Hi Ladies!

We just got back from our trip to Chicago and then to Pittsburgh. The kids and I had a ton of fun! They are at just they right age where they are really into Grandma and Grandpa, so they were soaking it up. I seem to have gotten huge over the past week and a half.. I don't know what they are doing in there, but they must be growing. My mom came back with us and she is going to give the kids a new paint job on their room. They had fish and whales and sharks since they were babies. Now she is doing planets and rockets. Can you believe it I am halfway through the pregnancy!!! woo-hoo!! Only one more week until my ultrasound and we get to see the little ones and find out the genders.

Jenice - I am sorry for your loss. I hope you and your family cam find strength in each other.

Kitty - how did the move go? I don't think October is too early for a shower. In my opinion It is better to get everything you can set up in the second trimester when you still have a bit more energy and can enjoy helping and aren't too huge to reach everything=)

Mev - Don't get too overwhelmed by baby stuff. In reality all you need is diapers wipes and a crib=) The other stuff is just a bonus=) I am sure you will get it all figured out, also if you can try to enjoy picking things out it should be fun! My brother lives in Warrenville, outside of Chicago, we had a great time visiting the Aquarium while we were there. You guys have a lot of fun places to take the kids when they get older! I can't wait to find out the genders of your babies, it is so exciting!!!!

PA - I am sure you will figure out lots of nice and useful things to buy. Since you mentioned breastpumps, I also wanted to mention to you and everyone else that you should check to see if your insurance covers breastpump costs. Our hospital rents out high quality breastpumps (they sterilize them and you buy new tubing and shields). My insurance covered the rental for three months. I only ended up needing it for about 2 weeks, so it saved us a lot of money not having to buy one. It is worth checking out for anyone planning to breastfeed.

Julia - I think we all understand exhaustion=) I will do a post about the twins strollers I have and what I like/dislike about them since you and mev were talking about them. They have some new ones out now that look cool too.

Hi Ladies! I hope everyone is doing well!

Just a quick update for me, as I leave for a business trip tomorrow morning and I still have a ton of laundry and packing to do! Not to mention how long it takes me to pack now because I need to make sure the clothes I am bringing still fit me!

We went and had our ultrasound this morning. The babies look amazing!!!! We haven't "seen" them since Week 6 so it was incredible to see them now and they look like babies! We're in love! Everything is measuring as it should for their age/weight. All measurements of heads, abdomens, thigh bones, etc looking great. AND the best part, we're having a GIRL and a BOY!!!!!!!! It is just too amazing. My DH and I just kept laughing, smiling, crying, it's just great!

Okay, so heading to Boston in the early morning and living out of a suitcase until Wednesday. I love Boston, so no complaints! I just have so much to do in the next 12 hours!

mev - congrats on a boy & a girl! this is so exciting!! so happy for you & DH! is everyone planning to find out the gender? I really want to but DH wants to keep it a suprise, so i don't think we'll find out... so it's likely to be yellow & green for us (I guess green may be fitting for a St Patrick day due-date ).

pa-fa - hope you got to enjoy hawaii in between the 2 very long flights...

purplefish - glad you had a good time on vacation w/ the family! thanks for offering us some stroller advice, i have a feeling we'll be turning to you for a lot of advice over the next couple of months.

afm - i hit 13 weeks yesterday, yay! i am slowly starting to have more energy which feels so good! i signed up in our local mom of multiples club, and will be attending their monthly meeting next mon, i hope i'll get to meet some great ladies there! DH and i started telling friends and co-workers about our pregnancy, which is a lot of fun, and will be announcing it to my team in amsterdam in 2 weeks during my nxt trip there. not much else new to report, next OB apt is next thu, hope we'll get to see the babies again.

Hi all you fellow May-Cycle buddies

I hope you don't mind but thought I'd post on this board until I can join get my A into G and join another cycle.

I'm so glad to hear all the pregnancies are going well. It was lovely coming back on board and reading all the posts after a bit of a break.

I'm now all on track for a FET in ten or so days time. I have my first estrogen and LSH bloodtest on Monday and will probably continue to have daily tests until I ovulate. Then five days after that, and hopefully a successful thaw, two blasties will be transferred. i'm very excited about it - a bit nervous about hoping on board the rollercoaster again but it's worth it!

Anyway folks, will keep you posted. You must all be developing lovely bumps by now. Will send personals when I have a bit more time and don't have to rush out.

julia_78 - yay for 13 weeks! You will have a great time telling friends and family.

my stroller thoughts:
I have lots of strollers, I found that I just needed different strollers for different things.
I have a side by side jogger, which I loved for running, the park and the zoo. It is lightweight and the kids both have an excellent view. It easily seats toddlers, but the downside is that it wide I only use it outside. I also have a Kolcraft tandem double stroller. I like this stroller because it does do infant (with and without the carseat holders) to toddler. It also hold a lot of stuff which is nice. The seats also can face each other, which my kids loved when they were about 6 months. The downside is it is huge, if you have a car it would be the only thing that will fit in your trunk. It also weighs close to 55lbs is a pain to lift in and out of the car. I used this stroller for most of our shopping, grocery store, mall, department stores etc. For small boutique type stores, would actually put one in a carrier and one in an umbrella stroller to do some of the shopping, they need to be a bit older for the umbrella stroller though, 3-6 months depending on head control.

I would say with all the double strollers ask if they carry in the store then ask to try and see if it fits in your trunk.

We started the kids walking as much as we could as soon as they were able eliminated the stroller around 2, at 2 1/2 the twins can walk about a mile before they get tired. It is much nicer now to not have a stroller to deal with=)

They didn't have some of the new stacked ones when I bought mine. They look cool, I would look at how close the seats are, because inevitably they will start kicking each other, and how is the view for both kids.

I had my 20 week scan today and it went great! We got to see both babies in detail. It is so amazing, baby B is quite a squirmy little guy. The scan was about 50 minutes for each baby and we got lots of great pictures. We also are very excited we are having a boy and a girl!!!! It is so wonderful!

AFM-Went for my u/s sound yesterday both babies looked good. Have to go back in two weeks to check some more measurements. Baby A wasnt being too cooperative. But hey the more I get to see them the better I feel. And it appears we have one of each boy & girl. We are estatic

Kitty_mom - Congratulations on your boy/girl twins! That's so amazing that there are so many of us.

Just got back from my business trip in Boston. I love that city, but didn't get much time to actually enjoy the city.
Finally told my coworkers this past weekend that I am pregnant, and they applauded! Some of them even stood up! It was so much fun to be able to tell them all in person. I'm part of a 15-person team located all over the country and we only get together as a team four times a year. I've been part of this team since 2007 so many of them knew of our struggles and I have enjoyed their support and now their congratulations.

Hi everyone, hope all is well I haven't been on here in a long time. I'm still trying to cope with the death of my family member. My family member was murdered . Now all the preliminary hearings and the trial to look forward too It just feels like a nightmare and wondering when I'll wake up. I had a hard time in the beginning of my pregnancy. I finally had started to get excited about the baby. Then this happened. I know in time I'll feel better but I definitely know there are evil people out there.
