Ryann - How rude of your RE! I would be pissed too! As for how many to transfer, I would do all 4 myself. But I am 35 and I have had 4 failed cycles. My RE always says he is willing to do more as long as I am willing to "selectively reduce" if there end up being 3 or more babies. I go along with him to keep him happy, but that is something I would decide if that ever happened. I just figure that by transferring 4, what are the odds 3 or 4 would take? I would think at most it would be twins which is fine with me. That's why we decided to transfer 4 on our next fresh cycle.

Hi Girls, I had my scan today and all is ready to go. My AFC was only 5 on the right and 4 on the left. I hope they all grow. Is that considered a low AFC? And has anyone had only 9 afc and went on to produce more follies and/or get a BFP? I'm just curious where I am compared to whatever a normal AFC is. LOL

Took my last BCP yesterday, I start 20 units of lupron tonight and then 450iu of follistim tomorrow. I think I'm going to throw up from being so nervous and excited LOL!

Teresa, thanks for the advice about staying hydrated I hadn't even thought about that.

Franny YAY I am so happy and excited for you!!! this is it sweety it will work this time and maybe even twins. You have been such an inspiration to all of us and you are in my prayers- I will tell you what my nurse told me though and I hope it helps you too. She said that even though RE says to lay down/bed rest for 3 days after transfer she has actually seen more success when people stayed off of their feet for 5 days or so. I know it sounds like a lot and it is a pain but I followed her advise and sure enough a BFP last cycle so maybe there is something to it. I did a 3dt and I have read that the embie only implants on day 6 so I just made sure I was laying down until day 7 or so and even then I took it easy

Victoria I believe spotting is completely normal especially if it is pink. The girl I cycled with over the summer Annpage had the same thing-spotting with cramps and she was convinced that her cycle failed but when she went for beta it was 277 and she was pregnant with triplets so please keep a positive attitude. Have you POAS? are you going to?

AFM getting close now my AF is due in about a week and we can get started tentatively I will start Lupron on Oct 9th and that is as far as I know now

Franny- 5 is great! I know u would have wanted all 7 but 5 is really good u have a chance to transfer and freeze.

AFM-spotting went away earlier but now is back. Very very light pink. I'll see how the rest of the evening goes. But what I really want to say is thank u so much ladies for being so supportive. I so look forward to writing to u all everyday. Oh I called the nurse back cuz she had asked me to give her an update in the afternoon so the nurse I spoke to wasn't there so I spoke to another nurse and she said I was ok so long as it's light pink. What she said was that with all the progestrone I'm taking it's making my linning thicker and as that thickens if there is a pregancy than the embryo has to dig a little further and that's what causes the spotting. I sure hope that's right. It gives me much hope for a BFP on Friday. I know I know lots of PMA. It just freaked me out. Victoria

Sorry it has been a little while since I have posted. I'm trying to be a little more relaxed and less obsessive about all of this since I'm not even in my cycle yet But I have been keeping up and reading along and wanted to drop a line and say hi to all the girls and let you know that you are still in my thoughts and prayers even when I'm not posting regularly. A couple notes:

Franny- 5 is awesome!! I'm so happy for you - ET is going to go well too and you will be BFP in a few weeks!! What was the protocal they had you on this time around? I've also been a lower responder on my past cycles so I'm curious.

Tammy - good luck with POAS tomorrow - let us know how it goes but it is still so early so don't be too disappointed if it is negative - hopefully it will be positive by Zach's bday! Although I am hoping it is positive tomorrow and that you have twins!!

Ryann - I'm still floored at what you have been through the past month. I would probably stick with your current RE for the FET but if you ever need to do this again after those frosty babies are born, I would definitely switch to a new RE.

Victoria -keep up the PMA - hopefully the spotting is just implantation!

Lauren319 - how is your stimming going so far?

Wondercat - your office mate sounds like she has a screw loose!! I would just do my best to ignore her and her negativity! Maybe get some headphones to wear when you start your cycle and just put some nice soothing music on so you don't have to listen to her.

AFM - I'm doing my best to hold off one more month before I start another cycle. I've been taking my extra supplements and doing yoga. I'm also going for massages every other week. Hope it all helps!! I'm expecting AF this Friday - if I get it, I am going to call my RE office then and ask if my new protocol will include BCP. If no BCP, I'll just wait until next AF, if they do want me on BCP again, I'm going to ask if I can go ahead and get started on those

Who am I kidding?! I cant sleep! lol So I have had leg cramps, a UTI, a big ol zit on my chin...since Sunday...and extra saliva/drooling while sleeping, insomnia, runny nose, gassy, headache, clumbsiness, a feeling of fullness, and just an overall feeling of pregnancy...in the last 2 days. Some can be contributed to the meds...but a few are very classic pregnancy symptoms for me...so I guess you could say that I had a feeling all week and was hopeful when I poas early this morning. Especially the drooling while sleeping...dead give away for me. lol So, I poas and it is light...but came right up before the 3 minutes was even up. I would venture to say that it is slightly darker than when I was pregnant in April with a singleton...and we were thinking twins since getting a positive so early at 8dp3dt or 11dpo...same as today. So maybe...maybe twins?

Rio...Too funny with the 5 smiley faces...Oh my goodness...could you just imagine?! lol

Tiger...Oh does your trip sound fabulous! Costa Rica is on my places to visit list...but looks like it will have to wait a few years (read: 20 years). lol

Franny...Girl, this is your cycle!! 5 is awesome!!! Your DH's formula is pretty much the same formula I use. lol I am sooo over the moon for you! I am praying sooo hard for you!!

Victoria...I agree with implantation bleeding...I had it with Zach...and I had spotting the first couple of weeks, too. Very common in IVF...try not to let it bother you at all. TMI alert...but when getting out of the shower last Friday...which was technically too early for implantation, but maybe not...I had a spot of blood end up on my towel when drying...and no idea where it came from. I thought maybe I knicked myself shaving at first. lol It's your turn for a BFP!!! Good Luck tomorrow!!! I think you should poas today...I have high hopes for you...I really do!

Teresa...Any new symptoms? I cant believe you are going to hold out! You are sooo patient. Nope, havent decided on how to tell everyone yet. Everyone at the party knows and will be asking...We're very open about IVF and have been keeping everyone updated via FB. Crazy, I know. lol Bill just left for work and I havent told him yet. I was thinking about surprising him and everyone at the party...or surprise him first and then everyone else at the party. I have a Big Brother shirt that Zach could be wearing when Bill gets home from work today...or who has some cutesy other ideas? I also thought about having Zach wear the shirt for the first 15 minutes of his party till everyone gets the news...then putting his personalized birthday Elmo shirt on him for the rest of the party. However, I am also thinking about taking a picture of the test...putting it into a card "To my Big Brother on his Birthday"...and letting Bill open it (since Zach is still too young to open most of his stuff anyways)...and sharing the moment with our whole family...who has been going through all of this every step of the way with us. I wonder if I can keep this a secret for 2 more days?! lol I've been telling everyone that I've decided to not test till Sunday...after Zach's bday...so that I wouldnt be upset for the party. lol Thoughts?

Brandy...they told me that it looked like I had only 7-9 follies and I had 12 growing...so yes there could be more. However, 9 is average and good...so no worries. Yayy for starting stims today! Grow follies Grow!
