I started on 400mg progesterone suppositories/pessaries twice daily on the day of EC. For the first few days I had really sore boobs but that went away and now in the last day or so my boobs are massive and sore again. I'm not sure how I'm going to fit into my work clothes on Monday !
Anyone else had this? I know it can give you sore boobs but seems odd that they calmed down and now are sore again.
Also - anyone else get spotty? My forehead looks like a teenagers!!!

I had all of those side effects with progesterone... bloating, sore boobs, PMS like symptoms. I would take it all as a sign that it's working... and enjoy the bigger boobs...lol

Yes, I had all of those symptoms also. They make you feel like you are already pregnant. I guess it is a good thing because you will get the practice before it really happens … lol.

Progesterone is made by the follicles when exposed to LH or hCG. You were probably triggered with hCG, which explains the side effects earlier. After the hCG fades, the follicles will stop producing progesterone and the side effects will decrease (although you are probably also taking some supplemental progesterone, the follicles usually make a lot more than you are taking in supplements). The side effects may come and go after that, but if an embryo implants, then the hCG from the embryo will resume stimulation the follicles, progesterone can rise, and side effects can return. So the return of your side effects just might be a good sign...
