Hey everyone! I'm starting my first and hopefully last ivf cycle. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. Does anyone else have pcos? I'm on bcp now. My retrieval should be around Oct 25 or so. I'm starting lupron Oct 1. Anyone on the same schedule as me??? Good luck to you all.

Hello! I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ginger, i am 27 and i was diagnosed with PCOS last year. My DH (33) and I are about to begin our first round of IVF. We did do an IUI last month that was unsucessful. I am not sure really how these forums work I am new to all of this. We dont have any friends or family that really understand how we feel or what we are going through, so were looking to meet new friends that can offer support and advice. Thank you!!!

Hi Girls...

I am really new to this too... I started all my meds a couple months of go but had some problems long the way so I am finally catching up to where I should be... THank god... So I start my Estradiol tomorrow excited and nervous all at the same time... I will hopefully have my 1st transfer first week of Oct...

I don't have anyone to really chat with about this except my husband so I figured I try getting other support from the message board... Since we are all going through the same thing... We havent told our families cause we wanted to keep it kind of private, Alot of pressure since we been married for 7 years now...

I dont know what to expect with each phase I just hope along the way I get my dream of havinga baby...

Hello! I'm starting my Lupron injections on the 21st of September as well....THAT IS TODAY!!!!!

I am excited and nervous and hoping my 1st time will be a success. I am new to this board and NEW to IVF in general. My husband had a vasectomy 8 years ago (before we met) and we now want a child of our own. I have 3 wonderful step-children and they are also hoping for a baby brother or sister....or both!!!

It's so nice to be a part of a forum like this. I hope to be a support to others as well.....

Well.....as corny as this is.....I just gave myself my FIRST Lupron injection. YAY!!! We are on our way! I was so nervous but so far that wasn't so bad. I'm not looking forward to some of the stims.

I think when I got the box of injections and medication....I thought they sent me a pharmacy! GEEZE....that is overwhelming!

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful evening. I'm excited but I'm also wondering what the side effects will be. EEK!

It makes me feel much better to know I'm not going through this alone~!!!

Hi freckles....

I am new to the IVF world too, I have not had my transfer yet, but hoping its soon.... I go for a u/s Monday and then We go from there...

SO glad to meet all of you it makes this process so much easier talking to women going through the same thing...

Goodness when I got my box of meds I almost died, I had to make a appt with the nurse to go through everthing cause I got kinda nervous seeing it all... lol But after I did the shots It was easier then I thought...

Freckles dont know if your pharmacy has a website but there are all kinds of videos that make the process of doing everything easier , it was my guide to everything

There are some excellent you tube videos on each kind of injection by the sher institute. they are really good. i did my lupron this morning and had a headache all day but my job is stressful too so who knows!!! LOL ....yall have a good night!

I'm not usually sensitive to medication but after I took the Lupron shot at 6pm, I had a REALLY rough night sleeping.
I had sweats and wild dreams. It could very well be my anxiety over all this, but I also feel nauseated. I know the night sweats are common but I didn't think I would get them after 1 shot. Has anyone else experienced this?

No I actually was ok with the Lupron.... Maybe its cause you have so much on your mind with this, it is nerve racking thinking of everything and being so new, my mind is constantly running... Are you taking it once or twice aday? If you take in the morning see if you have any side effects I always call the pharmacy when I get side effects(headaches and naseau) just to make sure its ok... I been really sick on the Estrace so I called the pharmacy and they said it was normal they said If i wanted to call Dr they could maybe lower the dose, but I am just sticking with it since its only til Monday

I am doing my Lupron shots in the morning and this morning on my 2nd shot, i no longer counted to 5 before i got a headache! Looks like thats gonna be a common thing for me with this.

Hope your headaches are going away.... I am on estrace and I had headaches the first few days and am now doing much better ....
