Hello everyone and I hope that you are enjoying your holiday weekend!

Tammy, I am so sorry to hear that you did not have a perfect retrieval - it really sucks when everything goes so well up to that point and then you have one incident that makes it all go away. This is really such a fragile process that it makes you scared to live a normal everyday life. However, they did get the 7 eggs and I hope that you get a perfect fertilization report today!! Hope you feel better in the meantime!

Franny, I hope you were able to get out yesterday and enjoy the beautiful day. Waiting for those calls is the worst!! I cant wait until Fall weather really starts to kick in - it will do a lot to keep me outdoors to reduce some of this stress.

Ryann - Hope everything went well this morning at retrieval and that they got all 24 of your follies. Praying for you that everything works out great and that you are able to transfer on Thursday!!

Lou - Hope you are having a great time in NYC

Karin - Congrats about the donor! It's hard enough keeping track of all your own information and I can't imagine what its like worrying about your own as well as someone else's. I hope that everything continues on this very positive track!

Krys - I'm sorry to hear aboout your beta results. Praying for you that your next attempt will be the one that works! FET is sooo much easier although it does take some time. You can almost forget that you are undergoing IVF because you dont go to the Dr. everyday. We started immediately after a negative IVF, but if I were able to do it again, I would have waited for my body to regulate and get back to normal. I think one cycle waiting would have helped me get a BFP on the FET.

Klinger - The SA process is never fun and its great that your DH keeps such a good sense of humor. My DH comes with me to some of my appointments and it always makes him laugh to watch guys come in and you know why they are there. The range of emotions that you can see is quite comical. Also, thank you for keeping up the board and making sure that we are all on top of things. This is the first time that I am participating and it can be very confusing when there are a lot of people and knowing where everyone is in the process.

I tried to get everyone, but I know I missed some (many!) people. As I get to everyone better it will become easier I am sure. I am sorry I posted once and disappeared for a while. I was still waiting to hear official results back from my FET in August and even though I knew it was a negative, the actual call on Tuesday was difficult. So right now, I am in a waiting game. I didnt have to wait for AF, she came the day after I stopped the progesterone. So now waiting for my next Dr. appointment to know whats next. It hasn't been scheduled yet - I have to wait for my Dr. to write up all his notes and then they send a letter with their suggestions. The NP said that it would include surgery to get rid of the cysts on my ovaries first so I am thinking Novemeber is about when I will start the next cycle. In the meantime, I have to admit that I am enjoying the feeling of my blood cleaning out a little and my body returning to normal. Being on hormones for the last 5 months has taken its toll and I am kinda glad for the break. At one point, I was on 16 pills a day and 2 injections. For a girl who never takes drugs, this can take an overwhelming toll on the body.

In the meantime, I love hearing all of your stories and I am praying that each and everyone of you has a very positive outcome!! Baby dust to all!!!

dh & i got a puppy yesterday! it was completely random, too! well, kind of. dh's brother bought 1 & picked him up the other day. he brought him over to use & he was so cute. then, dh's friend told dh he wanted 1, so dh brought his friend over to the breeders' home, which is like 5 minutes away from where we live. i went w/ dh....& 1 of the puppies just gravitated over me to me & wouldn't leave me alone. i picked him up & the rest is history...i fell in love. he was $1,500...we had to put $500 down & then we pick him up the weekend of the 18th, when he'll be a little over 7 weeks (he was born on 7.28 at 5:11am). we'll give the $1,000 remainder then. i'm so excited! my rationale was none of the embryos fertilized besides the 2 that were transferred last month. we had to give the clinic $1,000 in case there would be some to freeze. there weren't any, so we got a refund check for $1,000 on saturday. i know it should've been put back, but i thought "what the heck!" now our issue is that dh & i cannot come up w/ a name for him. he is an old english & english bulldog mix...so freakin cute!

if you go on http://www.marshallkennels1.com/index.html& click on "pups available" his name is astro. the woman just hasn't had a chance to update the website, so that's why he's still there. astro doesn't fit him at all though b/c he is so mellow & peaceful. when we think of astro, we think of the jetsons & i think of something fast & he's so the opposite....calm & chill. we found that the name axel for a dog means "peaceful" but i don't want anyone to think we named him after axel rose...haha! i also love the name oakley, but someone i know just got a dog not too long ago & named him oakley & i would feel like i was stealing the name, but i love it so much! i think it's cute for a puppy & suitable for an adult dog, so the dog can just grow w/ it.

tammy i know you are disappointed, but i think 7 is a great #!!! i hope you are resting up and feeling less sore. did they give you any meds for the pain? did you hear about your fert report yet?? i'm sure you have some beautiful embryos growing right now!! xoxo

ryann thinking of you today! i hope everything goes well, and you'll be able to have your ET too!! cant wait to hear how many eggs you got!!

afm so i guess the hopsital had something wrong with its lab machines because they couldnt give my RE my bloodwork results until today. my u/s showed i didnt have anything measurable (over 10mm) yet, but the nurse didnt seemed worried...yet! i just got the call about my E2 levels and they want me to go back tomorrow for another SnS and keep me on my same dose. i'm not sure how i feel...it seems like this is going the same as my other million cycles, but i will keep going on and see what happens.
i hope everyone is having a great holiday!

OMG Ester your puppy and your boxer are so darn cute!!!! I love all the fur-babies on our thread!

Franny - I hope your next SnS gives you some reassurance that this cycle is going to be better than the previous ones!

Cheri76 - good to hear from you! I'm sorry that the official results from last cycle were difficult to hear but it sounds like you have a good plan for moving forward. Enjoy your break from all of the pills and injections and we'll be ready to cheer you on when you start your next cycle.

DCRunningMama - I'm so sorry this cycle didn't work for you. Take whatever time you need to heal and keep us posted on how you are doing.

So out of my 24 freaking follies we got 7 eggs. Little disappointed...that's like, less than 1/3!!!!! That's ok though-I'm feeling good about 7. It's DH's lucky number! Plus, I don't really need any to freeze since I'm gonna get my BFP and it's gonna be twins :) PMA right? Transfer is set for Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryann - 7 is a great number! No worries. I had 6 and 5 fertilized, so you never know. And you're right about the twins. Who needs a million embryos when you'll already have 2 kids?

Ester - I'm loving your dog and puppy. I think an English bulldog deserves a very English name. Perhaps also a last name. Clarence Cavendish? Nigel Gladstone? Rupert Clearwater?

Tammy - That's such a bummer about your cat. I didn't even know that was possible and am now looking at my cats as possible enemies. I still think 7 is plenty. I am very sorry that you are in pain though. Rest up, hun.

DC - so sorry. go scream and yell and cry and do whatever you need to do. Most of us have been there and will be here for you.

I know I'm missing everyone else. Sorry. But please know I'm thinking of you. Baby Dust.

I'm sure having the 24 number in your head makes 7 seem low but 7 is really great! And you're right, when you get those twins, you won't be needing lots of embies. Good PMA!!!! :D So Thursday is the big day for you. I'm excited for you.

Hi all, I'm so nervous and excited for my transfer tomorrow. 8 follicales were retrieved and 4 fertilized. I hope all 4 stayed strong. Well see tomorrow. After the transfer I am staying home for the rest of the week off my feet and laying down il not going to move an inch I hope. So I've been thinking about if all 4 r strong what will I do. Should I have two or three transfered? Any suggestions? my RE had said three in the beginning but I dont know now. Victoria

Sorry I have been MIA but our son has been really sick, high fevers and even with Tylenol it is not going down much. I am calling Doc first thing tomorrow morning. At one point he was almost halucinating and looking at me asking daddy, where did mommy go? He never gets us confused. Poor guy! It doens't help that I had a 3 day migraine also and get terrified when he doesn't feel this well. I am sure he will be fine. It probably is a really bad cold... girls you never stop worrying!
Thank you also for the support with my in laws, it felt good to vent!

Tammy - so sorry and hope you are feeling better, never heard of a shy ovary! 7 is great and I am praying for good fert report, it only takes one!!!

rypell- 7 will be your lucky number and tammy's too! let us know the fert report! keep the PMA!

dvcantu - 4 fertilized that's great. I transfered 4 the first time at 36 and we had our son! good luck on your decision

krys - I am so sorry big hugs!

DC running - I am so sorry for your news. Huge hugs!

Cheri - sorry for your news, I hope your next cycle is a blessed one.

Good Morning Ladies,

Just wanted to let those of you know where I am. As most of you know, I started with a very low beta and my RE was very concern. Well, this morning I went in for my U/S and the baby is doing great!!! Heartbeart is 141 and I am measuring at 7w1d. They have decided that I can now go to my OBGYN. I cant believe that they are releasing me so early, but they did tell me that I can call them anytime to come in for an U/S because they do not want me to sit at home, not knowing.

I really want to thank all of you for your encouraging words and thoughtful prayers. I dont know what I would have done without you all. Only a few people knew what me and DH were going through and those few couldnt relate. When I came on the Summer Cycle Group, I felt the connection and you ladies helped me out a lot. So to each one of you, I say, Thank you!

I will keep you all updated!

Ester--Your new puppy is adorable! Makes me want another one. I told my DH that if I don't get preggo soon, we'd get another one.

Tammy & Ryann--Lucky #7!!!! :D Seven is my favorite number! It's going to be the cycle for both you guys!

Victoria--How many embies are you going to transfer? Four is a big decision. Let us know!

Rio--I hope you and your son are feeling better today. Your post made me feel so bad for both of you. It's so hard to see them like that and with a migraine. It's so hard sometimes. There's nothing worse than a migraine. I suffered for years not knowing that they were likely caused by birth control pills. As soon as I stopped bc, they stopped. I'm on bc now to sync my cycle and it makes me nervous. You're right...you never stop worrying. Sending both of you lots of love and prayers.

Krys--I'm soooo sorry.

DCRunning--I was so sad to hear about what happened. I can't imagine how disappointed you must be. I'm so sorry.

Lauren319--I want to thank you for your rants about Fragile X. It was because of you that I chose to test for it. It's an optional test. The only one that's mandatory is CF and my RE strongly recommended tay sacs because she's french canadian. It makes me feel a little better at least. After all, I wouldn't have these tests for me with my own. Then, there's still my DH's genetics. We always say that God is going to give us what he wants us to have anyway...right? Lupron today? I hope that it goes well for you!

Cheri--I know what you mean about a break. I am moving to ED, so I've officially stopped my own cycles. It's been kinda nice not having to be on all those meds. Take some time to relax and enjoy the freedom a bit. IVF can make you feel like you're being held hostage. Get some rest!

Lou--How was the US Open? DH and I watched on and off all weekend and I thought about you. Can't wait to hear about it!

Klinger--You're awesome with the list! :D

AFM...Today was the first day of school. She is in 6th grade. I can't believe it. She's growing up so fast. Last night we had a huge bra argument. It's amazing how much she's grown. She starting to look like a woman now. She's got boobs and curves and I'm scared to death. She's 5'1" and weighs 98lbs. The constant battle about clothes is driving me insane.

The attorney received my papers and is getting everything going. My ED went for genetic tests and psych evaluation on Saturday. Now we have to wait for those results and we can get the green light for her to start stims. It seems like my girl is dependable so far.

We haven't had anything on the house yet. We had to ask for an extension on our contingency for the other house. They allowed it, so we're still hoping to sell soon. It's not exactly the best time with kids going back to school. We're not in a hurry anyway until we've exhausted all of our efforts with our donor.

I hope that everyone has a great week!
