Hi All,
Trying to stay out of crazytown. The wait is killing me. I still don't want to torture myself with those evil sticks. Ugh!! I'm anxious about beta but even more anxious about the 12 wk wait for the testing. I know the huge risks for genetic problems at my age and I can't stop thinking about it. I wish we could have done the PGD so we wouldn't have to worry.

Franny- I'm sure everything will go well with your DH's surgery. Take care of him but, PLEASE! take care of yourself too! Keep us posted.

Tammy- I'm soooo sorry!!! My hearts breaking for you!! Hopefully it's not an EP. Best of luck with whatever you decide for the future.

Lisab- Welcome! Glad you're here! :)

Margi26- Welcome! Glad to meet you! You're in the right place for support. Sorry about your miscarriage! :( You're strong to move forward again with this process. It's a tough road. Thanks for the well wishes! I over analyze everything  I need to learn to calm down!

Karin- Sooo happy things are going well with your egg donor!! :D I don't blame you for not wanting anyone to know. DH and I discussed the same thing when the subject came up. Nobody needs to know.

Lou- Hope you won big at the track!! How was the concert? Hope you had a great time and hope you get rid of that cold soon! I'm sure this crappy weather isn't helping. I miss summer already!

I know I missed a few but remember you're in my thoughts. Best of luck to everyone!
Love hugs and baby dust to all,

Hi girls,

BLang
-- Good luck on your next SnS. I hope you get good news on your follies.

Tammy --- Damnit... I'm thinking about you a lot. I feel so bad about your news yesterday. How are you doing? I know you are thinking of being done with IVF and I cannot blame you. I'm so happy that you did get such a beautiful son out of the deal though.

Teresa -- When is your u/s scheduled for? How exciting!

Franny -- Thinking of you and DH today. I hope surgery is a success and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Annashope -- So glad AF is here and you can get started!

Rio-- Sorry you got AF while on BCP's. I spotted for a full week on mine.

Tess -- Have a great time with your Aussie guests this weekend

Tiger -- Yes, thank the lord for a decrease in the Lupron dose! The headaches were killer. I had a fantastic time at the concert.... see my AFM section below for details.

karin -- Hooray for having a clear uterus....lol. That's always good news.

margi -- Glad to see you join us! IUI's are very welcome here. I really hope it's your ticket to BFP.

Chili -- I agree.... don't give in to the sticks. They can just make it worse. Hang in there... you can do it! I did win a bit at the track, like $40! And I stayed for the Lee DeWyze show too... see my AFM section for the crazy details.

karenthescorpio -- How do you feel since your surgery? I love that you have a bionic cervi
x!

AFM -- Still with a bit of a head cold. Stuffy runny nose and clogged ears are making it tough to get a good nights sleep. Tonight we have a wedding to go to. Yesterday I was at the horse track, Arlington Park for the races from 1-5pm. Lee DeWyze was doing a concert at 7:30PM and those who were at the races could sit in the grandstand "general admission" area for the concert so I thought I would do that since DH was working late. As I was leaving the private room on the 3rd floor, I ran into a young reporter from the Daily Herald who asked me where the "Beverly D" room was. I said I didn't know but my program had a map and it was on the 5th floor. So I asked an employee I got to know during the races how to get there and he took us to the elevators. The reporter had an access badge and told me he was covering the Lee DeWyze show for the paper and Lee was doing a "meet and greet" for a select 25 people who paid an arm and a leg for that opportunity. So I thought... what the heck, I'm going to try to go! Long story short... no access badge or anything, I did get to meet Lee, get an autographed 8X10 glossy, and he even played two songs for our select group of 25, er, make that 26. Hehe. I only had my phone, but I took a couple of pics and shot some video which is a bit crappy but I put it on youtube. The reporters photographer got denied entrance and so did the reporter. He was waiting outside the room in the hall when Lee was done so I felt bad and asked an important looking man in a suit if we could have "two minutes with Lee to get a quote". He gave me his business card.... VP of Events, Marketing... blah, blah and said "meet me by the stage after the show and I'll see what I can do, but I cannot right now due to contract obligations." I thanked him and said "OK". So for the concert there were 20,000+ people there. If you paid $50 for a GREEN wrist band (sold out weeks ago) you got to go in an elite section right in front of the stage, if you had a YELLOW wrist band, you could be in the next section back. Everyone else was in the grandstands. I had no wrist band. I asked a nice young man in a suit where we could go to meet the VP by the stage after the show and flashed the business card. He immediately made a call, apologized for making me wait, and then walked us down stageside where I stayed for the rest of the show. I lost my reporter friend, but he did give me his email and phone number and asked if I would send a few of my pics for the paper since the photographer was MIA. I left after the show and sent the email. He wrote back and said he would credit my name in the story if my pics were used. Turns out that didn't happen, the photographer was there and got some pics during the show that they used. But it was still pretty amazing. Oh yeah... and BTW.... I made $40 at the track too! I love when shit like this happens to me. Here's a link to my youtube video of Lee playing a song for us in the private room before the show. I'll also put up a pic I took.

Tammy - I am so so sorry!!!!

Lou - Sounds like you had a great time. I have not been to the track I'm forever and there is one 10 minutes from my house.

Franny - How is Barry? When is your beta?

AFM - Just waiting. I did put a deposit on my 2nd Chihuahua lol. She is 12 days old and so tiny! I will post a pic when I am on the real computer. I was planning to get her and bring her to my parents house first and see if they want to keep her as a surprise. I know they will not be able to resist. I did not tell my DH that; I just figured he did not care. Well now I think I was wrong! I started to mention that to him, and I got the feeling he is set on keeping her! He surprises me. Sometimes I think he is doing things just for me, then I realize he really wants it too (like IVF). Last night he was talking about how a friend adopted a baby from another country for a lot less money than adoptions here. I think he would be interested if this last cycle does not work. Hopefully we won't need to look into that though! Anyway, I think I get my new puppy around November 1!!!

lauren1171- a new puppy...yay! i love ours...he is so cute, even if he wakes me up at 6:45 on a sunday morning, like today  i hope you get your bfp this time around & adoption will not be something that you'll have to think about, but if need be, it's nice to know dh is on board. when in november do you think you'll be cycling? i think we spoke about that before...we may be very close. i should be starting my stims in the beginning of november.

ginger- sounds like you're moving right along! i never had to take menopur, so don't have any advice, but i'm sure you'll get through it :-) as far as the pio shots, they're not that bad...just ice for about 10-15 minutes prior to the shot & afterwards, i walk for 10 minutes &/or sit on a heating pad, so it doesn't settle as lumps into my butt. i won't lie, it's inevitable that your butt will get sore, especially by the hip area. but it's all worth it for that bfp! also, before the shot, while i'm icing, i take the syringe w/ the pio in it & put it in my bra, so it warms up & it's easier to go in when the injection is done.

lou- your story about getting to meet lee is awesome...just like you said "i love when shit like this happens to me"...those are the best b/c it's totally unexpected, you didn't have to really try, it just all fell into place. i'm so glad you had super-great time! how was the wedding yesterday? are you feeling any better? hope so.

chili- keep strong & don't give in to those evil sticks...you can do it!!! everything will be ok...i'm praying for you! 6 more days....you can do it!

franny- i've been thinking about you & barry. how did his surgery go? i hope it was a success & he's having a speedy & smooth recovery. please take it easy & try not to stress, as challenging it may be during such a difficult time. in 4 days, you'll be getting your bfp! how is it going w/ barry's parents visiting?

annashope- your story is so inspirational! you're an amzing woman & you'll get your other miracle soon! so glad af showed & now you can get started.

margi- so good to hear from you! so happy that you found a new re...that makes a world of difference. so when will you be doing your iui?

brandy- how are you feeling? do you feel any bloating since they increased your follistim dose? i'm praying that you get some good news tomorrow....let us know how things go.

karin- are you talking about an hsg...where they put a dye into ur uterus & tubes to make sure they're all clear? if yes, that was the worst pain ever! but i'm glad you got the clear to go ahead. wow, sounds like everything's moving in the right direction. pretty soon you'll be holding your beautiful baby!

tiger- so jealous of your trip to costa rica! that the 1 thing about teaching...you can't really take a chunk of time off. you have to work around summer vacation or the vacation weeks we get off during the school year. but i guess i shouldn't complain...we're very lucky w/ the time that we do get off.

rio- sorry af is being evil. i know what you mean...as much as i needed the time off after our last bfn, i'm itching to get started. november will be here soon for both of us.

teresa- your 2nd beta is great! i'm so happy for you! sounds like the re is happy w/ it, or else he/she would've scheduled a 3rd beta. only 6 days & you'll get to see your bean(s)!

lauren319- sorry about the 3 follies that stopped growing...but your're right, you have to keep that pma up, as hard as that may be. when's your next sns?

tammy- sweetie, i'm so sorry! i really thought this was the 1...my heart just breaks for you. i'm thinking about you!

lisa- welcome (back)! you're definitely posting in the right place. congrats on your successful 1st cycle. i hope this 1 is just as successful!

krys- yay, you're pupo...congrats!

osi- i will do the af dance for you...hopefully it'll be here on time.

karen- i remember you! i'm so sorry about your loss...i can't even imagine what that was like. i'm really glad that you're moving forward.

ryann- i'm so happy that your dad's surgery went well. you must be a wreck....running around like crazy & getting no sleep. i hope things have calmed down a bit. is your dad still in the hospital or did they let him come home? so when are they thinking your fet will be?

i know i didn't get to all of you, but please know that i'm thinking about you everyday.

afm...it's so hard for me to do a lot of personals throughout the week b/c w/ school i'm so busy. anyways, i do read almost every night...please know that. i MUST know what's going on w/ my girls. so if i'm not responding, it doesn't mean i'm not reading. i will post pics of roscoe soon...i promise! i just have to get them up on the computer. he is so cute!!! as far as the ivf world is concerned, nothing is really going on here. af is due on wednesday. it probably won't show until thursay, possibly friday, which means my next af will be due around the 28th/29th of october. so based on my f/u appointment on october 11th w/ my re, i should be having my baseline around the end of october/beginning of november, depending on the date of af. it kind of stinks, b/c my b-day is on november 2nd...this is why i'm kind of not planning anything for it. this time dh & i want to keep it completely to ourselves, not even tell his mom or my parents, or his siblings. we just want to have this cycle completely to ourselves. so when my b-day rolls around, i won't really have anything planned & won't have to make much of an excuse of why i can't drink. i think if i get an invitation somewhere, i'll use the excuse of dh is taking me out, which won't be an excuse really since we'll probably go out...i just won't drink. oh well...it's a small sacrifice, as far as i look at it.

Ester - I can't wait to see your puppy pics! My RE said I will start meds about 2 weeks after my D&C which is 10/28. I think that ER should be toward end of November. My anniversary us 11/17, and my birthday is 11/26, so I will probably not be drinking either. I hardly do anymore anyway lol!

Moore, please dance for me. You guys are soooooooooooooo good at following up and writing to everyone. Not sure if I am able to keep up.

Tammy, I am soooo sorry, I hope all is well and its not a EP. Keep strong!

Everyone esle, keep strong and I wish you well. Sorry, I cant say more, but I am starting to get a headache and feel tired. I am going to try and take a nap i think.

Oh, I gave myself the lupy injections that last couple of days, it hurt less then when my husband does it. I still might continue to get him to give them to me, so that he feels part of the process. I know its not a good as the natural way

Hey girls,

Sorry I've been MIA. In the past week I have given myself shots in the weirdest places...the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Hollywood Bowl, and a movie theater bathroom stall. Since then, I haven't been feeling well at all (sorry to skimp on the personals), but the good news is that I triggered last night and I'm going in tomorrow morning for my ER! Think good thoughts for me!!

Hi girls...I promise to do personals tonight when I get home...in the meantime, I posted a new question to ghost that I'd love opinions on. It's regarding how many embryos to thaw, but now I have the grades! Thanks and I'll be back on after work!

I hope you all had a great weekend and are off to a great week. I went in for my SnS this morning after having my follistim increased to 600 on Friday. It didn't help get more follicles as I still only have 4. They have plumped up nicely and are now 19,17,17,16. I have to wait for them to call me to let me know for sure but it looks like I will be triggering tonight and doing ER on Wednesday. I am feeling bloated now but it's not too bad. DH has been great giving me all of my shots (his way of being able to participate) but he's never giving me a trigger shot before so I'm nervous about that and of course I forgot to have them mark the spot for me this morning so he would know exactly where to stick that big needle. Anyway, I'm sure I have survived worse LOL. I'll update as soon as I get the final word this afternoon. :D

Oh and I wanted to ask about the ET, when doing say a 5 day transfer do they count ER day and day one or is the next day considered day one? I'm trying to figure out if I have ER on Wednesday will my ET be on Sunday or Monday. My clinic only does 5 day transfers.
