Ok... so I had my scheduled u/s today and it just so happens that it's the HR/peri I always see who is on this weeks rotation. Well, let me tell you first off... getting an u/s when you are the size of a house is not fun. lol The babies are of course smushed in there and so they have to push hard to get the measurements they need and see what they need to see. OUCHIE! It also caused contractions and pushing on belly plus contractions, yeah, no fun either. I survived though... I even used labor breathing techniques to get through it. YAY me! So... on to the news already, right? Well, you will never guess how much these little brick houses weigh. Wait for it... wait for it... 6lbs a piece.

I'm not even 35 weeks yet! They are looking great and doing well. Doc couldn't see the previa, even with the lifting the belly trick he did 2 weeks ago. So he did a transvaginal. This was yet another surprise, the placenta moved and is now marginal from what he can tell. Not just that but believe it or not, my cervix is long and closed.

With Alex I wasn't ven 40 weeks and was dialated 2cm. Now I am probably at least measuring 45cm and long and closed. I guess 11 years made my cervix bionic. So what does this all mean??? I have a choice... I can opt to try and go for a vaginal delivery, but I can still bleed. I would also have to labor on my own, whenever that may be. It is still a risk and I may need a c-section in the end anyway. Then the other option is leave things the way they are now and go straight for the surgery. This doc says he may consider taking them no earlier than the first of the month.. or did he say first of next week?? Hmm, will have to clarify that tomorrow when he does rounds. Anyway, of course if I bleed which still can happen, then the same rule applies, I deliver then by c-section. That's about it. Interesting huh? lol No signs that my prediction is correct. All seems to be doing much better then expected. Good news is that the twins will likely not see any NICU time.
Katie - Oh don't worry about me. As much as I *****, I am a survivor. lol I will make it no matter how long they make me wait. The pain and boredom is no fun, but being a mom has a lot to do with sacrifice right? That's all I have to do. As for the in-laws. No they aren't waiting, they are coming the 1st from the sounds of it which could very likely be my delivery day since there is no sign of anything happening before then and this doc might go ahead and schedule something. Who knows if it will be that day that he schedules it though. Andrew has tried to tell them to wait a few weeks at least since they could come out here and no get to see babies at all and I might be in the hospital the whole time. His brother says that he has to take the time then since that is what his work approved. I would think that it isn't that hard to change, but no one ever said his family was bright. Andrew also told me that he will tell his family how it is. They are there to help period. They will cook, clean and take care of themselves. We are not entertaining, we are going to be adjusting and taking care of our babies. That will be our only job, while they take care of everything else. So, we will see how that goes. lol Glad me reminding you about the soda can has gotten your pg brain a little boost. lol I hope it works!! I am hoping you don't get Mr Funny Man for labor and delivery. I know just how it is when you are in pain and not in the mood for crap like that. There is always one nurse you don't like too. Well, for me anyway. Apparently I glared at one and straight out told her, "I don't like you!!" I guess they are use to that though.

I even told my ex that he wasn't allowed to talk during a contraction. Everyone else could talk, just not him. He also wasn't allowed to touch me during one either. lol Oh fun times. Anyway, I hope sleeping gets easier for you. Maybe some benedryl will help? Good for you for having your bag ready too! We are still piecing things together since I can't be home or go shopping to finish it. Did I mention that the list was made and planned to go shopping the day I bled? Bad timing.
Pa - So you have a scattered brain host too? So I wasn't the only one with one of those. lol Yeah, mine was late for my shower so that was interesting. In the end it was a pretty good experience and I am sure yours will be too. Hopefully the level headed one evens it out. lol Sounds like you are doing your registry the same way that I did. I was so eager to start before we new the gender, I just hit a stage where I wasn't scared anymore.

Then once I did find out genders, there was a lot I changed anyway.

Any feeling on if you are team pink or blue? My intuition might be off lately, but I say team pink? That's my guess. lol The NICU tour was nice to see, but it looks like we may not need it and I haven't seen the regular nursery. I guess it doesn't matter much since if they don't go to the NICU they will likely be in the room with us. Hope you enjoyed your dunkin donuts!!
Babyluv - Looks like we might not see any time in the NICU as long as I last just a few more days to hit 35 and babies behave on the outside. Did you see how much these babies weigh? I can't believe it. I was guessing more like 4.5 or 5 since they are suppose to slow down, or so I have read, at 30-12 weeks. Nope, not these babies, they are acting like two singleton babies. lol Alex was born not too much bigger than they are now at full term 40 weeks. No wonder I am so miserable.

I am feeling a little better today even thoguh I don't think I will pop anymore. I got decent sleep last night. I think the abien combined with hardly any sleep the night before helped. Plus me being propped up so that kept the contractions to a minimum. I have been having a lot of those as I have been typing actually. I am sure it is more BH though as usual. However, the transvaginal u/s could have stired something loose I suppose. Eh, things have been going so perfect for the babies, I don't see anything happening now. lol So Nov 7th... that's a good date. It's a Sunday so you should have lots of support from friends and such being that not many people work on Sundays. I like visiters in the hospital. Makes me feel loved.

Though I haven't had much love the past three weeks. haha! It's ok though, people have lives and I am not close by to many of the people I know. A 30 minute drive or longer for a lot of people can be hard. I do have a few friends that live close to the hospital, but those friends work really hard. One owns her own spa, that can't be easy. lol Anyway, do you know your fundal height? At 30 I was 40cm so I wonder how other twin moms are around the same time. I know I have monster babies, but still curious. lol Another twin mom I know always got checked but was never told her fundal so I told her to ask next time. She was measuring 38 at 32 weeks. She looked big too, I guess that just goes to show me how huge I really am.

I blame Andrew, before I was ven pregnant he ursed me. He kept telling me that Ford babies were big... why does he always have to be right when it comes to these kids?
Hazel - Still thinking about you! I bet you are soaking up every minute with little Georgie.

I was reminicsing to Katie about my laboring experience in the past and thought... we really didn't hear any "stories" yet about yours. I am sure something interesting must have happened. When you get the chance, I would love to hear if you had any laboring woman tantrums or told off a nurse? lol Take your time, no one expects you to keep up with us and a newborn!
