Blang - funnily enough I just had the same thing happen. I had 10 follies going into Saturday's SnS and now I've been told that I have 7. I asked them and they said that the other 3 had stopped growing and wouldn't be viable so they stop counting them. Bummer, I know, but keep your PMA.

Ryann - I'm glad to hear your dad pulled through ok. Get some sleep, sweetie.

Franny - Thinking of you and DH. I know you're having a rough time to say the least.

Just heard from the RE's office and my second beta was 534 which didnt quite double but she said it was still really good. They scheduled an ultra sound apt for 10/1 to make sure they look normal. Should I be worried since the number didnt double?

Oh Tammy sweety I am so sorry I can't imagine how you must feel. Please know we are here for you. I wish I had something really profound to say but I am just at a loss for words. This is so unfair! Hugs. Feel free to vent we are here to listen

Kerenthescorpio I am so happy to see you here. I also have a trans abdominal cerclage so its nice to know I am not alone. When are you transferring?

Theresa I think your numbers sound great. I mean it just about doubled. I can't wait to hear about the ultrasound!

Awwww Tammy - I really don't know what to say. Like others have said, we're here for you....vent as much as you need/want to. You SO deserved to be a mommy again. Give your head a few days to register what's going on...perhaps you'll change your mind about being through with IVF. It's a rollercoaster and is truly the best and worst of times but our heads and bodies, in most situations, can cope with it. Even if our wallets can't!

Lauren and Blang4D - Try not too be too upset with your numbers. It only takes one.

Ryann and Franny - hope you are both doing okay.

LisaB - welcome. I'm a relatively new comer to the board too.

Chilli - it's still early days re symptoms and loads of people don't get any during this time. Sending some lovely baby dust your way.

Brandy & Lauren - I'm sorry to hear about the "disappearing" follies at your SnS appointments. That would have made me say "WTF!" too so I'm glad you guys mentioned it so others could chime in. AMF.....I went this morning for an OHS....whatever that is. Let me tell you...it hurt like a son-of-a-bi-yatch! I remember doing one before, I don't remember it being that painful. He said that he had to push through some scar tissue in my cervix and it was good to do it now before the transfer. He said that my uterus was all clear for a baby! YAY! He saw my ED yesterday and said she's doing great. She starts her lupron tomorrow. We got all of the genetic tests back except for the SMD and they were all good. Things seem to be moving along great so far. I can't believe that it's actually happening. I'm excited and scared, all at the same time. I'm so glad that I have you girls to tell my story to. DH and I have decided to keep our ED a secret to everyone. He promised not to share with anyone, even his twin brother. It's so hard not to tell my 2 best friends. One I've been best friends with since we were 5. The other since we were 19. It's hard to keep it to myself and feel like I'm lying to them. I'm sure it's hard for him not to tell his brother too.

They did just call me and upped my follistim from 450iu to 600iu for the next 3 nights. They warned me at my consultation that I may respond poorly and if I have less than 4 follies my dh and I would have to decide if we wanted to continue with retrieval. I hope I don't have to make that decision but I have thought about maybe doing IUI, but I only have one tube that isn't in great shape so I feel IVF really is our only chance even with so few follicles. Maybe things will look better on Monday morning. I thought I read somewhere that anything more than 450 iu of follistim is a waste.....I read too much!

I was never on folistim but I was on menopur and my dose was upped to 600 after I didn't respond well at first and we had 4 and went through with the retrieval and got a bfp (m/c unfortunately) but non the less please don't think you are wasting your time..higher doses really do help. I only had 1 follie before they increased the dose and then 4.

Tammy: So sorry hun. I've been hoping and praying for you....you deserve the best and I am so sorry for this disappointment. Believe me, I know about the evils of Beta Hell and the disappointment it can bring. Please vent--we are all here for you. We can all relate to the rollercoaster of emotions. Again, I am so sorry--please take care of yourself and hold Zach close.

Anna: Isn't it crazy how we are so excited to see AF now?!? This whole process seems designed to make you crazy. LOL. But really, I am so happy for you that you are getting on the move...one step closer...I am so glad to see you infused with PMA. You are truly an amazing spirit...

Franny: Sending prayers and positive messages for DH...really, what a way to keep your mind off 2ww....stay strong...make sure to pamper yourself--if even a little...and remember, we are all here to support you as needed.

Tiger: Costa Rica is awesome! My DH and I honeymooned there...can't wait for an opportunity to return...the natural hot springs at Tabacon...ah...so amazing....wish I could plunge in now....ah....

AFM: Gearing up for a cycle of IUI...can't afford IVF, but found a new RE that is wonderful and willing to work with me through IUI and injectibles. I know not ideal given my age, etc, but it is what we are able to afford. I am actually feeling a lot of PMA with this new RE. I don't see much action on the IUI threads so I was wondering if I might cycle with you ladies? After my last cycle of IVF and m/c I was feeling pretty broken and discouraged. I didn't think that I would have had the ability or energy to try again--and probably wouldn't have without all the support you all offered to me.

But here I am!! And excited to boot!

YAY!!!!!!!! I am so happy to see you here my friend. We will succeed you will see please try to stay positive. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and told that I needed a full hysterectomy (at the time DH and I just started trying) after an insane amount of prayer my cancer was gone!!!!my doctors cannot explain it and it was not a lab mistake ( as some have suggested - I am carefully monitored and completely cancer free) so now they just monitor me but because of this I believe in miracles even when doctors say something is impossible with PMA and prayer miracles happen!!! It is a miracle that I am here with you girls undergoing IVF when only 2 years ago I had every doc tell me that I would never have children. It will happen to the both of us and we will have our miracle babies!!! we totally deserve it!! until then you are in my prayers

wonder i dont go to mgh for IVF. I go to RSC in lexington. i used to go to FCNE in reading, but we all know how that went! DH is down in mass general because he had been going to the crohns and colitis center down there, and they are great! the fruit st garage is always packed! that place is sooooo big!

Tammy- I know I told you on fb, but I just wanted to tell you here as well that I am so sorry about your news and that I am thinking of you and your family. I know IVF sucks, and trust me, I know bfn's suck even worse. And worst of all is starting with little hope, getting an increase, gaining hope, and then losing it at the drop of a dime. My last try did the same thing, super low, increased a couple times, and then dropped. I felt horrible and miserable. I know exactly what you are going through, and all I can say is I am sorry. Big hugs, and pm or fb me if you need someone to talk to.
