Ester -- Ha.... No... No Oktoberfest beer! I work at a hospital so that could really be a disaster! We did however get beer steins as the "gift". I was wishing they were full as well. I could sure use one right now.

Okay ladies me & DH changed our minds again. We are going back to the old RE and we doing our own cycle in January. If that doesn't work then we will go to the donor. I am just not ready for a donor when we were so close last time. The new RE said he would use the same protocol as the old RE, so we decided to stick with what we know with the old RE. I am content with this decision. I still will be checking the boards and cheering everyone on even though our cycle won't be until January.

Havent crashed in on you all in a while...

Franny - Wow, you're almost there already, I must have lost track there for a bit.. But I have been cheering you on silently  Ok, so far so good with your stimming, but ugh how frustrating to not get enough follie info from them! Whats been scheduled for Barry's surgery? How has he been feeling? Good luck at sat's SnS! i'll keep better track and I'm always here for you - xoxoxo

Lou - What?? No beer at the hospital? then they shouldnt call it Oktoberfest! What fun is an empty beer stein anyway? Yay for Lupron, well at least yay for getting started, right? HAPPY 15TH ANNIVERSARY!! I'm sorry to hear that he's busy working tonight, thats a big milestone and deserves to be celebrated. Did you have fun in NY?

Tammy - WHEEE!! PUPO X 5! I'm thinking BFP... Aw, your post about poor Bill's morning made me laugh! A 'diarrhea blowout diaper" Ummm, I cant really say that I'm looking forward to that part  or the ripping off of the laptop keys.... Well Zach really likes computers.. maybe the next Bill Gates?

Tiger - Dont you listen to those evil sticks! They were wrong for me until my 2nd beta! Good luck tomorrow!

Es - How are you holding up honey? Oooh, that is the cutest puppy ever! Lady will love the company, I'm sure of it

Much love& luck to everyone - xoxoxo

Ryann - I am sorry! That sucks! But they claim that good things come to those who wait (I've been waiting lol), so your baby (babies) will just be a month or so behind.

Rio - I am with you on the November, and the wait is already sucking. My step daughter is 9 and has a coach purse (not from me). When the Uggs were real popular her mom got her 3 pairs for Christmas. She does not act like the spoiled brat that she is (not yet), and we get along great. But with so many parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, she always gets what she wants. I am sure the teen years will be great! Her mom is a psycho who last year I had to tell to never call, email or speak to me again (she still e-mails). She has 3 kids with 2 different men, collects child support for all, and does not work. She tries her best to make things difficult, and tries to start conflicts between my DH and I. She emailed us recently referring to my husband's ex-wife. He does not have an ex-wife! She also tells everyone he is her "ex" so they think they are divorced. Umm no, he met her and she was pregnant 6 weeks later lol. She puts it in my SD head that she is going to get famous from dancing and that "school is not as important". She is very smart in school so I tell her the opposite. That it would be nice to make it as a dancer, but there are lots of ppl in NY who are very talented and working as waitresses right now. Her mom is taking her to NY this Sunday to audition for some stupid dance reality show. She took her to Vegas 2 months ago for a competition too. Funny how she has the money for this stuff just from child support. I could go on and on but enough about her lol!

Macfamily - Welcome!

Teresa - Great fertilization report!

Tammy - Yah for transferring 5! I am going to transfer 4 if I ever get there lol.

Lou - Happy Anniversary! 15 years, wow!!!

Ester - I am glad I will have another November cycle buddy!

Franny - Slow and steady! I think this one will be your time.

Tiger - Good luck tomorrow! Those HPT are not always right with the BFN!

AFM - I got AF 3 days before my betas in August. Went for beta a day early and started BCP. My RE told me to stop pill on 8/29, and resume on first day of AF. I stopped that Sunday and got AF the following Saturday 9/4. I started BCP that day. Well it has been 6 full days and AF is crazy!!!!! It is so bad! I have to change a super super tampon every 2 1/2 hours. Usually the BFN period is like this, but I have never had the following one be this way. Especially after starting the BCP, usually it goes away fast.

Amanda - I'm so happy you made a decision you're happy with. That's all that matters. I think a dual cycle is also a great idea, but if you think you can give it another go, GOOD FOR YOU!!

Chili - Happy Birthday!!! How did the SnS go?!

Karin - I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this with Hannah. It's such a tough situation. The best and worst part is that she'll be so thankful in time...but it will take time.

Ryann - I decided to do fresh for the reasons you listed and more. We have the money now and don't know about later, so whatevs. As for you: WTF HAPPENED?? I hate your RE. UGH. Ok, now that I've gotten that out, I can say that 4 frozen is awesome and you'll be PUPO soon. I got my AF two days after stopping progesterone, but don't worry if it's longer. You should get it within the week though. If not, I'd talk to your RE because there are things they can do to bring it on. I'm still rooting for you, girl.

Tiger - You should start a hobby like knitting or something! You could make baby blankets and stuff to keep your PMA up!! HPT's SUCK. Stay away.

Tammy - 5?! You're insane, woman. FYI - during our last transfer I had to pee so bad that they let me, but then I peed too much, so I had to drink more water. Finally, they transferred and then I had to pee so badly while lying there that they made me go in a bedpan. I had to pee like twice on the way home... and I'm only 20 minutes away. It's torture. I hate having to pee.

Lou - Happy Anniversary, love. I'm on schedule with you, but doing fresh.

Rio - I'm so sorry about your news, but November's not that far off. I'm also so sorry about your son. Do you have a humidifier in his room??

Teresa - Your egg count is AWESOME! Good Luck and tell us all about the report tomorrow!

Franny - I'm a horrible Jew. I haven't been to temple for 10 years, but I'll be at the family friends' to break the fast because I love food. :) As for your SnS, it could be that slow and steady wins the race for you and your RE might have just figured this out. I have a good feeling about it.

Lauren - UGH. Bleeding sucks, dude. Hopefully, it'll go away quickly.

AFM - still on Lupron, but the BCP is making me ill. Tomorrow's my last day of BCP. SnS on Monday to see if I can start stims on Tuesday

Hi All,
I'm soo thrilled!!! I went for sns today and they found another follie. Now I have 4 measurable and the 3 original ones are growing well. They measure 11, 12, 13 and 16 Whooo...Hooo!!! For those of you lucky ladies in "ample follie land", I know that doesn't sound like much but for this 47 yr old it's fabulous!!! :D On my 1st cycle they only got 1 immature egg out of 2 follies. This is great. My hormone levels are really good too. I actually think this might work this cycle. I go for my next sns on Sat morning. I'm looking forward to hearing the results.
I also want to thank everyone for the kind birthday wishes. My family stopped by on Monday for dinner and cake and they played beanbags. I had a Lupron headache so I stayed in where it was quiet. Hubby took me to dinner yesterday and we had a nice quiet evening. Oh, and, while I was reading outside yesterday with my feet up on a chair I noticed a bee or wasp buzzing around. I started to put my legs down and I felt a sharp pain on my leg. The Damn Bee flew under my leg and stung me right below my butt cheek!!! Go figure!! Happy freekin birthday to me!!! It still hurts because I have to sit on the sting. Unbelievable!! I'll do personals next post.
Love hugs and baby dust to all,

Tiger

I just wanted to jump on and wish you luck tomorrow. I am also doing IVF because of male factor...I have a son from a previous marriage and everything is still great with me except that I also did 3 cycles of donor iui and for some reason it just didn't work and RE could not explain except to say that for most healthy women it takes up to six months. I was so frustrated!!! it just isn't fair!! Have you tried changing donors (hope I am not too intrusive) anyways good luck to you tomorrow and I hope you have a miracle and restore our faith in IUI :D

Hi All,
Could someone please tell me what the heck PUPO stands for. I can't figure it out.

Karin- I know exactly what you're talking about. I always tell people that kids go from the "terrible twos" to the "terrible teens". There's a few nice years in between and they do get better in their 20s. It takes alot of patience. My daughter is 28, married with 3 kids and she is finally realizing that I was right at least some of the time. My ex and his evil wife did everything they could to poison her mind against me. It worked for awhile but now she understands what they were doing. The best way I found to handle things was I never said anything bad about him or the evil wife in front of my daughter and did the best I could to steer her in the right direction in life. Be patient, stay strong and be firm. They do need discipline whether they like it or not. Good luck with her and you donor decision.

Ryann- So sorry your cycle was cancelled. I'm sure everything will work better with the FET cycle.

Tiger- Thanks!

Tammy- Sorry about Zachs illness. Lucky hubby's willing to clean things up. Thanks for the wishes. I'm on the "micro flare Lupron" protocol. Things seem to be going well this time. I'm keeping everything crossed!

Lou- Happy Anniversary!!! Hope you're doing something fun!!

Tiger- I'm keeping everything crossed for you!!!! PMA!!

Ester- Those pups are SOOOO CUTE!!! :D How are they getting along?

Teresa- Great Job!!! :D 11 is fantastic!! Congrats!!

Franny- Hey stim buddy!! Things are going better than expected for me. Keep your PMA!!! Grow Follies Grow!!!!! Everythings crossed for you!!!

Amanda- Good luck with your old RE. PMA!!

To anyone I missed I do have everyone in my thoughts and prayers. Best of luck to everyone!

Ryann - I'm so sorry!!! I was so upset to read your post that they cancelled the ET, that completely sucks!! I know the FET will do the trick so I'll be looking forward to you starting that cycle.

macfamily - Welcome to the thread!! Where are you in the IVF process? Do you know when you'll be starting your cycle if you haven't started already?

Chili - Great news on your SnS, YAY for 4 good follies! And PUPO is Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise.

OK, I have tried to post about 15 times in the past week and either had to close the window (since I'm at work) or for some unknown reason it hasn't posted correctly. So to sum up quickly: still waiting to see my RE on the 22nd, Earl was a major disappointment as a storm, and the did NOT call my husband back about that job which is what I'm most pissed off about now. Who calls 20 minutes after getting a resume to ask if the person can come in NOW, then decides they're not interested when that person can't come in?? Do you think he should try to e-mail or call again?

More personals later but for now I just want to try and get something to post!! :)

Tiger -- GL today hun!!! I absolutely do have hope for this cycle for you.

Wondercat -- hmmm.... I think I would call and ask if they were interested in rescheduling. Can't hurt, right?

Franny - GL on SnS tomorrow! Hope you're growing many beautiful follies!

klinger - You're doing such a great job with our extensively growing list! I hope this is going to be known as the BFP thread. When do you expect to get your cycle on the road?

Amanda -- Good for you! I'm happy you made a decision you feel good about. Look forward to cheering you on in January. Thanks for sticking with us in the meantime.

Katie -- Hello my dear friend! I LOVE when you crash! I miss you bunches. You are in the home stretch now. I bet you are soooo excited. We sorta celebrated our anniversary in NY last weekend. It was a lot of fun. Last night was low key. Randy came home from work at 9:30PM and I had grilled fish and veggies for dinner. Then we watched some US Open that I DVR'd previously.

Lauren1171 -- Oh no... I'm sorry you're having such a bad AF! I've never had a bad one like that second time after a BFN either. I just stopped BCP's yesterday so I'm expecting a light one too. But who knows since I spotted the last week on BCP's which has NEVER happened to me before. I think our bodies chemistries are just soooo screwed up from all the meds that it doesn't know what to do!

Lauren319 -- Hi silly girl! You totally crack me up. I love your posts. Esp when you named Ester's dog "Winston" and said there's nothing that can be done about it. Too cute! I think you'll be way ahead of me this cycle. Although I started Lupron, my ET isn't going to be until 10/15.

Tammy -- How are you doing PUPO girl? I think your chances sound EXCELLENT this cycle. I'm rooting for you all the way. Your success will give me tons of hope for myself as well. XOXO

Chili -- I'm just soooo happy your stims are going well. That's great you now have another follie! There's a research journal article I have at home which shows that success rates for cycles producing 3 or less follies can be just as successful as cycles producing more. I'll find the reference for you this weekend.

AFM -- So yesterday.... DH sent me GORGEOUS flowers at work. It's a beautiful bouquet of red roses, stargazer lillies, white chyrsanthemums, purple daises, and a yellow flower I don't know the name of. The card read "If I had to do it over, I would marry you again and again. Thanks for 15 wonderful years, and many more to come. Happy Anniversary my love." That made my day right there. But wait... then I got home and there was a card and two small wrapped boxes in dark blue paper with blue and white ribbon. The card was super sweet and the boxes contained Swarovsky crystal pendant necklace and earrings. When he came home, he told me that 15 years is our "crystal" anniversary. Isn't that thoughtful? I'm wearing them today at work! This afternoon I'm going to the horse races at Arlington Park race track. The hospital has a box there and it's for EMS (paramedic) appreciation celebration. I'm bringing $50 so wish me luck! Next Friday I might get to go to the White Sox game through work. It would also be box seats since the hospital has a box there too. I don't usually get these perks but hey... I ain't complainin'!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Lou - I think I will tell my husband to call again... Wow, what a romantic hubby you have! Our 8th anniversary was August 31, my husband got me silver earrings shaped like tiny little horseshoe crabs (to match the necklace I got for my 5th), a silver bracelet of sand dollars, and the most perfect funny card. I have had absolutely zero time to go food shopping let alone gift shopping so I am a terrible wife who still hasn't gotten him anything. :( When I told my co-workers that, one said, "Oh my god, he did all that for you and you didn't give him shit?" to which the other one replied, "Hey, I think that's a pretty good gift, a whole day without giving him shit!" :)

Ryann - So sorry about your canceled cycle, on the bright side if you were close to OHSS it could be for the best anyway?

Franny - Congrats on mega PUPO!!

Lauren1171 - I feel for you. My *normal* AF is heavy enough that I can't even use tampons no matter what strength! Even with big ol' pad at a birthday party this summer for my friend's twins I had this horrifying epic overflow (TMI warning) that involved blood flowing down my legs and dripping onto my feet when I stood up to leave.

Lauren319 - I think Winston is an excellent name!

This might be a long post but here it goes
MALE FACTOR INFERTILITY to the girls that have this as a factor I want to share something, I have my DH taking 200 mg of Coenzime Q10 and a male supplement (I can get you the name) and his counts changed as following:
2007 14 million 4% motility 64% normal forms
2010 38 million 10% motility 74% normal forms

So the increase was pretty great and dramatic! We still cannot conceive naturally because if the motility factor that should be over 60% or do IUI but that was a huge increase! I was really shocked so if anyof you have borderline counts maybe this might help? PM me if you want brands and names of the stuff it is just stuff you get at the drugstore.

After having an HSG one day and a saline US the next, my vajayjay and insides are really hurting, ouch hurts to sit since I feel it pushing against my uterus. She had to push so hard to get to see my left ovary, do any of you girsl had that happen? I had a little pushing here and there but never this much, I know Tammy you said your RE couldn't see the one hiding. This scares me since I don't have many to begin with. I had 4 on the left side and 3 on the right with a nice big cyst. Is a cyst a left over follicle? How long does it take to go away? I also wanted to share my RE said that she found that people who stimm for 10 to 12 days have a better chance than those sooner or later. She also recommended taking DHEA 3 times a day 25 mg. She is changing a couple of things and not having me on BCP before my cycle - have any of you had that? And she is adding Flemara, anyone here with experience? She also said she does assisted hatching with anyone over 38 (I did not have that with my son or ectopic) and also said she would put in 3, 4 or more, now that got me a little concerned. Of course I want a BFP but having had a complicated pregnancy, I really am scared of a twin pregancy and the complications. I am soooo bummed out about being pushed back to November I really just want to get going and feel that the older I get with the male factor also, the harder it is. Plus my Skid is being a brat and I am getting resentful. Sorry for the pitty party! It is hard for me to deal with the fact that my husband's ex got pregnant right away to "trap him" before his cancer and now I have to go through all of this. I know I have a lot to be thankful for, but sometimes I get down...

rypel - so osrry hun but it is good you are waiting for the best odds, so hopefully it will be soon for the FET, better to wait then rush and get a BFN! Keep your eye on the prize!

hopeforbabies - 11 fertilized wow - what a great number! Are you going to do only 2?

macfamily - welcome and I hope that his post might help a little bit. First time can be a charm!

Tiger - i am here waiting for that BFP news, good luck and fingers and toes crossed we are all cheering for you!

turtle - I don't know why the no BCP cycle... :?: I totaly relate with you about not sleeping and obssessing about numbers, but it was only c#9 so hopefully they will be ripe and ready to give you that BFP, keep us posted on Saturday's SnS!

moorebaby- yeay for another patient IVFer waiting for November! I also hope that my post above might help a little since you have MF also?

Tammy - how are the quintuplets doing? DId you do assisted hatching?

amanda - good for you for deciding to try again, you are young so time is on your side and you can try on your own and move on to DE if you need to later. I am praying for a BFP for you and DH, hope you still hang around here!

Katie99 - crash anytime and don't forget to always sprinkle baby dust when you come over, we all need it!

Lauren 1171 - November will be our lucky month, August babies? Sorry your SD's mom is crazy, my DH's ex is too, no money for this or that but plenty of money to buy a brand new Lexus! Yep! Nice to see our hard earning money going to her luxuries while we struggle to pay for IVF. I am glad you get along with SD. I used to get along with SD but she is getting more and more like her mother, uncaring, inconsiderate and manipulative. So this makes it hard. Plus she truly dislikes our son and will watch as she thinks he will get hurt, of course I am always there. She one time had an oven mitt and was holding a hot cookie sheet and watched as he tried to grab it, I jumped 5 feet and stopped him while she smiled at me and said "ooops I guess I wasn't thinking." this is just one of many, I can't tell you how many times we sat her down and told her the importance of caring, being considerate, being a family, etc. We never say a bad thing about her mom. I truly pray that you continue to get along with your SD through you having children and her teenage years. Your period sounds like my last one, yickes!

Lauren 319 - thank you, we do have a humidifier but we have to be careful since mold is very common here. Sorry the BCP is making you ill and hopefully you will better soon when stopping it - stimms on Tuesday - YEYA!

Chili - 4 follies - you go girl!!!! Great news! Hope your bee sting gets better soon! I am glad to see that your daughter came around and now understands things, I can only hope that my SD looks back and sees we tried to do the right thing.

annashope - another MF here!

Klinger - too funny - yes one big category of insane but wonderful women!!!! :D

wondercat - sorry about the job thing, that does sound weird. I really think it can't hurt to call again. Maybe say now that Earl is over and things calmed down that he would like to come in and meet them. Worse that can happen is they say no and you are in the same boat. you cracked me up with your comment of the whole day without giving him shit!!!
