grrrr I'm really stressing out right now. I just found out ANOTHER person I know is pregnant. Why is everyone in the world having babies except for me?

I should be pregnant now too. I should be finishing my first trimester and announcing it to the world. I should be excited about my baby, due to be born in April...

Instead I'm starting again. I'm starting to lose hope that I'll have a baby to bring home with me. I'm starting to worry about how much this is taking over my life. I've been ttc for 3 years now with no breaks. I don't want to take a break. I want to have a baby. I hate how so many people get pregnant without even understanding what it means to 'actively' try. They just stop their birth control - and freak out if it takes 3 months to get pregnant.
People know about how we are struggling to concieve - and freaking ASK me for advice on ttc when they start trying. One woman asked me in June and told me in July that it worked the first month. Another woman asked me for advice when she got married in May - and is now finishing her first trimester. WTF? Why can't it happen for me?

If this FET works, the soonest we would have a baby is July 2011.... 4 years after we started ttc.... I can't believe. I'm so stressed out right now. This isn't supposed to happen.

I can't believe I have to deal with infertility, IVF and multiple loss (including neonatal loss).... ****!

leorira,

I am new to the IVF world, and have yet to have my first FET, I know how stressful this can be, I tried for 7 years and Finally my DH decided to go get checked and here we are... I know how hard it is to see someonr pregnant everyone around me is pregnant... they pop them out left and right and still have the nerve to ask me when I am having one, sometimes I feel like Screaming "YOU WILL BE THE FIRST TO KNOW" (knowing they must be thinking I am having fertility issues)but I try not to let it get the best of me... I am staying focused and positive and hopefully... We will both get pregnant soon, some people dont realize how lucky they are to just get pregnant.. This is a hard journey but when you finally get pregnant think of all the Joy... Sometimes it takes alot of time to give someone the perfect baby... :) Yours will be here soon :) I know its easier to say cause I havent been through it all yet, but I figured I try to give my advice in hopes that it gives you hope on this journey.. :) If you ever need to vent you can always message me... ;)

Good Luck God Bless :)

oy. I made another post, but thought I'd update you ladies...

I'm probably going to have to wait until November for my FET.... I had a check up today and recovery from the D&C isn't going as quickly as I had hoped. I still have a lot of blood in my uterus and my beat is still really high (934). UGHHHH...

I really hope we get our FET by the end of October! I'm soooo desperate to get pregnant again!

Oh no... I'm sorry that this d&c is taking
it's toll on you. You've already been through
enough like seriously!! I hope things start to
clear up for you really soon. I find one
of the hardest things with this journey is all
the waiting it makes everything that much worse.
Well good luck and keep us posted!

Well even though I originally thought I would be having an October transfer the NP lied. When I went back for my baseline appt on Sept 21, she said things looked good and that we could do it right away. Then she sent us into the "library" to wait while she worked on the calendar. Then she came in and said it would have to be Nov. 8 because we would be rushing it if we tried to hit the next cycle. What she meant was the embryologist wont be in town when we need her, so we have to push back an extra month. After my mental breakdown in the office I guess I have come to terms with the fact I cant change it. Now I am on birth control until Oct 18, and start my Lupron on Oct 11. She also informed me I will be doing daily Estrogen shots this time to help increase the lining (along with up to 4 estrogen pills a day). I found out I am homozygous for MTHFR gene and will also need to start lovenox a few days after the transfer. I am just hoping this cycle is the one.

Hello ladies,

my two week wait has been going pretty fast I have
been working so that makes it a bit easier. But ask me
next week and it might be a different story lol!!
My butt is killing me from my progesterone shots I have
a bump on each cheek the size of baseballs. I'm doing
everything they are telling me but my butt is still in bad
shape.

Leorira- how are you holding up??

Blairwh58- I've had a few break downs too, some
worse thean others but I think were all entitled to
them!! How are things going for you?!? Where in your
cycle are you?

Kynlee- yeah for getting a transfer date that's so
exciting.. Don't worry at all the transfer is the easy part.
How many are you transferring?? Just make sure you take
it easy after even if you're feeling great. Put your feet up
and love on your little embryos!!

Hope you are all having a wonderful week so far!!
Good luck and baby dust to all!

I would take another day or so off if I were you..
Rent some good movies and don't lift anything heavy.
My clinic said nothing over 20 pounds.
I guess it depends what you do for a job as well my
job is pretty physical so I wanted to be sure I gave my
embryos time to snuggle in...
You'll do great... I'm hoping they both take too!

for my first transfer (2e3d), I went back to work the day after transfer and didn't do anything special during the 2ww. I got pregnant with twins.
For the next transfer (after we lost our twins at 22 weeks), I stayed home, on the couch, for an entire week after the transfer - BFN.

Since then, I've taken a middle road - 2-3 days at home on the couch, taking it really easy at work for the 2ww - and had one BFN and one BFP. I'm so confused about what helps and what doesn't matter!

We transferred 2e3d the first time and got twins (who we lost) - so since then, my dr has really pushed for SET (as has my husband). For our first FET, we had a pair of 3de - we defrosted and grew to blasts and transferred the better one (the other one wasn't good enough to re-freeze). Emotionally, I *HATED* it. I hated discarding a growing embryo. I hated the 3 days of waiting to see if they grew to blasts or not. It was awful.

For our next FET, we transfered the pair of 3de we had. Also BFN

For this fresh cycle, we grew all the embryos to blasts (we hadn't done that the first time, since I'm young and our issuses are MFI - so clinic policy is 3de). I was convinced to transfer just the single best blast (BFP - but missed miscarriage).

Now I have 2 blastocycsts frozen individually. Dr wants us to transfer one. But I'm getting so desperate (and having a single frostie scares me since I know somone who did a whole FET cycle only to have nothing to transfer at the end when her single frostie didnt make it). DH and I are really reallyreally leaning towards transferring both. We have until transfer day to decide.... it's a really hard decision....

3de = 3 day embryos (ie, embryos grown in the lab for 3 days). Most doctors transfer either 3 day embryos or blastocysts (which are 5 or 6 days). Blastocysts have higher pregnancy rates, but there are a lot of considerations for which stage to grow the embryos. If you only have a few, doctors worry that if they grow to blasts, nothing will make it to transfer day. Some doctors feel that there are embryos who would become healthy babies if transferred at 3 days, but who wouldn't make it to blasts in the lab (which is harder for the embryo). If you only have a few embryos, most doctors will transfer at 3 days. If you have a lot (like me) or are doing an elective Single Embryo Transfer (SET), most doctors will grow to blasts. (growing to blasts is also more expensive). Lots of factors regarding 3de or 5de that need to be talked about with your doctor.

In my case, we did 3de the first time, since there was no reason not to transfer 2 and my insurance didn't see a 'justification' to grow to blasts. It was fine, until we lost our twins. Now we want to do only SETs, but the odds are better with 1 blast, rather than one 3de.
