Tammy - Congrats and WOW on being PUPO x 5!! :D I'm so glad these embies were looking better than last cycle. Hope you can rest up the next couple of days with Bill being home...it's a pipe dream, I know, but I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll actually get to rest.

Ryann - Good luck today with your transfer! I can't imagine that they'd cancel for that so let us know how it goes. You'll be PUPO later today...woo-hoo!!

Franny - Hope your SnS today shows some great progess!

Teresa - How did your ER go? Have you heard how your embies are doing?

Tiger - I'm hoping that AF stays far, far away from you and that tomorrow's beta is going to be a beautiful BFP!

Karin - Sorry to hear how difficult it's been with Hannah. I hope things turn around soon. You're doing a wonderful job in a very difficult situation so kudos to you.

Chili - Happy belated birthday! Hope your SnS today goes great!

I have a low egg reserve for my age is why they are pushing the donor egg. We never get many eggs and when we do we only have a couple of good ones. In my mind I think well all we need is a couple of good ones, but DH is ready for a baby. He said it is my choice, but he doesn't mind a donor egg as long as we get a baby. The cost at the new clinic for a duel IVF is about 28,000. We have half of that amount saved up. DH & I were so tired yesterday after spending the morning at the new place we just came home and crashed. I guess stress does that to you. I am sorry I haven't done personals, but I hope everyone is doing well.

karin1 wrote:Amanda...when I read your post it sounds so familiar. You're so young to have to consider DE so soon. I felt like when my RE started bringing it up that he just wanted my money and a success under his belt. Now when I look back, he was preparing me for it. I was in complete denial. I kept thinking that I would magically produce more eggs and I wasn't. I've finally come to terms with it. It's alot to consider. I try to think of the positives of ED. The genetic testing alone eases your mind some. They tests for stuff that you don't get tested for yourself. Plus, the fact that the eggs are soooo much younger helps lower the risk of other stuff too. It's not a guarantee of perfection, but it makes you feel a little better. A higher percentage chance of conceiving helps too. Some say 70%. I think that it's a great idea to do a cycle along with an ED. I would have if I were younger. That's your advantage. The cost of it all is pretty overwhelming too. Does your insurance cover anything? My advice would be to start looking at ED agencies. Finding the right match can be a process too. I wish you all the luck in the world to have your own. I really do. If you have any questions that I can help with, let me know. Not that I'm an expert. I'm still learning. I will be happy to help.

Thank you Karin. I am not sure what to ask yet :) I think I am still trying to come to terms with it, but once I come up with some I will be definetly looking your way. :)

Klinger...my beta is 9.22.10...but I plan to test earlier. lol I was thinking about testing on Zach's bday on the 18th at 13dpo...but I now think I will start on the 16th at 11dpo (the earliest I've gotten a bfp)...so if it is negative...I can get the tears out of the way before his big day and party...or better yet (thinking positive) celebrate just the 3 of us...before telling everyone else the good news. They all know.

Teresa...We miss you! How are you doing?

Franny...Good Luck today...cant wait to hear your update!

Chili...Hope your SnS shows some great follies growing today! What protocol are you on again?

Ryann...Yeah your doc is making me mad ...always threatening cancellation. I'm praying that everything works out and that you're PUPO today! Good Luck!

Amanda...Get some rest! New place? I must have missed that.

Tiger...Good Luck tomorrow! I think you should poas for me. lol

Rio...How is your little one doing?

Zach woke up this morning covered in a diarrhea blow out diaper...all through his bed, too. Poor Daddy. lol Sorry but I cant help but laugh.

Hi all,
Chili- thank u I'm glad I found u guys

Rio- thanks, yes we r doing lots of PMA!

Ryann- I can so relate with the principal issue. We started 3 weeks ago but she was really good about letting me do my daily morning blood work and going in late. Well in really it wad better gor her for me to be 1 hour late that being out all morning. Plus I got to save my days.

Tiger- I didn't know that but pineapple it is! Thanks and lots of PMA for u

Tammy- thank u good luck on your 5 embabies lots of PMA for u too and isn't it great being PUPO. I feel blessed just coming this far.

AFM- still home resting I know I know whatever happens happens but Im a 5th grade teacher and I'll be on my feet all day and classes switching so just want to rest for now. I'm not ready to go back just yet. But a least I'm not in crazy world any more. Thanks to u guys. This support is great again thank u. Victoria

Ryan -- GL! I really hope you weren't cancelled.... I don't think you will be... but I'm rooting for you!!!

Amanda -- I think a dual cycle is an excellent option for you. It's a lot of $ but remember, donor cycles have success rates up to 80%! And you will likely have frosties from it to use later for that sibling.

Tammy -- You're PUPO x 5! Holy Cow!!! That's great. This is soooo going to work for you. I know it! Haha.... still laughing over the "diarrhea blow out diaper" your DH had to deal with.

Tiger -- Good luck tomorrow my dear friend. I am thinking about you and sending all the positive vibes I can. Hope your work travels have kept your mind busy at least.

Victoria -- Yes, stay out of Crazy Town. Enjoy the fact that you very well could be pregnant. Don't give in to the Evil sticks either!

Chili -- GL on SnS! You're my hero! Happy 47th!

Karin -- Awww.... Sorry about your fight with Hannah. I hope the psychologist can help. Some day she will realize how important you are and appreciate all you've done for her. Hang in there. You don't need any more stress.... like IVF isn't enough!

Franny, Klinger, Lauren, and Lauren, and everyone else --- How are you all?

AFM -- Oktoberfest at work today. I'm serving Apple Strudel from 1pm-2:30PM. Also it's my 15th anniversary. Too bad DH is working tonight. It really went by fast. 15 wonderful years together. I can't believe it! Despite this whole "can't have a baby thing".... I am truly blessed with the man who loves me. Third night of Lupron tonight.... so far, so good! I really hope my FET goes on as planned.

Tammy- yeah for your transfer..even though you had to pee a few times! YOU ARE PUPO! When is your beta?

Ryann- I don’t think you should have to cancel. Why?? I don’t understand?

Teresa – how are you doing???

Lou- HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Any fun plans? You are just the best. Love you tons. I hope the nasty lupron headaches are not plaguing you!

Franny – sending you lots of hugs today! Can’t wait to hear about your appointment tomorrow.

AFM…so sure as shit, I get back from my trip and with those nasty sticks under my sink, I couldn’t resist this morning. A big fat negative. I am still going to go to my Beta tomorrow morning, but I’m really prepared for the worst. Why does this keep happening to me? I just don’t know if I have the strength.

Tiger - HPTs are wrong all the time, when I was very pregnant it still showed negative so I have hope for you and will pray you get your BFP!!!

Lou - Happy Anniversary!!!

Victoria - I am so happy you are PUPO - I wish I was there too, get those embies sticking and getting comfy!!!

Tammy - WOWZA - 5 embibabies! You will get a BFP for sure! PUPO girl!!! Great quality! Hope Zach is better!

Amanda - 28,000 wow, that' a lot! But it is always worth it for the baby!

Turtle - let me know how your Sns went!

Rypell - you will be fine - don't worry about being one day late. Great news on the embies!!!

Lauren - I have a 14 yo Sdaughter and it is really tough here with her. We also don't get along with the mother who teaches her to use people, spend money like crazy (she is 14 and has a coach bag!) while we struggle. It stinks! How is your relationship with her?

Chili - Happy birthday!!!!

Karin - yes it was painful! :( sorry you had a bad time with Hannah. I missed the story somewhere can I have a short version? I think it is a teenager thing to be so selfish and feel like the world is against them. But there is also a limit on being hurtful. Big hugs to you and for being so loving.

I had a saline US the day after my HSG and I am so sore, they found a cyst in my right ovary otherwise I passed with flying colors. I am really down since my cycle will now be in early November! :( so slide me back to taking brith control to stop birth control to wait for AF then another AF then to start ycle or just put me in the going insane category! The RE was really great. I will write more later, I have to take our son to doc again, his cough is so bad he can't breathe and it is really scary, hopefully it is nothing. Much love and hope to stay on this board with "my girls" eventhough I will be a late BFP ;)

Well ladies I am not PUPO. She says no matter what my emboss will always be 1 day ahead of my uterus and those aren't optmal conditions. We had 4 embryos make it to freeze. She said we can start lupron with my second AF. Any dea how quickly I'll get AF now that I stopped progesterone?

Hi ladies sorry to be so MIA but I dont have a great computer at home so I had to wait till I got back to work. I'll only be here today and have lots to catch up on (both at work and on this board!). So a quick update is all I can send for now please forgive me.

Tues. ER went well they were able to get 17 eggs, 14 were mature, and 11 fertilized. They wont let us know how they are doing until tomorrow before the transfer because they dont want to disturb them. I plan to have acupuncture at the clinic before and after the transfer and will hopefully be putting two back. I'll have to read to catch up on everyone and will try to do personals on my crappy computer at home tonight. Best wishes to everyone!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to into myself- I have been following the threads on here for awhile and since we are finally scheduled for our IVF I thought I would post. Both my DH and I are 30, and have been trying for 3 years. We have male factor infertility; my husband has spina bifida which has impacted his swimmers! We are really looking forward to finally be able to "do something".... not looking forward to all the meds though :(
DH & I: 30 y.o.

ryann ohmygod hun!! i'm so sorry! i really have never heard of such a thing mattering that much (and ive seen alot of crazy stuff happen on these boards)! i would imagine you would get AF in about 2 weeks since you werent on the PIO for that long it shouldnt effect the timing. (((((((((((((((((big hugs)))))))))))))))))

lou yay for starting lupron??? haha i hate that stuff, but yay for getting to the next step!! happy anniversary! i hope you did some pre-day celebrating in NYC last weekend.

lauren L'Shanah Tovah!! yay for starting lupron for the new year! did you make it to temple last night? DH and I went last night, but skipped today....we will atone for skipping services next week at yom kippur! haha

tammy hope you are staying off your feet!! how are you feeling?? now go lie down! haha

tiger oh man i am sooooo mad right now!! i dont understand why this isnt working. ya know IUI's are less expensive, and take less meds, but it seems that it takes a while to get that BFP! i hate those evil sticks! i'm still holding out hope you get a surprise tomorrow. do you think you'll try again?? you are right when you say you shouldnt need IVF to make this work, but its soooo frustrating!! (((((((((((((((((so many hugs to you my dear friend)))))))))))))))))) xoxo

chili hope those 3 follies are growing growing growing!! let me know how your SnS went ok??

karin i'm sure you told us, but i cant remember how it came that you have custody of hannah? we can all say things we dont mean in the middle of a fight, we as adults try to hold those words back, but kids dont have that filter yet. you know she didnt mean anything she said..it must be really hard. you are amazing to give her a loving home, and a great life. she will thank you for it one day! xoxo

victoria yay for being PUPO!!! now try to relax and let those embies snuggle in!

rio no matter where we all are in our cycles i'm pretty sure we are all in the going insane category! i'm glad you passed everything with flying colors!! woooohooo!! why the delay? why are they having you go off BCP's? is it because of the cyst? man...welllll sept is halfway over so its only really a month and a half away!!!
i really hope DS is feeling better soon!!

afm i had my SnS this morning, and everything is going...well...ooookkkk i guess. who really knows with me right? sometimes i think it looks good and then it all goes to crap so i'm just gonna try and chill and take it day by day. i'm on day 9 of stims and the few follies i have are growing sooooooo sllllooooowww! like 11's and 12's!! crazy slow. so i start my antagonist tonight (ganirelix) and keep the same dose of meds, and then back in on saturday morning for my next SnS!
so thats it for my update..i havent been sleeping so well because i cant get my mind to stop racing..always thinking of whats going on this cycle..its been a long long week. hopefully since i dont have a SnS to worry about tomorrow i will be able to get some much needed rest tonight!
to anyone i forgot..i am sorry..but i am always thinking of you all!!
:D

teresa- great fert report! sounds like you may end up having some to freeze. good luck on your et tomorrow!

ryann- oh no! i'm so sorry! i can't believe they cancelled your et! you should be getting af right away, since you've only done 1 pio injection. when i got my bfn, i had already done a week's worth of injections & i got af 2 days after stopping.

rio- sorry that you will be cycling later than you'd expected. our plan right now is that i will probably be cycling in november, so maybe we'll be cycle buddies :-) hope your son gets better soon.

tiger- it can still be too early for anything to show up on a hpt. i'm praying for you. you do have the strength...we all do...it's just sometimes it seems like we don't, but we are some of the strongest women i know!

lou- apple struddel sounds so yummy! are they having any octoberfest beer, too? i love it...that's my favorite. in fact, had a few last night. happy anniversary!!!

victoria- 5th graders can definitely keep you busy on your feet! i teach 6th, 7th, & 8th grades (health) & my day is CRAZY!!! i love it though.

tammy- yay for 5!!! this will be your time! don't be embarassed about the bladder being drained...my last et, i had to pee so bad after the et, they had me pee in a bedpan, lol.

franny- that's great that you start ganirelix. it'll take those follies & mature them, so they'll be getting nice & big in the next few days. i hope you have a good night's sleep tonight.

i know there are so many more of you....i'm thinking of all of you!

Ryann -- Oh no.... I'm so sorry you didn't have ET. But 4 frosties is fantastic! FET's are sooo much easier on the body and many women have only had success that way from what I've read. Maybe this is the way it's supposed to be? I always get AF on the 3rd day after stopping progesterone.

Teresa -- Holy cow... 11 fert is AWESOME! Congrats!

Macfamily -- Welcome and good luck!
