Hi ladies, I do not know if I should be in this group or the summer cycle group. I am just looking for some possible answers. I had my ER on Friday 9/3/2010 and we got 14 eggs, 12 mature and 10 fertilized. For some reason the procedure hurt this time and I was sick for the rest of the day. Went back in yesterday for a 3dt and we transferred 3 eggs at 6-7 cell. I hope that is good. It hurt this time as well. My doctor told me my cervix is very narrow and it took him about 20 minutes and a lot of pain for me to get the cath to the uterus. Yesterday I had some spotting and one very samll clot. I am hoping that is from all of the trauma I went through. My husband said there was a lot of blood on the caths. Today, I only had a little bit of spotting and some mild cramping. Has anyone else ever expereinced this? If so, was the outcome good?

Chili – you are definitely going to get eggs! Keep up that PMA girl! I got really bad headaches with the lupron. That’s totally normal.

Klinger – I really hope that you are right and that I’ll have positive results on 9/10! What’s your blog? I love to read…

Riogirl – sounds like a lot of us can relate to the in-laws.

Tammy – I cant believe that happened with your cat, but 7 is still awesome. Try and not focus on the negative, we’ve got to keep your PMA up for the transfer in a few days. Hopefully you can let it go. Sending you tons of love.
Franny- how are you doing? Can’t wait for the update!

Wondercat – I think that sounds like a good idea. It’s easy to sleep in a different room and not be worried about your son being in danger! I would do the same thing! I think if they called that quickly, they will absolutely call DH back for the job.

Ryann – 7 is awesome and I love your PMA. We are both going to have twins…that’s totally right! Can’t wait to hear your fert report.

Cakes – see! We knew that everything was going to go great! It’s just awesome to hear this and you’ll be an inspiration to show that slow risers just need to keep up a positive attitude! Enjoy every minute of it and hopefully you’ll still crash our thread! I hope we can all join you soon on the other side!!

Karin – this is awesome. Seems like everything is going great with the donor. I’m so so glad!

Lauren319- you seriously crack me up! Yes, I’m at a whole new level with the suppositories. It just keeps getting worse, but I really hope it’s worth it!

Krys – I am so sorry about your BFN. Take all the time you need and we’ll be here when you’re ready.

Moorebaby- I’m glad to see you here, although, I agree, I wish we were both on the other side. This is going to be our time! Oh my gosh, could your puppy be any cut er! I’m so glad that you got him. Through this hard time, I know he is going to bring you lots of love and support. YEAH!

Victoria – 4 is fabulous. Did they tell you the quality of the embryos?

Lou- I was watching the match all weekend thinking of you! Did you have any delicious drinks?

Kbill- of course we have room for you! I know what you mean…it’s like hurry up and wait. I think you should trust your body. If you feel good, why not do the cycle after your next AF. I’m no dr, but tons of ladies on this board do cycles close to each other and get BFP’s.

Nancy – I know the financial stress is so difficult. I don’t know how we do it..i don’t do it well, I think we just ignore talking about it because there’s nothing we can do about it. I just think, well at least with a lot of sacrifices we can even do this. There are a lot of people that would have to make even greater sacrifices than we have had to and maybe even others that have to make the choice not to have children because they absolutely cannot afford it, so for that, I’m really thankful.

DC- I can’t believe it. I am so sorry to hear this! Ugh. IF is so frustrating! What are you thinking about now?

Cheri- it’s great to have a break. I decided that if this cycle doesn’t work, I am going to take a break in October and start again in November. I know what you mean…I’ve been on meds since Jan, and I swear my skin is never going to be the same again!

Dawgs – welcome! You are in the right spot. Sorry that it was so painful, but sounds normal. If the spotting gets worse, maybe call the dr, but if it gets better, you should be fine. Spotting with IVF is really normal.

Teresa – thinking about you tons! Sending you lots of love.

AFM: wow, I have missed so much!! I’m sorry I wasn’t here over the weekend to be part of all the exciting news. Well, things were pretty good with the inlaws…MIL has really cut back on the drinking, which made everything worse, so it was as good as could be expected. Can’t complain there. I’ve been up for a long time this morning, flying to NYC for work and I’ve been trying to get to my girls all morning! But, it’s a beautiful day in NYC and I’m on the rooftop patio writing to all of you! I just don’t know what to think about this cycle. I’ve been really good staying out of crazy town with the weekend, that was really helpful and then to have this work trip, it’s been keeping my mind off of it, but once I get home tomorrow night, I’ll only have Thursday to be in crazy town and then my appointment is on Friday morning at 8:45am! Yup, that’s right, I took the absolute first appointment on Friday morning. I’m just trying to brace myself for the worst, but it’s hard not to think that this could be my time!

Tammy - have you gotten a fert report?
Rypel - Any news?
Tiger - glad the weekend went ok... stay out of crazy town! ;) Fridays appt will go great - fingers crossed!
dawgs- call your RE, he can probably put your mind at ease, good luck!
Karin - I started bcp also so that might be what is causing the headaches, never had one last so long! Thank you! I would rather be sick than see our son so helpless and sick, poor guy! Gald to hear that everything is going great with ED. Wow, 6th grade... I have a SD who is in 8th grade, girls at this age are no piece of cake!
cakes - big huge congrats!
klinger - how was your holiday weekend?

AFM - my MIL is actually taking our son to the doctor today since I have a big meeting, humm, actually it is my HSG (hysterosalpingogram) at the hospital and there was no way I could reschedule it since it has to be on cycle day today and took me forever to get this appt. DH is unavailable in some big work thing today. Yickes, I feel like the worst mommy on the block since my son was screaming he wanted me and not MIL. It was very nice of her to take him, I did not expect it after all the hard times she has given us and lack of help, I am so glad she came through today! I hope my HSG goes well and I get my saline US tomorrow. My HSG is at a local hospital but tomorrow we have to go DH and DS to my US since it is 2 hours away :( we are ven taking the dogs - it is a huge family affair! Nothing like having your vajajay studied and scrutinized!

hey everyone

it seems really quiet around here today! no news is good news maybe??
i hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! DH and i did nothing..it was fantastic!! :D

tammy how are you feeling? i hope everything is ok. were you able to go out yesterday with zach? any word on a fert report yet?? thinking of you hun! xoxo

ryanni guess i am wondering the same questions i just asked tammy. any word on your embies yet?? how are you feeling?

lou are you back from NYC yet? i hope you had a great time..i heard that chelsea clinton was at the open..any sightings? miss you!!

tiger soooo glad the weekend wasnt as bad as you thought it was going to be! NYC for work sounds like fun. its beautiful in the northeast right now. its getting to be my favorite time of year! friday will be here sooooo quick now! i'm so glad you had things to keep you busy. its the best way to make it through the 2nd week of the 2ww!! i have a good feeling about this for you!! i am also doing the suppositories this cycle..my old RE always had me do the PIO shots, and even though they hurt a ton, you are making me worried about how gross this is going to be! fun fun fun!

es awwwww omg that puppy is sooooooo cute!!! i keep wanting a new puppy since piper is getting old, and DH says i want a transition puppy, but i really just want something new and cute around. my mom keeps saying not to do it because "how are you going to ever go anywhere with 2 dogs and a baby seat in your car" and "once you get pregnant it will be hard to take care of a puppy" so she likes to freak me out...i really think she just doesnt want more dog hair in her pool when we come to visit her haha :D

rio i really hope DS is feeling better. that must be so hard to have to leave him when he is so sick...poor lil guy! i hope your HSG went well too!! keep me posted!

chili how's it going stim buddy?? hope you are cookin up some good follies!! grow follies grow!!! wooohoo

karin thats so exciting about your donor! everything is moving along great! i hope your daughter had a great first day of school! where are you moving again? northern ca.? if i ever had to move from southern ca. i think the only place that i would be ok with moving to would be northern ca. haha

teresa did you have your ER today?? i feel like you've been really quiet, and i hope everything is going great!! let me know whats going on soon ok?? xoxo

dc soooo sorry hun!! (((((((((((((big hugs)))))))))))))) there are no words to make the pain go away, but know i am thinking of you and DH right now!! :(

afm i had another SnS this morning, and even though things are moving slow my RE said things are looking pretty good, and that i have quite a few follies growing..just growing slow...but together!! they said my B/W levels were looking good too (i dont ask for actual numbers because then i get google crazy, and thats not good for anyone's sanity around here)!! so i am still stimming and go back on thursday for my next SnS!!
thursday is also rosh hashanah which is the jewish new year!!! so hopefully this cycle will be the start of a great new year! if anything atleast i'll get to have some homemade matzah ball soup!!! yum!! :D :D

Hi girls!

I'm back and just trying to get caught up. Seems like I missed quite a bit so I've got some reading to do!

My trip was great. We really enjoyed the US Open. It's such a cool atmosphere to just "be there". Even though our seats were waaaay in the upper level, we could still see very well and were able to move down to closer seats that were unoccupied. Didn't see Chelsea Clinton, but I did see Billie Jean King and a baseball player whom I forgot already...lol. Oh yeah... Derek Jeter! Can you tell I'm not a baseball fan? I have to be honest... It was wonderful to not think about IVF for a few days.

Now that I'm back, I start my Lupron tonight! Finally ready to get this FET on the road!

Tammy and Ryan --- You must be super close to ET. Sending you tons of luck!

Tiger -- I know your beta is coming up quick. I'm praying for your BFP! And yes, the melon drinks were wonderful at the Open.... but at $13 each, we didn't have too many!

DC --- I'm so sorry. I know the feeling well.

Cakes -- BIG Congrats! I'm soooo happy for you. You are going to start us out right with good news that will keep right on coming.

Franny -- Glad to hear stims are coming along and you've got a bunch of same size follies growing. That's good to hear!

I know I didn't even get to half of you this time around... .still catching up and can't remember all I read.

AFM -- Lupron starts tonight!

Hi everyone, well the ET went very well. It was exciting to see. Out of the 4 that were fertilized 3 were strong at a cell of 8. So first the ER will not transfer more than 3 so the 3 was what he put in. I am now just resting with feet up. I have progestrone level check on Monday and prego test on Friday. Victoria

Victoria - you are PUPO!!! congratulations on 3 great embies, will the 4th make it to freezing?
Krys - glad to hear you have so many frosties! Praying for a lucky FET for you!
lou - glad you had a fun time on your trip, good luck with Lupron!
Tammy/Rypell - great fert reports and a smooth ET for the 2 of you.
turtle - doing nothing is great! :) we have a 5yo dog and a 4 mo puppy! And a toddler! Hopefully in 9 mos another baby!!! So we have our hands full but it is all manageable and they all fit in the car! What breed are you looking at? Some breeds can be more mellow and make it easier. To be honest with you all I get scared of is twins! :) if you want to get a puppy it is better to do it now and house train him/her now, havinga newborn and a puppy would be too hard, puppies are landsharks and babies are so delicate! Cause you are having your baby this time!!!! Great news on your cycle!

AFM - the HSG was painful with cramps but great results, my tubes are all clear after my ectopic!!! Our DS is better with low fever but soo much better - big relief! :) thank you for all the good wishes!

Hi All,
Sorry about being MIA, I've been soo busy the last 2 weeks. I've also had a headache since starting Lupron last Tuesday. My last post my head was pounding and I was even feeling sick. I actually called the pharmacy because I didn't know what I could take with all these crazy meds. This is the longest "hangover" I've ever had. I had my sns today. They found 3 follies measuring 10 each. They said that's good for my age. I'm not so sure. Thay also said it's good that they are all uniform in size. I was hoping for more to increase the chances of success. Does anyone know if anymore can pop up or is this it? Oh, I wish I was 10 years younger! :(
Thanks for all your advice on the Lupron headaches. I was working so much last week that I'm sure I wasn't getting enough water. That's probably why I felt so aweful Sun night. I'll do personals next post. I have to get stuck now. Fun..Fun!!
Love hugs and baby dust to all,

Hi girls...
Sorry I havent been on sooner...but we were gone all day yesterday and I came home exhausted and not feeling well and slept almost all day today. The girls on my mommy's board (some have been through IVF) have been asking about me too...so I wrote out a huge update (some of which you girls already knew)...that I'm just going to copy and paste all of it here...cause I really need to go back to sleep again now. I will read and write personals tomorrow night after the ET. XOXO

Thanks girls. I went to the Canfield Fair all day Monday...and over did it. Spent almost all of Tuesday in bed...sleeping and having some ovary pain.

My ER didnt go very well Sunday. I had 12 eggs growing...but my freakin cat jumped on my stomach at 3am...causing me intense pain...only 6 hrs before the retrieval. My ovaries have been known to move upward, get shy, and hide behind major organs especially when enlarged with 12 or so eggs...and I told the doc that when the cat jumped on me...that I just knew that they were going to have a problem and they did. They told me that they got 7...and weren't sure if they were the mature ones or not. He said that he was really afraid to keep trying to get any more...as he could have hurt me and put me into the hospital. They pushed my ovaries back down into place as much as they could...but they werent budging...hence the extra pain I am having now.

On Monday...I felt okay so we went to the fair...it wasnt till 10 hrs later and many miles of walking that I starting feeling bad. The good news is that the lab called and said that of the 7 embryos retrieved....6 were mature...and 5 fertilized!!! I was in shock! I was totally expecting they would tell me that they only had 2 or 3 based on what happened and not having 12 to work with after all.

On Tuesday...the lab called to tell me that 4 of the 5 are all 4-cell embryos with little to no fragmentation!!! The 5th wasnt looking very good. The 4 look very good and are right where they should be were her words...and compared them to last months when I asked and she said they were much better quality. Woohoo!!! Feeling positive about this cycle now and ET tomorrow...after such a rocky start....to say the least. :D

Rio - I'm so sorry everyone's been so sick. It's so much to deal with. I hope everyone's better soon.

Teresa - How did your ER go?

Victoria - YAY for 3. Triplets!! CRAZY EXCITING!

Lou - Yay for being back! I started tonight too! Do anything else fun in NY? My DH was there for a wedding and I couldn't do it. I thought I was gonna be preggers from the last cycle, so I opted out :(

Cakes - I'm so happy for you!!!

Karin - no problem, boblem. Actually, both of my sisters are also tay sachs carriers, so good lookin' out. I'm rootin' for your girl!

Nancy - Fortunately and unfortunately for us, we were saving up to buy a house, so we have the money to keep doing this out-of-pocket for now (insurance covers NOTHING), but now we get no house. I guess we could rent forever :) Buying a baby is difficult. I'm with you.

Tiger - I cannot wait for Friday! It sounds like you'll have enough to keep busy. Perhaps we could think of Thursday activities??

Franny - Um, I totally forgot about Rosh Hashanah and just got completely schooled by my mother. DH and I bought tickets to the Hollybowl on the night of the breaking of the fast. This should be interesting.

Tammy - GOOD LUCK TOMORROW! 4 is excellent!

Ester - How's Winston? Yes, I've named him Winston. There's nothing you can do about it.

AFM - started Lupron. Gettin' excited.

Tammy – Great fert report and hope your ET went well today!

Victoria – Congrats on your ET and being PUPO!! Now we’ll wait with you on pins and needles for 9/17 to get here for your beta!

Chili – So sorry you’re having to deal with those horrible headaches. And hope your next SnS shows some more great follies!

Lou – Glad you’re back and yay for starting your lupron!

Lauren319 - I'd be excited to! You're officially underway now!

Franny – hope your SnS goes well tomorrow!

Ryann – How are your embies doing? Are you still on tap for transfer tomorrow?

Rio – My weekend was good – did a whole bunch of nothing which made it a relaxing weekend!

Tiger – Great to see you back and glad you survived the weekend with the in-laws! Can’t wait until Friday to hear the results! And here was the URL for my blog http://thealsbaby.blogspot.com/.

Dawgs1257 – Welcome to the thread! I added you to the list. Just let me know when your beta is scheduled and I’ll add that as well.

Cakes – Congrats, I’m so happy for you! Be sure to keep us posted on how you’re doing!

Karin – Glad things are moving right along on the ED process! And it is hard to see your kids grow up so fast. I remember my daughter sitting me down about half way through her senior year of high school to apologize for being so exhausting and hormonal during junior-high and high school. It was like the stranger living in my house for the last four years left and my wonderful, thoughtful daughter had returned. You’re post reminded me of that time so thanks!

Ok so here I am just resting. U know the worst time of ivf. And of course the thinking is driving me crazy. First of all they gave me a picture of the three 8 cell. So stupid me I start to look at the difference of 3 to 5 day transfer and start thinking if maybe the ER should have waited two more days. Then I start thinking well if I stay in bed two more days to when the cells r blastocyts ( I know not spelled right) and then they hatch should I continue to stay off my feet. I know I know they say to go back to normal activity but we r not like the regular women and we need more days maybe that's what makes the difference. Oh shoot I'm just thinking to much right. It's that I want to make sure that I make everything right. Please someone talk to me I'm here alone just making myself crazy. Victoria

Victoria -- I had a three day transfer of two perfect 8 cell embies and it was BFN... so the next time I transferred 3 embies on day 3 and was convinced it was also going to fail because it wasn't a blastocyst transfer. Well, I did get pregnant! Unfortunately, I m/c at 12 weeks. I stayed off my feet the day of transfer then went back to light activity until beta. It's out of your hands now.... there's nothing you can do at this point to change the outcome so try not to stress! You transferred 3 which gives you great odds. My last cycle, I had 4 beautiful blastocysts and transferred two and froze two. My fresh transfer was BFN. We were shocked. Now I'm going for an FET with my last two blasts. I'm told FET has lower success rates, but my bosses daughter in law just had twins from an FET after 3 failed fresh cycles. So who knows what will work. Have faith!
