nursing school rotations but it is so different when you are the one in bed having the baby.

AFM – I thought I would reply to everyone before I went off to work. I am so happy to hear from you lovely ladies. It was a little quite around here for awhile so naturally I got worried. Have a great day everyone!

Afternoon all. 5 days and counting for Zorba...that's the theory, anyway!

katie - honey, I'm sorry about the high b/p but on the bright side at least you'll get more monitoring now and you'll get to see little Savannah once a week! I can't wait for your u/s next Tuesday and to find out what she weighs! At 31 weeks I think Zorba was 4.5lbs and at 35 weeks he/she was all the way up to 7lbs, so I'm guessing if Savannah is more in the normal range for 33-34 weeks, she'll be around the 4.5lb mark. When you think of it like that, it does make sense why we start feeling sooo much bigger in the third trimester, doesn't it? Did you mention the sciatic pain at all, and what did they say? p.s. Ooh yes, my hospital bag is as packed as it can be, I just need to add the toiletries and make-up and I'm good to go! Ummm, first and fearless leader? Well, first, certainly, but I don't feel that fearless when I think about what's ahead! Soooo looking forward to the part where I meet Zorba though!!

Steph - I was going to say before that I can't see the stretch marks either, your belly just looks like a beautiful pregnant belly to me! Ugh, the in-laws don't sound like nice restful visitors. I'm not good with being patient with people like that at the best of times (and being on lack of sleep and recovering from major abdominal surgery doesn't qualify as the 'best of times', lol), so I'd definitely refuse to play ball in the first few days and just make sure you're totally ready before you let them visit.

natasha - how exciting that you're so close to your anatomy scan. Do you have a feeling about whether you're having a boy or a girl? It seems like it's very common in the US to find out and to tell friends and family what sex the baby is (plus what name you've chosen) but in the UK some hospitals don't tell you as a matter of policy so then it's a case of whether people decide to pay privately to have a scan to find out, which a lot of people don't.

PA_FA - enjoy the last couple of days without flying. I've never heard of lamaze but I'm guessing it's a type of antenatal class? We had the option too of doing our antenatal classes as a course of 6 evening classes or a whole weekend of classes to do it in one 'hit'. To be honest, if you've read into some stuff anyway and have some idea of things then I don't think it would be too much information overload to do the weekend one (although it may well get a bit boring and uncomfortable to sit around for so long), but for DH and I the point of doing the classes was at least partly to meet a group of people who all live locally and are due around the same time, so we chose to do the 6 week thing so that we got to know people better.

angela - your DH doesn't want to do the classes? If it were me, I'd tell him he has to - there may be situations where he needs to make decisions on your behalf or on behalf of the baby if you're not able to for any reason (even if that's just because you're deaing with the pain of a contraction and don't have any spare headspace to evaluate what's being said by the doctors!), and so he needs to understand what goes on during labour and delivery so that he can make informed decisions!

Wow, looking at the list, next Tuesday is a BIG day on the thread - my due date, katie's OB appointment and u/s, claudia's 28 week scan, natasha's anatomy scan, and the day before Steph's next scan. Going to be a busy, busy day...

Steph - Arrgggghhhh!!! WTH? You havent even seen these people since they tried to ruin your wedding day and now they think they're going to pile into your house as soon as you get home from a c section with brand new twin babies????? Oh, hell no! Now I counted who you ticked off and came up with 8 adults and 3 kids! Even if it was a month after the twins were home it would still be a HUGE inconvenience, but to just announce that they're coming??? That many of them? That is so wrong. Where are you supposed to put them? You'll need someone to be bringing you meals, not the other way around. Jeez, I cannot believe the nerve of these people. And ummm, his sister? sounds like a nightmare! like someone you'd never want to see again, never mind have as a houseguest while you're trying to recover from surgery.Nothing quite says class like starting a fight with the bride right before the ceremony
Oh honey, I'm so sorry. What has Andrew had to say about this? I know its his family and all, but you are his wife and trying to recover & take care of 2 newborns at the same time has to come first! I'm really hoping that they are just talking out of their ass, and wont really show up - it will be expensive for them so everyone cross their fingers that it'll just be an idea that never makes it to fruition. It does suck that neither Chris nor I have family, but I hear things like this and I'm sorry, but the first thought is whew! I couldnt handle that right after birth!

hee hee what you said about Savannah wrapping Chris around her finger- I think its happened already! He was actually disappointed to not get to see the fetal monitoring yesterday (and the L&D unit) but he was happy that its not only him that savannah plays the "you cant catch me" game with. As soon as I start eating, it never fails that she starts kicking away, and I dont know how she seems to know when his hand is ready & waiting, but like clockwork, she only kicks when he finally takes his hand away - its gotten to be a joke at this point. now he's calling her Ninja Baby - too quick for him - hahahaha

Natasha - So anatomy scan on the 7th and school starts on the 8th? The 7th is going to be a big day around here! I noticed that you went with pink in your ticker - hmmm, is that wishful thinking? And dont worry about being bored - as soon as you start A&P (anatomy& physiology) you'll be buried in textbooks

PA - Yes,maam - I got that call too, but I had spoken to Dr Rose about a month ago to tell him that her name will be Savannah "Rose", he was thrilled and had asked me about the testimonials then, and I said that I already sing your praises, so just let me know when! I definitely see a trip out there when she is born to show her off to his office, and for the good Dr to meet his namesake  Sorry I cant answer about Lamaze classes, I didnt take them - I'm a firm believer in pain relief through an epidural, I cant see myself turning down a pain blocker and saying, oh no its ok - I'll do my beathing excercses - but I am a HUGE wuss on the subject of pain, so dont go by me. I was very interested in the parenting classes, but after the first one was so basic, I didnt go back for the second - plus each one was just 1.5 hrs, so the first one was 1.5 hrs of playing with a doll pretty much, you know, swaddle the doll, burp the doll, change the doll. I guess my hospital thinks that everyone has done this already? It was pretty lame. FYI, if you decide to
special order the glider from BRU, they said it will be a minimum of 12 weeks to get it in. We wanted a darker wood, and darker fabric - but couldnt wait that long, so we had to go with the standard cherry, with cream color fabric - its going to get so dirty I'm sure. So you've got to order it early to get a certain tone wood, and color of fabric.

Angela - UGH your DH should at least go to 1 class with you so you two can decide if you'll get anything out of it, but I sure do understand the scheduling conflicts, Chris's schedule changes at the drop of a hat - all the time, its frustrating. I hope that you're not working too many hours, Gabriella needs her rest too

Hazel - OMG! So the countdown begins... I'm super excited for you, and a bit nervous too. I hope that Zorba hasnt gotten too cozy in there to want to come out and meet you two on time -lol. I was 2 weeks late myself, its funny that I'm such a stickler for punctuality since i started out 2 weeks late -lol.
And I knew that your bag was already packed, i was just teasing you! yes, I did ask about the sciatic pain, he told me that it is the sciatic nerve and that when pregnant, sometimes it gets compressed and will radiate to the front of your hip, groin, or leg. Big fun! he said if it happens again to try and walk it off, and if that doesnt work to keep trying differnt positions until I find one that helps. So far it seems to be gone - but I dread feeling like that again if it comes back!
Is your DH close by when at work? I'll bet he jumps every time you call him  thinking this is it! I cant wait for you to meet your new baby - xoxoxo

AFM - I had a nice day, a friend stopped by and insisted we go to this creamery for fresh made ice cream - omg it was soooo good! And then we just sat & chatted on this gorgeous overlook with an amazing view. jeez, I wish i did things like that with Chris  And then i came home to 4 loads of waiting laundry, fun yes?

Steph - SAY NO!!! Tell Andrew to do it actually. I have friends who really upset family by saying they did not want them for the first two weeks after their child was born, but that was their decision and they needed to do what they needed to do. I can't even imagine. Darren has asked if it's ok if one of his sisters comes for Thanksgiving, but her reasoning is to cook us a fabulous meal and she won't be in the way. Fine with me because I'm not planning on doing it! But he totally would have understood if I had said no. Hopefully Andrew will too, especially since his family is crazy. You can tell them they can come, just not right away. There's no reason. My parents met us at the airport when we brought Alex home and stayed for a few days to help, but they didn't even meet Scarlett for a month after we came home with her! There was too much going on.

Katie - So glad you had a great time with your friend! You are getting so close now. Sorry about your scare!! Hopefully that's your last l&d visit for awhile!

Natasha - So exciting your scan got moved up!! Can't wait to hear!

PA - good for you for getting the classes already (you are SO on the ball). I don't think we are going to do any classes...just wing it I guess :D

Hazel - I am SOOO itching to know what team you're on!!! NEXT WEEK AT LEAST!!!

AFM - I'm now up to peeing twice a night, and my back has started hurting today (YAY!). I think I've been able to hold off for awhile because of the bed rest, but yuck, it's not been fun this afternoon. Last night I got up and this time BOTH girls were crushing my ovaries (usually it's just Juliette). Wow!! I kept pushing on that area to try to get them to move (which they eventually did). Yikes, I think I am entering "that" phase. Oh well, it's worth it. I figure I have just over 8 weeks for my 36 weeks goal, so I can deal!

Tomorrow is the 3/4D u/s take 2. Hopefully they both cooperate! My Dad is also coming up tomorrow for the weekend which will be nice. I think my mom is getting a little home sick (she's now been here 3 1/2 weeks and only went home for 2 nights during that time) and I know he is really missing her. We are sending her home in two weeks for 4 nights (Darren is taking a day off to take the kids to Disney, plus it's a weekend he'll be home). She worries that I'll overdo it if she's not here, but she needs to go home and get things done! I can't wait until they both move up to this area (which isn't official, but I'd say probably 95%). I sure appreciate her being here!!
