Yes, I was pretty nervous for this next round too. But I just found my old magic 8 ball going through a box of stuffed animals to wash and re-purpose with Sean, I asked if my next FET would work and it came up with "My Sources Say Yes." So I'm all set. 8)

Wondercat: You go girl! :-)

I am still waiting for my period. That would also mean starting injections the next day! :-( UGHHHHH!
Anyhow, trying to keep a positive attutude and just praying for best. The big difference this time is that no matter what the end result is, I will still have my peanut! And that thought gives nme a lot of strength!

CHARR: is the PT place you're taking your son specialized in treating children or is it an adult facility? I am just curious since the 1st place the insurance referred him was an adult place and I ended up taking him independently to a facility specialized in babies and children.
Have a great week you both.

Nancy - Yes, the PT place we go to specializes in children only. It's at a Children's Hospital. What were your son's final measurements (cephalic index, asymmetry) when he was discharged from his helmet and does his head look pretty much textbook perfect now or is there still a slight asymmetry? We're just feeling ready to have our son out of the helmet!

Hi ladies,

CHARR: his head looks almost perfect. Probably if I wasn't aware of theplagiocephaly to begin with, would say perfect, but since i have trained myself to look very closely, I do see a very minor imperfection, which is just fineby me.

Here are his measurement: before after
cranial width 125mm 128mm
cranial lenght 141mm 149mm
cephalic index 88.65 85.9
standard deviation +2.99 +1.2

cranial vault assymetry 23 7
mid-face assymetry 8 3
skull base asymetry 10 5

Hope this helps.
How much longer does your baby have? IS he done with PT yet?

CHARR and WONDERCAT: I started my period on the 4th. Started injections the next day. Have an ultrasound tomorrow and the transfer is scheduled for the 22nd. Wish me luck!!! :-)

My peanut started standing up holding unto something. His progress this week overall has been amazing.
I also started doing my own coking for him (some organic potatoe and meat combo along with carrots and spinach from earth's best. He has a hard time swallowing though so I'm hesitant about finger foods.

Have a great week.

Nancy - How exciting! Are you posting to any of the fall or September boards? I'm posting in the Fall board which is making me antsy because everybody is moving along and I'm still waiting for my RE appointment next week! Sean just walked from the coffee table to the couch this weekend, about 4 steps! Very cool, but scary because my house is so not baby-proofed. His big thing lately is not wanting to lie still to be changed; he wants to stand up and play with the light switches. Which is awesome, because there's nothing like wrestling with a wildly squirming, surprisingly strong, pissed off little creature who may at any moment plummet to the floor, PLUS the added excitement of trying to avoid getting poop everywhere while hoping that you don't get peed on.

Nancy - Thanks so much for sharing your son's measurements. Our son's cephalic index started at 93% and is now down to 89%. His cranial vault asymmetry started at 7 and is now down to 3. His cranial base and mid-face asymmetry were only 2 to start with so they were not an issue. The orthotist would like him to be in it another couple of weeks and then it's up to us if we feel like he's done. We are definitely glad we did it as his head is looking so improved! He is still going to PT but only twice a month. Best of luck to you and your husband with your upcoming transfer!!

Wondercat - Our son is the same way with diaper changes and with getting dressed!

Hi ladies,

well, just got my embryo transfer on Wednesday and was on bed rest for 3 days. Just waiting and keeping fingers crossed. Mixed feelings. Maybe less pressure than before knowing that we already have a miracle. At the same time, the reality of the clock ticking is very much there too. We'll see... Also, I can't carry my baby for 10 days which is really hard!

CHARR: it's great that your son is almost done! Especially considering how hot the weather is, at leat in this neck of the woods!
WONDERCAT: wrestling; I know what you mean! :-) Has Sean started running yet? :-)

Are any of your kids talking yet. Mine only says mama.
Have a great weekend.

nancy1 - Congrats on PUPO!! I get to start BCP with my next AF (due this week, but after last month we'll see)... Can't believe things are starting to happen again. I have to ask... Do you ever have any worries about being able to share your time with 2 babies? Every so often I will be singing Sean to sleep and have this mini panic attack that I won't have enough ME to go around. I know I really want a second one, just wondered if anybody else has the same freakouts I do...

Haha, Sean isn't running yet but he can take a few steps on his own. I'm guessing running by his 1st birthday! As for talking - he talks non-stop. Can't understand a syllable of it yet, but that's beside the point. :) He definitely understands things, like clapping when we ask him to or putting up his hand for a high five. Doesn't understand "if you stop squirming around I could change your diaper approximately 5 billion times faster," that's the next trick to teach him...

Hi ladies,

thank you so much for your well wishes. It means a lot.

I don't know how I feel, what I feel, etc... Last time I was hyperstimulated so I felt pregnant immediately. This time, don't have much symptoms so I am VERY cautious. We'll see....
Just curious: did you guys feel anything during the 2 week wait last time (syptoms, etc..?)

Have a great week and I will keep you posted.
Thanks again.

Hi ladies,

I will find out on Sunday if peanut will have a brother or a sister....
Do I worry about having time for 2? Yes
So I worry about how I would handle the pregnancy with one being so young? YEs
But above all, I worry about the possibility of a BFN.
As my son is growing older, I think more and more how great it would be for him to have a playbody, although the work ahead would be incredibly hard!
My hormones are on overdrive and I have many many feelings.
But life is about taking it one day at a time so for now I'll concentrate on my work tomorrow (my AF is due tomorrow, by the way, so I know I'll be making frequent trips to the bathroom) and then go take the test on Saturday.

Either way, I will keep you guys posted.
No matter what, I am grateful to God that he already gave me one incredible miracle.

Have a great weekend you both,

Hi Ladies,

well, it is now official. It's a BFN! :-(
I had a few tears, I won't lie to you. But having my peanut was such a GREAT source of comfort!
No matter what lies ahead, at least I can tell him we tried to give him a sibling when he is older and not look back.
My RE is supposed to contact us tomorrow for further instructions.
I have 2 more frosties.
At almost 41, I think we are getting close to closing this chapter in our lives.
WONDERCAT: good luck to you!

Nancy - Sorry to hear the news. But as you've said, you have a lot to be thankful for with your son. I look at our son every day and am still amazed at how perfect he is and how lucky we were to get him on our first IVF try. Good luck with your next try.

Hi,

CHARR: thanks for your kind words. And yes, we were very blessed also to have our son on our first IVF try and I will foerever be grateful for that.

My RE called this morning. He said if I wanted to try again, I could start injections immediately after my period starts. One of the leftover embryos is excellent and the other one v.good... But chances of workind 15-20%.
He said with a fresh cycle it would be 40% but he would try frozen 1st.
We haven't made any final decisions yet. I don't need to tell you what the process does to our wallet.
But this is the update.
I feel much better today and I spent a nice relaxing day with my son today at home.

Hope to hear from you ladies soon,
Nancy

Hi Ladies,

I finally started my period and it started with a vengeance!
I decided to take a month off before trying again, probably in November.

So what are your little ones doing these days?

My son is biting everything, everybody, anytime! :-) We try not to laugh when he does that, i.e biting us, and tell him it's not allowed, but it's so hard not to. He now has 8 teeth, 4 fully out, and the lateral incisors slowly errupting.
Not walking yet. He is puling himself up and cruising. But I have a feeling that will happen soon too.
His sleep has taken a turn for the worse a bit. Waking up every night at around 2 or 3. Then falling back to sleep after 5-10 minutes.
He is taking 2 naps now, half to one hour each.
Not eating regular meals yet. He has a hard time swallowing anything that is a bit chunky.
I puree organic meat or chicken for him then mix it with organic whole food veggies.
Used his sippy cup for 1st time today (way behind in that :-)
I can't believe I'm saying this when he's not even one yet but I put him on a wait list for a preschool.
I think your sons b-days are coming soon since they were born before mine if I remember correctly,so Happy B-day to both of them.
Looking forward to hearing from you guys.
Have a great weekend.
