Hi everyone,

My hubby and I are attempting our second IVF cycle. We start Lupron injections on Oct 7th. The first time we attempted IVF I didn't respond to the medications, so we had to stop. We took the summer off from our fertility struggles and are now starting up. I received my medications in the mail on Friday. I forgot how overwhelming that giant box of drugs can feel! We are very excited and a little anxious about this whole process. I often find myself feeling like this isn't going to work. I am working very hard at having a positive attitude, but it is hard for me. I am also concerned about my stress level. I work as an RN in a very fast paced ICU. That alone produces a ton of stress. How do you guys deal with stress and all of the emotions that go along with IVF?

I am glad I found this group. I am so happy to have someone that knows what my husband and I are going through. Good luck to everyone!

Well ladies, I did it. I bought a puppy. Boxer #2, named Sox will join us next Saturday!!!! I will post a pic when I'm on the computer and not my phone!! I must be nuts...Sox comes home Saturday and I start Lupron that Monday! Yikes!

ryann- awe..i love boxers! ours is going to be 11 in february. i can't wait to see pictures. wow, in the last 2 weeks, lauren1171, you, & me got new furbabies...so exciting! i like that name, too! dh & i were thinking about "sox" or "boston" since we are red sox fans. i'm really sorry about your dad. my prayers are with him. i'm glad that your re is being proactive about getting your fet done sooner than later. so when are you think your fet will be? how's school going?

annie- welcome! this is such an awesome place of support! so sorry about having to cancle your 1st cycle. hopefully, this will be the 1! as far as stress & emotions, i really look at everything from a much bigger perspecitive. whatever may be stressing me out that day, i tell myself is not worth letting it affect my chances of ivf working & getting pregnant. it's definitely not easy though. what kind of protocol will you be on?

brandy- that's a great fert report! you'll be pupo in no time! good luck on your et on monday

sonya- hi!!! i've been thinking about you! how are you? i'm so glad you're starting back up again. glad your meds arrived & you are back on the rollercoaster!

amanda1979- great to hear from you! i don't have any answers for you, but i would definitely check w/ your re or ob/gyn. please keep us updated on how you & dh are doing.

tess- congrats mama! those are awesome #s! is your 2nd beta on sunday?

lauren1171- omg...how freakin cute!!! she is so tiny! what's her name? yes, less than 3 months away from christmas & the last month is always a zoo!

lou- i'm so gald your et was not cancelled & don't worry about the date change, everything will work itself out. so et will be this thursday...not much longer! hope you're enjoying your school reunion & not getting too many "how many kids do you have?" questions. & if they are, i think your plan that you mentioned is perfect...i would say the same thing!

chili- i'm so sorry sweetie! (((HUGS))) please let us know what your re says & i hope that you can get back on this crazy rollercoaster.

margi- ouch, sounds like you're in a lot of pain. i'm hoping wednesday's surgery brings you some relief. doing the af dance for you

afm..not much going on here. af got here thursday, so i should have her again on/around october 29th, so i will probably have my baseline by the end of october. we have an appointment w/ my re next monday, the 11th. roscoe is such a cute puppy...he is growing too fast!!! we got him a halloween outfit...spiderman! he looks so freakin adorable in it. he is actually sleeping right next to me & snoring away! here are some pics of him:

Ryann - yay for puppies. My pug is just over a year old and is an absolute clown. She's pooped after a long walk down the beach and snoring away on the armchair. Can't wait to see the pics of you new boy.

Annie - welcome to the 'great bunch of ladies' board!

Sonya - as if IVF isn't stressful enough without having to worry about your meeds arriving. Glad it's all worked out though.

Lauren319 - IVF is really hard on relationships. My advice would be to not sweat the small stuff. I've found that a lot of DH's and my arguments usually start from a really trivial disagreement. I've been making a real conscious effort to not niggle away at the little things that he does that bug the hell out of me! It really helps. Our clinic also highly recommends counseling for all couples going through IVF. DH and I had several counseling sessions prior to IVF starting to help us make some of the big decisions.

Amanda - I hope you get some good clear advice from your doctors about meds. Good luck with DH's near tests.

Krys - how are you doing?

Wondercat - forgot to mention that your post re MILs made me crack up. You are very funny.

AFM - second beta on Weds 6th Oct. Arghhh! So far away - 5 days from my first. Have had a lovely day today, walking and then gardening (with my gloves on!). DH and I are off to see our friends with the wee IVF boy soon. Can't wait. The boy's mother is a doctor so it's always good to chat about IVF with her - a nice balance between doc and friend talk.

Anyway ladies, best go and spruce myself up a bit. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Tess...Congrats Momma! I am so excited to hear that rising beta on Wednesday! Good luck! The boxer that we have already is just over a year and I have wanted to get her a playmate forever! We finally took the plunge...my birthday is in 2 weeks so the new pup is my present!

Esther...I LOVE ROSCOE!!!! Oh my good is he the sweetest, smushiest little guy ever! There is something about a flat, smushy face that melts my heart! I wanted to name our first boxer Sox, but then decided on Boots. So now we will have Boots and Sox! We may end up being PUPO together...my FET should be mid-November (yours should be close to then if AF is due Oct.29, right??). School is going alright, I have a tough class this year. With all this mainstreaming of special ed students my class is 30% special education. If I had any more IEPs in my room I would have to have my special ed. certificate, which I don't. It is just quite challenging...but a VERY good group of kids! How about you?

Anniegirl...Welcome! Sounds like you and I will be very close...I start Lupron on the 11th. Sounds like a stressful job, but I try to remind myself that people who can get pregnant the old fashioned way go about their normal lives and look at all the babies there are. I don't think there will ever be the "perfect" time for IVF....you just have to go with it!

AFM....I'm going to post a pic of the new puppy. He is 8 weeks old and we are going to get him next weekend because the breeder is 6 hours away and it was a last minute decision yesterday afternoon. I found him online and ocnvinces DH. By the time I paid the deposit, if we had left we would have been getting home in the middle of the night and DH is at the Sox game today. At least I get a week to prep for him now. He is from the same place as the boxer I already have, and I think he has the same daddy. He looks just like her, but he doesn't have the white mask on his face that my Boots has. I just keep laughing because now that I added a puppy to the mix, I'm sure there will be babies soon in my future! At least I hope!

It is so wonderful to be back in the saddle... I've done two nights of injectables and am on TWICE the dose I was last time... and last time I produced 22 eggs!

I fly out of here tomorrow and DH is getting me a new laptop so I will be able to follow all the news and have plenty of time to do it while in Vancouver. I'm going to be staying at an old roommate's place this time and am thrilled - I'll get some gf time in instead of staying in a stupid hotel for three weeks. My docs let me do the first week of stims here so I'll only be gone two weeks this time.

I'm very excited about this cycle and very hopeful! I will catch up on all the news soon.. just browsing from work (I own the business so Ive been at work all month so I can leave guilt-free and no pc at home), but I'll get on track soon.

transferred one little perfect embie yesterday Two others were thought to be "normal", but the sample was contaminated so they're not 100% sure. One was frozen today, the other may be frozen tomorrow. This time it was all girls. Go figure.

Ester - I love Roscoe! My boy is Barry and my girl is going to be Sandy. My DH is obsessed with Barry Sanders and the Lions. Our wedding colors were even blue and silver. Barry's middle name is Sanders with our last name. I hope they get along because he is extremely spoiled! He is sleeping under my covers between my legs as I write.

Sonya - 22 eggs last time. Wow! Did you get any OHSS symptoms at all. Can't wait to see how many you produce this time.

AFM - I've got a big day on Wednesday - my second beta and a job interview. Thankfully my job interview will be before I get the beta results. I wouldn't be much use if I heard bad news and then had to go for the interview. The interview shouldn't be too bad though as I know the panel really well.

Sorry this is only a short post. It was my first day back at work after a week and a bits holiday so a bit of a shock to the system.

AFM, today is my last day on BCPs, YAY! Next step for me will be to go in Friday a.m. for my baseline and if all looks good, start stims that day. Well I said I wouldn't do it but I did. I poas this morning.
Not sure if it helped my confusion or not. There was the
faintest positive I thought it was just me hoping to see the
positive but my hubby saw it too. However I just checked it
again and the lines are gone now... What does that even mean?!?
I really don't want to go through all this again I'm so sick of having
everything go perfectly and still no result. What the heck is wrong
with me?? I have had no symptoms except for all the ones that come
with taking the lovely progesterone shots.. The wierd thing is that those
shots were killing me all last week I could hardly walk and then this
weekend my butt was almost back to normal. I'm not doing anything
differently and I have no clue why this would be happening all of a sudden.

Anyways thanks for listening to my venting session I have held it together very
well this past while but my beta is creeping up on Thursday and I'm dreading it!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, I will do personals when I'm feeling less
frustrated.

Hello LADIES!!!!

Some of you may remember me...I cycled back in April and was about to start a cycle in July but unfortunately I had to cancel I hd a lot of persona things going on and I apologize for disappearing!!

But I am BACK!! I go on Monday oct 11 for my baelie follie count..I tink? Then I start estrogen pills until I get AF which should be soewhere between 7-10 days and then I stat stims if all is well with my bloodwork and ultrasounds!! So ER should be somewhere after Oct29-first week in Nov!!!!! I am VERY EXCITED!!

I dont know how I am gonna figure out who is what on this board...there are so many of you ladies ad thats awesome!! We ned all the support we can get from eachother..

I have missed you all and I am so glad to back and I am hopig for my BFP as well as cheering you all on from the sidelines!!!
