Lauren319- Congrats on your 6 eggs! Get lots of rest and let us know how many fertilized when you get a chance!

Blang- Yay for triggering tonight! Good luck with you ER on Wed and enjoy tomorrow's needle free day.

franny- I hope your hubby's surgery went well. Check in when you can but try not to stress. I really hope he feels better soon!

Tiger- Cant wait to hear all about your trip when you get back! When do you leave again?

Lou- Your weekend sounded like a ton of fun and how exciting about your good luck at the track!

Karin- Glad things are going well with your ED and your tests. Wont be long now!

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement. The nurse said right after she gave me my beta number that I needed to come in for this ultrasound to make sure everything looked "normal" so I wasn't sure if there was something wrong. I'll let you know how things go on Friday. Well wishes and baby dust to all!

Lauren - YAY for 6! Now, you'll have to excuse my lack of knowledge on PGD, but how long before you know how many are free from fragile x?

Brandy - YAY for triggering tonight (if you got the official word that is)!!!

Nancy - YAY for starting Lupron tomorrow!

Tiger - I'm doing well, thanks! Do you think you'd have room for me in your suitcase for the Costa Rica trip?

AFM, I start some antibiotics tonight so they're in my system prior to Wednesday's screening tests. And my med orders are starting to go through. I already had 2 boxes of Endometrin so I don't need anymore of that for the time being. Got the call from Freedom that the additional trigger shot I needed (my RE has you do 2 trigger shots) will arrive Thursday. Then I'm just waiting for the "oh shit, this is going to hurt the wallet" call from the other pharmacy. They're the ones that will be sending a bunch more boxes of Bravelle, the Menopur, & the Ganirelix, more antibiotics, estrace, and one more I can't remember. All the injectables will be OOP, but the nurse thinks the others may be covered or partially covered under my primary or secondary insurance sine they're not specifically for infertility. Fingers crossed, they'll cover something - I'll take any bit of help I can get! :D

Lauren---Congrats on your SIX! Get some rest!

Lou--What a fun-filled weekend! Soooo jealous!

Blang--Sounds like you have some mature follies! Enjoy your needle free day tomorrow!

Ester--The test I had was an OHS. I've had the HSG test before....a couple years ago...and this one wasn't quite as bad...but close. He said it was probably painful because of scar tissue in my cervix. How are you? You must be super busy with school and a new puppy.

Klinger--You're on your way! I hope that your insurance pays!

AFM.....I was just in the middle of typing this and got a call from my RE. I am so afraid right now. We've been waiting for one last genetic test...Spinal Muscular Distrophy. Turns out...she's a carrier. Makes me want to scream! Now my DH has to get tested. That test took almost 3 wks to come back. Now everything is on hold. He said that if he's not a carrier that we can proceed and the worst that can happen is that our baby would be a carrier. The fact that she's a carrier scares the hell out of me. And to think...this test wasn't mandatory...I just decided to to it. So....looks like I'm waiting....once again. :(

Karin...I'm sorry that you got that news today. I know it puts it on hold, but wouldn't you rather have that peace of mind? Good luck with getting DH tested. I'll be sure to send an extra prayer up!

BLang...I'm so glad your follies plumped up nicely for you! Yay for triggering! Gotta love those DHs and their excitement for stabbing! In case I don't make it back on before your ER, best of luck!!!

Kilnger...My fingers are crossed that your insurance will cover something! Isn't it exciting (although very overwhelming price wise) to be ordering the meds and getting all ready?! When I came homet o my box the other day I was over the moon! They sit out on my counter so I can see them every day...I know, huge dork! I'll update on Dad in the AFM section...but thanks for asking!

Teresa...I hope all looks perfect on Friday, I'm sure it will! I can't wait to hear how great your little one looks!

Lauren319...Congrats on 6 eggs! What day do they do the testing? I'll keep my fingers crossed they are all super strong and genetically perfect!

Rio...I love your AFM section...That's how I feel ALL the time! Thanks for asking about my Dad, I'll put his update in my AFM section. How are you and your son feeling now?

Nancy...Yay for Lupron!

Lauren1171...Wouldn't a BFP be a great bday and anniversary present?! I'll keep my fingers crossed! They still weren't able to move up your D&C huh?? Oh and congrats on the new puppy...I'm getting jealous over here! I keep telling DH I need a puppy for my bday and he keeps telling me we should focus on one thing at a time (and the one thing being IVF :D ). I'll keep trying though. I send him pictures of puppies that I pick out every day!

Ester...I can't wait to see Roscoe! Things have definitely calmed down over here and I spent my entire weekend catching up on sleep and grading! I havent' spoken to my RE since my cancelled cycle, but she said we could start with my 2nd AF, so I estimate FET will be the first week of November.

txc...Yay for starting stims! It won't be long now!!!

Lou...I had to share your Lee story with my sister because she LOVES him! She totally hates you! I work really close to the track, right in Cicero! I should have popped over and seen some Lee too!

Chili...STAY OUT OF CRAZYTOWN!!!!! :D I hope you're still hanging in there!

Franny...I hope DH is doing well. I haven't posted, but my prayers were said for him! I hope you're hanging in there stilL!

Margi...Welcome!

Tes...I hope your visitors are keeping your mind occupied!!! I can't wait to hear your news on SaturdaY!

Anna...Yay for AF! So glad you get to move forward!

Tammy...I am so, so sorry. I'm sorry I didn;t get on here to post earlier. I hope Zach is helping you through this.

LisaB and karenthescorpio...Welcome!

Krys...How are you holding up? Your beta is coming up soon!

AFM...Dad is doing better. He is home and resting. Unfortunately we already know he will need this surgery again in 5-6 months and his heart is only working on it's own 35% of the time. The other 65% of the time his pacemaker is working. Thank god for pacemakers though! Only time will tell, but for now, he is doing quite well! Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers! Nothing really to update on the IVF front. I found out today that my frosties are two 8-cell grade 5 (on a 1-5 scale) and two 7-cell grade 4 embryos. I'm still so torn on the thawing dilema! I want to ask RE if she can thaw 2, and if they don't both survive if she can still thaw another the same day. Ideally I want to transfer 2, but I REALLY don't want to only have 1 survive the thaw and only get to transfer 1. Meds came. Start Provera on Friday to bring on AF. I think my FET should be the first week of November.

Karin - Oh the crap that just keeps happening to you is ticking me off! I'm sorry about this latest test result - since you & the ED have already started the Lupron, are they just planning to keep you on it until the results are back?

Ryann - So glad to hear from you and glad to hear Dad is home from the hospital and doing well (despite the fact that he'll need this surgery again in a few months.) And thanks, I know they won't cover much of the meds but hey - any little bit will help, right? And despite the chunk of change, I am really excited that the meds will be here soon. :)

Brandy - Congrats on triggering last night and YAY for ER tomorrow morning!

Franny - I just keep thinking of you. Hoping Barry is recovering well from his surgery and hope you're not wearing yourself out emotionally and physically. I have you down for your beta tomorrow so I really hope tomorrow is going to bring you wonderful news!

Just saying hello-still no idea what we are doing!

Post by miyaya »

Good Morning, Happy Fall!
I have been following this thread, seeing how some of my past cyclers have been doing! Wishing you all the best of luck here. As many of you know I was on teh Summer 2010, August 2009 and March 2010 threads. Still waiting for my BFP. DH and I are taking a break right now from IVF as we gather options/information. We are still at a loss as to whay we should do. We met with a fertility doc for second opinion and he said he has no clue. He wanted to consult with someone from Boston. So I am waiting on that information. We have a third opinion next week scheduled. We also starting the fostering process (just in case). DH and I met with some adoption agencies but until we have the IVF info, are not proceeding just yet. We only have the find availablility to do either 1 more IVF or adoption so we are making our next move cautiously. Either way, its a huge decision. I just wanted to wish you all the best of luck. I hope all yoru dreams come true this fall!

good morning everyone
this is short cause i'm on my way back to the hospital.
DH ended up having pretty major surgery on saturday. after over 4 hours of surgery they ended up removing 2 feet of his small intestines!! they got all the bad stuff out, and are very happy with how everything went. he will be a new man after all of this and we are so excited! he is in a ton of pain, and will be in the hospital until thursday or friday. it has been very stressful, but he is making a good recovery. thank you all for your thoughts.
afm...i started bleeding yesterday...like really bleeding...bright red! i cried alot, and today i woke up just knowing it is all over! i am still taking my meds, and will go for my beta tomorrow morning even though i know its over. my nurse told me i had to go anyway. i am just so emotionally drained i cant even react to all of this.
it was just really bad timing, and i'm sure the stress is what made this cycle fail.
i am just so lucky to have DH healthy so thats what i'm focusing on.
we have 1 frostie...not sure what we will do...i think we will move on to donor embies now and see what happens.
thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! they mean the world to me.
i'm gonna be in the hospital tomorrow to get the bad news with DH. (sounds like fun huh?) so i wont be around a computer.

****much love always****

Ryann- So glad your Dad is ok and I'll pray that he does well after his next surgery also. Glad to hear that you will be starting your FET cycle in a month or so!

Franny- I am so sorry for everything you have been through in the last couple of weeks. My heart aches for you and your DH.

Klinger- are you getting excited for next week when you start your shots? Are you starting Lupron on the 8th or do you go right to stims?

Blang- How did your trigger shot go last night? Good luck with your ER tomorrow!

Karin- I know it was a set back in your ED cycle but the testing will give you peace of mind that your little one will be perfect in everyway. Hang in there and keep up your PMA!

miyaya- You are doing the right thing by getting extra opinions about your next cycle. Hopefully they will have a good game plan for you when your ready to start again.

AFM- IS IT FRIDAY YET?

Franny-my thoughts are with you and DH. Please keep up your health so that you are strong for Barry and I hope for a speedy recovery for him. I am praying that the bleeding is just breakthrough bleeding like I had for both my BFP's but either way I am here for support. xoxo

Rypell - glad to hear your dad is doing better

Franny - Sorry DH had to go through surgery but hopefully he will be a new and improved DH, my prayers are with you that you still get a BFP.

hopeforbabies - another strong beta- c'mon!

Tammy - are you getting anohter beta to rule out ectopic?

miyaya - have you considered donor eggs or donor embies? So sorry to hear, you made tons of eggs :) maybe a different RE might do the trick!

Karin - WTF? at least you know you are testing and making sure everything is A ok but sorry for the delay

turtle/chili/Tess/Krys - Keep those BFPs coming! Yep -all of you!

blang - congrats on triggering and being our next PUPO!

Lauren - fert report? Puhlleeeease!!!!

Klinger - yeay for moving forward!!!!

AFM - I really need your prayers. My SIL who is an angel and the only supportive person through this whole IVF thing for me - her brother had back surgery and 2 years later they found out he got an infection during surgery and now he has flesh eating bacteria eating him form the inside. He is in massive pain and meds and we really need your prayers so that he can hopefully recover, the doctors said he is going to die but best case scenario he is paralised from the waist down. Please pray for him, his name is Lou. Thank you!
