Angela - Good way to get DH on the crib. When we got our furniture, Andrew was all over putting everything together. Setting up the nursery was definately one of the things he enjoyed doing. He isn't to good at supporting me through th pregnancy though. lol Some men just don't get how hard and painful it can be to carry their children. Andrew is one of them. Anyway, glad to hear you and baby Gabriella are doing great. Don't worry about premature labor. I am sure she will cook until the timer is done, if not then close to it. Everything seems to be going so great for you! :)

Gi - In order to get a picture up on here you have to upload it. So under the text space we all type in, under the Save, Preview and Submit buttons are two tabs. Click on Upload attachment. Then browse your computer for where the picture is saved and open it or double click on it. This will upload it for all of us to see. If the pictures are on his pc then use his pc to post it. :) I hope that helps! Otherwise you can join a photo sharing site like photobucket and upload a pic there and copy the IMG code and paste it in the text box. Anyway, so 32 weeks!! Are the BH are coming often? I can't stand it to feel a contraction and the babies move. It is SO uncomfortable! Angelina keeps creeping up to my ribs, OUCH! lol

Claudia - There are a few ways you can do the registry. You can look at how others have done it and choose one of those ways, or you can simply give me your registry information, I will post it under your name and we can just go straight there to purchase items. It's all up to you on how you want it to be done. The most private way to do it is to pick a few items, send me the links and your shipping information. I will post the items only, and when someone wants to buy those items for you, they PM me for your info. :) So congrats on getting some stuff done! It's so nice to watch things fall into place isn't it?

Emerald - I was thinking about you a lot lately actually! When was your little girl born? Why did you need a c-section? What's her name? Details pray tell! lol I am glad she is doing well. After those little scares you had and then this, it must be a relief to see her doing well.

Tammy - Oh gosh girl, I am hoping for growing numbers. You never know, could be a late implanter. It happens, after all... that was how Ethan was at first. He was just a sac close to my cervix when Angelina was a sac and a yolk, wasn't even convinced it could be twins at that point because it was so early and it was an ER dr who found it. Sometimes they just need time to catch up. It happens all the time so I am not giving up hope for you! :)

Pa - Leg cramps huh? I get that restless leg thing going on at times, the only thing that helps that seems to be sleep meds. Maybe a small dose of Ambien? Se what doc says. As for the charley horses, I know that all too well. I learned not to stretch my legs anymore. lol Seems odd, but it only happens when I go to stretch. So your little one is already kicking nice and hard... I'd say you got a strong little monkey. lol You are going to have loads of fun the last few weeks with those kicks and punches. Hopefully he isn't too hard on you though. ;) Angelina keeps crawling up in my ribs and it kills me. I have to keep pushing her down. It doesn't help my breathing or help m sleep at night. lol

Babyluv - How are you doing? I can't scroll down enough to see your last post and can't remember much other than the girls are doing great and have good weights. I am so glad things are going well. Too bad they couldn't be as cooperative diring th 4D. lol

Hazel - I am so happy for you!! Finally!! I can't wait to hear all the details of the labor when you feel up to posting again. Still have a 100% track record with guessing baby genders! Still more surprises to come so I wonder how long my streak will last. lol

AFM - Sorry I haven't postd much. There are a few reasons. One is that I haven't been getting any email notifications saying there are posts. Two, th computer is usually out of my reach and on an awkward side of the room. lol So it is a pain in the but to get on the internet with the laptop, so I have been using my phone more often and it's a pain in the arse to get on this site on the phone. Anyway, I was actually posting yesterday when I was interupted. When I say interupted, I mean it... I was almost done with my post when I felt a little something from between my legs. Alex was here and I gave her a look and said, Uh oh. She looked at me and asked, What? I told her I had to go to the bathroom and check to be sure. Sure enough as soon as I stood up it was flowing pretty good. Made it to the bathroom before I started bleeding on the floor. At this point I wasn't sure what I was suppose to do. I didn't want to sit on the toilet because I knew they would want to see exactly how much blood was coming out so I just stood in there. Alex asked if she should get a nurse, I told her yes and she went running. She ended up grabbing a dr who grabbed a few nurses. While Alex was grabbing them, I called Andrew, he had just left to get food close by, so I told him to turn around. I bled more than last time but it stopped. I passed a few old clots today (ick) and seems it is all old stuff coming out now so I am well. Doc said if I bleed again that they will likely take the babies. Each bleed is usually worse than the last. Something to look forward to. One of my nurses only gives me about 3 days. I will give it about a week. So interesting, I was going to go home, Andrew got permission to stay at home with me and that was our deciding factor in going home and being on bedrest since I was doing so well. Three hours after the decision was final, I bled. I guess something is trying to tell me I need to stay here. lol I will try to keep you all updated if anything happens. With the internet on my phone and my room, I am bound to let you know as soon as possible. :)

Stephanie- Yes I think it was a BIG sign that you just need to keep your happy butt in the hospital. I know it can't be much fun but it is safest and you really don't want to be rushed to an Army hospital right???? I'm glad you and the babies are still doing well. I have been worried since I hadn't seen you post in a few days.

Emerald- OMG! I am so happy you are both doing well. I can't remember if I posted something similar to this...baby is wiping out my brain. But let me just say it again. SOOOOOOOOO happy for you and yes we all want details when you feel up to it.

Claudia- Take off wallpaper?!?!?! Oh I do NOT envy that job for you honey. Yick! I'm happy you got the nursery cleaned out. I have a feeling we will all be in a bit of a nesting mood after seeing that Emerald delivered so early. Now I am just wondering if the crib will get here in time.

Natasha- You will feel your baby soon. A lot of the time I am sure it's moving but I just don't feel it. I have to be very still and it really does feel like gas bubbles or flutters. I only felt that good kick one time. But then I felt it again last night like 4 times. Each time I have felt it that strong it is right when I have climbed in bed. I am half sitting half laying down in a reclined position with pillows propping me up. The books say that if you have stronger stomach muscles it may take longer to notice kicks. That moms without a lot of muscle or second time moms feel it sooner. Maybe that's why I feel it... total lack of muscle. :)

AFM- not much going on. Baby was kicking sooooooo hard last night. I can't believe how hard it is at only 19w. What's going to happen later??? When DH saw I was getting kicked he said good baby. HUMPH! I can't wait till he is changing a diaper and he gets kicked in the nuts. Guess what my response will be? That's right...GOOD BABY! :)
I'm up super early for me today because I accidentally rolled over on my tummy and that baby kicked and woke me up. So....then I was bored...and now I am just awake. I hope you all have a great day!

Hi everyone -

OK so we can all stop worrying about Hazel - she had a gorgeous baby boy on Sat weighing in at 9 lbs 4 oz! Whew! what a big boy! I wont say anymore cause thats all I know - we all cant wait to hear how it happened, but of course, she's a little busy at the moment -lol

Emerald - Wow that was unexpected! At 26 weeks? How did it happen? How is she doing? What did you name her? Congratulations!!

Angela - Hooray for getting Gabriella"s crib! What color wood did you go with? I"m laughing over your post about being piled high with baby things because our office has finally just been cleared of all baby stuff, it was stuffed with bags& boxes for awhile, but finally its all put away. Isnt it funny how the smallest human in the house has the MOST stuff? And they're not even here yet!

Steph - Whew! Well I do believe in signs and that was definitely a "stay in the hospital" sign. So 3 hrs after them thinking you may go home, you have a bleeding episode? Ummm, yeah, I'll bet your Dr recinded that order pretty quick! I'm just glad that you were there when that happened and that you're alright. And now the nurses are giving you odds? Well they do usually have a ton of experience... I think your babies will do just fine, they've always measured ahead, you've had your steroid shots & mag sulfate and they'll be 34 weeks tomorrow! Wow where has the time gone? The first months took forever, and now the last few have just flown by it seems. I know by now you are SO ready to have them out and in your arms instead and I think you'll be seeing them soon. Sometimes things just work out the right way and now we can stop worrying that you'll have an episode at home and have to have the 90MPH drive to the right hospital, cause its too scary to contemplate going to the ASrmy hospital! Ok, so just a bit longer twin mama - they're coming - ok Ethan & Angelina, I think Mom & Dad are about ready to meet you! - hang on honey, you're so close now. much love to you all - xoxoxo

Gi - Wow honey - 32 weeks already! hee hee I think we both have night owls on our hands. Savannah just LOVES to start the kicking and dancing at tghe exact time that I'm ready to go to sleep. Gee, think this means we'll all be up all night soon? lol Umm, yeah we'll surely be having some practice at the "no sleep" routine, huh? Tis a good thing you are finished with all your weddings now and can hang up your dancing shoes for awhile. how is J and your Mam doing?

Claudia - Oh no! wallpaper is so not fun to remove! you have to be in a really patient mood for that. Its such a tedious chore, but necessary. And if it brings you closer to seeing your nusery fininshed soon, well then lets get it done, or maybe your DH will do it ? Actually, now that I'm thinkking of it, thats waaaay too much squatting and bending for a pregnant woman to do, sorry DH..... What kind of furniture did you decide on? I cant wait to see!

Tammy - I've been reading along and I hope you will stay away from Google - its only going to stress you out! With 5 embies transfered and a beta of 38, you never know which one implanted on which day, please dont drive yourself crazy - try really hard to get through today, I'm sure Zach will keep you busy and you know that tomorrows beta should give you a definite answer. I meant to respond to your POAS posts, but was busy, sorry. Dont get hung up on those things, please. I used a FRER on 6dp5dt- and nothing, then again on 8dp5dt and nothing (that was the AM of my beta, which was 65!) so what happened to the FRER being so sensitive? I was so depressed by those sticks that it took the nurse a few times of repeating herself to have me believe it was positive. for me, I'll never trust them again. I've got fingers crossed for you and I'll be stalking you tomorrow - I think you'll be doing the happy dance..... - xoxo

AFM I know I missed some of you, and I'm sorry but I have to get ready for my OB appt and they've decided to close the end of my road (for a few weeks!) UGH so I'm going to have so much fun trying to get to the road I need to go the Dr's office. hey they better open the road again before Savannah decideds to arrive - can you imagine how nervous we'll all be when its our time? To add in detours would just be cruel I think. I've been up 4-5 times every single night so I feel like a zombie for half the day, and exhaustion has settled in for sure. I'm thrilled that I was fine and able to go on with my day as normal until 8 months hit - then it was like overnight that I was waddling, and wiped out all the time. I'm guessing the Oct should be even more fun? (nervous giggle)
I'll post when I get back this afternoon and hopefully will have had a boring appt. I do know that they're doing the GBS today - so ummm, yay? for that? ugh
hugs & prayers to us all - xoxoxo

Hey ladies, I'm so sorry for the delay but I'm finally posting with some news! As Katie said, it turns out that Zorba is in Team Blue!! George Thomas Alexander was finally born at 9.20am on Saturday 18th September (11 days overdue), weighing in at a healthy 9 lbs 4.5 oz. He is simply breathtaking and DH and I are over the moon.

George and I were only released from hospital last night, hence the delay in me getting on here to let you all know. I sent DH home late on Saturday night having written out a birth announcement for Facebook and Hotmail contacts, so he sent those out in my name and I've had to wait until today to be able to do anything myself!

The reason for the extended hospital stay was that I didn't exactly have the straightforward birth I might have hoped for. The edited highlights are that I started bleeding and passing blood clots early morning on Friday, was induced at 10am as planned, started having 45 second contractions coming 2 minutes apart by early afternoon and those continued (together with increasingly heavy bleeding and blood clots) all afternoon and evening. By 11pm I had been using gas and air but was really struggling to cope with having had really painful contractions so closely together for so long, and was very demoralised to be told that I was still only 1.5cm dilated at that point. They then broke my waters, I had an epidural and things got going a lot better and I was astonished to be told that I was fully dilated by 6.30/7am. Unfortunately, even though the baby's head was beautifully low, I just couldn't manage to push him out, and after 90 minutes they recommended an assisted delivery (forceps) followed by a c-section if necessary. Once we got into theatre it transpired that George was lying sideways and so they had to turn him before they could try and get him out - thankfully, once they had done that, the forceps combined with my pushing worked very quickly and George joined the world at 9.20am. He's a fairly big boy, not just in weight - his head circumference is 37.5cm and his length is 21 inches (53cm). I think the fact that he was determinedly lying sideways on meant that I wouldn't have been able to deliver him on my own anyway, so an assisted delivery turned out to be the best thing to have happened in the end. Unfortunately, I had to have an episiotomy and even then still had a 2nd degree tear (see earlier comments about George being a big boy!) so am still walking pretty gingerly 3 days later!

I spiked a high temperature during labour and George had a little temperature when he was born, plus I apparently lost 1.8 litres of blood while on the operating theatre, so he and I had to be on antibiotics and monitored fairly closely for 48 hours, hence we were only discharged yesterday evening when we were both given the all clear.

It is just amazing to be at home and we are loving being a little family. Whatever the labour and delivery experience, it is all so worth it. There seems to be so much to catch up on now that I'm home, plus lots of family and friends getting in touch, so I'm afraid I may not get the chance to be on here much for a little while. I will do what I can though, and of course I'm thinking of you all as always!! I'll post a photo when we get ourselves a bit more organised - at the moment we're very much making this parenting stuff up as we go along and spending every spare minute gazing at our beautiful boy.

Hazel -- Congratulations! I'm so happy for you and DH. Let's see some pics of George when you get a chance.

Emerald -- Congratulations to you as well. I'm glad your baby is doing so well for coming so early. Pics?

Everyone else -- I miss you guys.... Angela, Katie, Claud, Gi, Steph, and Babyluv as well as the girls who joined after my m/c. You are all getting so close to meeting your babies. I think of you guys often and wish so much I was right there with you. I'm still in the game and hope this FET is my ticket to success. It's scheduled for 10/15. Send me some of that baby dust you all used.

Hi girls,

Hazel Big Congrats on baby George, lovely name Kaylas 2nd name will also be George after my grandad even though its a boys name i have always said either way the middle name will be George, i have been praying to him (he passed away 14 yrs ago) to help us get our miracle and plus my full real name is Georgina. Sorry you had a difficult enough birth and George deciding to turn transverse! but i am sure he is sooo worth it can you believe you are finally a MAMA!!!!!!

Steph omg never a dull moment with these twins!!! For everyones sake i hope they arrive soon as i am sure they are such scary moments and they are such good weights at the moment. Thanks for telling me how to put up a pic i will try in a sec.

PA oh them kicks get soooo much stronger  Kayla is now at the stage where she kicks so hard she wakes me up last night she kicked for 2 am till 4 am but i love it so much i also know when she is ready to go back asleep for a while as those kicks then turn into this finger type sensation (very similiar to piano playing!!) near my pubic bone area. Also as i have to get up to pee at least 3 times a night i keep waking her up!! Enjoy your well deserved time with your hubby.

Katie hope your appt went well, i too seem to be hitting a tiring stage and i suppose not sleeping doesnt help!! Thankfully i am not working so cant complain too much, have you packed your hospital bags yet?? Wonder will you have a Halloween baby??? My mam and j are great thanks for asking, mam still reads here and wishes everyone well.

Angela oh how great it is you are working on the nursery seeing a crib put together makes it seem so real and after all ye have been thro. i am sure it will be emotional. I am thrilled to hear Gabriella is doing great and just 27 wks!!!!

Claud ugh wall paper removal maybe i should lend you my dog!! funny story when we were renting a few yrs ago i left my westie in the kitchen (it suffers from damp and the owners wallpapered it) well jason and i came home and i swear he removed each and every one of the strips of wall paper clean from the wall, dont know how he managed it but he was able to grab a bit from the bottom backed up and pulled it clean from the wall then moved unto the next strip till he stripped the walls bare!! We nearly died and quickly had to get my mam to repaper it with similarish paper before the owners found out!!! Needless to say all our walls in our own house are painted!!!

Natasha love the new pic of you and hubby, i didnt feel movement till around 19.5 wks even then it wasnt daily till about 21 wks.

Lou i know how hard it must be to come back on to check on your old cycle buddies, we all miss you round here but know you will be back with your little miracle, i continue to read your journey on the other thread and will be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Tammy good luck tomorrow, i really hope and pray you have a little fighter in there.

gi xxx

Stephanie – Oh, I am so glad that you are still in the hospital when you started to bleed again. So, they will take the babies if the bleeding starts again. Well, I know the babies will be just fine if they are born now and I know you, Alex, and Andrew are so excited to finally meet them! You have done a fabulous job carrying them to this point!

PA_FA – wow, it sounds like you have a strong kicker in there. I have an anterior placenta so I felt her pretty early like 14 or 15 weeks but the movements were not very strong until recently.

Claudia – I hope you are doing well! OMG, you are 30 weeks!

Katie – The color of the crib is walnut. I think color will go well with the color of the sheets and blankets that we already have.

I definitely hear you on the exhaustion. I think I am running on pure fumes right now. Today, I was so very tired that I could barely get out of the bed to go to work and once I got there I was dragging.

Hazel – this is wonderful news! Although, your delivery sounds so intense! I am so happy that you and George are doing well. So, he was 9 lbs 4.5oz … wow! I can’t believe you delivered him vaginally! I know you and your DH are just so amazed that he is yours and finally here. I can’t wait to see pictures but do understand that it might take you awhile so you can take some time to coup with all of these wonderful changes!

Lou – It is great to hear from you! I am sending you all types of baby dust for 10/15. The great news is that your date isn’t that far away … yeah! By the way, you look gorgeous in your pictures that you attached!

Gi – I love the story about your dog!!! Yes, I am so excited to finally see everything put together but if you were to ask me 10 or 15 weeks ago, I never thought this day would come! But, here I am … it is just amazing!

AFM – So, today I noticed that since this weekend I have been completely wiped out. I have absolutely “no” energy. Normally, first thing in the morning I am tired but then I have more energy after I fully wake up until around 3pm. But, now I am tired throughout the day. So, I called the lab today so I will go next Friday to take my 28 week lab tests and maybe they can tell me if I am anemic. I keep telling myself that I will soon meet our daughter and it will be all worth it in the end.

Emerald - CONGRATS on your baby girl!! I am glad she is doing well. Preemie girls that early tend to develop better for some reason. I will keep you all in my prayers that she will keep growing quickly and come home from the NICU sooner than expected!

Hazel - And a big congrats to you as well!! Ah, little George (little nothing!). I told you I was notorious for being wrong on gender! I'm so sorry your labor was rough, but glad you are all home safe and healthy now. I can't wait to see pics and thanks so much for keeping us posted.

Angela - I hear you on being wiped out! Obviously I don't do a whole lot, but for some reason yesterday and today I seem to run out of breath just walking to the kitchen!

Tammy - 38 is still a positive...I will also hold out hope that it will go up and that you just had a late implanting embie. Thanks for keeping us updated.

Lou - We love you girl! So glad to hear that everything is on track for your FET next month. Can't wait for you to have another little bean growing.

Steph - WOW!! Talk about timing! The good news is, you should be 34 weeks AT LEAST when they are born which is AWESOME!!! They are going to be absolutely perfect. I am so sorry you have had to be in the hospital at all, but it will all be worth it. Will Andrew still get quarters now that you are staying in the hospital, or will he have to go back to work?

Claudia - So glad you are getting things for the nursery!! It's so fun. Mine is still full of baby junk, nothing is really put away except clothes. I was thinking about you the other day when we hit 30 weeks and thought, "Yay for us!"

Katie - How was your OB appt today?

AFM - Had an OB appt today and all's well, same old same old. I was surprised that I am only measuring 33 weeks (thought I would be at least 34 or more), but I think the babies are spreading out width wise. So far I'm still all belly...40 extra pounds of it, and the last couple of days my back has started to feel it. The BH have also been making a huge comeback the last two days. They were subsiding, but now back to quite a few. So weird, it's like there is no rhyme or reason for them. Apparently they aren't causing cervical changes, but they are annoying! Ah well. The girls are also moving around a lot and it seems like my stomach has been taken over by aliens, especially when they move at the same time. It's so cool :D

My SIL called today (DH's sister), and her family is coming for Thanksgiving, along with another sister. That's the holiday we all get together and this year was supposed to be in Kansas, but obviously that's not going to happen! I told DH I would love to have them as long as they don't expect me to cook or clean :D One sister is doing the cooking, I'm sure the other will help, and no one is staying at the house. The one who called today asked if they should stay somewhere else and I said yes because my mom will be here and there won't be room. Of course she was fine with it. His sisters are pretty easy. We had a great chat because she also has twins (b/g) via IVF and their birthdays are in November. Actually, November 7 which is the day I said I thought my twins would arrive! Would that be crazy or what?

Oh, and I'm going for my glucose test tomorrow (again...I probably should have brought it up at the last appt, but oh well). So hopefully I will pass the one hour again. It's been 10 weeks since I first took it, so you never know...

Babyluv – I see you are having your glucose test again. Any advice for me that you think is important? I will have mine next Friday. I have seen many women take this test but as you know it is different when you are the one taking the test. From what I have seen from other women, you don’t have to fast but do not consume anything too sweet. I was told that I have to consume the sugar drink while I am there, within only a few minutes and then I have to stay for an hour before they draw the test.

Natasha – I hope your day improves for tomorrow.

Angela- yes, you have to drink it within 4 min and they will draw blood an hour later. Some people don't fast, but my ob office says to. I have to get it done at a lab, not the office, so I go first thing in the morning. It's not a huge deal, but if I fail and have to take the three hour test I have NO idea how I'll make it that long without eating! If your appt is in the afternoon, try to eat high protien and low carb that day.

Thanks for the advice but I think I will take mine first thing in the morning also because if I wait too long to eat, I will throw up. I will call my OB to verify if they want me to fast or not. Any preference on flavor of drink either?

I was only given the orange drink as an option and, weird as it sounds, kind of liked it! No problem getting it down.
