Ghost and everyone.

Post by TammyS »

I started off with great lines on a hpt at 8dp3dt and they got darker till 10dp3dt...then on 11dp3dt they were much lighter and last night again at 11dp3dt it seemed to be a little darker again. This morning at 12dp3dt...the line is virtually almost gone. I'm pretty sure that it is a chemical. My normal pregnancy symptoms that I get every time (not related to PIO) which is what prompts me to test are gone, too. My first beta is today. Yes, I know hpt's are the devil and only a beta will answer these questions conclusively, but humor me, and assume that my betas are dropping. I've taken over 10 tests in 5 days....all FRER test...so comparisons are with the same tests.

Have you ever seen a beta drop and then start climbing again? Yeah, I'm holding on to hope here.

If it is a chemical and I am guessing my numbers are around 15-20 at this point...would I be allowed to start again next month right away or will I have to wait 1-3 months? I'm 42, no time to waste here. My original beta was scheduled for Wednesday...I'm wondering that if I dont go in till Wednesday now...if my beta would be under 5 (it's dropping quickly according to how light my lines got so quickly)...and my thinking is that if it is under 5...I may be allowed to start right away regardless. Thoughts?

I did not do bcp's last month and my cycle went sooo much better. Will I have to do them this time do you think? Thanks.

Tammy I am praying so hard for you... my doctor told me to wait at least one month before trying again, but sometimes clinics differ, I use BCPs but its because I don´t have regular cycles and have to schedule the cycle since I have to travel.

Hugs, you are in my thoughts and prayers,
Ana

It could be a chemical pregnancy. They are quite common. But I would not conclude that from HPTs. I think you are seeing variation in the quality of the tests. hCG generally does not fall and rise and fall again like that, from one day to the next, in this time period.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Tammy - Sending you tons of babydust your way !!!! Hoping for a great #. I'm 16 weeks pregnant. When I was 7 weeks had a sub-chorionic hemmorhage. My RE feels it was due to having a miscarriage with one twin. Even though RE never saw twins on US. I was very hard to scan, and it could have been easily missed. Maybe that could cause the lighter HPT's. I'll say a prayer for you :D :D :D

Hi Tammy - don't stress and don't trust HPTs, lots of different factors could make them do that. I had one sho negative when I was very pregnant with our son. Wait for you beta please then wait for another beta. COuld be that 2 or 3 implanted then one didn't make it then your beta would fall then climb up again. Especially seeing that you tranfered 5 that could very well happen but I would go by your blood test numbers and NOT the HPT lines being dark or not. Hang in there hun I am praying for you but please wait for blood and stay away from HPTs! Wait to think about the next cycle if it comes to it, you are jumping the gun girl! Fingers crossed you are very preggo, relax and rub your belly!

Tammy - the scientist in me says not to trust those lines when it comes to lighter/darker lines as there are too many variables. Remember it's testing the concentration of hCG making it out into your urine so are you testing at the same time each day? At the same levels of hydration? Way too many variations for my liking.
