Hi everyone - computer on the blink!!

Post by Lisa Ch »

Hello all
so many new names its excellent news. Our computer has been away for about 6 weeks and I felt like I had lost an arm!!!, no logging on or catching up and I can't even remember at what stage I went off.

Quick update, I am now nearly 31 weeks!!! can you believe it, both are still in the same position, first head down second is transverse. Tracey I was also told to try naturally as the second baby should turn (hopefully)
We are starting to get things ready for our hospital bags etc, and I had my first ever line of baby clothes out to dry (quite emotional)
At the last scan 28 weeks, they measured more or less the same just mm between and weights of approx 2lb 10 and 2lb 12 which the hospital were pleased with.
Have started ante natal classes for twin moms to be - its quite interesting and nice to talk to other people. The delivery room was quite daunting dreamt of stirrups and pooh all night!!!
The plan is to have a membrane sweep at 36 weeks which if I am ready might encourage procedures to progress naturally. If not planned date for 38 weeks for induction or c-section, still unsure what to go for. I can't imagine pushing hard enough incase extras come out!!! ( do you get diarreha (can never spell it) if you are induced???

Anyway enough about me and pooh, Nicola brilliant news for you so happy about the birth of your lovely girls. Hope you are feeling much better, not sure if you/or they are still in hospital, have lots of reading and catching up to do. Take care and congratulations. xx

Dagny, hope you had a lovely holiday, are you still planning to start again in June? take special care, really touched by your dignity and courage and well done on the new forum.x

Tracey S how quick time flies, couldn,t believe you are already 25 weeks soooooo pleased that all is going well, it looks like 2 little madams in there ( God knows where they came from!!!!! )

Phil why are you in for a c-section? you sound well take care. x

Vicky - where are you and how are you getting on??? Hope all is well let me have an update. x

Bel B - good to see you back, excellent news about your 12 week scan, take care x

To everybody- good luck with your pregnancies take care and enjoy them.

Sorry could go on all day, will get back to reading all your news.

Love Lisa

Phew I can breathe again - had not realized your pc was on the blink.! Thrilled everything ok - I know what you mean about what to go with natural or C - I like to think I can manage natural and is better but then worry I can't or something will go wrong........... you know the thing.
I am now 27.3 and can't believe it - do you feel like a right water buffalo?
And it's so hot in bed. HAve a scan next thursday when will be nearly 29 weeks and then will sort out a visit round the hospital - have not even sorted ante natal - what am I like? and as for hospital bag not sure when to start that!
TAke care and keep us posted
Love

hi lisa,

great to have you back and know that all is well. time is going unbelieveably fast now isn't it. it seemed like just weeks ago we were all nervous about our 12 wk scans.

i'm 30 weeks (omg eight weeks to go!!). going out today to buy car seat, pushchair etc. we've bought baby clothes and teddies. i am still no where near as organised as you and tracey though by the sounds of it.

i opted for a c-section. my consultant seemed to think i would possibly be in for a long labour, don't know how he could know, and based on having m/c's, ivf's and my age was approved for it. thankfully it's not because of any known complications.

i guess i'm one of those people all of the controversy was about in the papers recently but don't let me get started on that subject, the babies would be here and i'd still be going on.

it's really great to know your babies are doing well. you sound in good form too.

Lisa,

Hi, not sure that you remember me (use to log on as ibarealtor, cannot get that logon to work anymore so had to make a new one.)

You and I got positive pg results within days of each other(along with beckym :( ) and both found out we were having twins.. I used to post daily until I started getting very nervous about everything and stopped posting and just continued to read... This site has been so much of my support through this entire pregnancy as it seems to be for so many of us!

WELL, I was wondering were you had gone and if everything was o.k., so it is such a releif to see you back on here. :D

I am also at 31wks and cannot believe it!! It really has went so fast.. I have also begun to get my hospital bag ready as I'm not sure to expect this to happen anytime or are we twin mums going to go closer to our encouraged 37wk mark. I wish I new--- I am such a planner!! I read that you had your first line of baby clothes out to dry. That is so exciting!! Did you ever find out the sex of the babies or are you going to be surprised!? We did find out that we're having a boy/girl and are very excited although it is still all to hard for me to actually believe.( Even though I look like a blimp!!) I don't think I'm actually going to believe that we've made it through this whole ivf thing until those babies are actually in my arms!! :? Cannot wait for that day...

So glad to see your back and doing well and the same for all the others out there. Now that I'm feeling more comfortable I am going to try and post a little more.

goodluck to everyone and soo many twin moms out there!!! :D

Hi
thanks as ever for your quick replies.

Of course I remember you Annette, would be nice to see you posting so pleased everything is going well. I know what you mean about not quite believing it, I feel the same until they are both safely in my arms and I am told that everything is fine I will not believe it is happening to me.

I didn't find out the sex just want it all to be a surprise. Can't agree on any names though, picking 2 of each is hard work!!
My brother is getting married in 2 weeks and I need an outfit, its a nightmare normal maternity clothes do not fit. I have ended up with a MASSIVE pair of copped pants and a top (not the most flattering of outfits but hey where would I rather be  )

I have finished work now so feel a bit more relaxed, met a girl at Aqua natal who is also pregnant with twins and just 2 weeks behind me, so that has been nice.

Feels good to be posting again

Hi Lisa

Glad to see you back on line again. It's so flipping annoying when the computer plays up :x but good to see you back.

I can imagin it must have been wonderful seeing those little baby things drying on the line, aaaaaawwwwwwww how cute!!!!

I am hoping to my 4th treatment in June but it is also when Katelyn was due on the 19th so it will be strange too. It will be my 36th birthday on the 21st as well so I suppose it's all go. Very apprehensive about it all as I do over stimulate and just hope and pray it works.

Hope you manage to find a nice outfit for your brothers wedding.

Take care

Love Dagny xkx
